As promised, the next chapter in Pokemon Ninja is up!

"I challenge you to a Pokemon battle!" Naruto yelled loudly.

Red, who was unfortunate enough to be standing next to the hyperactive ninja put her hands over her ears in pain,"Wow, could you talk any louder?" she whispered to herself.

Brock laughed,"Sure, I accept you challenge, but first tell me your name."

"I'm Naruto Uzumaki, dattebayo, and I'm going to become the Ho -er, Pokemon Master!"

"Okay, I'll be ready in five minutes, wait until then please," Brock replied.

"I'll be waiting, dattebayo!"

It was five minutes later and everyone was ready and raring to go. Red was sitting on the stone bleachers as moral support for Naruto. The loud ninja himself was standing on one side of the rocky battle arena, with Brock on the other side. A referee was standing on the left side of the field where the stone bleachers were located in the middle.

"Okay," said the referee,"Each participant will have two Pokemon, only the challenger, Naruto Uzumaki, may switch out Pokemon at any time. The last Pokemon standing wins. Begin!"

Almost simultanously, Naruto and Brock threw their Pokemon out at the same, well Brock threw his out, Naruto just pulled Kurama out from his jacket and nudged it into the arena. Kurama looked annoyed at being woken up, but realizing that it was about to fight didn't try to convey it's annoyance.

Brock had sent out a Pokemon that Naruto recognized from before that Brock had been training. Red, of course, knew it as the Pokemon, Geodude, Naruto didn't know what it was, but it didn't really bother him as he ordered Kurama to fight.

"Kurama, use Ember!"

The tiny fox obliged and blew the fire at the Geodude.

Brock didn't even bother to tell Geodude to dodge. The fire more or less just rolled right off it, causing so little damage, it didn't even flinch.

Naruto was quite confused by this, and Red, noticing his confused expression shouted,"Naruto, remember type weaknesses and strengths!"

"Oh, yeah," Naruto said out loud, he'd completely forgotten about that and now that he thought about it, fire wasn't very effective against rock.

While Naruto was contemplating his mistake, Brock called out to Geodude,"Use Tackle!"

The Geodude complied and went in to Tackle the Vulpix.

Snapping back to the fight, Naruto said, "Kurama, use your own tackle to counter it!"

At that, Kurama rushed at the Geodude, and they hit head on. Both Pokemon went flying backward from the hit. After a few seconds, Kurama stood up, panting. The Geodude got up also, looking sufficiently more tired.

"Okay, Kurama, come back," Naruto called to the tired little Vulpix.

Kurama obeyed and gratefully climbed into Naruto's jacket.

"Okay Kunai, it's your turn out there."

Kunai bobbed it's head and ran out to the battlefield.

Brock looked wearily at the water - type Pokemon, knowing that it had the advantage over his rock - types.

"Kunai, use Water Gun!"

The Squirtle quickly built up the water and shot it at the Geodude.

"Geodude, dodge it," Brock shouted.

Geodude attempted to get out of the way, but was too late. It got hit nearly point blank. The rock - type fell to the ground, unconscious.

"Geodude is unable to battle, Kunai wins," the referee shouted.

Brock returned his KO'd Pokemon to it's Pokeball. The gym leader grabbed a ball from his belt,"Go, Onix!" He shouted, throwing the ball into the arena.

"Allright Kunai, use Water Gun again!"

Before Kunai could use it, Brock said,"Onix, use Bind!"

Way faster than Kunai could spit out the water, it was bound up in the rock snake's body.

The Squirtle looked as though it was in pain as it was trapped.

"Um... Kunai, use Defense Curl!"

Kunai, still looking pained retreated it's entire body into it's shell. The shell was pretty much unbreakable, and because of the strength of the bind, Kunai got launched out of it. The poor Squirtle flew across the room. It landed on the ground still in it's shell.

Very slowly, Kunai came out of it, looking quite wary. Naruto was quite releaved that it was okay, if not just worse for wear.

"Kunai, quickly, use Water Gun!"

Kunai very swiftly complied and before Brock could get out a syllable to tell Onix to do anything, it was hit. Naruto was hoping it would go down in one hit, but there was no such luck. Onix looked severely pained from it though, and it would probably only take one more hit to KO it.

"Onix, use Bind again!" Brock shouted.

In the blink of an eye, Kunai was in a bind again (pun intended), and looked like it was about to fall into unconsciousness.

Realizing that this was his last chance, Naruto called out to it,"Kunai, please use just one last Water Gun!"

Kunai winced and fired the water at Onix. Onix went limp, effectively dropping Kunai. Kunai fell to the floor. The referee looked at Onix and Kunai in turn,"Neither Pokemon is able to battle, the winner is Naruto Uzumaki."

Red, who was still in the stands let out a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding. Brock returned Onix to it's Pokeball. Naruto ran out into the field and picked up Kunai who was slowly regaining consciousness.

"Good job, Kunai," he said,"You too Kurama," he added, poking the Vulpix inside his jacket.

Kurama let out a slightly annoyed growl and Naruto laughed. Brock walked across the arena toward Naruto, and Red was running down from the stands.

"Congratulations, Naruto," She said, reaching him rather quickly.

"Thanks," Naruto said smiling.

Brock finally reached his oppenent,"Thank you for the battle," he said.

"Yeah, it was fun," Naruto said, still smiling.

"Well, I suppose you've earned this," Brock said, pulling something out from one of his pockets," This is the Boulder Badge that you get for beating me."

Naruto reached out and took it,"Wow, thanks."

"No problem," he replied.

"Hey," Red interrupted.

"Yes?" Brock relplied.

"Um... I was wondering if I could challenge you too...er, that is after your Pokemon are healed."

"Of course," Brock smiled,"How about in two days."

Red nodded,"Sure!"

Naruto and Red were walking back to the Pokemon Center.

"Hey Naruto," Red said.

"Hm?" Naruto said, looking up from the badge he'd been admiring for the past ten minutes.

"Will you help me train for the gym battle, tomorrow?"

"Sure, dattebayo," Naruto relplied.

"Thanks," Red smiled,"Do you want to get something to eat?" It was a little bit past lunchtime and Red was starving.

"Yeah," Naruto agreed enthusiastically,"But first, I want to take Kunai and Kurama back to rest."

"Of course," Red said, nodding.

"Race you there!" Naruto yelled, taking off at a sprint.

Red sighed and shook her head before running after him.
