Paul stood outside baby alphas window with his mouth hanging open. He wasn't the only one.
"Finally." Paul said, he was happy for Jake. He wanted nothing more than for both of them to be happy, he just hoped the imprint didn't fuck it up for them.

"I know." Jared said. He quickly shook his head to stop thinking about them. "We should give them some privacy." Jared said as he walked into the woods to shift.

"Are you sure?" Paul said as he lowered his voice and followed behind, Jake could still hear them but it was for manners sake. They both stripped down and shifted.

As soon as they did the rest of the pack saw what they had just heard.
"Holy hell." Brady said.

"Oh yeah, someone's gonna get lucky." Collin said as he started thinking of porno music in his head.

"Butt out guys." Leah said. She didn't want them over hearing something private. She was coming around to liking Bella more, she had been a great help to her family after her dads passing.

"I agree, let's give them some room." Sam said as the pack left them.

The pack ventured deeper into the woods out of hearing range. Once they were far enough Paul recalled what he had witnessed with Bella and Leech King.

"I don't like Bella having his number but I sure as hell don't like that he has hers. What the fuck was all that about them calling each other?" Seth said as he thought about Marcus words.

"I don't like it either. He seems to have another agenda." Leah agreed with her brother.

"Oh great, as if we don't have enough to worry about." Paul said.

"I understand your apprehension Paul but there is nothing we can do about it. We must just be prepared to handle whatever may come our way." Sam said with confidence but inside he was scared. Emily being the first thing on his mind but he had to exude confidence to calm his pack. No need to shake their confidence.
"Paul, in an hour call Jake. Let's give them some time for now but he must be filled in on the plan." Sam said.

As they continued to patrol and communicate Sam was showing them his plan. The pack stayed quiet and listened intently. They didn't want to be ill prepared just in case.

Marcus could not stop primping meticulously. The guard had brought him everything he needed to make himself presentable. Alec found it cute to see his master trying very hard to impress his daughter. When Aro touched his hand he said he shared his sentiment.

"Marcus you look fine. Just stop all of your ridiculous fussing. I'm sure she does not care which shirt you wear." Caius said as he watched his two brothers ponder which shirt was the most becoming. Well, they pondered about their entire ensemble.

"Patience brother. Understand that we simply want to look our best." Aro said sweetly while giving his brother a glare when Marcus wasn't looking.

"I just want to make sure I look decent. I am going to tell her about our bond and the last thing I want is to look intimidating to her." Marcus said while trying to figure out which suit jacket made him look more approachable.

Caius simply rolled his eyes and muttered "That ship has sailed." It made Marcus growl slightly, Caius raised his hands in defeat and walked away.

Marcus winced internally. Is it too late? Have I already pushed her away since the day of our first meeting? Marcus thought.

Aro looked at his brother and touched his hand. He didn't like his brothers' quandaries. He more than likely was intimidating their first meeting but Bella would get over that once she touches Marcus. Their bond will cement itself in their hearts and nothing will break it.

"Nonsense Marcus. She will love you. Trust the bond. You yourself will watch it grow and ensure its strength." Aro said.

Marcus simply nodded, he knew he was being ridiculous but he couldn't help it. Didyme was his one true love and now the gods have taken mercy on him and sent a ray of light in his dim existence. A daughter, a wonderful girl who resembles his dear departed wife.

Aro glared at Caius for being an inconsiderate ass. Caius simply walked away. He knew he had pushed a little too hard and it was best to give them space. He just didn't like all of the fussing they had to do to get his niece. Why couldn't they just take her? She would be turned, her bond would be strengthened and she would remain in the castles tower with the wives for all of eternity. Why were they making it so difficult?

The eerie calm that had spread throughout the forest was deafening. Bella was used to the melody of the wind through the trees and animals frolicking. But nothing dared to make a sound now.

She had arrived on Jacobs back, it was weird. Sam, Jacob and Paul had placed themselves around her enclosing her in a triangle of protection with the rest of the wolves spread out. Jared was acting as guard for their land with Seth, Brady, Collin and another pack member. Leah was in the halfway point of the treaty line and the nearest wolf on patrol. They needed her to be there so she could run to where she was needed most fast.

Jacob had shifted back to human form and was holding Bella securely in his arms while also shielding her slightly behind him. He was ready to shift back at the drop of a hat. Sam had told him he wanted him to speak with the Volturi kings instead of himself since he wanted to be able to communicate with the other wolves and organize them for attack if need be. Besides it was Bella who would be taking the lead.

The pack instantly froze and a low rumble could be heard from Jacob as they all felt the presence of the vampires come closer.

The Volturi came in perfect formation. Aro wanted all of them to come to show that they were not going to make a sneak attack and to partially intimidate. Just because Bella was their princess didn't mean that the wolves were safe.
The lower guard stood back and the only ones near the treaty line were the three kings, Alec, Demetri and the rest of the high guard.
Marcus wore a slight smile on his face, he was barely able to hide his anticipation. He wanted nothing more than to tell her and make their parental bond solidify.

Marcus looked directly at Bella and smiled. She was so close. He could sense something was different. When he read her bonds again a new one had formed. Her romantic bond was leading to the wolf next to her. He didn't know what to make of it but the bond from the wolf to her as stronger and pure. He could at least take solace in knowing she was loved. Marcus gave Aro his hand and showed him what he sees. All of the bonds leading to and fro his daughter. She was loved and protected, he couldn't have asked for better friends for her. He was happy.

Aro smiled slightly. His niece was with the wolf now, a bit of a complication for Caius no doubt, she had friends willing to die for her. Aro saw the nervousness in Bella's face so he took the lead.

"Hello my dear, my name is Aro Volturi. It is a pleasure to finally meet you." Aro said as he slightly bowed his head in her direction. A sign of respect and an example for all of the guard to follow.

"H-Hello." Bella said nervously. "My name is Bella, I have heard a lot about you Aro." Bella said as she stepped a bit out of Jacobs's arms. He didn't let her go but allowed her to move in front of him slightly. He wasn't going to let his guard down.

"All good things I hope." Aro said smiling, he knew that wasn't true thanks to Edward.

"Mostly." Bella said with a tensed smile. Her heart was racing. She wanted this to be over. Everyone was in danger because of her.

"Well, why don't I introduce the rest of our coven." Aro said changing the subject to relax Bella. "This is our brother Caius." Aro said pointing to his brother.

"Hello Bella, It's a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance." Caius said with a slight bow of his own. He didn't like the way the wolf was pawing at his niece.

"Hello Caius, nice to meet you as well." Bella said. She didn't know what else to say. 'Hello vampire king who might kill me.'

"This is Demetri." Aro said as he motioned for Demetri to step forward.

"Pleasure to meet you Miss Swan." Demetri said politely. To his princess.

"Please just call me Bella Demetri. Nice to meet you." Bella said not liking the very formal manner he greeted her.

Demetri simply vowed his head in response and stepped back into line.

"And I believe you have met Alec before." Aro said with a slight smile.

Alec stepped forward and bowed his head. "Nice to see you again Miss Swan. Hopefully this time things will be much more pleasant." Alec said getting a collective growl from the entire pack.

Bella pressed her hand to Jacobs's chest to calm him. It worked. No one liked that particular leech.
"Just Bella Alec. I hope so as well." Bella replied.

"Well then now let's get down to the reason we are all here now shall we?" Aro said with way too much enthusiasm.

Jacob held Bella closer. He didn't want her to go anywhere near that freak. Bella simply squeezed his hand in support.

"Is it absolutely necessary?" Bella asked shyly. She didn't want to show Aro all of the secrets she was entrusted with. So many people could be killed because of her.

Aro held his hands together and observed his niece. He could tell her apprehension wasn't for herself but rather for the people around her. 'Such a noble heart.'

"Yes my dear I'm afraid it is. It is the only way to make sure you have never nor will ever reveal our secret." Aro said as he held out his hand to her.

Jacob wanted to bring up her promise to Marcus but he knew it would just lead to another conversation that would end right back to where they are now. Bella nudged his arm to bring him back from his thoughts.

"Very well, but it will only be me correct?" Bella asked.

"Yes of course my dear. That is unless someone volunteers." Aro said with slight eagerness. He only received glares and angry growls. "Never mind."

"Jacob will be accompanying me to the half way point between us. Given the circumstances of what happened last time we thought it would be best." Bella said as she held onto Jacobs hand firmly for confidence.

Some of the guard stirred from behind the Volturi. They didn't like the idea of a wolf coming that close to their king.

Aro raised his hand to silence them. He figured as much by the way the boy held onto his niece. His animal instincts are probably in overdrive.

"That's understandable my dear. Come." Aro said as he walked towards the half point between them.

Bella and Jacob made their way to the half way point and Jacob was dragging his feet on the way. Paul could barely let Bella pass. Thankfully he resisted the urge to kidnap her.

The three of them stood face to face with only three feet of space separating them. It was far too close for Jacobs liking.
Marcus watched with anticipation, he couldn't wait to tell her about their bond. He would have liked to do it in private but she would end up telling the wolves herself and their entire coven already knew so it was only fair. Besides, they wouldn't have left her alone with him in the first place.

Bella looked at Aros waiting hand and took a dreaded step forward. With Jacob holding her arm for support and security Bella touched Aros cold solid 'skin, she shuddered slightly at the temperature but what mostly affected her was the over powering feeling of trust. She felt fine, all of her anxiety and fear had evaporated in that moment. Jacob noticed her body relax so he squeezed her reassuringly thinking she had gone numb.

Aro on the other hand was speechless. He saw nothing. NOTHING. In over three thousand years that had never happened. She was completely blank to him. He tried to concentrate harder but it was useless. He felt Bella pull her hand away from him, that was the only thing to bring him out of his trance.

"I see nothing." Aro said in a low whisper. The Volturi were shocked while the wolves were relieved.

"Excuse me?" Bella said not sure of what he had said.

"I don't see anything." Aro said somberly. If her gift was this powerful in human form then she had enormous potential as a vampire. He had to quickly reel those thoughts in. He didn't want to get carried away with his niece.

"Really?" Bella said while holding her hands to her chest. "Is there something wrong with me?" Bella asked wanting to know what was wrong with her. Edward couldn't read her mind and now Aro couldn't read her.

"Nothing is wrong with you Bella." Jacob said reassuringly as he brought her back to the safety of his arms.

"He's right my dear. It only means that your gift is strong in human form." Aro said trying to explain to Bella the significance of her power.

"My gift?" Bella asked.

"Some vampires such as myself have gifts that manifested themselves while we were human. I always had the ability to read people by touching them. So when I was turned my gift reached its potential and strengthened." Aro explained. "If you so ever desire to become one of us then your natural gift will surely grow with your change." Aro said getting a very angry response.

Jacob held Bella close and leapt eight feet backwards away from Aro. The Wolves closed ranks around them when Jacob reached the safety of the circle the guys had created with their enormous bodies.
Alec and Demetri leapt in front of Caius and Marcus while the rest of the guard took a crouching stance.
Bella shook in Jacobs arms while tears ran down her face. It all happened too fast for her and she didn't want to be the reason for more bloodshed.

Marcus instantly took over.
"ENOUGH." Marcus said with authority and anger clear in his voice.

"Stand down." Marcus said to the guard.
"My dear, my brother did not mean it as a threat. He simply speaks before thinking." Marcus said as he glared towards Aro who was back to his original spot with his brothers.
"I would never let harm come to you mia bella." Marcus said lovingly.

Jacob didn't like what Marcus was saying especially the way he was saying it. It was too personal.

"Why?" Bella asked not being able to look away from his eyes.
"Better yet why do I believe you?" Bella asked herself more than asking Marcus.

"Bells." Jacob said in a soft voice. He wanted to ask so many questions but couldn't.

Marcus smiled gently. She can feel it. He thought.
"If you touch my hand it will be clear to you." Marcus said. He wanted nothing more than to run to her and hold her close. His reputation be damned. He would turn to pudding at her command.

"No." Jacob said afraid of what they had planned.

Marcus glared at him for a moment and then returned his gaze towards Bella.

Bella stood there trying to make sense of everything that was happening but no matter what her brain told her was safest her heart told her to go to him. He wouldn't hurt her.
She turned to Jacob and kissed him on the lips. (Caius's eyes went wide for half a second)
"It's okay." She said as she stepped out of his hold. Paul stepped in front of her pleading her to stop with his eyes. Bella simply kissed him on his furry forehead. Jacob reached her in two long strides and held her hand. He wasn't going to let her go alone.

Marcus was at the treaty line in a second. He wasn't going to walk now that he was so close. That little move wasn't very well received by the wolves.

Bella and Marcus had their eyes locked on each other as she walked closer.
Marcus stretched out his hand to her and looked at her longingly. He had waited millennia for her but these milliseconds were the most unbearable.
Bella felt loved with his gaze and feared nothing. She reached his hand and her world shifted. She could feel his unconditional love fill her heart next to the spot her father held. Marcus Volturi was her father. An eternal father who would literally love her until the end of time.

She squeezed his hand in return and chocked up with tears. She loved him too.
She let go of Jake and pulled Marcus into and embrace. She cried as she rested her face against his chest. His scent was soothing and his arms felt like 'home'.

Marcus wanted to weep with his daughter more than anything. His cold unbeating heart felt as if it was racing. The moment he felt her skin he watched their bond solidify and glow brightly. She felt like warmth, warmth. He hadn't felt that in so long. She was his reason for existing now, just like her mother was before her.

Aro, Caius and the guard looked on with joy. They had their princess now and nothing would take her away from them.

The pack was another story. They were just staring. No one had a clue as to what was going on. Jacob didn't know what to do, his wolf wanted to pry her away from the leech but since she looked so happy he couldn't bring himself to separate them. The leech even looked happy himself. What the fuck? Jacob thought over and over again.

After Bella and Marcus had their moment Bella was the first to pull away. She didn't leave his arms, she just wanted to be able to look at him.
"What happened?" Bella asked wanting to know why she just did what she did.

"That's what we want to know."Jacob said with a face that showed anger, jealousy, fear and curiosity.

Upon seeing his face Bella pulled away from Marcus who didn't want her to go away. She stopped when only half of her body was free from his embrace. She still held his arm in hers and with the other she reached to hold Jacobs hand. Once Jacob held her hand he relaxed. His wolf needed the physical touch more than the man.

Marcus was okay with sharing her as long as she didn't let go. He could see the love and devotion the boy had for her so it was fine, for now.

"I am your father." Marcus said.

The wolves were going nuts with that little bit of information. If that was her father then what was Charlie.
Jacob just stood there trying to process the 'how'.

"What? But Charlie-" Bella said before Marcus cut her off.

"Not your biological father my dear but your father none the less. You can feel the bond now correct?" Marcus said as he brushed his hand on her cheek.

"That's what that was? I felt so safe and loved in your arms. I thought I was insane for a second." Bella said as she processed the information.

"You are perfectly sane my dear. You were just feeling our bond complete itself when our hands touch. It started the day we looked at each other for the first time in the woods. I knew then you were my daughter. I just couldn't tell you given the circumstances." Marcus said gesturing to the pack with his free hand.

"I remember that. I felt something when I saw you too but I ignored it since at the moment I was dangling from a tree." Bella said in Alec's direction.

The guard looked at Alec wondering what he had been keeping from them. Alec simply looked towards the trees avoiding eye contact.

"Yes, that will never happen again. I made sure of it." Marcus said in a threatening tone towards Alec who was now trying not to look scared out of his mind.

"That's why you returned. You couldn't stay away from me." Bella asked. Her thoughts shifted towards some unpleasant thoughts as she recalled Edward. He said they were mates and that he would never leave her nor be capable of leaving her. He lied.

"Correct. I wanted to run back to you after we left but my brothers kept stopping me. It was easier to stay away back then since our bond was incomplete. Now (Marcus pointed to their arms) it's complete and I could never stay away from you." Marcus said.

Bella processed his words. If their bond was complete with their skin touching then Edward wasn't her mate after all. He lied about that too. He knew the entire time and lied to her. Edward! The Cullen's!

"Did you kill them?" Bella said with pain in her voice letting go of Marcus. Jacob embraced her and took a step back with her. He didn't know what the problem was but Marcus was the logical conclusion for her sudden pain.

Marcus was hurt and wanted to know what happened.
"Who?"

"The Cullen's. Where are they?" Bella said with fear clawing at her throat. Did they die because of her?

"No my dear. They are in Volterra." Marcus said trying to calm her. It was clear killing them would turn her against him.

"Really?" Bella said as she calmed down.

"Yes. They must await trial and be punished for their crimes." Marcus said making it clear why he took them and why they were gone.

(Bella sobbed)
"No. It's my fault." Bella said as she broke out on tears. Pain ripped through her as she pictured them being executed.

Bella went limp in Jakes arms. She was the cause of so much pain.

"Bella baby its okay. It's not your fault." Jacob said as he tried to calm her down. "They made their own choices."

"It's not their fault. I figured out their secret. Please don't kill them." Bella begged through sobs. She wouldn't be responsible for their deaths.

Marcus wanted nothing more than to take her into his arms and give her whatever she wanted. He would release them at once if it would make her feel better.

"We know my dear, I read their minds remember?" Aro said stepping in to help.

"Then you know that I had my suspicions about him from the start." Bella said looking into Aros eyes trying to find an ally for her cause.

"Yes my dear. That is why they are still alive. We wanted you to choose their punishment since they hurt you by leaving and exposing you and your family to James, Laurent and Victoria." Aro said.

"Punishment?" Bella asked regaining her composure after hearing that they were still alive.

"They still broke the law and they need to be punished. Our laws must be enforced or any vampire will think that it is acceptable to break them. We won't execute them if that is what you wish but they must still be punished." Aro said. Caius was sad he wouldn't get to kill Carlisle but seeing his niece happy was what mattered more to him.

"Really? You won't kill them?" Bella asked Marcus, she knew he wouldn't lie to her.

"Of course not." Marcus said reassuringly touching her face. He relished in the fact that she calmed instantly when he did that.

"Thank you." Bella said relieved.

"If I may ask my dear, they hurt you so much by their actions. Why would you show them mercy?" Caius asked. He could feel the glare from his brothers but he ignored them.

"I don't want to be responsible for any more deaths." Bella said as she thought of Harry in particular. Jacob kissed her head knowing where her mind went.

"We have plenty of time to talk about that. For now I'd rather focus on any other questions you may have my dear." Marcus said changing the subject.

Bella looked at Marcus, yes she had many questions to ask.

It has been ages since I updated. Wow. Well hope this was enjoyable for all of you since it took me forever to write it. This convo is obviously not over so keep waiting for part two of this conversation.
