Hey, it's been a while.

As obvious as it looks, nothing in previous chapters of the story lines up with what happened in the series since I took a long break from this fandom, but I decided to continue it anyway seeing people are actually enjoying it. Better late than never.

Saturday evening:

Star's POV:

I woke to the sound of footsteps reaching the top of the stairs, rolling over to check the time on my phone, 6:15 PM. If that was Marco, he was either gone all day or just trying to let me sleep. Still being tired, I decided to shrug it off and get off my bed since it was around dinner time and I was hungry. Letting out a yawn, I opened the door and was face-to-face with Marco.

"Hey Star, my dad just finished making tacos and pizza nuggets. Are you going to join us for dinner?"

"Yeah, totally. I was just making my way down there." I smiled faintly at him"

"Great, budday!" He smiled, continuing to stand in front of the doorway as if he forgot how to move his legs.

Marco's POV:

I was looking at Star for what seemed like forever. She looked so beautiful after she just woke up. She always looked beautiful. Jackie was right, Star felt like more than just a friend to me these days, and I hope this party will win her over.

Star opened her mouth once more which finally discontinued my daydreaming. "Uh Marco, you're in my way. I want food."

"Oh right, my bad. Sorry about that." I gave her a faint chuckle and nervous smile, clearing her path and following her downstairs.

Star's POV:

I sensed Marco has been acting more strange than usual. We exchanged weird gazes from across the dinner table and I just couldn't wait for that moment to be over so I could properly breathe. Things have never been like this between us. I could effortlessy converse with Marco anytime about anything that was on my mind, and he would always give great advice that I wouldn't consider until after I've gotten myself into trouble. He filled my life with so much joy and taught me so many things I would've probably went a lifetime without knowing if I've never met him.

Marco Ubaldo Diaz changed my life.

...but of course I couldn't pour out feelings about Marco to Marco. I needed to talk to one of the girls and spill my guts.

I called Ponyhead since she lives and breathes for gossip.

"Hey girl! I just got my hair done and you should totally check it out 'cause it looks like really good, and like someone should look at it because i look so pretty like all the time."

I took a deep breath trying to absorb everything she said. I'd never admit this to anyone because Ponyhead is my best friend, but my head feels like it's spinning every time she opens her mouth. I don't think there's any living thing in this universe who can run it as fast as Ponyhead.

"Wow, that sounds really nice Pony, but I actually called because I got a little thing I needed to talk to you about."

The floating unicorn head's eyes lit up like Earth's sky on the night of a full moon. "Ooh girl spill! Are Lloyd and Crystal still together?"

Who?

"Uhh... huh? I don't know! I wanted to talk about Marco! He's acting weird."

"Star, he's always acting weird! He's Earth Turd! Ooh, I gotta go! I just realized I got this thing tonight so yeah, good luck with your Earth Turd problem 'cause it should like be over soon or whatever." The call was quickly disconnected.

I let out a sigh.

She didn't give me advice nor was I expecting any from the one and only typical self-centered Ponyhead.

"Ugh my brain hurts!" I threw a pillow over my face and screamed into it. "What is going onnn?!"

Well there you go! It's been like four years so sorry if it's bad or anything, I just felt like it finally needed an update.

To be continued...
