Disclaimer: The Twilight book series and all recognizable characters and situations belong to Stephanie Meyer I don't own any of that. But I do so love her stage.

A\N: Hunter Lightfoot is Adam's cousin who Leah met back in chapter 13. He is not a wolf.

Leah's Pov

I went to the front entrance where the door was standing open and almost dropped my breakfast. Elijah was down near the parking lot hugging a trim petite woman.

This girl had tons of bright red curls that cascaded down her back ending just below her butt.

She was wearing gray skinny jeans, paired with a peasant top embroidered with colorful folk patterns. Her black stilettos looked out of place for the rugged terrain.

They separated and stood close together facing each other. She reached up and pulled him down until their heads were quite close together. Then she started whispering to him.

He stepped back a little when she grabbed one of his hands and held it in both of hers. Meanwhile, he was absently rubbing her shoulder with his other hand.

They continued having an intense conversation. I swallowed a feeling of dismay creeping into my heart. It was obvious from their body language that they were quite comfortable with each other.

I stood in the doorway watching this scene unfold with increasing dismay. My wolf embracing another girl? My wolf letting her hold his hand and whisper intimately in his ear?

"Not again," I mumbled moving towards them without even realizing it.

Before I could even get out the door Seth's hand closed around my arm pulling me back into the room, "Whatever you are thinking Leah stop it."

I yanked at my arm but he held on, "Let go of me Seth."

He sighed, "Look, I'm trying to keep you from embarrassing yourself by making a scene."

I raised my eyebrows, "Oh really? And why should I be embarrassed? If anyone should be ashamed of themselves it's him!"

Seth was alternating between watching my expression and them. He said, "Leah they're just talking."

"Even you don't believe that!," I huffed daring him to deny it.

Seth glanced at them and back at me, "If you asked me I would say they're commiserating. They're not doing anything wrong."

"I doubt it. It's amazing what you can learn about a person when they don't know you're watching. He has no idea that I saw any of this," I replied.

"Come on Leah! you shouldn't be jumping to conclusion...," He broke off watching Elijah and the girl.

She kissed his forehead before they broke apart and walked towards a silver SUV.

She was walking close enough for him to easily reach over and snatch something out of her back pocket. She didn't notice and kept walking to the car.

He called out, "Leunta" and dramatically jumped backwards so he was behind her.

She looked back over her shoulder and Seth gasped, "She's stunning."

"She's really young," I said at the same time. I would describe her as a classic beauty with perfectly symmetrical features and large expressive eyes.

She was glamorous in a sultry way, kinda like she just stepped off the set of a vintage Hollywood film.

Elijah playfully waved some keys in the air and took off for a lope around the parking lot. The girl shrieked and started chasing him kicking off her heels.

He let her race after him a bit before he returned to the SUV and tossed her the keys.

She paused to catch her breath before she looked around and picked up her shoes. She hopped around putting them on and walked over to the vehicle. Elijah opened the door for her, but grabbed her in a bear hug while she was half sitting inside.

I said, "I've seen enough" and tried to walk around Seth.

He reached back and grabbed the door slamming it shut and physically blocking it with his body.

I rolled my eyes, "Really Seth? Really?"

He shrugged, "You're overreacting."

I raised my eyebrow, "Am I?"

Seth shrugged again unconcerned,"He's not Sam Leah. Korzka would never sneak around behind your back."

I was getting annoyed, "Why do you always take his side? I'm your sister!"

"I'm on your side! I'm your brother!" He bellowed right back at me.

"Well you have a great way of showing it," I grouched. Then I felt bad for saying that to him.

He shook his head at me, "I know you don't mean that. Anyway, they're just talking and goofing around. You know how touchy-feely this culture is."

I sighed deeply, "Okay, look I appreciate what you're trying to do. But, I need to handle this my own way. Trust me those two are very close."

"Friends can have close relationships," he replied stubbornly.

I sighed, "Don't you think she's a little young to be great friends with him? What could they possibly have in common?"

Obviously that never occurred to him. "Okay, but what if you're wrong?"he asked.

I deliberately took a deep breath, "Elijah still needs to know that I don't appreciate him holding hands with and embracing other women."

"Fine just don't start a fight with him okay?" he asked begrudgingly.

"I can't promise that," I mumbled.

Seth reached behind him and opened the door. I noticed the area was filling up with with wolves milling around or clustered in small groups. Elijah and Luenta were nowhere to be seen.

Seth said, "Leah if this doesn't end well."

I braced myself expecting him to say something like I'd been warned. But my little brother surprised me.

He finished up by saying, "I'll be here to help you pick up the pieces."

I felt like crying when I saw the sincerity reflected in his eyes, "Thank you Seth.'

As soon as I was out in the open, conversations began to die down as wolves turned to stare at me.

The expressions on some of their faces were comical like they doubted I was really there. But when I tried to make eye contact, every single wolf lowered his eyes and went back to whatever he was doing.

They mostly seemed curious, except one group who were hanging out under a tree with a dog. Their clothes and hairstyles reminded me of 1960's Hippies.

The youngest looking wolf wearing a Tye-dyed shirt, spotted me first and gasped, "Is that a she-wolf?"

"Stanley everyone knows the she-wolves are a myth," the one standing next to him scoffed. His mouth fell open, "okay maybe not."

I was almost abreast of them and tempted to ask if they had any other friends to call to come and gawk at me. But they looked so harmless that I decided not to.

The unusually tall one who had to be their alpha turned to follow their eyes. He stiffened, "Don't stare!"

His pack started looking at him confused, "What, What?"

He immediately dropped his eyes, "She's got the Black Guard tailing her. I heard a rumor that The Alpha Rex has imprinted on one of us."

The teenage one kept openly staring at me with wide eyes, "Wow"

I sensed he had recently started phasing and didn't have full control of his wolf yet.

I winked at him before I started really looking around. Several members of the Black Guard were scattered among the trees watching everything. They stood out in their attire, but I hadn't been paying attention.

Delta Allen was about ten feet behind me dressed in black trousers paired with a matching polo shirt. I should have realized I'd have guards on me.

I put my hands on my hips, "Why didn't you say hello?"

He smiled catching up with me, "Good morning Dr. Clearwater. You were so preoccupied that I didn't want to disturb you."

"How did you know I was even out here?" I asked suspiciously.

He put his hands up as if to apologize, "Well I overheard some of your quarrel with Delta Clearwater."

I lowered my voice, "You heard that?"

He nodded sheepishly and offered me his arm, "Korzka should be at headquarters by now. May I escort you over there?"

We walked in silence for a few minutes before he said, "Leah you are Korzk's imprint he's lost all interest in other women. You know this right? I mean you don't want other men do you?."

I said, "No but we can still care for someone. Sam acted all territorial towards me even after he imprinted on Emily."

Delta Allen said, "I think that says more about his ego than anything else. Alpha Uley gives me the impression that he loves to feel important."

I shrugged, "I guess."

He stopped and made eye contact with me, "Let me say it this way, there is no way in hell Korzka wants anyone other than you."

I said, "I won't put up him letting women touch him like that Henry."

He shook his head at me, "There's touching, and then there's touching!"

I didn't want to argue with him so I changed the subject, "How is you day going?"

He smirked at me, "Very well."

After that we engaged in small talk until we approached a worn path that lead to a large fenced in area. An elaborate stone building surrounded by several smaller out buildings was nestled in the trees.

Elijah's standard flew on a flagpole near the wide open entrance gates. The Lucacinian flag flew on the opposite side.

Delta Allen nodded to the two sentries who were actively patrolling. I caught glances of several wolves among the trees.

I followed Delta Allen up the rock path onto the veranda. A single guard dressed in a military uniform opened the front door for us.

I walked into small foyer leading to a control room. The back wall was covered in multiple Monitors overlapping to create a video wall.

Some displayed colorful graphs or numbers while others were surveillance type videos of different wolf packs.

The floor was amazing. At first I thought it was some type of painting; but then I realized it was a real time satellite feed of the surrounding mountains. I could see treetops, streams, rivers, and the forest floor dotted with wolf packs for miles around.

Video boxes zoomed in on some of the packs enlarging them for easier tracking.

I noticed several packs resting in close proximity to some real wolf packs. I had never seen anything like it.

Delta Allen noticed my reaction and said, "Some of our military packs raise and train wolves like police dogs. They come in handy when we need to hunt vampires in highly populated areas.

It doesn't account for our size. However, if people have been spotted with wolf-hybrids, it tends to explain accidental sightings of us."

I said, "That's really clever People see what they want to see."

Several command counsels were grouped on a U-shaped workstation being manned by soldiers wearing headphones. I recognized one of them as Hunter Lightfoot.

He stood up removing his headphones, "Good morning Delta Allen, Dr. Clearwater welcome!"

Delta Allen shook his hand, "Good morning. Whenever Dr. Clearwater here wants to leave, Delta Littlesea is available to escort her. Meanwhile I will leave her in your care."

"Where are you going?" I asked him.

"Delta Allen looked at me worry etched on his face, "I was going to brief your extended team over breakfast, but I can have them come here if you need me to."

"What extended team?" I asked.

He said, "I have extra men serving on your detail for this event. Once we leave the base we're running all the way to Stone Mountain. It's a huge area and a security nightmare. Fortunately, our security teams rank among the best in the world."

I shook my head, "Nope carry on."

Hunter Lightfoot said, "You're here to see the Rex? Lt Daluca here will escort you up. Oh and it was really good seeing you again."

Once we left the control room area the building seemed much older. Lt. Daluca led me through a corridor into a large room with winding staircases on each side.

We went upstairs and down two more corridors. Finally he led me under an archway into a receiving room with huge windows and antique benches lining the walls.

A pair of heavy oak dark door exquisitely carved with Elijah's crest dominated the back wall.

Two of the Black Guards standing on either side of the doors opened them for us.

"This way," Lt. Daluca walked through a small entryway into an old fashion smoking room occupied by at least a dozen alpha's.

I could see that many of them started watching me curiously. I noticed Beta Alexe in a different room through an open doorway. I remember thinking that if he's in there Elijah is sure to be nearby.

I sashayed over to him acutely aware of all the alpha pheromones in the air.

He greeted me warmly and ushered me into the room, after dismissing Lt Daluca with a thank you.

I immediately knew this was a much older part of the building. The room was perfectly round with graceful pillars reaching up to a lighted dome ceiling. A large ornate fireplace was the centerpiece of the room.

There was an antique cherry-wood desk with matching bookcases lining the walls. Winged back chairs placed into seating arrangements were strategically placed around the large room.

This place reminded me of the roped off rooms in historical buildings during a tour.

All of Elijah's personal detail were here along with some new alphas. I noticed several of these guys resembled him. They had to be his relatives.

Once again alpha vibes were strong in the air. I wondered how so many alpha's could co-exist in one place without it feeling overwhelming.

Elijah was talking to a distinguished older wolf with gray hair. He looked up and paused breaking off his conversation. I was caught in the intensity of his eyes.

Captivated I stared at him thinking I was playing a very dangerous game. Oh well, the imprint magic paired me with the king of all wolves, so be it.

I boldly walked across the room returning greetings from the wolves as I went. I came to a complete stop in front of Elijah, "Good morning."

He smiled at me and reached out to raise my hand to his lips for a kiss, "Good Morning Leah."

He introduced me to the others as his Jumate de Soli. I was right most of them were his relatives, but there were a couple other guys. The gray haired wolf was his uncle Chase Hemming the artist.

I didn't care that Elijah's the Alpha Rex, I refused to accept anything less than fidelity and honest from him.

I was still angry at him for lying to me. If we were going to make it as a couple, my wolf would have to change.

I stared into his eyes and said, "Strip."

I'm not sure how I thought he would react, but for the second time that morning I was surprised. Elijah's face lit up and he beamed at me.

I blinked, "What?"

He grinned, "I take it that means you're leading the run with me?" He didn't give me time to respond before he continued, "It's a little early but I'd be happy to phase and show you around first."

The wolves standing around us were also beaming with approval.

I'm not sure what drove me at that point, but I was determined to follow through with my plans.

I boldly put two fingers on his lips shutting him up, "No I don't want you to phase. I need just you to strip."

There was a shocked silence as everyone including Elijah gaped at me.

His eyes seemed to change, deepening into a more vivid shade of green, "Are you sure Leah?"

His voice so soft it was almost a whisper.

for a moment I was tempted to change my plans. But then I remembered why I was doing this. He needed to learn.

"Yes," I mouthed the word instead of saying it.

A long moment passed before he released a shuddering breath, "Okay."

He unbuttoned his shirt and reached back to pull it over his head, revealing impossibly defined muscles. His brawny arms covered with the most intricate tattoos I have ever seen, flexed when he folded the shirt in half and laid it aside.

His chest lightly dusted with hair framed an impressive eight pack. Abs like this are common enough among shape-shifters. The difference is Elijah's are mouth-wateringly sculpted.

"Leah," He said quietly urging me to watch his hands with a tilt of his head.

He slowly undid his belt and zipper pulling open the top of his trousers to reveal black boxer briefs.

He sensuously stuck his thumbs into his waistband, but then he froze like he had forgotten we weren't alone.

He wasn't the least bit embarrassed when he looked around and said, "All of you are dismissed. You may go."

Beta Alexe cleared his throat, "But what about.."

Elijah cut him off, "Never mind that Eugene. You handle it."

Beta Alexe turned towards the others and mimicked Elijah, but he tilted his head at the door. He started to follow them but paused when Elijah stopped him.

Elijah said, "Eugene clear the next room...in fact clear this whole area."

Most of the wolves threw us amused or knowing glances before they headed to the door. I half expected Elijah to scold them, but he just stood there with one side of his mouth quirking up.

Finally, his uncle Chase said, "Alright enough of that. It's not like at least half of you haven't been likewise engaged in the last 24 hours."

I tried not to laugh as the wolves almost tripped over each other racing to the exit. I could hear a slight commotion as Beta Alexe began to clear the smoking room.

Chase Hemming was the last one out and he closed the door behind them with a decisive click.

I waited a minuet or so to gather my thoughts before I turned back to Elijah. What I saw stole my breath away. His eyes were half-hooded as he watched me look my fill. I swallowed suppressing a sudden urge to plant kisses on every one of his pulse points. Did I mention that While I was fully dressed, he'd stripped totally naked?!

A\N: Hum what's Leah is really up to? This is Leah we're talking about. We all know she doesn't forgive that easily. Elijah is in for a surprise.

Just for the record Leah and Elijah's relationship is not one sided. Trust me Elijah needs his Leah just as much as she needs him.

One other thing, I don't plan to write graphic lemons because I want to keep this story rated teen. However, I do plan to write scorching hot lemonade.
