Chapter 19 Sky Battle: Part I

The first of the guardians to have arrived at the school would be Gokudera, Yamamoto and Ryohei, the three rushing to the school gates when they saw the flash of light from within. When they arrived at the courtyard, they were greeted by a huge lumps of smoke with in the middle, there stood Xanxus with the same smugly smile on his face.

"Our opponent looks ready too." At that moment, their boss, the young brunette girl arrived with her tutor next to her, Tsuna's eyes now loomed in and focussed on Xanxus.

"Xanxus."

"So you came, you trash."

"We have been expecting you." The Cervello greeted as they landed in front of them, "Then, for the Guardians for Sawada's side… Storm, Rain, Sun, and the Mist Guardians are all here."

They then saw Chrome arriving with her bag with her.

"The only ones left are the Cloud, Lightning and Knight."

"Eh…? The ones left…?"

What they did not expect is for the skylark to arrive at the school, "What do you want?" He asked.

"Eh…? What do I want…?" Tsuna blinked.

"He's together with us, right?" Basil asked.

"The Cervello said that the Guardians had to come." Chrome explained.

"That's right, all the Guardians and Knights who are still alive were sent a compulsory summons." The Cervello explained.

"Compulsory summons?"

"Those guys are here too." Reborn stated. Tsuna then notices what he meant as the Varia's Guardians who are still alive arrived, including Mammon who was captured sometime during the Knight Battle as well as the once thought dead Sun Varia Guardian, the man with a flamboyant green hair combed to his right and brown shaved hair on his left with sunglasses named Lussuria along with his medical bed. Of course, Dracul too have arrived as well, his eyes closed with his ignorance towards Tsuna's side.

"Looks like the Lightning Guardian for Sawada's side has also arrived."

That shocks the brunette, as she saw the cow boy, Lambo unconscious in one of the Cervello's arm with an oxygen supply around his mouth for him to breath more easily, "W-Why Lambo too?-!" She cried, "He's just started to come out of his coma!-!"

"The compulsory summons does not take anything else into account." They explained, "Because in the Sky Battle, the seven rings as well as the lives of the six Guardians and Knight are all at stake."

"The rings… and the lives of the Guardians are at stake…?" Tsuna muttered in shock, before realising, "Wait, where's Motoyama-san?-! Why isn't he here yet?-!"

"He is on his way." The Cervello stated, "One of ours was sent to fetch him."

"Ushishishi, maybe he ran away half way." Bel said, "A fake boss and her own fake Knight."

"Sorry, but that wasn't the case."

A familiar voice was heard to them, at the gate there stood Korin as he walked in dragging two Varia personnel with him in his hands, "During my walk here, these idiots ambushed and killed off my escort." He stated as he throws them in front of them, "It took a while before I found the proper route."

"Motoyama-san!" Tsuna cried happily, "You're alright!"

"I'm not to die like that." Korin said as he walked up to them, "Sorry I'm late."

"Tch, for a Knight to be late in the summoning," Gokudera said angrily.

"Maa ma, the main thing is he made it in the end." Yamamoto said.

Korin turned to Dracul, who clicked his tongue in annoyance, 'I see…' "Cervello, I just want to confirm with you." He stated, "This battle, it is a battle that involves all the Guardians and Knight, right?"

"That's right. It is a battle that stakes the lives of the Guardians and the Knight as well as the Sky Ring."

"W-Wait!" Tsuna cried, "What do you mean by that?-! Lambo is already injured! Give him back!"

"Stand down, please." The Cervello stated, "The Varia are in the same boat."

"Yeah! Quit complaining!" Lussuria shouted, "Once the summons were received, no matter what condition we're in, we have to assemble. That's the duty of a Guardian!"

"Exactly." Mammon added, "I'm also hoping that Xanxus-sama's anger has appeased, and I'd have a chance to help him."

"Ushishishi, how nicely put." Bel snickered, "We only caught you instead of killing you, so don't be smooth talking here."

"Mu!"

"Shut up, Bel!"

"What about Squalo?-!" Yamamoto cried, "Isn't he here?-!"

"You know very well what the outcome of the Rain Battle was. We are unable to verify Squalo's current status."

"…"

"There is no point in thinking about it." Korin tells him.

"Well then, let's begin the Sky Battle."

"W-Wait a minute!" Tsuna cried, "We haven't clarified-"

"If you don't want to start, you'll be disqualified. And Xanxus-sama will officially be given the possession of the rings."

"Guh!"

"Bitch." Gokudera growled.

"All right, firstly, we will collect all the Guardians' Rings."

"What?-!" Ryohei cried, "After we fought all out to get this ring, we have to give it back?-!"

"If you are the true Guardian, there's nothing to worry about." They tell him, "In the end, the Vongola Rings will return to their true owner anyway."

Confused by their words, they have little to no choice but to surrender their rings to the Cervello. Now, all the rings, including the Knight and the Cloud, have been accounted for. "Now, let us explain the rules of the Sky Battle. The Sky Battle will be similar to the other Guardians' battles."

"One condition for victory is to join the two halves of the ring. But the battlefield will be the entire school."

"That's huge…" Yamamoto muttered.

"In order to watch such a wide battlefield, we have installed large screen displays at the observation box as well as various other locations. Also, the guardians will be using," They show them small metallic watches that looks like something from a sci-fi show, "these wristbands installed with a camera-equipped monitor."

"I see, it's like a little TV." Ryohei stated.

"Haha, hey Tsuna, it's your close-up." Yamamoto laughed.

"They really think of everything." Korin stated.

"So then, would all the guardians please put on your wristbands, then make your way to the respective fields of your own battles."

"Huh? Our battlefield?" Levi asked, "What's the point of that?"

"We are not entertaining any questions. If you do not follow the rules, you will be disqualified."

"Damn annoying bitches." Gokudera growled.

"So, we're not just watching the fight, eh? Sounds like fun." Bel chuckled.

"Wait, then where would Hibari Kyouya go?" Korin asked.

"He will be placed at the Knight's Battlefield."

"What?-!" Tsuna cried, 'If it's like that, Hibari-san would definitely goes on a rampage against Motoyama-san!-!'

'I better make sure he doesn't go wild, huh…?' Korin thought as he looked over at Hibari, who definitely glanced over to him with a predatory look.

"Okay, then this is the only time we can do it then." Ryohei said.

"Eh?" Tsuna blinked confused.

"Our circle rally, right?" Yamamoto chuckled.

"Let's get all fired up!-!" Gokudera cheered.

"Ah! Y-Yeah, let's do it." The brunette nodded.

"Aren't you against the whole thing from the beginning?" Korin asked.

"You guys can just stay where you are, okay?" Ryohei tells the other who aren't going to be in the circle, "We've revised it with the 10 meter-rule so you guys are in too!"

"Eh?"

"10 meter rule?" Tsuna asked.

"That's a limit rule that anyone within a 10 meter radius is included in the circle rally, it is an EXTREME rule!"

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?-!" Gokudera cried.

"All right then, let's do it!" Yamamoto said as the four of them rounded up together.

"Sawada, FIGHT!"

"OH!-!-!-!"

Korin sighed, 'those guys sure don't know the seriousness of this situation… their own lives at stake here…' He looked over to the guardians as they say their farewells to Tsunahime before leaving to their respective fields, 'But… for them to place that much hope on that girl… she truly radiates a charisma of a leader, even if she doesn't act like it… I wonder, how far would she be able to reach with that unknown charisma of hers…?'

As he saw Hibari starting to leave for the Knight Field, he decides it's time for him to go.

"Motoyama-san!"

Korin was stopped when he heard the brunette called his name. Turning to face her, he was met with her both hands stretched out to him with a small blue charm on them, on it stitched a sword with the kanji [Health] and [Safety] written on the top and bottom of it, "This is…?"

"A-A safety charm!" She blurted out, "K-Kyoko-chan taught me how to make this…"

'So she was worried about me…' Korin thought, before inwardly smiled, 'She is one unique boss…' He accepted the charm, "Thank you, Tsunahime." He said, unknown that a real smile has appeared on his face, causing the brunette to blush countless shade of red, "I'll be leaving." He walked off towards the field, waving his hand back at her.

Tsuna blinked in surprise, seeing Korin did something she never thought he would do.

"It is finally time, kora!"

She then heard the perverted doctor greeted the girl with the other two Arcobaleno', "I'm here to collect the ashes." Shamal tells them. "I'm just here to jeer." Colonello stated.

'So mean!-!' She cried.

"Now, now, don't too harsh to the girl." Fon said.

After a while later, all the guardians has arrived at their destinations, Hibari being with the Knights. The skylark already showing signs of his restrain on attacking Korin right then breaking, the teen ignoring that and was far more concerned with the black metal pole that towers over them within the field of swords. The same can be said to the other battlefields.

"What is this pole?" Ryohei asked.

"We've set up a pole at each of the battle fields." The Cervello explained, "The top of each pole contains the ring of the same type."

"The Ring…? Don't tell me we're scrambling for them again?" Gokudera asked.

"In other words, we'll be fighting too?" Bel chuckled, his hands on his knives ready.

"You are all free to do so. If you can that is."

That caught Korin's attention, before he felt a sharp pain on his wrist like a needle was inserted into his skin. The next thing he know he was on the floor panting, his body burning up as if on fire.

"W-What was that?-!" Tsuna cried.

"Just then, all the Guardians were injected with a poison administrated from their wristbands."

"What did you say?-!" Shamal cried.

"The poison is called Death Hitter." They explained further, "Once administrated, it will paralyse the victim nerves instantly. Even standing up will prove difficult. Then, a burning pain will spread throughout the body increasing gradually, until 30 minutes later, the victim will die."

"N-No way!-!" Basil cried.

"W-What is the meaning of this?-!-!" Tsuna cried, "It supposed to be the Sky Battle, right?-! So why is everyone involved like this?-!"

"It is because it is the Sky Battle."

"Eh?-!"

"Sun, Lightning, Storm, Rain, Mist, Cloud, he influences all of them with his Knight by his side; he understands and accepts all of them, that is the Sky's mission. In this battle, the lives of all the Guardians are entrusted into the hands of the boss. That is the Sky Battle."

"Entrusted, you say… but, this is too much!" Tsuna cried.

"There is only one way to stop the progression of the poison. That is to insert the matching ring into each Guardian's wristbands."

"Eh?"

"Once the ring is inserted into the indention, it will activate a mechanism to administer the antidote stored in the wristband."

"So this battle is not only for the Sky Ring, but the other Guardians' rings have become a crucial point as well." Reborn said.

"Exactly. Therefore, the condition for victory in the Sky Battle is simply this:"

"You must acquire ALL of the Vongola Rings."

The Cervello issued both participants with chains to place the Vongola Rings in, the brunette needlessly accepted with the lives of her friends now lies on her shoulders, "All right, I get it, let's hurry!" She cried, "Otherwise, everyone will…"

"Very well, one last thing." They tells her, "Once the battle has started, any outside interference from non-participant personnel is forbidden. That includes special bullets."

"Understood." Reborn nodded.

At that moment, Xanxus launched forward and lands a sucker to her face, sending the brunette crushing into the concrete building.

"Sawada-dono!" Basil cried.

"Xanxus-sama! The match hasn't started yet!" The Cervello cried.

"Let's hurry and get started, wasn't that what she said?" Xanxus smirked.

"That was a foul move, Xanxus!" Basil cried.

"My bad. Did I get him before he was shot with his special bullet?"

"How foolish." Reborn chuckled, his signature pistol already out and smoking, "Who do you think you're dealing with?"

From with the rubble out bursts out Tsunahime, getting out of the pile of debris, "Tsuna, Xanxus is not someone you can fight half-heartedly. If you're thinking about saving your Guardians first, you'll lose your life. First-

"I understand." Tsuna said, the orange dying will flame bursts into existence on her forehead, "I'm going to put this guy away first."

"You're going to put me away?" Xanxus smirked, "With that level power you display last night?"

"Did I look the same as I did last night?"

Xanxus flinched a little, "If you wish to observe, please come this way!" The Cervello shouted, "Please hurry! Keep in mind that that it is the same as the Guardian matches, with infrared sensors to prevent you from leaving."

"You two as well."

"Keh! Busted…" Ken and Chikusa who were hiding behind the corner muttered.

"Now, without further ado:"

"The Sky Battle; Xanxus VS Sawada Tsunahime, Battle Start!"

Okay, this is a fast one, huh…? Well, main reason
being that I have a small writer's block on how
do I write this fight based on Tsuna and Korin's
POV. It will take while… Sorry.

Well, I can safely say that not one get the idea
of the Light and Dark path that I put up so I decide
to make it simpler for you.

Light: Korin will focus on his magic and Knight flames, invoking the skills necessary for it, while retaining his humanity for most of the Future Arc while his character alignment being one of Neutral Good for the rest of the story
Dark: Korin will focus on wielding the powers of the Joteijuu by Hiryuu, where his own ideals are placed in question, he becoming half-demon for the entire story with a character alignment of Chaotic Good

But I let you know that despite which path he
embarks first, he will learn skills from both
sides of the spectrum. Only difference is that
which power would he specialises in.

P.S. for those I have PMed, I like to apologised
for the difference in what I wrote to you, since
that time I have little to what should I decide
on the paths.

Also, it looks like the harem is still in question,
with my mind coming up with various ideas. If
there is any characters from both series you want
to add into the harem, let me know in the
reviews~!
