AN: Wow. Seriously, it was just the prologue and I've already gained quite a few favorites and followers.

I'm quite surprised.

Now let's see how you react to this chapter.

We are in the Southern Water Tribe, where Korra lived.

Sometime after it was discovered that she was the Avatar, she was taken to the complex of the White Lotus, a group dedicated to the Avatar, to train in the control of the four elements. Years later when she was 17, she had fully mastered waterbending, earthbending and firebending.

However, she hadn't yet begun to train the airbending.

The reason for this was that, at the start of the 100 Years War, the current Fire Lord, Sozin, knew that the Avatar (Aang), the only person who could stop his plans, would be born among the airbenders, so he sent troops to eliminate them all, leaving Aang, who managed to escape the massacre, as the last airbender.

Fortunately, he had children and one of them became an airbender and he was supposed to train Korra in airbending, but he was always busy, as he served as a member of the Republic City council.

Now, we see Korra, in battle armor, launch a pair of fireballs from her kicks towards a firebender who tried to protect himself by putting his arms in front of him, but ended up knocked down.

Two other firebenders, who were behind Korra, jointly launched a flare at her, engulfing her in fire, but with a circular swing of her arms, Korra dispelled the flames before positioning herself to fight.

One of the firebenders launched a fireball from his fist at her, but she dodged to the side before undoing an incoming fireball with her fist and then dodging another.

Korra charged at the firebender as he did the same and the other firebender moved to the side.

The firebender heading for Korra leapt into the air to launch a wave of fire and a fireball from his foot, but Korra dove down and with her hands flat on the ground, slammed her foot into the firebender's, causing him to stumble and fall to the ground.

Korra got up in time to see the other firebender throw a fireball at her, but she deflected it with her hands as she turned her head slightly to kick the previous firebender who tried to attack her from behind.

She then undid another fireball before launching a pair of fireballs from her fists that knocked down the firebender in front of her.

The one behind threw another pair of fireballs at her, but Korra deflected the first with a mid-jump kick and the second with her arm before throwing a fireball and then quickly turned to deflect a fireball with a side kick before putting her arms up protectively to defend against another fire attack.

With a deep breath, she thrust her arms forward to launch a powerful blast of fire that knocked the firebender to the roof of the area where the White Lotus members were watching the fight.

"She's strong." said Katara, one of the former Team Avatar members and Aang's wife.

"But she lacks restraint." said the leader of the White Lotus.

The last firebender steadily formed a giant fireball with his arm outstretched like a flamethrower as he ran towards Korra who in turn ran towards the firebender with a smile of excitement.

With her arms outstretched, Korra stepped into the fireball and blew it apart like smoke before approaching the firebender, much to his surprise.

She then leapt into the air, using the firebender as a springboard, somersaulted in the air and threw a fireball at him with a kick and then, bringing both fists together, with a small space between them, she launched a powerful blast of fire, knocking down the last firebender.

"Woohoo!" exclaimed Korra excitedly at her victory before approaching where the White Lotus members were standing. "Hey, why all the doom and gloom, people? We should be celebrating! Three elements down, one to go!"

"You're getting ahead of yourself as usual, Korra. We haven't decided if you passed your firebending test yet." said the White Lotus member who was a firebender.

"Ever since you were a little girl, you've excelled at the physical side of bending, but completely ignored the spiritual side. The Avatar must master both." said the White Lotus leader.

"I haven't ignored it, it just doesn't come as easy to me. But that's why I should start training with Tenzin immediately. He's Mister Spiritual." said Korra.

"Do you believe she's ready, Master Katara?" asked the White Lotus leader.

"Yes. If anyone can teach her what she needs to learn, it's Tenzin." said Katara.

"Very well, Korra. It's time for you to begin your airbending training." said the White Lotus leader, much to the Avatar's delight.

"Yes!" exclaimed Korra before jumping up as she did a flip in the air. "Finally!" said Korra before noticing the people present. " I mean, *Crackles* thank you all for believing in me." said Korra politely before walking away with a smile.

When she got far enough away, she ran off with a big smile on her face.

Korra, in her typical attire, arrived at the stables where a good friend of hers was standing.

"Naga, you should have seen it! I kicked some firebender butt, and I passed!" said Korra hugging the polar bear dog's head and petting her. "Tenzin will be here in a few days." said Korra as she got licks on her animal friend's face, much to her amusement.

Later, Korra, wearing a typical Water Tribe coat, was on Naga's back heading for the gates of the complex of the White Lotus.

"Just taking Naga out for a stroll." said Korra to the sentry at the gates who was looking at her with doubt as to whether or not to do so, which caused Korra to look at him with annoyance. "Don't worry, we're not going far."

Shrugging, the sentry opened the gates, allowing Korra a view of the frozen tundra of the South Pole.

From the distance, a pair of White Lotus guards watched Naga begin to run across the field with Korra on top of her.

"Naga, go! That a girl. Go! Go! Go!" said Korra causing Naga to pick up speed as she looked ahead with joy and determination.

Soon after, the two were standing on a hill overlooking the ocean, but, despite the beautiful view, Korra couldn't help but feel excited that she was finally going to receive the training she had left to be a full Avatar.

Ever since she was a child and learned that she was the Avatar, she always wished she could exercise the duty that came with such a responsibility, that of protecting the balance of the world, just as Aang, the previous Avatar and many others before her, did.

It was then that Naga began to feel something and turned her head to the side, which Korra noticed.

"What is it, Naga?" asked Korra curiously.

Suddenly, an explosion of light happened in the distance before disappearing.

"What was that?" asked Korra with much more curiosity before hopping onto Naga's back. "Come on, Naga. Let's find out what's going on." said Korra before Naga proceeded to run towards where the explosion of light happened.

A while later, the two arrived at the place where the explosion of light happened.

Korra began to look around in search of what caused it when she suddenly noticed something on the ground.

She didn't know what it was, but when she squinted to see more clearly, she was horrified to see that it was a human body.

She got off Naga and quickly ran over to the body to see that it was a boy a little younger than her with green hair.

Korra was confused, as she couldn't guess what elemental tribe the boy was from.

Naga approached the boy and sniffed him a bit before licking him a couple of times, getting him to let out a few moans as he shivered from the cold.

"He's cold. We need to get him to the complex right away." said Korra grabbing the boy and placing him on Naga's back carefully before she climbed up and pulled on the reins to get the polar bear dog running quickly back to the complex of the White Lotus.

As they made their way there, Korra turned her head to look at the boy.

She didn't know who he was or where he came from, but she could sense that there was something more to this boy than he appeared, something... different.

All she could do now was take him to the complex and let Katara heal him, though it made her worry about a certain issue.

"Wait, how am I going to explain this?" asked Korra worriedly, thinking about how the White Lotus elders would react to that.

Sometime later, Korra returned to the complex and needless to say, the White Lotus elders were surprised when they saw her arrive with an unconscious boy.

Korra asked them for help and, luckily for her, Katara offered to cure him despite the warnings of the other elders.

Korra and Katara took the boy to a hut full of small pools filled with water where they put Izuku in one of them.

After that, Katara proceeded to move her arms in a circular motion, making the water in the pool glow, intending to use her healing abilities to treat the boy.

Meanwhile, Korra was having a not pleasant chat with the other elders.

"Do you realize what you've done, Korra? You've brought an outsider into the complex!" said the White Lotus leader.

"Hey! He was unconscious in the snow! I couldn't just leave him there!" said Korra feeling annoyed that she was being scolded for doing something good.

"And you didn't wonder what he was doing there? Or where he's even from?" asked an elderly White Lotus woman.

"Oh, I would have, but alas, I was busy saving him!" said Korra.

"Everyone, please calm down." said Katara in a calm manner, bringing the discussion to an end as they turned their attention to her. "None of that matters right now. We should be focused on the welfare of that young boy right now." said Katara as she continued the healing process.

The elders saw at once that she was right.

All those questions would only be answered the moment the boy woke up, so now, they could only wait for him to recover.

Korra approached Katara to get a closer look at the boy.

"Is he going to be okay?" asked Korra with slight concern.

"Yes, he just needs some rest, but what worries me most is his arm." said Katara directing her gaze to the boy's scarred arm.

"Do you think they were because of some firebender?" asked Korra.

"No. Those scars weren't caused from the outside, but from the inside." said Katara.

That made Korra's eyes widen in surprise.

She couldn't imagine the kind of damage that could cause such scars. She began to wonder what had happened to the boy to have them like that.

"And not only that. While I was healing him, I could feel something inside him." said Katara.

"You mean it's a bender?" asked the White Lotus leader.

"No. He feels... different from us." said Katara to the further confusion of those present.

"Where could he have come from?" asked the White Lotus elder.

"He could come from the Earth Kingdom, but his hair color is too unusual, not to mention his clothes." said a White Lotus elder.

While they were talking, inside the boy's mind something strange was happening.

Izuku found himself in a black, empty space, with no one but himself.

He tried to scream, but nothing came out of his mouth, as if he had lost his voice.

Before he could panic, suddenly, 7 black humanoid figures appeared in front of him, all with a different colored aura surrounding them.

Izuku didn't know who those figures were, until, upon seeing them a little more, he realized who they really were, which left him wide-eyed.

The figure in the center reached out his hand towards him as if to grab him.

Izuku stretched out his arm to grab his hand, but before he could reach for it...

Suddenly, Izuku's eyes shot open before gasping for air as he sat up quickly, taking the others by surprise.

After taking a couple of breaths to calm himself, Izuku began to take in his surroundings.

He was in a pool of water, in a wooden hut and that there were people beside him, all in blue and white attire.

The White Lotus quickly went into a fighting stance, still believing that this might be a threat.

"Wait, no!" exclaimed Korra stretching out her arm to stop them from making any sudden moves.

After that, Korra calmly approached the green-haired boy before crouching down.

"It's okay. Take it easy. We're not going to hurt you." said Korra calmly with the intention of not upsetting him.

"W-Where am I? What happened?" asked Izuku.

"You're at the complex of the White Lotus. I found you lying in the snow and brought you here to be healed." said Korra, receiving harsh looks from the elders for revealing important information to a stranger, but she didn't care about that.

Complex of the White Lotus? He'd never heard of that place before. Could it be some sort of training base located somewhere snowy?

"W-Well, thanks for saving me. I owe you one." said Izuku with a smile.

"You're welcome." replied Korra with a smile. "Can you stand up?" asked Korra extending her arm to him.

"Yes." said Izuku before grabbing the Avatar's hand, who helped him up and out of the pool.

"I'm Korra, what's your name?" asked Korra.

"Izuku. Izuku Midoriya." said Izuku.

Before they could continue talking amicably, the White Lotus elders approached them.

Korra stood protectively beside Izuku, who looked flustered by the elders' serious looks.

"Very well, boy. Answer. Where exactly do you come from?" asked the White Lotus leader.

"I-I come from Musutafu City, Japan." said Izuku nervously.

"Japan? I've never heard of such a place. Is it some new town in the Earth Kingdom?" asked a White Lotus elder.

Earth Kingdom? What kind of place is that? He may not have been an expert in world geography, but he never heard of a place like that. And how come they don't know about Japan, the country where the world's greatest heroes, including All Might, live?

It was then that he remembered what happened before he woke up in that place.

The invention of Mei.

According to her, it was a teleporter that would allow you to go anywhere, but suddenly, it had a glitch and turned into a vortex that ended up sucking him in.

At first he thought he had ended up somewhere in the world, but those people, for some reason, could speak his language and understand him perfectly, and none of them seemed to be Japanese.

There was only one logical explanation for all this that he could come up with.

Isekai.

A phenomenon he had seen in manga and anime that consisted of the character, through events such as death, summoning or mere accident, ending up in another world completely different from his own.

Izuku began to feel himself panicking.

If he really was in another world, then what could he do? How would he get back to his world? Would the others be looking for him or would they think he had died?

Korra became worried as soon as she saw that Izuku was getting nervous for some reason.

"Gentlemen." began Katara getting everyone's attention and causing Izuku to calm down a bit. "The boy just woke up. What he needs right now is rest so he can recover."

The White Lotus elders looked at each other before mentally making a decision.

"Okay." said the leader of the White Lotus accepting the waterbender's suggestion.

Korra had taken Izuku to a room where he could rest peacefully.

During the walk, Izuku could see that the place they were in wasn't very technological, as they were using torches for lighting, not to mention that, looking out a window, he could see that they were in a sort of center in the middle of a snowy terrain.

For a moment he thought that, if he had escaped, he would have no place to go, not only because he knows nothing of this world, but because he wouldn't survive the cold outside.

Once he reached his room, Korra gave him a moment of privacy to change.

Izuku laid his clothes on a chair before changing into an outfit like blue and white like the one Korra was wearing and needless to say, he felt warmer with it on.

At that moment, Korra slightly opened the door.

"Is that it? Can I come in?" asked Korra.

"Sure, no problem." said Izuku, giving the Avatar permission to enter.

Izuku sat down on his bed while Korra sat in another chair.

"Sorry about earlier. The White Lotus is a bit cautious, especially since I brought a stranger into the complex." said Korra.

"Never mind. I understand." said Izuku.

Before they could continue talking, someone knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" asked Korra.

The door opened, revealing that the caller was Katara.

"Korra, the White Lotus wants to talk to you." said Katara.

"Ugh, now what do they want?" asked Korra in annoyance. "I guess I have to go. I'll see you later, Izuku."

"Okay." said Izuku before Korra stood up and turned around. "Oh, Korra." began Izuku causing the Avatar to turn her head towards him. "Thanks again." said Izuku with a smile.

Korra smiled back before walking out of the room, leaving the green-haired boy alone.

Izuku hoped that the person who saved him wouldn't get into too much trouble because of him.

Afterwards, he thought about his situation again.

Seeing that this world wasn't lacking in advanced technology, the idea of asking them to invent a portal was out of the question.

Besides, how was he going to explain to them the fact that he came from another world? What would happen if they took him for a madman and locked him up?

The only thing he could do at that point was wait for Mei to repair her invention and his friends to come looking for him.

Of course, a part of him couldn't help but feel excited about the fact that he was in another world different from his own.

Meanwhile, Korra was in the dining hall with the White Lotus elders and Katara talking about a certain green-haired boy who had mysteriously arrived.

It was then that the elders proposed a solution, one that the Avatar didn't like at all.

"You want to send him away?!" asked Korra in shock.

"Korra, he's an outsider we know nothing about other than the fact that he might come from Earth Kingdom." said the White Lotus leader.

"But he didn't look like someone from the Earth Kingdom. Besides, he came here through a strange light. We wouldn't know where exactly to send him." said Korra defending the green-haired boy.

The White Lotus leader was about to respond to that when...

"I agree with Korra." began Katara drawing the attention of the elders. "When I healed him, I could feel something strange inside him, something I've never seen before. It would be best if he stayed here."

"I'm not entirely sure about that, Master Katara." said the leader of the White Lotus.

"Wait, what if I take care of him? I could help him fit in here. After all, I was the one who brought him in." said Korra hoping that would resolve the situation.

The elders might still be suspicious of Izuku, but they couldn't just let him wander the world without hearing from him either.

"Maybe it's for the best. They are almost the same age. They could learn from each other." said Katara in support of the Avatar's idea.

After a bit of debate, the elders finally came to a decision.

"All right, Korra. Since you brought him here, it will be your responsibility." said the leader of the White Lotus.

"Yes!" exclaimed Korra happily as she raised her arms in the air in victory, but then remembered where she was and clasped her hands together before bowing in a respectful manner. "I-I mean, thank you. I won't let you down."

Izuku was lying on his bed, waiting for Korra to arrive with the result of her conversation with that White Lotus, who he could guess was an important organization in that world.

Finally, his wait ended when he heard the door open, and he sat up so he could see Korra enter the room.

"Well, what happened?" asked Izuku.

"Well, there was a time when they suggested sending you away from here." began Korra, causing the green-haired boy to become very worried. "But I managed to convince them otherwise."

"So, what will happen to me?" asked Izuku.

"You'll stay here, but I'll be with you for whatever you need, since I was the one who rescued you and brought you here." said Korra.

He might not be able to leave the complex for a while, but knowing he would have the Avatar by his side made him feel better.

A short time later, Korra and Izuku were walking in the courtyard of the complex.

Despite the coat he was wearing, Izuku couldn't help but shiver a little from the cold.

"Brr. It's really cold, don't you have a problem with it?" asked Izuku.

"Well, when you live here for a long time, you get used to it eventually." said Korra.

Suddenly, the two heard footsteps heading towards them at high speed and the moment Izuku turned to the side to see the cause, Naga lunged at him and knocked him to the ground as he let out a startled yell.

"Naga!" exclaimed Korra thinking the polar bear dog was attacking her new friend, but was reassured to see that she was only licking his face, which made him laugh a little.

"W-what is this?" asked Izuku a little surprised to see a huge dog at the same time laughing at the licks.

Korra chuckled a little before pulling the animal away from the green-haired boy.

"This is Naga, she's my polar bear dog." said Korra as Izuku petted the animal's head.

"A cross between a polar bear and a dog. Koji would have loved to see something like that." said Izuku remembering his classmate who has the power to talk to animals.

"This is the first time you've seen one, right?" asked Korra as Izuku stood up.

"Yeah, and that I've seen a lot of things where I come from." said Izuku.

"By the way, where did you come from? You said you came from a place called Japan, but I never heard of a place with that name." said Korra feeling curious about the green-haired boy.

Izuku became a little nervous.

He knew that sooner or later he would have to tell them about the fact that he comes from another world, but he didn't know how to say it or how they would react.

However, Korra had been kind to him since he arrived, even defending him from the White Lotus.

"Well... I don't want to scare you or anything, but... what I'm about to say isn't something easy to believe." said Izuku.

"Give it a try." said Korra.

Izuku took a deep breath, preparing to tell.

"You see, I'm… from another world." said Izuku thinking she would take him for crazy or something.

Instead, Korra's expression was one of surprise.

"Wait, what? Another world? Different from the physical and spiritual?" asked Korra in confusion.

"Yes, I come from a world called Earth that is different from this one." said Izuku.

Korra suddenly went quiet, which made the green-haired boy nervous, thinking that his reaction would be negative, but then...

"That's amazing!" exclaimed Korra excitedly, to the green-haired boy's surprise. "And you say that world is different from this one? In what way?"

"Well, it's a long story." said Izuku.

Suddenly, Korra, with a flick of her foot, made two stone stumps emerge from the ground before sitting on one of them.

"We have plenty of time." said Korra.

Izuku's jaw dropped at the sight.

How had she done that? Did that world also have people with Quirks or is it something different?

He wanted to ask about it, but before that he had to answer her questions himself, so he shook his head to clear his mind and sat down on the other stump.

"For starters, in our there are Quirks." said Izuku starting the story.

"Quirks?" asked Korra.

"It's a strange energy inside people that grants various powers. Currently, 80% of the population of my world is born with one." said Izuku.

"Wow. Now I understand what Katara meant by that strange energy in you. It must have been your Quirk, right?" asked Korra impressed by the green-haired boy's world.

"Yes. Because of the amount of people with powers, being a hero became an official job and people go to schools where they study to be professional heroes." said Izuku.

"Really? That's impressive! And what kind of Quirk or power do you have?" asked Korra.

That was a complicated question for Izuku.

He didn't want to lie to the person who had helped him so much, but All Might told him that he couldn't tell anyone about the One For All.

Although Katsuki knew about it, that was by accident, but since then, he didn't tell anyone else.

"My Quirk is Super Strength. It consists of an energy inside me that increases the power of my muscles." said Izuku.

"Wow. Wait, that's what caused your scars?" asked Korra referring to the scars on his arm.

"Yeah, it turns out I haven't quite mastered my Quirk and at first I used to hurt myself every time I used it, but now I've mastered it a little better and I train to be able to control more than I can." said Izuku.

"Could you teach me a little bit?" asked Korra.

"Sure." said Izuku.

The two children stood up and Korra used her earthbending to make a huge boulder pop out of the ground.

Izuku was shocked once again and his desire to ask about it was increasing, but now he had to focus on the current conversation.

After taking a deep breath, he activated his Quirk, causing green lightnings to run all over his body, much to the Avatar's surprise.

He drew back his fist before slamming it directly into the rock, shattering it into thousands of pieces as he sent the pieces flying away due to the blast of wind.

"Uh... Out of curiosity, how much did you use?" asked Korra impressed by the green-haired boy's strength.

"I only used 5%." said Izuku.

That made the Avatar's jaw drop. Had he only used 5% for a rock his size?

In the next instant, a large toothy grin suddenly appeared on her face.

"THAT. IS. SO. GREAT!" exclaimed Korra before getting very close to the green-haired boy, making him very nervous to the point where he blushed at having a girl so close. "You used so little power? Does that mean, if you used your full strength, you could break even mountains?"

"I-I guess so." said Izuku nervously.

"You are amazing, Izuku. You truly have great power." said Korra.

Izuku couldn't help but blush more due to the Avatar's praise.

"T-Thank you." began Izuku scratching the back of his neck. "Though it's nothing compared to the other professional heroes."

"Really? Tell me more." said Korra sitting down on the stump, completely interested in the world of the green-haired boy.

For the next few minutes, Izuku was telling Korra many things about his world.

The main thing he was telling her was about some of the professional heroes like Endeavour, Hawks, Best Jeanist, Ryukyu, Mirko, Aizawa, Present Mic, Gang Orca, etc.

Izuku even used his cell phone to show her images of said heroes, though, thankfully, Korra was so focused on the images that she didn't ask about the device.

Korra was becoming more and more amazed at the world of the green-haired man.

She had never imagined that abilities like those of these heroes could exist beyond what was already in her world.

A part of her wished she could go and see that world with her own eyes.

It was then that Izuku told her about the former number one hero, All Might, a mega strong man who could even change the weather with his punches and who always saved people with a smile.

Despite only hearing about it or seeing pictures of him on Izuku's cell phone, Korra began to also feel admiration and respect for the former professional hero, as she too wanted to save people like Avatar.

"Izuku, your world is wonderful. I would love to be able to see it." said Korra.

"You would love it, I assure you. Now, I'd like to ask you one thing." said Izuku in a serious tone.

"Sure. What is it?" asked Korra.

The next instant, Izuku approached her with stars in her eyes, something that made the Avatar a little nervous.

"How did you do that thing earlier with the stone? Do the people of this world have their powers too? Can you do anything else?" asked Izuku.

"Hehe. Okay, okay, easy." said Korra finding Izuku's behavior amusing as she sent him to sit down. "Well, considering you've told me about your world, it's time for me to tell you about mine." said Korra.

After that, Korra drew on the snow on the ground four different symbols.

"Our world is divided into four different nations. The Air Nomads, the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, and the Fire Nation." said Korra beginning her explanation. "What you saw me do earlier was bending, a form of martial art that half of this world possesses, being known as benders. The bending allows them to manipulate one of the four elements."

"And, based on those nations, I can guess that there are airbenders, waterbenders, earthbenders and firebenders, right? That's amazing!" said Izuku in awe of that world's abilities.

There might have been all kinds of powers in his world, but he was still impressed.

"You get it quickly. However, out of all the benders there is one special one who is tasked with bringing balance and peace to the world. That person is the Avatar and is the only one who can bender all four elements." said Korra.

"Really? That Avatar sounds awesome! Do you know who he is?" asked Izuku wanting to meet someone who is considered a hero in that world.

"You have him right in front of you." said Korra crossing her arms with an amused smile.

Izuku was taken aback by that revelation.

"Y-You're the Avatar?" asked Izuku in complete surprise.

In response, Korra stood up from the stump and waved her arms, causing some snow to rise, turn into water and gather between her hands to form a water bubble which she then tossed into the air, causing it to rain a little.

She then shot a couple of fireballs from her fists before stomping her feet, causing a stone to pop up from the ground before kicking it away from them.

"Yes, I am." said Korra with her hands on her hips.

Izuku was completely shocked.

When he saw her create the stumps and that stone he destroyed, he thought it was a power like any other, even more so when she told him about the benders, which made him think she was an earthbender.

But now, after that demonstration, he realized that she wasn't a normal bender like surely the others of that world, but that she was the Avatar, someone who was considered in that world to be a heroine.

"THAT. IS. SO. GREAT!" exclaimed Izuku with extreme excitement.

"Thank you." said Korra.

"Wait, you used only three elements. What about air?" asked Izuku.

"Well, it turns out I haven't started training him yet." said Korra rubbing the back of her head with a nervous smile.

"And the title of Avatar was bestowed upon you before you bended the four elements?" asked Izuku feeling curious about the Avatar.

"You see, I'm not exactly the first Avatar in this world. There were many before me." said Korra, much to the green-haired man's confusion.

For the next few minutes, Korra was telling him that the Avatar had been around for a very long time and that when an Avatar dies, he is reincarnated into another person from another elemental nation based on an endless cycle.

If the Avatar was an airbender, he would be reincarnated into a waterbender, then an earthbender, then a firebender and again, an airbender, repeating the cycle over and over again.

Izuku was speechless.

As Korra explained the Avatar's story, only one word passed through his mind as he heard it all.

One For All.

A power that had been around since the Quirks came into existence that was passed down from generation to generation, becoming more powerful each time it was passed from one person to another.

To him, the One For All and the Avatar were very similar, as they were powers that were created to protect the world from terrible threats and were inherited to other people, with the difference being that the bearers of the One For All chose their successors while the Avatar is chosen by chance or fate after one's death.

After that, Korra began to tell the green-haired boy the story of his ancestor, Avatar Aang, a 12-year-old boy who had ended up frozen in an iceberg for 100 years and when he woke up, the world was at war against the Fire Nation and he, along with his friends, managed to stop the war and bring peace to the world.

Izuku had a mixture of emotions upon hearing the story.

First, he was shocked to learn that Aang was frozen for 100 years when such a thing couldn't be possible unless it was cryogenics.

Second, he was horrified to discover that the Air Nomads had been exterminated when the Fire Lord who started the war, Sozin, had them wiped out so that the Avatar would not get in the way of his plans.

To him, the man was a cruel and inhuman villain, because he killed an entire population just for one person.

But afterwards, he was astonished to learn that a simple group of children managed to defeat an entire nation and stop the war.

If such a thing had happened in his world, those children would be considered professional heroes despite their age.

"Whoa. Korra, your world is amazing. I wasn't expecting any of that." said Izuku.

"Same goes for yours, but there's something I don't understand. How did you get to this world?" asked Korra.

"Well, a friend of mine is a genius inventor and she showed me and my friends a space teleporter that would allow people to go anywhere in the world in a jiffy." said Izuku.

"Wow, that sounds amazing." said Korra.

"Yeah, but during the testing process, the device suffered a malfunction and formed a portal that sucked me in. The next thing I remember is waking up here." said Izuku.

"So, you have no way to get back to your world?" asked Korra.

"No, but that doesn't discourage me, I know my friends will be doing their best to bring me back. I just have to be patient." said Izuku.

"I'm glad to hear that." said Korra smiling at the positivity of the green-haired boy.

"So, you're the Avatar now?" asked Izuku changing the subject.

"Well, not quite. I still have yet to bend the air, but when Tenzin comes and trains me, I will finally be, and I can do my duty." said Korra.

"Who is Tenzin?" asked Izuku.

"Oh, Tenzin is the son of Aang and Katara. He and his children are the only airbenders left in the world and because of his position as a member of the Republic City council, he has been very busy and couldn't come until now." said Korra.

From what Korra told him, Republic City was a city that Aang and his friends founded after the war for benders and non-benders of all nations to live together in harmony.

To create such a thing after a 100-year war was something to be admired.

"Well, I'm sure you'll make it." said Izuku with a confident smile.

"Thank you, Izuku. I am too." said Korra smiling back.

It had been a couple of days since Izuku arrived on that world.

Although he was unable to leave the complex except when he went with Korra and Naga for a walk on the tundra, Izuku wasn't bored there.

Occasionally, he would go to the library to learn as much as he could about that world and the previous Avatars, thanks to Katara's permission.

There he discovered stories of some Avatars like Yangchen, considered a saint; Kuruk, an Avatar hunter of dark spirits; Kyoshi, the longest-lived and strongest Avatar in the world; and Roku, the Avatar before Aang.

To Izuku, these Avatars were as great as the heroes of his world.

They may have had the same powers, but that didn't make them any less impressive.

He also learned about the spirit world, a world connected to that where spirits dwelled and that there had been people who, by meditating well and hard, could enter there.

When he wasn't in the library reading, he hung out with Korra showing each other their powers.

Korra would teach him some bending techniques she had learned over the years and Izuku would teach him some techniques he developed based on his Quirk, among them, a technique that allowed him to launch wind waves with an arm, finger, or leg movement.

Needless to say, Korra was impressed, as that would be considered airbending.

No doubt the two were having a good time together.

Finally the day had come.

The day Tenzin would arrive and teach Korra airbending, which would make her a full Avatar.

Needless to say, Izuku chuckled a little at Korra's excitement at this.

In the middle of the sunset, Izuku, Korra and Katara stood at the gates of the complex awaiting the arrival of the airbender.

They were quiet for quite a while until Izuku noticed something in the sky.

"What is that?" asked Izuku pointing in the sky, where a flying bison was seen descending from the sky flying towards the complex.

"It's a flying bison, the mascot and companion of all the airbenders." explained Korra.

"Wow, that's amazing!" said Izuku with stars in his eyes, as that animal was like a living airplane.

"Yes. Even riding in one is quite an adventure. I can tell you that." said Katara remembering her time with Appa.

Izuku turned to look at her, as, during those days, he had been asking her about things about Aang and she told him about all the adventures they had since she and her older brother, Sokka, found him on the iceberg.

The three of them stood waiting for the bison to land and, despite the height at which the flying animal was, someone could be heard talking on his back.

"Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? It looks like we're there. I know it, this is very familiar! Are we here yet? Are we here yet? Ooh, please tell me we're here!" said a childish voice as the bison landed on the ground.

"Yes, Ikki, as I've been telling you for the last fifteen minutes, we are, finally, here." said Tenzin in an exhausted voice as a child bit his head like a coconut.

At the news, two girls on the back of the flying bison created an air scooter to glide along the bison's tail as Katara approached her family.

When the girls reached the end of the tail, they undid the scooter.

"Hello, Mother. I can't tell you how happy I am to see you." said Tenzin very exhausted as the boy tugged on his ears and the girls stood beside him. "Please, help me." pleaded Tenzin as he bent down, allowing his mother to grab his son.

Katara laughed at her son's plight.

"Unhand me, strange woman!" said Meelo jerking to escape his grandmother's grip.

"That's your grandmother, Meelo." said Tenzin.

Meelo broke free from Katara's grip, stepped over her leaning on her head and landed behind her before running back to her father.

"It's so good to see all of you." said Katara happy to see her grandchildren.

"Gran Gran, I've been reading all about your old adventures. I've been dying to ask you: What happened to Zuko's mom?" said Jinora.

"Well, Jinora, it's an incredible tale…" began Katara before suddenly the other girl stood in front of her.

"Gran Gran, you look old. How old are you? And why is it so cold in the South Pole? Can we make a campfire, and all huddle around it, and tell scary stories, and make snowmen? And then can you make the snowmen move with waterbending and chase us? Wouldn't that be fuuun? Huh? Wouldn't it?" asked Ikki as she jumped up and down, much to her older sister's annoyance as Tenzin approached the bison to help his pregnant wife.

"Pema, let me help you. Careful now, careful." said Tenzin holding his wife's hand, but she pushed her away soon after.

"Stop doting on me. I'm not helpless, I'm just pregnant." Pema said looking at her swollen belly.

Katara approached her daughter-in-law and the two shared a hug.

"The baby's strong." began Katara with a hand on Pema's belly. "I see another airbender in your future." said Katara causing an expression of annoyance and weariness to form on the woman's face.

"All I want is one child like me, a nice non-bender, who doesn't blast wind in my face every five seconds." said Pema before turning an annoyed look to the side.

"Mommy, look." said Meelo who was inside a pile of snow and whose two sisters were on either side playing with the snow. Soon after, Meelo popped the pile of snow with airbending as he spun in the air before landing. "I'm a snowbender!" exclaimed Meelo with a smile while Pema still had the same tired and annoyed look with bits of snow on her which she then shook her head off.

"Were Tenzin and his siblings this crazy when they were kids?" asked Pema to Katara.

"Kya and Bumi certainly were, but Tenzin has always been… rather serious." said Katara.

"Mother, please." said Tenzin not wanting to hear stories of his childhood at the moment before turning his gaze to a certain someone. "Korra?" asked Tenzin cheerfully, causing Korra to approach him with a smile as the airbender put his hands on her shoulders. "Look at you, so big and strong. You've grown into quite the young Avatar."

It was then that he noticed a certain green-haired boy.

"Ah, and who are you?" asked Tenzin.

"Master Tenzin, this is Izuku. I found him lying in the snow when I was walking with Naga and brought him to the complex." said Korra introducing the green-haired boy to the airbender.

Tenzin was a bit confused by the fact that she found him lying in the snow in the middle of nowhere.

"That's right, Korra found him and saved him by bringing him here." said Katara confirming the facts before moving closer to her son. "Besides, I feel there is something very special about him." whispered Katara.

"Well then, it's a pleasure to meet you, Izuku." said Tenzin.

"T-The pleasure is mine, Master Tenzin." said Izuku nervously as he bowed, since he was in front of an important person.

After that, Korra focused on the previous topic.

"Master Tenzin, I'm so glad you're here. I can't wait to get started." said Korra eagerly.

"Yes, well…" began Tenzin not knowing what to say, but from the look on his face, it wasn't good.

"You're going to have to tell her sooner or later." said Pema knowing what she had to say.

"But tell me what?" asked Korra with slight concern.

Katara seemed the only one who knew what was going on.

"You're not staying, are you?" asked Katara with slight sadness.

Tenzin let out a sad sigh.

"I'm afraid not. We're only visiting for the night. Then I have to return to Republic City." said Tenzin.

"But… no, you're supposed to move here. You're supposed to teach me." said Korra trying to convince the airbender, but to no avail.

"Relax, Korra. I'm sure it's temporary, right?" asked Izuku trying to help his friend.

"I'm sorry, Korra. Your airbending training is going to have to wait." said Tenzin with his hands on the Avatar's shoulders to make her understand the situation.

That same night, Korra, Izuku, Tenzin and some members of the White Lotus were at a table having dinner.

"So, how long until you're ready to teach me airbending? A week? A month?" asked Korra.

"It could be much longer." said Tenzin.

"I don't understand. Why are you making me wait?" asked Korra.

"What exactly is going on?" asked Izuku.

"I have a responsibility to Republic City. I am one of its leaders, and the situation there is very unstable right now." said Tenzin.

"Because of the criminals?" asked Izuku receiving stares from everyone present, something that made him nervous. "Eh... I-I was just guessing."

"Yes, you could say that." said Tenzin.

"But you also have a responsibility to teach me. Believe me, I'd be happy to find another airbending master, but you're the only one. We're stuck with each other." said Korra.

"I wish there were another way." said Tenzin.

It was at that moment that an idea flashed through Izuku's head, an idea that would solve the situation.

"You know? Where I come from there is a saying. If Mohammed doesn't go to the mountain, the mountain will go to Mohammed." said Izuku.

"What does that mean?" asked the White Lotus leader confused by the saying.

"It means that, if Tenzin can't leave Republic City to train Korra, then Korra could go to Republic City to receive training and also get to know the city." explained Izuku.

"That's it! That's a perfect idea!" said Korra excited about the green-haired boy's idea.

"Absolutely not! The city is far too dangerous. Avatar Aang tasked us with keeping you safe while you mastered the four elements." said the leader of the White Lotus.

"I get that, but I don't think keeping me locked up in this compound like a prisoner is what he had in mind." said Korra.

"From what I read of the previous Avatars, they all came to learn bending of the four elements during their travels around the world. How will Korra be able to train airbending if the only airbenders can't be here?" asked Izuku.

"Our mission is to protect the Avatar until she masters the four elements. Once she does, she will be ready to fulfill her duties. Sending her now could pose a problem." said the White Lotus leader.

"But even so, if she continues here, she won't know what will await her once she goes out into the world. Even Avatar Aang had to learn of the world before he could take down Fire Lord Ozai." said Izuku.

"Leave my father out of this!" exclaimed Tenzin, causing the green-haired boy to startle.

"Hey, you don't talk to him like that! He's just trying to help!" said Korra defending her friend.

Tenzin calmed down a bit before speaking again.

"I know this is difficult to accept, but it's not the right time for you to come to the city." said Tenzin.

"Whatever." said Korra getting up and walking away, leaving the two elders let out a deep sigh at the Avatar's predicament.

Izuku got up from the table and prepared to leave as well, but stopped before he passed through the door and turned his head to look at the two elders.

"It may be none of my business, but this isn't the best solution. Neither for her, nor for all of you." said Izuku before leaving.

Izuku left the building and walked a bit down the road while thinking about the conversation earlier.

He wanted to go cheer Korra up, but thought he should give her some space.

Despite the fact that he had given a good solution, the White Lotus leader and Tenzin denied it saying that Korra wasn't ready.

That was another difference between the One For All and the Avatar.

While the One For All was kept secret to prevent chaos from happening and attacking the bearer's family members, the Avatar was a known fact throughout the world. An idol.

Because of this, the elders insisted on preparing Korra fully for when the time came that the Avatar would be needed, so that she wouldn't make any mistakes.

Instead, he trained his Quirk as much as he could so that he could use it the moment it was needed.

He didn't need to wait until he had mastered it completely, for the villains weren't going to wait and it could be the same for the villains in that world.

Suddenly, his train of thought stopped as a snowball impacted the back of his head, causing him to turn around.

"But what...?" asked Izuku before seeing the young airbenders emerge from behind two mounds of snow, Jinora and Ikki from one and Meelo from the other.

"Sorry. We tried to target our brother, but we missed." said Jinora.

"It doesn't matter. No one has been hurt. You are Tenzin's children, right?" asked Izuku.

"I'm Ikki, this is my older sister, Jinora and our younger brother, Meelo." said Ikki introducing her siblings.

"Aren't you Korra's new friend?" asked Meelo.

Izuku knelt down to keep up with the children.

"Why yes. My name is Izuku Midoriya." said Izuku.

"Hey, is it true that Korra found you lying in the snow? How did you end up like that? Where did you come from? Why do you have green hair? Is it natural? Has anyone ever told you that you look like a broccoli?" asked Ikki quickly.

Izuku couldn't help but chuckle at the middle daughter's childish energy.

"Yes, I've been told that several times in the past. As for where I'm from, let's just say I'm from a place far away." said Izuku.

"So, are you an earthbender?" asked Jinora curiously.

Izuku didn't know what to do, as he didn't want to tell them the fact that he came from another world, as it would be complicated for them, but if he was going to be in that world longer, he needed a story to explain his powers.

"Children, could you keep a secret?" asked Izuku, receiving a mutual and coordinated nod from the young airbenders. "I'm not a bender, but I have a special and unique power."

"Really? Which one is it?" asked Jinora.

To answer that, Izuku stood up and looked at the mounds of snow in which the children hid earlier.

Suddenly, to the surprise of the three children, Izuku's body began to emit green sparks, a sign that he had activated his Quirk.

He put pressure on his index fingers, aimed at the mounds and shortly after, released them, launching a few blasts of wind that hit the mounds, destroying them in the process.

After that, Izuku deactivated his Quirk and turned his gaze to the young airbenders who were gawking at the display of power.

"Are you... ARE YOU AN AIRBENDER?!" shouted Meelo at the top of his lungs.

"SHH." voiced Izuku, not wanting to alert everyone. "No, I'm not."

"Then how did you do that?" asked Ikki.

"My power allows me to increase the power of my muscles to above human levels. What I did just now was move my fingers at such speed and strength that I released a burst of powerful wind." explained Izuku.

"Amazing! And you can do more things?" asked Jinora completely fascinated by the green-haired boy's power.

"Yes, yes I can." said Izuku.

For a few minutes, Izuku was answering various questions asked by the young airbenders.

Unbeknownst to them, Tenzin had seen it all from the window and, needless to say, he was surprised.

He knew from his mother that this boy was special, but he hadn't expected him to be so special.

Several questions were running through his mind about who he really was and what was this power he had shown.

The next morning, Katara was saying goodbye to her family who were on the back of the flying bison preparing for takeoff.

"Goodbye, Gran Gran!" said Ikki.

"Oogi, yip-yip!" said Tenzin.

At the command, the flying bison flew high and away, leaving Katara wiping her eyes in sadness.

"Katara."

Katara turned to see Izuku approaching her.

"Have you seen Korra?" asked Izuku.

"She went for a walk with Naga, but she hasn't come back yet." said Katara.

Izuku couldn't help but feel sorry for the Avatar.

She was looking forward to her remaining training, but she was going to have to wait who knows how long.

Meanwhile, Korra was on Naga's back with her resting on the edge of a ledge in the middle of the tundra.

Suddenly, the two turned their heads to the side to see Oogi and his passengers pass them.

They followed them with their eyes until they were lost on the horizon.

Korra was depressed.

After so many years of training, she had already mastered water, earth, and fire, but just when she thought she could finally learn airbending, her master told her she couldn't pass.

At that moment, she remembered what Izuku said the night before.

"If Mohammed doesn't go to the mountain, the mountain will go to Mohammed."

She was determined.

She wasn't going to wait around for Tenzin to come back to train her and she wasn't going to let the White Lotus elders decide her life.

It was time for her to make her own decisions.

Later, in the middle of the night, Korra found herself entering the stables and taking Naga's saddle, but as she was placing the saddle...

"Weren't you planning to say goodbye?" asked a voice that startled Korra as she turned around, only to calm down when she saw that it was Izuku, with his first outfit and a bag over his shoulder. "You plan on escaping and going to Republic City despite what the White Lotus people told you, don't you?"

"Yes and don't think about stopping me. This is something I need to do." said Korra.

"I'm not going to do it. I'm coming with you." said Izuku, much to the Avatar's surprise.

"What? Really?" asked Korra.

"I may not know much about this world or the Avatar, but I know you won't be able to do your duty by simply staying here and waiting. If the world needs the Avatar, it will have her even if she isn't quite ready." said Izuku.

Korra couldn't help but smile at the green-haired boy's words.

"Besides, I don't know what I'm going to do in this new world without you. Since I'm your responsibility, I should go with you, right?" asked Izuku rubbing the back of his head.

"Hihi. Yeah, you're right." said Korra.

The two set about getting ready to leave when...

"Nice night for an escape, isn't it?" at the new voice, Korra and Izuku turned their heads with a scared and worried expression as they saw Katara standing at the entrance.

"I have to leave. I have to find my own path as the Avatar." said Korra approaching Katara.

"I know you do." said Katara with a sweet smile, causing Korra to smile too as she saw that her waterbending master agreed with her. "Aang's time has passed. My brother and many of my friends are gone. It's time for you and your generation to take over the responsibility of keeping peace and balance in the world. And I think you're going to be a great Avatar." said Katara.

"Thank you." said Korra hugging the waterbender.

After the hug, Katara turned her gaze to the green-haired boy.

"Izuku, I have a feeling there is something truly special about you. I trust you to help Korra on her journey the same way I trust her to help you." Katara said.

"I will, Katara. I promise." said Izuku before receiving a hug from the waterbender, much to her surprise, but he didn't hesitate to hug her back.

"Goodbye to both of you." said Katara.

Quite a distance away from the complex of the White Lotus, a hole formed in the middle of the snow and out through it came Korra, Izuku and Naga.

After Naga shook the snow off, Korra and Izuku climbed onto her back, with Izuku behind Korra and proceeded to ride away from there.

Soon after, Korra was hugging her parents in front of their house while Izuku waited on Naga's back.

"Mom, Dad. I'll miss you." said Korra undoing the hug.

"We love you so much." said Senna.

Seeing that, Izuku couldn't help but remember his mother and how worried she was every time he was injured.

He even remembered how sad she was after what happened at the mall.

He began to think about how she was feeling after her disappearance.

Most likely she would be praying to the gods to protect him and bring him back.

If he could, he would like to send a message, either with his cell phone or his mind to tell her he was okay, but, for the moment, he could only wait for when he could return to his world.

Korra left quickly to keep the situation from becoming sadder than it was.

She climbed onto Naga's back and they rode off across the snowy field.

They soon arrived at the dock where they snuck inside a ship bound for Republic City.

Izuku wasn't one to break the law, but considering they had no money, there was no other choice.

Soon after, the ship got underway and sailed out to sea under the night sky.

Korra, Izuku and Naga, who was sleeping, were in the cargo compartments to avoid being found until they reached Republic City.

"Nervous?" asked Izuku.

"Excited, more like. I've heard stories of Republic City and I'm finally going to meet her. How about you?" asked Korra.

"Well, I'm a little curious about that place too, honestly." said Izuku.

At that moment, Korra thought of a way to pass the time.

"So, if your world has such mind-blowing heroes, I gather there will be villains too, right?" asked Korra.

"Yes, there are." said Izuku.

"Have you faced any of them before?" asked Korra curiously.

That caused Izuku to show the Avatar a serious expression.

"Yes, I have." said Izuku.

"Can you tell me about it? If you don't want to, no problem." said Korra.

"No, it's okay. It's okay." began Izuku before taking a deep breath to calm down and tell the story. "The first villain I faced... was Tomura Shigaraki."

"Tomura Shigaraki?" asked Korra seeing the name a bit odd.

"He's the leader of the League of Villains. He's bent on wiping out society and causing chaos to break out." said Izuku.

"What kind of power does he have? If he's that important, he must have a pretty big one." said Korra.

"Yes. His Quirk allowed him to destroy everything he touches with his five fingers, turning it into dust and rubble, including people." said Izuku remembering what Tomura did when he touched Aizawa's elbow during the USJ incident.

Korra was horrified.

A power that makes you destroy everything you touch sounds incredibly horrible and powerful.

That made it difficult to touch him, as he could take advantage of touching you and use his power to kill you.

"The second villain I faced was Stain, the Hero Killer." said Izuku.

"H-Hero Killer?" asked Korra in shock to hear that there was someone who is dedicated to killing heroes.

"Stain or what's his real name, Chizome Akaguro, was a kid who wanted to be a hero, but seeing that people only wanted to be heroes for fame or money instead of doing it to protect people, made him decide to clean this world of fake heroes by killing them all." said Izuku.

"And how did he do that?" asked Korra, for, if that man could kill heroes, he must have been very strong.

"His Quirk allowed him to paralyze people after tasting a sample of their blood." said Izuku.

Korra was speechless.

She had heard of bloodbenders having the ability to paralyze people and control them like puppets, but that person could do it after tasting her blood.

"Not only that, but he was also very fast and skilled with swords. It took the help of two friends of mine to defeat him." said Izuku.

Korra was surprised.

She knew Izuku was strong from his Quirk demonstration, but if it took the help of two other people to defeat him, it meant he was stronger than she thought.

"The last villain I faced was the toughest one in my life." said Izuku.

"Who was it?" asked Korra.

"Muscular. His Quirk allowed him to build up muscle fibers, increasing his strength and speed. No matter how much I hit him, he wouldn't stop getting up due to using his own muscles as a shield." said Izuku remembering his fight against the villain.

"And how did you defeat him?" asked Korra.

"I increased the power of my Quirk to 1000000% and hit him so hard that I managed to knock him down." said Izuku.

"What? Are you crazy? Katara said it's a miracle you can move them, that one more overexertion and you'd be out of arms. Why did you do such a crazy thing?" asked Korra.

"Because if I hadn't, my life and that of a civilian child would be over. Sometimes, being a hero means making sacrifices for the good of all." said Izuku earnestly.

Korra was impressed.

Despite the fact that he might be left with no arms, Izuku would be willing to do it again if it meant protecting people.

She began to have a feeling of respect for the green-haired boy, as he possessed much more experience than she did.

Deep down, she would like to be like him, an Avatar who would be willing to risk everything for people.

After the talk about villains, Izuku went on to tell her about his classmates.

Korra was a little annoyed when he told her about Katsuki, an arrogant boy with explosive power; then she was in awe when he told her about Shoto, a boy who could create ice and fire, almost like a half Avatar; and that's when she noticed a change in tone when Izuku told her about Ochaco.

At that moment, she could sense that there was something else, but she let it go.

The next morning, Izuku and Korra were asleep on Naga.

Suddenly, noises and voices from outside caused Izuku to wake up.

After letting out a yawn and rubbing his eyes, he realized the situation.

"Korra, Korra." began Izuku shaking the Avatar's shoulder. "It's our stop."

Hearing that, Korra quickly woke up.

"Naga, we're here!" said Korra waking the polar bear dog.

Soon after, the door to the ship's warehouse opened, allowing the sun's rays in and the three quickly ducked out of sight as several men entered.

While those men were carrying the packages, Korra and Izuku, who were on Naga's back, took advantage of that to run out of the place.

"Thanks for the ride!" said Korra to a worker as they exited the ship, startling the handlers.

"Sorry for the inconvenience!" said Izuku as they walked away.

Soon after, Korra and Izuku stopped so they could take in the huge city before their eyes and, needless to say, they were impressed.

"Wow, look at this place, Izuku. I've never seen so many Satomobiles." said Korra.

"Is that what they're called? In my world we call them cars and, no offense, but they're more modern than yours." said Izuku.

"Easy, no offense taken." said Korra with a shrug. "So, what do you think of the city?"

"In my opinion, it looks like a steampunk style city, but as much as I would like to go sightseeing, I think we should go see Tenzin first." said Izuku.

"You're right." said Korra before focusing her look of awe on the statue of the previous Avatar, as she wanted to become as great an Avatar as he was.

"That's the Avatar Aang? That's awesome." said Izuku as he saw that the previous Avatar was so popular that they made him a statue similar to the Statue of Liberty in New York.

"I know." said Korra before turning her gaze to a nearby island. "Air Temple Island. That's where Tenzin lives." said Korra before looking back at her mount. "You ready for a little swim, girl?"

But then, Naga began to sniff something in the distance.

"Okay, okay! Food first, then air temple!" said Korra before Naga started running in another direction, but unfortunately they were riding in the middle of a road. "Watch out, Naga! Look out!" shouted Korra.

"BEWARE!" shouted Izuku just as they passed near a satomobile that slid down the road until it collided with another one. "Sorry!"

Naga went from running on the road to running through the people in the area.

"Excuse us. Coming through. Heads up." said Korra as they strolled past complaining passersby.

"S-Sorry. We just got here." said Izuku, who had unconsciously grabbed onto Korra to keep from falling.

Naga crouched down to follow the trail until she came to a stall selling food.

As soon as she saw what they were serving, Naga began to gasp with a loose tongue, wanting to taste the food.

"Naga, wait." said Korra making Naga groan in sadness.

"Take it easy, girl. We'll eat something soon." said Izuku calming the animal as he and the Avatar got off and stood in front of the attendant.

"We'll take one of everything, please." said Korra picking up a stick wrapped in meat.

"That will be twenty yuans." said the stall attendant.

Korra's eyes widened as she hadn't thought of that and looked at Izuku for help, but he shook his head quickly in a sign that he didn't have any.

"Uh… We don't have any money?" asked Korra, causing the manager to get angry and snatch the meat-wrapped stick from her.

"Then what good are you to me?" the manager asked angrily.

Disappointed, Korra and Izuku walked away and stood next to Naga to comfort her.

"Don't worry, girl." said Korra.

"Yes, the city is huge. I'm sure we'll find somewhere where there will be something to eat." said Izuku as the three of them walked away.

Later, Korra and Izuku were on the bank of a river, with Korra heating 3 fish strung on a stick with her fire control while Naga was rummaging through the river for more fish.

They happened to be in a huge park in the middle of the city.

"Korra, when I said there would be something to eat, I didn't exactly mean this." Izuku said with a bead of sweat as what they were doing would be considered illegal.

"Hey, I'm hungry and you are too. So shut up and eat." said Korra handing Izuku a stick with a heated fish skewered on it before she warmed the fish on a stick she was holding a bit more and then blew on it a bit to cool it down.

Izuku looked at the fish he was holding and even though he still didn't like the idea of fishing in a park, he had to admit he was hungry given the slight growl in his stomach.

In the end, he shrugged his shoulders and prepared to take a bite of the fish, but suddenly, next to him, through some bushes, a strange man in dirty clothes peeked out.

They both noticed the presence of the wanderer and were a little startled by it.

"Uh, say, think I can I get one of them tasty-smelling fishies?" asked Gommu.

"Oh, uh, yeah, sure." said Korra agreeing to share.

Gommu walked up to her, picked up a stick with a fish strung on it and started eating it.

"Hey, so... you live in a bush?" asked Izuku curiously.

"Yes, presently that is what I do call home. Took me a while to procure a bush that beauteous. This park is quite popular with all the vagabonds." said Gommu.

"So there are a lot of you out here? I thought everyone in this city was 'living it up'." said Korra making the vagabond laugh.

"That's not always the case, Korra. In my city, there are also people who live on the streets because of economic situations." said Izuku.

"The boy knows what he's talking about." said Gommu chuckling. "You've got a lot to learn, newcomer. Welcome to Republic City."

Korra and Izuku looked at each other after what the wanderer said when the sound of a whistle reached their ears.

The two children turned their heads to the side to see a guard near where they stood.

"Hey, you! Stop! You can't fish here!" said a guard running towards them.

"You best skedaddle!" said Gommu before turning back to his bush.

With a hiss, Korra called to Naga and she and Izuku jumped on her back to flee the scene.

"Sorry!" said Izuku as they rode away.

The guard tried to chase after them, but got tired and stopped to catch his breath.

Behind him Gommu could be seen peeking out from his bush to say goodbye.

Soon after, Korra and Izuku were strolling through the park on Naga's back when suddenly they heard a sound that caught their attention and they approached the source to see a table in front of a poster of a masked man and, on the table, there was a man speaking through a megaphone.

"Are you tired of living under the tyranny of benders? Then join the Equalists! For too long, the bending elite of this city have forced non-benders to live as lower-class citizens. Join Amon, and together we will tear down the bending establishment." said the protester.

"What are you talking about? Bending is the coolest thing in the world." said Korra in defense.

"Oh yeah? Let me guess: you and your friend are both benders?" asked the protester.

"Well, she is, but I... well... it's... complicated." said Izuku.

"Then I bet you'd just love to knock me off this platform with some waterbending, huh?" asked the protester trying to turn the conversation in his favor.

"I'm seriously thinking about it." said Korra crossing her arms.

"Korra, don't play along. He's using you." whispered Izuku trying to keep his friend from doing something crazy.

This is what's wrong with this city! Benders like this girl only use their power to oppress us!" said the protester, getting the people who were listening to him to complain about them.

"What? I'm not oppressing anyone! You're... you're oppressing yourselves!" said Korra trying to excuse herself.

"That doesn't make sense." said Izuku with a bead of sweat from the weak excuse.

"I agree with your friend." said the protester as the three of them walked away from the spot.

When they were far enough away, Korra decided to speak her mind about that protester.

"That's completely ridiculous. We benders aren't tyrants!" said Korra.

"You don't know that, Korra. There may be some benders who use their powers to abuse people. In fact, you can kinda understand how those people feel." said Izuku.

"Really? Why?" asked Korra with an arched eyebrow.

Izuku knew he was going to tell a little secret about his life, but he felt he could trust her with it.

"You see, I didn't always have my Quirk. Normally, Quirks manifest at the age of four, but when I took the test, I was told I didn't have a Quirk." began Izuku remembering the saddest moment of his life. "Despite that, I wanted to be a hero even though I didn't have Quirk. That made a lot of people laugh at me for thinking that way, they even used to pick on me because I didn't have Quirk, especially Kacchan."

"Kacchan? Do you mean Katsuki? That partner of yours who has the power to cause explosions? He picked on you simply because you didn't have a power?" asked Korra surprised to hear that.

"Yes. However, I didn't let any of that get to me, I was still determined to prove to everyone that I could become a hero even without a Quirk and when I least expected it, I got my own Quirk." said Izuku with a smile as he remembered when All Might told him the words he was most looking forward to hearing.

"Wow, Izuku. I had no idea. I'm so sorry about what happened to you." said Korra feeling sorry for the boy who was being messed with simply because he had a dream.

"It's okay. That's in the past. Now I just have to focus on controlling my Quirk and becoming the hero I always wanted to be." said Izuku with determination.

"That's the way I like it." said Korra with a smile.

Later, Korra and Izuku were walking along with Naga through the streets of the city.

Then, Korra approached a couple of people.

"Excuse me, I think I'm lost. How do I get to Air Temple Island from here?" asked Korra.

"Just head down this street." began an older lady when suddenly, across the corner, a red satomobile appeared. "You should get moving, young lady. It isn't safe." said the older lady running away in fright, much to the confusion of the Avatar and the green-haired boy.

The red satomobile stopped and out of it came three men who approached a man who was cleaning a phonograph.

"Mr. Chung, please tell me that you have my money, or else I can't guarantee I can protect your fine establishment." said one of the men wearing a hat, who looked like the leader, while another man behind him created a flame from his palm to emphasize what his boss was saying, much to the horror of the man with the phonograph.

To Izuku, that was a typical extortion situation where the mobsters would get paid not to destroy someone's business.

Good thing that, with the passage of time and the number of heroes and villain gangs, there weren't many mafias in existence.

"I'm sorry, business has been slow. Please, take one of my phonographs." said Mr. Chung approaching them to offer the phonograph he was cleaning earlier.

The firebender lifted his leg with a small flame on the sole of his foot and as he lowered his leg he struck the flame against the phonograph, setting it on fire in the process and scaring the master of the store so much that he fell sitting on the floor.

"My friend here is not a music lover. Give me the money, or else..." started the leader with the typical mobster threat when…

"Or else what, hoodlum?" the three men turned around to see Korra standing behind them with a cocky grin and hands on her hips.

"K-Korra?" asked Izuku surprised by his friend's act before approaching. "You shouldn't get involved. It would be best to wait for the police." whispered Izuku covering one side of his mouth with his hand.

"By the time they arrive, those guys will be gone. You relax, I've got it under control." whispered Korra covering her mouth with the back of her hand as she gave him a thumbs up and a confident smile.

The three mobsters looked at each other in confusion before bursting out laughing.

"Since you're obviously fresh off the boat, let me explain a couple things. You're in Triple Threat Triad territory, and we're about to put you, in the hospital." said the leader.

"You're the only ones who are gonna need a hospital and, for your sake…" began Korra before slamming her fist into her palm. "I hope there's one nearby."

"*Sigh* Well, I guess it's too late to back out." said Izuku accepting the situation.

"Who did you think you are?" asked the leader starting to get pissed off along with his two lackeys.

"Why don't you go over and find out?" asked Korra with a toothy grin and a narrowed gaze as she cracked her knuckles.

Izuku thought for a moment about helping, but he didn't know how the city would react to his Quirk.

Besides, he wanted to witness how the people of that world fought, especially Korra, the Avatar.

The leader's eye twitched a bit before he reached into his jacket and launched a water bullet that Korra caught with her hand before throwing it back at its owner, hitting the head and freezing it, encasing it in a block of ice.

The leader staggered a bit towards her before Korra kicked him aside, sending him crashing into the red satomobile, causing the ice on the head to shatter, and freeing him, albeit unconscious.

The other two men were shocked to see their boss knocked down.

The larger of them, an earthbender, turned to Korra with a scowl and lunged toward her with a shout as he prepared to make a bending attack, but Korra was quicker and raised a stone platform beneath him that launched him upward.

"What just happened?" asked the older woman from before.

"Did she just earthbend?" asked the clothesline man next to her, who was very surprised.

The earthbender fell onto a rope which pushed him against a sign, then he fell onto a tent pergola which threw him against a hanging cloth which he tried to grab onto, but the cloth broke, and he ended up falling onto a box full of fruit before falling to the ground toppled over.

The last of them, horrified to see the larger one knocked down easily, screamed in desperation as he launched a flare at Korra, but she leapt out of the fire undoing the attack in the process before grabbing her opponent's hands with her own.

"Can she waterbend, earthbend and firebend, too?" asked the older lady.

"Could she be?" asked the man beginning to understand who this girl was.

Izuku was amazed.

He knew that bending was a form of martial art, but he hadn't expected it to be that style.

He quickly pulled out a notebook he had brought with him and began to write down everything he saw, as he wanted to gather as much information as possible about the benders and their abilities.

With her hands still gripping the evil man's hands, Korra began to turn, taking the man with her and with a groan of effort, threw the man into the interior of a watch store, breaking the glass of the display window in the process.

Korra approached the downed man with a small chuckle between her teeth.

"Got an idea about who I am now, chumps?" asked Korra arrogantly.

"Korra, I don't think you should have done that." said Izuku referring to the shattered storefront.

Suddenly, the two heard an engine noise and turned to the side before turning away from the red satomobile that arrived on the scene quickly.

"Come on!" said the earthbender as the red satomobile passed by the watch store just as the firebender got up, so he started running to catch up with them.

Finally, the earthbender, erected a platform beneath him, throwing him into the back of the vehicle as he continued on his way.

Korra was about to go after them, when green sparks caught her attention, causing her to turn to see Izuku, who had activated his Quirk.

"I won't let you go!" exclaimed Izuku drawing back his fist. "Detroit Smash!" shouted Izuku throwing his fist forward, sending a blast of wind that hit the ground to the side of the satomobile just as it passed by, causing it to be sent into another tent, destroying it in the process.

"Well done, Izuku!" said Korra congratulating her friend, though he didn't look too happy about his victory.

"I-I didn't expect that to happen." said Izuku referring to the shattered tent.

Near them, the older woman and the clothesline were in shock at what they had just seen.

"That was airbending?!" asked the older woman in total shock.

Korra, Izuku and Naga arrived at the crash site to see the three mobsters fall from the downed vehicle.

Before anyone could say anything, they began to hear sirens.

They looked both ways before looking up to see a blimp above them.

"Police! Freeze where you are!" said a voice from the blimp.

Izuku didn't know why, but he had a bad feeling as he saw the police arriving.

The doors of the blimp opened and from them, three men in uniform jumped out.

In mid-fall, they threw, from their sleeves, metal ropes that dug into the walls of the street and then used them to slow their fall, allowing them to land softly.

"Wow." said Izuku impressed by the cops' acrobatic skills.

"Cool! Metalbenders!" said Korra.

When a fourth metalbender landed all the way down, they retracted the metal ropes back to their original place.

"We caught the bad guys for you, officers." said Korra pointing to the three men staggering and groaning out of the tent.

"Arrest them!" said Sergeant Saikhan as the other three policemen took a few steps forward and then threw metal ropes at the three evil men that wrapped around each of them, trapping them as they fell to the ground.

As the cops led the mobsters away, Saikhan approached the two children and pointed his finger at them.

"You're under arrest, too." said Saikhan to the shock of the Avatar and the green-haired boy who let out a gasp at that.

"Oh, no." muttered Izuku, as he knew that could happen if they acted on their own.

In their world, one couldn't perform the duty of a hero without a license, since, if he did, he would be considered a vigilante and being one was illegal, so, if caught, he would go to jail.

"What do you mean we're under arrest? Those are the bad guys over there! They were smashing up a shop!" said Korra explaining the situation.

"From the looks of it, you and your friend smashed up a lot more than that." said Saikhan referring to the stores they had trashed.

"We're really sorry about that. The situation got out of hand." said Izuku trying to reason with the policeman.

"Hmm. Maybe, but you'll both be questioned." said Saikhan before throwing a metal rope at them, but Korra stepped aside and grabbed the rope.

"Wait, you… you can't arrest us!" said Korra.

"C-Can't we talk about them?" asked Izuku trying to avoid a fight with the police.

"We will, but at the headquarters." said Saikhan before retracting his metal rope and trying to hit Korra with it, but Korra flipped backwards with a somersault.

He then tried to grab Izuku with his rope, but he activated his Quirk and quickly jumped aside.

Needless to say, the policemen were shocked by the display of the green-haired boy's power.

Before Saikhan attacked again, Naga hit him from behind with her body, pushing him to the ground.

The other policemen, seeing the situation, moved in for the attack.

Korra and Izuku jumped on Naga and began to flee.

Quickly, Naga turned to the side, allowing Korra to kick a policeman who jumped towards them before Naga continued to flee with his passengers on top of him.

One policeman threw his metal rope which became entangled in a cable and pulling it back, he lunged upwards and slid down a cable as he chased them.

He tried to hit them with two metal ropes, but Naga dodged in time, causing them to hit the ground.

Soon after, Naga turned a corner in time to dodge another pair of metal ropes, though they slipped a bit in the process before continuing their escape.

Seeing that the cop was about to catch up to them, Izuku decided to lend a hand and wrapped an arm around Korra's body.

"Hold on tight, Korra!" exclaimed Izuku.

Even though she didn't know what he was going to do, Korra trusted him, so she grabbed onto Naga with her arms.

Izuku activated his Quirk and pointed his other arm back while putting pressure on two of his fingers.

"Delaware Smash!" shouted Izuku releasing the fingers, launching a huge blast of air that was used as propellant to send them flying far away like a cannonball.

Both children let out a scream as they were airborne before Korra acted quickly to create, with her earthbending, a platform that allowed them to land softly before the polar bear dog continued running, with the cops on her back.

Suddenly, as they crossed a bridge, a policeman jumped from a rooftop and threw metal ropes that tangled in Korra's top ponytail, making her whimper in pain from the pull, but quickly raised the river water and froze it to form a wall of ice, against which the policeman crashed, causing Korra to break free of the rope.

Korra and Izuku glanced back to see the policeman who had crashed into the ice wall slide to the ground.

After that, they turned their attention to the front.

Naga ran up some stairs until he reached a bridge, forcing a satomobile to stop in the process.

Naga continued running as her two passengers looked to the side to see two policemen sliding down the wires.

"We have to get out of here!" said Izuku.

"Get ready, Izuku!" said Korra before pulling Naga's reins to the side, causing her to run to the edge of the bridge and jump off it just as a train passed underneath.

Fortunately, they were able to land perfectly, and both let out a sigh of relief that they managed to escape before turning their gaze towards Air Temple Island.

"If we make it to the island, maybe Tenzin can help us." said Izuku.

"You're right." began Korra before hearing the sirens and looking up. "That is if we can get rid of them."

Izuku turned his gaze upward to see the police airship flying above them.

Korra tugged on Naga's reins and the polar bear dog started running down the train and jumped towards another building, but no sooner had she landed on the roof than several metal ropes wrapped around Naga's paws and lifted her into the air.

Before Korra or Izuku could try anything, a pair of metal ropes wrapped around them to restrain their arms.

They tried to free themselves from their bonds for a while until, at last, they gave up, realizing that they had been captured.

At the Republic City police station, where there was a statue of Toph Beifong, the founder of the force and former chief of police, Korra and Izuku were handcuffed on a table in an interrogation room.

Izuku was completely nervous, as he had only been in town for half a day and had already been arrested by the police.

Normally, in that kind of situation, they would call his parents to pick him up, as he was a minor.

However, he wasn't from that world, so he didn't know what would become of him.

Fortunately, a hand rested on his and he turned his head to see Korra giving him a reassuring smile.

That was enough to calm the green-haired boy down a bit, since at least he had her by his side.

Shortly after, the doors to the courtroom opened and an older grey haired woman with a couple of scars on her right cheek walked in with a filing cabinet in her hand and from her expression, she didn't look happy at all.

"Let's see. Multiple counts of destruction of private and city property, not to mention evading arrest…" the older woman said as she walked behind them before slamming the filing cabinet down on the table, startling them in the process. "You're in a whole mess of trouble, young people."

"W-We're so sorry. We just wanted to help." said Izuku feeling a bit flustered by the look on the woman's face that, in a way, reminded him a bit of Aizawa.

"That's right, there were some thugs threatening a helpless shopkeeper, and we had it..." began Korra trying to explain again.

"Can it! You should have called the police and stayed out of the way." said the older woman stepping to the front of the table.

"That's what I suggested, but she decided to act." said Izuku.

"Hey, whose side are you on?" asked Korra.

"In that case, you should have stopped her instead of getting involved as well." said the older woman, making the green-haired boy more nervous.

"But we couldn't just sit by and do nothing. It's my duty to help people. See, I'm the Avatar." said Korra revealing her status.

"Oh, I am well aware of who you are. And your Avatar title might impress some people, but not me." said the older woman with her arms crossed.

"B-But isn't the Avatar above the police? I mean, her predecessors were heroes." said Izuku.

"First, NO ONE is above the police, and second, that's a thing of the past." said Lin.

"All right, fine. Then I want to talk to whoever's in charge." said Korra.

"You're talking to her." revealed the older woman as she sat down across from them. "I'm Chief Beifong."

While Izuku's nerves increased as he saw that they were in front of the boss, Korra seemed surprised by something.

"Wait, Beifong? Lin Beifong? You're Toph's daughter!" said Korra surprised at the revelation.

"Wait, Toph Beifong? The blind earthbender who helped Avatar Aang save the world? Are you her daughter?" asked Izuku in surprise.

During their stay at the compound, Korra told him everything she knew about the girl who belonged to a noble family, but gave it all up to go on adventures with Aang and his friends, as well as fight the Fire Nation.

Izuku was amazed to learn about a girl who, despite being blind, was very powerful to the point where she created metalbending.

"What of it?" asked Lin.

"Well then, why are you treating me like a criminal? Avatar Aang and your mother were friends. They saved the world together." said Korra remembering the stories of the previous Avatar.

"That's ancient history. And it's got diddly-squat to do with the mess you're in right now. You can't just waltz in here and dole out vigilante justice like you own the place!" said Lin.

"I know. Vigilantism is frowned upon where I'm from, but still, I couldn't stand by while there was someone in trouble." said Izuku.

Before they could continue talking, a part of the wall opened to reveal another policeman behind.

"Chief, Councilman Tenzin is here." the policeman reported.

"Let him in." said Lin before getting up.

Then, the wall opened from side to side, allowing Tenzin to enter the room and from the look on his face, he wasn't happy to see them.

"H-Hello, master Tenzin. I-It's been a long time." said Izuku very nervously.

"Sorry… I got a little sidetracked on my way to see you." said Korra trying to sound innocent, but to no avail.

With a deep inhale to reduce his annoyance, Tenzin turned to see Lin with a smile.

"Lin, you are looking radiant as usual." said Tenzin greeting an old friend.

"Cut the garbage, Tenzin. Why is the Avatar in Republic City? I thought you were supposed to be moving down to the South Pole to train her." said Lin.

"My relocation has been delayed." said Tenzin before shooting an angry and disappointed look at the two children, who lowered their heads at that. "The Avatar and his friend, on the other hand, will be heading back to the South Pole immediately, where they will stay put."

"What?" asked Izuku in surprise.

"But...!" began Korra trying to explain, but was interrupted and ignored.

"If you would be so kind as to drop the charges against them, I will take full responsibility for today's regrettable events and cover all the damages." said Tenzin.

Lin glanced over her shoulder at the two children.

As much as she wanted to teach them a lesson by locking them in a cell for a night, she couldn't refuse her old friend's offer.

She turned her gaze back to the airbender and let out a small sigh.

"Fine." said Lin using her bend ability to espouse Korra and Izuku without even looking. "Get them out of my city."

"Always a pleasure, Lin. Let's go, kids." said Tenzin walking out of the room with Korra and Izuku behind him as they rubbed their wrists together.

Lin threw the Avatar a two-fingered 'I'm watching you' gesture, a gesture Korra gave her, much to the confusion of the police chief and Izuku.

Later, Korra, Izuku and Tenzin were in a waiting room, where Korra was trying to keep them from sending her and her friend back to the complex.

"Tenzin, please, don't send us back home." said Korra.

"You can't do that." said Izuku.

"You blatantly disobeyed my wishes and the orders of the White Lotus." said Tenzin.

"But Katara agreed with me that Izuku and me should come. She said my destiny is in Republic City and that Izuku could help me." said Korra.

"Don't bring my mother into this!" exclaimed Tenzin with an angry red face.

"Master Tenzin, I know you are trying to help Korra become a great Avatar, but locking her up in that complex won't help her much. In order for her to become one, she has to experience the outside world, know what she's up against and learn along the way." Izuku said.

"That's right, if I want to be the Avatar the world needs, I can't wait any longer to finish my training. We saw a lot of the city today, and it's totally out of whack. I understand now why you need to stay. Republic City does need you. But it needs me and maybe Izuku too." said Korra as the airbender stroked his beard.

"You… ah..." began Tenzin unable to find a counter argument to Korra's argument.

Before anyone else said anything...

"Is this your polar bear dog, miss?" said a guard with Naga at his side as she held the leash.

That same night, on a ship bound for Air Temple Island, Korra and Izuku were leaning on the railing as they gazed at the night lights of the city, but while Izuku was in awe of the city's brilliance, Korra was still worried about the fact that she was going back to the complex.

"I understand why my mother told me you were special, Izuku." said green-haired startled and turned to see Tenzin approaching him. "Especially after the display you put on for my children."

"D-Did you see it?" asked Izuku surprised to learn that the airbender was watching when he showed his power to his children.

"Yes and that makes me wonder, how are you able to do that?" asked Tenzin.

"W-Well, it's a long story." said Izuku.

"I'm sure I'd love to hear it, as would the members of the White Lotus." said Tenzin.

As nervous as he was about telling the airbender and the White Lotus elders about coming from another world, there was one topic he wanted to talk to him about without fail.

"Tenzin, do you really have to send her back?" asked Izuku.

"I'm sorry, but it's the only way to protect her." said Tenzin.

"Protect her from what? The world or herself?" asked Izuku to the airbender's surprise. "Even if I came back, sooner or later she will escape again. If you keep her there, she will only learn what you want instead of what she really needs, and she can only learn that here. I don't want to question the rules of the White Lotus, but she has to be the Avatar she really is instead of the one you want her to be."

Tenzin was taken aback by the green-haired boy's words.

Even though he didn't know him very well, he could see in his eyes a strong determination and that he had been through something like this before.

He then turned his gaze to the statue of his father, Avatar Aang.

He remembered that he was just an inexperienced child, both in bending skills and in the world, but that didn't stop him from getting to know his mother and his friends and it didn't stop him from getting to save the world and found a city where everyone was welcome.

He then turned his gaze to Korra and Izuku who were looking out over the city again with Naga sleeping near them and began to think about whether he was really doing the right thing.

Finally, after a while of waiting, they arrived at the island, where, on the other side of the harbor, was a larger ship, with three White Lotus guards waiting at the entrance.

Korra, saddened by the situation, made her way to the ship with Izuku at her side.

Just then the three noticed Tenzin's children flying in their gliders towards them and landing on the ground shortly after.

"Korra! Izuku!" shouted the three children going to hug the two children.

"Are you coming to live with us on the island?" asked Ikki before Korra knelt down to their full height.

"No, I'm sorry, Ikki. I have to go home." said Korra.

"Oh..." groaned the children in disappointment.

Tenzin stood with his children watching as Korra, Izuku and Naga made their way to the ship.

But when they were halfway there...

"Wait. I have done my best to guide Republic City toward the dream my father had for it, but you're right. It has fallen out of balance since he passed. I thought I should put off your training in order to uphold his legacy, but you are his legacy. You may stay and train airbending here with me. Republic City needs its Avatar once again." said Tenzin bringing a big smile to the Avatar.

"Yes! Thank you! You're the best!" said Korra with great joy as the airbender turned his gaze to the green-haired boy.

"As for you, Izuku, I can see that you will be a great partner for Korra. I imagine it would be impossible to separate you two now, so you may as well stay here with us." said Tenzin.

Izuku smiled seeing that he was going to be able to stay with them.

"Thank you very much, master Tenzin. I won't let you down." said Izuku bowing in thanks.

The young airbenders began to cheer in joy and happiness.

Korra was so happy that she brought Izuku, Tenzin and their children in a group hug and Naga rubbed her head on Korra's back, much to everyone's amusement, except for Tenzin who wasn't sure how that would all turn out.

Since he was going to stay on the island for a while, Izuku decided to tell Tenzin and his family about the fact that he came from another world and that his power was known as Quirk.

At first, they were shocked by the fact of the existence of more worlds, but then, the young airbenders became very interested in the fact that in that world there were various powers beyond the control of the elements.

Izuku spent part of the evening answering their questions, even telling them about several of the heroes in their world, also showing them the images on his cell phone.

By the time, the explanations were over, the young airbenders had begun to feel admiration for various heroes.

Meelo was interested in the heroes that, to him, were the strongest and coolest, such as Gang Orca and Endeavour, the current number one hero.

Ikki was interested in beautiful and strong heroines like Ryukyu and Mirko.

Jinora was interested in stylish and stunning heroes like Best Jeanist and Hawks.

But if there was one hero the three of them admired more than any other, it was undoubtedly the former number one hero, All Might.

The next day, in front of Republic City's city hall, several people, including journalists, gathered for the main topic of conversation, the arrival of the Avatar.

Korra stood behind a podium full of microphones, looking at all the people who had come while being bombarded by the photographers' flashbulbs.

On one side, there was Tenzin and Izuku, and on the other side was Naga and Lin.

Korra was a little nervous, but as she looked to her side, she saw Izuku giving her a supportive nod with a smile which Korra returned as she cast her nerves aside.

Korra cleared her throat a little as she approached the mikes.

"I'm Korra, your new Avatar." said Korra introducing herself to the audience and listeners as the crowd cheered.

"Does this mean you've moved to Republic City?" asked a reporter.

"Were you trying to send a message to the Triads yesterday?" asked another journalist.

"Will you be fighting crime or the Anti-bending Revolution, or both?" asked another journalist.

"Will you be working with Chief Beifong and the police?" asked another journalist.

Needless to say, Lin looked very annoyed by that question, as the last thing she wanted was a teenage girl, or the Avatar, in her police force.

"Yes, I am definitely here to stay, but honestly I… I don't exactly have a plan yet. See, I'm still in training, but look, all I know is Avatar Aang meant for this city to be the center of peace and balance in the world, and I believe we can make his dream a reality, but I won't be doing it alone. Let me introduce you to my partner, Deku." said Korra pointing her arm at Izuku, using his name of hero in the process.

Izuku felt a little nervous as the gazes of all the spectators turned towards him accompanied by some photos.

Putting his nerves aside, he approached the podium as Korra stepped aside a bit to give him space.

"H-Hello everyone. I-I'm Deku, Avatar Korra's partner." said Izuku introducing himself.

"Is it true that you can bend the air?" asked a reporter.

"Are you perhaps a long-lost descendant of some airbender or a secret son of Tenzin?" asked another reporter.

"WHAT?!" asked Tenzin with his face red with anger at such a ridiculous and stupid assumption.

Lin let out a small laugh at the airbender's expression.

"N-No, it's nothing like that. It's just that I have a power that increases my strength to enormous scales." said Izuku before taking a deep breath to calm down a bit. "I may be from a faraway land, and this may not be my city, but I'll be sure to help the Avatar in any way I can to protect the people of this city. Everything will be fine. Do you know why?" asked Izuku, receiving confused looks from the audience. "Because we're here!" exclaimed Izuku with a toothy grin and raising his fist.

Korra smiled at the last thing the green-haired boy said before standing next to him on the podium.

"We look forward to serving you!" said Korra as the photographers started snapping more pictures.

Inside some building somewhere in the city, several people were listening to Korra's speech on the radio.

"We're so happy to be here. Thank you, Republic City!" exclaimed Korra from the other side of the broadcast.

"All right, that's all the questions." said Tenzin from the radio before someone turned it off.

"Amon, how do you want to handle this?" asked a guy in a suit, glasses and mustache to a man who was holding his hands behind his back while his back was turned to him.

"So, the Avatar has arrived early. It looks like we'll have to accelerate our plans." said Amon as he turned his head, allowing us to see that he was wearing a mask covering his face.

See you in the next chapter!
