Hey you Guys! So yeah, I know it's been forever since a chapter for The Dragon Guardian to the Princess of Mewni went up, but a lot of things came up. Like new story ideas, E3, collaboration story stuff etc. But today, I'm happy to bring you guys a chapter since things are a little be less getting thrown at me. Now just to let you all know, I'll be skipping episodes of S3 that are not plot related so we'll be skipping Trial by Squire. However, episodes that I skip will be referenced. Also, the chapter will playout differently than the episode, just a heads up to you guys.

Chapter 4: Marco Turdina's Flaming Degree
If Scarlet could use any word to describe Marco right now, it would have to be… hilarious. Currently, she was in a carriage with Star, her friend Princess Pony Head and Marco who was currently having make up put on his face and was wearing a purple dress with a wig the same color as his hair but longer and done up into a pony tail.
Previously, Star, Marco and Scarlet had been relaxing after Star had taken the two to Quest Buy for the annual Squire Blow out sale they were having. Scarlet had said she up pass and stay in the crystal while Star and Marco had their fun. Everything seemed fine at first from what Scarlet saw, Marco even seemed to be friends with a fellow squire named Higgs, a girl around his and Star's age wearing a blue tunic with red spiked shoulder pads, a red belt, white pants, red thigh-length boots, and pale yellow elbow-length armbands. She had short orange hair, green eyes, and freckles, which Scarlet admitted to Marco gave her the makings of being a good rival for him. However, that soon turned out to not be the case, as Higgs ruddily said that she didn't see Marco as a real squire. That comment prompted Scarlet to manifest out of the crystal in a burst of flames that surprised both Marco and Higgs. If Marco and Star hadn't talked her down, Scarlet would have reduced the orange-haired girl to ashes. Scarlet then chose to stay with Star and Marco for the rest of the sale, much to Star's joy and Marco's worry.
For the rest of the sale, Marco had to make sure Scarlet didn't lose her cool whenever Higgs or the other squires messed with him, while also shopping with Star and getting the things that were on his list. The thing that lit the fire in Scarlet was when Marco and Higgs were racing to see who could get the last bottle of armor polish. Higgs had sabotaged the wheels of Star and Marco's cart, causing the pair to thankfully crash in a rack of stuffed gnome dolls. This didn't make Scarlet any less infuriated as both her fists started glowing orange and small rocks circled around them. She then slammed both her fists into the ground, causing sharp stalagmites to burst from the ground that caused the other squire and their knights to trip or fall into one another.
Scarlet was surprised that she had yet again discovered another ability and a satisfied when she saw Higgs sprawled out on the ground as she used her tail and grabbed the bottle of armor wash. But after Star and Marco had dug themselves out and saw what she did, Star was about say something, until she saw Marco go over and take the polish from her and give it to Higgs who turned out was pretending to be hurt as she ran off with her knight to the checkout station. Marco asked Scarlet why she did that, when she knows she could have seriously hurt someone? Scarlet said she only intended to knock Higgs down a peg or two since she saw how hard Marco was trying not to let her get to him. This resulted in the two of them starting to argue until Star came over and calmed them both down. After which she told Scarlet that she and Marco just wanted to hangout and didn't care what the others knights and squires thought. Scarlet then apologized for ruining the duo's shopping to which they said it was okay; and Marco said he was sorry for arguing with her. Scarlet then got an idea and grabbed Star and Marco with her tail as she picked up a stray shopping cart.
Later, the three arrived at the checkout station, satisfied with a cart full of unusual and strange objects. With Star wearing a palm tree costume and Marco wearing a goofy looking hat with women's sunglasses and some strange looking fur snake around his neck. Scarlet had several different colored flags hanging from her tail and four red and yellow wrist bands on her arms and legs.
'I still can't believe how ridiculous we looked.' Scarlet thought as she laughed quietly to herself.
"Hey Scarlet," Star said rousing her red-haired look alike from her thoughts. "You okay? You've been really quiet over there?" "Oh yeah, I'm fine Star. Just remembering something funny is all." Scarlet said. "So how'd Marco- I mean Turdina turn out?"
"See for yourself girl," Pony Head said indicating Scarlet to look next to her.
Scarlet then turned her head to Marco and she instantly doubled over laughing as she saw Marco had eye shadow, bright red lipstick and pick blush on his face.
"Holy! Hahahaha! Looking good there. Are you Turdina?" Scarlet said as she in between her laughing.
"Okay, so if you done laughing now, how earth turd looking?" Pony Head asked. "Haha, okay, I'm good. Now, I think Marco honestly look very pretty." Scarlet said looking Marco over.
"Oh no," Marco said as he covered his face while also smudging his makeup.
"What's the matter? You don't like it?" Star asked. "No, I know I look amazing," He started with and could already hear Scarlet snickering in his head through their soul link. 'Shut up,' he said through the link to her before continuing. "It's just… ugh. I can't go back to Saint Olga's like this. I gotta come clean and tell the truth." He said as he used his dress the clean makeup off his face.
"So that's it," Scarlet said. "Well I don't see the any reason why you can't- "
"Oh no, you can't do that." Pony Head said interrupting Scarlet. "And why can't he do that?" "Cause if those girls find out he's been lying about being a princess, they will destroy him." "You mean like verbally destroy him or physically destroy him?" Scarlet asked the floating horse head. "Hmm, don't know S-Fly. Maybe both if they get really want to destroy him." Pony said as Star and Marco looked at her and Scarlet with confused looks.
"S-Fly?" Marco asked. "Pony? When did you start calling Scarlet that?" Star asked her friend.
"Oh, not too long girl," Pony said. "like right after you introduced her when I came to get you and Marco." "Yeah, me and Pony here talked for a bit, and we just hit it off pretty well. Plus, she said she'd take me to this dimension that has some clothes that look amazing after Marco's Turdina thing." Scarlet said. "Heck girl! Trust me, you will love that place." "Okay then, just can't believe how much has changed since I've been asleep."
"I can't believe the princesses there want to give me an Honorary Degree." Marco said as he pulled out a paper from his dress that read,
'We the Princesses of Saint Olga's school for doing just fine princesses, invite you, Princess Marco Turdina, to receive an Honorary Degree.
"I know I inspired a generation and everything, but I can't be lying!"
"Well then just tell them the truth and explain things to them, and hope they understand and appreciate your honest." Scarlet said as she patted Marco on the back.
"Yeah Marco, just do what Scarlet said and I'm confident the other princesses will understand." Star said in agreement.
"Okay, I'll try." Marco said.
"Whatever, just hope they don't run you through with a pitch fork." Pony Head said which earned her a narrowed eyed look from Star and her red-headed look alike. "What? I'm just saying is all, dang."
The carriage then suddenly came to a stop, throwing Marco and Scarlet into Star and Pony Head.
"Oh! I know this fool did not just do that!" Pony said as she went out to shout at the driver for why they suddenly stopped.
"Where the heck did this driver learn to work a carriage!? Ugh, sorry about that Star, you oaky?" Scarlet asked as she climbed off of the blonde mewmna girl. "Yeah, I'm fine." Star said as she removed the red-head's tail from her face. "Actually I'm surprised by how smooth the scales on your tail are." She said as her hand glided across her friend's tail, liking the smooth feeling.
Scarlet quickly threw her tail away from Star and hugged it close to her while her cheeks turned as red as her hair.
"Alright, that's enough petting my tail please!" Scarlet said as she hugged her tail closer.
"Ooooh," Star said as a smirk soon appeared on her face. "I think I just found your weakness, Scarlet." She said with a knowing look in her eyes. "You… really like it when someone pats your tail." Star said as Scarlet's cheeks were about the same color as her name's sake.
"You do? Wow, so if I tried to pet your tail right now," Marco asked playfully as Scarlet kept a grip on her tail while Star was holding back her laughter.
Before Scarlet could attempt to dispute the fact about her tail, Pony Head came flying back inside the carriage.
"Hey guys, so I was about to let loose on this cornhead of a driver we got, but it turns out he stopped cause we're here." She said before seeing how red Scarlet's face was. "Whoa, what happened with you girl? Your face is a red as your hair or Marco's hoodie."
"Nothing! Nothing happened! You said we were here right? Then let's just Marco out there to do his Turdina thing!" Scarlet said as she quickly mover passed Pony Head and out of the carriage.
Pony Head looked back at Star and Marco and saw the smirks on their faces.
"Alright, whatever dirt you two got on S-Fly, you better tell me every detail of it later. Now come on," she said as she floated back out of the carriage.
After getting Marco un-stuck from the carriage and allowing him to sign some things and take a few selfies with his adoring fans, he, Star, Pony Head and Scarlet were being lead the school by Princess Arms, a girl with four arms.
"Okay, so we've seen princesses taking their brunch finales," the four armed princess said.
"Still don't get that by the way." Scarlet said to herself as their guide continued speaking.
"paid a visit to the schools whispering gardens, and I've shown you guys where we hold our party classes. So are you all ready to see the most important place of the school?" she said as she leads the four to a pair of double doors. When she opens them, they are greeted to a large hallway filled with portraits, T-shirts, dolls, and posters, all with depictions of Turdina. "Welcome to the Hallway of Turdina."
"Holy crap! Would you look at all this stuff!" Scarlet said as she, Star, Pony Head and Marco looked on in astonishment at everything. "Turdina: The Turdening?" Scarlet asked confused.
"Oh, that's a portrait for Turdina's movie." Princess Arms explained as the red-headed girl had to use an enormous amount of will power to not fall to the ground laughing. So she settled for mentally teasing the "Princess" she was boned to.
'A Turdina movie? Oh my gosh, I really should thank whatever fate gave me the chance to be linked to you Marco!' she mentally said to the boy as she laughed. 'Glad You're enjoying this, meanwhile I just have to hope I don't get tore apart by these girls when I tell them the truth.' He thought back in worry. 'Okay, relax Marco.' The dragon girl said to the panicking boy. 'It's only just a couple of posters and shirts, it's not like their giving you a statue or anything.' 'I guess you're right.'
Just as Marco was about to relax about telling the princesses the truth, a princess with pale green skin, scales and webbed feet came running in saying "Oh my Gosh! It's here! It's here!"
"What's here?" Marco asked confused before he was dragged out by the excited princess to the courtyard with Star, Pony and Scarlet quickly following them. Once they got there, they looked up at what was in front of them. While Star and Pony Head's faces had the same look of utter surprise, Marco and Scarlet's faces had different expressions. Right in front of them was a statue of Princess Turdina with her arm raised in a show of victory.
'That's… a statue… of me.' Marco mentally told Scarlet in a deadpan voice. 'Me and my big mouth.' The red headed girl said mentally berating herself. 'What now? I mean they gave me a statue for crying out loud here!' 'Yeah. Geez, I wonder how they went through to get it done?' Scarlet thought and was about to receive an answer when a Bull princess came up to Marco.
"Do you like it, Princess Turdina?" she asked. "It took us all year to save up enough to have it made."
"We cleaned toilets on weekends for extra cash." A two-headed princess said coming up next to the bull princess.
"Yeah, but it was worth it. Because you taught us another way to live." Princess Arms said as the other princesses cheered and clapped for Marco.
"Hey, hey! It's time for a group selfie in front of this statue!" Princess Smooshy, a heavy-set creature with lavender skin, warts, a long elephant-trunk-like nose, and a large under bite, said as she and several other princesses pulled Marco away from Scarlet, Star and Pony Head. As he was being pulled he mouthed "Help me" to them before he was out of sight.
"Okay, so do either of you have any ideas to help Marco?" Scarlet asked.
"Girl what are you talking about?" Pony Head said. "That boy looked like he was enjoying himself to me."
"Pony, didn't you see Marco sweating with nervousness?" Star said. "Nah B-Fly, that was him sweating from all the praise these princesses were given him."
"How do you sweat from praise!?" Scarlet asked shaking her head. "Did you not see him mouth "Help me" as they dragged him off?"
"That's what he was doing? I thought that he was doing an impression of a fish or something." Pony said as Star and Scarlet sighed in exasperation. "Oh come you guys, this the first time Earth Turd's been popular, give him a minute to enjoy it a bit, yeah?" Pony Head said as she flew off to catch up with the other princesses.
"You think Marco's going to be alright?" Star asked Scarlet. "Honestly, I'm not too sure Star. There's not much we can do; I mean these girls worship the ground Marco walks on." Scarlet said. "For now, let's just make sure to be there to help in case anything goes south when Marco tells them the truth, okay?"
"Right," Star said as she saw Scarlet hold her fist out to Star. "Oh… yeah, I'm not really good with that fist… punching thing." "You mean a fist bump." Scarlet said. "I can show you, just make a fist with your right hand."
Star did as Scarlet said and made her right hand into a fist.
"Now just raise it up to my fist and keep it there." "Okay," Star said as she lifted her right fist to meet Scarlet's. "Okay, now… boom." Scarlet said as she lightly tapped her fist against Star's. "Ooooh, that's how you do it. Oh! Let me try now!" Star said happily as she tapped her fist against Scarlet's. "Yes! Now I know how to do!" "Never know someone who was excited to learn how to fist bump." Scarlet said. "Yeah well, the last time I tried to do it was when Marco… and Jackie were –" "Oh, yeah; not a memory I liked seeing." "Oh right, forgot you kind of looked at Marco's memories since you two are-" Star got cut off by the sound of loud cheering.
"Sounds like Marco's ceremony is starting. We better get over." Scarlet said. "Right, maybe us being there will help Marco be able to tell them the truth." Star said. "Yeah, it might. Then let's get going." Scarlet said as she and Star made their way to the ceremony.
After a very… interesting interpretive dance by Princess Gwendolyn, Princess Arms walks on stage with a microphone.
"Thanks you Princess Gwendolyn for that… lovely dance. And now everyone, the moment you've all been waiting for. The women herself, Princess Marco Turdina!"
The curtains on stage then open to revel Marco aka Princess Turdina as he walks out onto the stage and waves to his fans with a smile on his face. Albeit a nervous one.
'Oh Geez, alright, here we go.' Marco thought as he tried to relax himself as he made his way to the podium.
"It is with great honor, that I present to you, this honorary St. Olga's degree." Princess Arms said as she handed Marco a plaque with the words St. Olga's Degree with stickers on it.
"Thank you, thank you very much for this." He said as the crowd cheered. He then walked up to the podium's microphone and raised his hand to signal the princesses to quiet down.
"My fellow princesses, I would like to congratulate you all on this wonderful school." He said. But before he could say anything else, he felt his crystal pulse, followed by a voice he was glad to hear in his head.
'Marco, you holding up alright?' Scarlet said within the boy's mind. 'Kind of, for once I'm actually glad to hear a voice in my head.' He said relieved.
'Aww Marco, that's nice of you to say.' A third familiar voice said.
'Wait, Star!? How are you also -' 'Look in the crowd Marco.' Star said.
Marco glanced into the crowd and saw Star and Scarlet standing next to Pony Head. But when he looked closer, he saw that Scarlet had the end of her tail wrapped around Star's left hand.
'Neat huh? Scarlet said that I can talk to you in your head too as long as I'm touching her.' Star said. 'If that's the case, then why not just put your hand on her shoulder?' Marco said. 'Good question, which I'll ask later.' Scarlet said. 'So how do you want to handle this Marco?' 'I'm not sure, I don't know how they're going take it when I tell them.' 'Then… just tell them and hope they understand like me and Star told you before.' Scarlet said.
'She's right Marco,' Star said. 'Your most orderly and rule abiding person that I know, and you're also the most honest too. Just be like were when you inspired these girls the first time and I'm sure they'll understand.' 'you guys think so?' 'We know so.' Star and Scarlet said confidently.
Marco smiled a bit as he felt the two's presence leave his mind.
'Okay, just be honest with them. Alright.' He said psyching himself up before he spoke.
"Now I know a lot of you see me as an idol, but really, all of you are my idol. You don't let anyone force you to be something you're not, showing your true colors and loving the person you are." He said as the crowd cheered. "I'm proud to have inspired you all to be brave, even when it's scary. And when being true to yourself… might mean disappointing thousands of people." Marco said as he looked within the crowd at Star and Scarlet. "That's why… I have to tell you the truth." He said as he took a quick breath. "I Princess Marco Turdina, am a bo- "
Suddenly the sound of a chainsaw going cut Marco off as a portal appeared in the sky. A car that had a headless torso holding a chainsaw with it's one arm on its hood, soon came out of the portal and crash landed right on the stage.
"Oh no," Star said.
"Star, please tell me that car does not belong to who I think it belongs to." Scarlet said already dreading the obvious answer.
Soon a short troll-like person with a single, glowing yellow eye comes out of the car and walks over to the passenger's side and opens the door, were a woman with messy white hair and wearing a tattered purple dress steps out.
"It's Miss Heinous!" someone in the crowed shouts in fear.
"Princess Turdina is a fraud!" she says smiling darkly at Marco. "And I have the evidence to prove it!" she said as she pulled out a tape. "That's right, I watched your video and saw your dark secret."
"You mean that phony confession I did?" Marco said. "Go head and show them, it's not even really."
"Your right, it's not." Heinous said. "But this! Is real!"
Heinous then tugs down Marco's dress collar reveling Marco's single chest hair, shocking the crowd.
"Yes! Turdina isn't a princess! She's a boy!" Heinous announced which shocked the crowd even more.
"Whatever! That doesn't prove anything, princesses can be hairy?" someone in the crowd yelled.
"Yeah! We believe in you Turdina!"
"No, she's right." Marco said which made Star and Scarlet smile at his honesty. "I lied to you all," he said as he pulled off his dress and wig. Reveling his regular clothes. "I am a boy." He said which further surprised the princesses.
'Okay, so their all defiantly surprised, but at least no one's thrown anything at you Marco.' Star said as she spoke through the boy's mind again. 'I thought Pony said he'd have to worry about getting impaled, Star.' Scarlet said joining in.
'Guys… not helping here.' Marco said.
"This princesses, is why you need me running Saint Olga's." Heinous said. "Look where all this freedom got you. Living in filth and champing a "Hero" who's been lying to you all along." She said point accusingly at Marco.
As Scarlet heard everything Miss Heinous said, she winced when she felt a slight pain shoot through her head. Star and Pony Head noticed when they heard the girl hiss in discomfort.
"Hey, Scarlet what's wrong?" Star said. "Yeah girl what's wrong? You ears hurting from hearing Heinous talk too much? Cause I know mine are starting to." Pony said.
Scarlet didn't respond to either Star or Pony, as she clenched her eyes shut due to the pain she was feeling. Images of burning homes, people running in terror and fear, countless kingdoms fighting, assaulted her mind.
"What… what is this?" she said as the images flashed before her eyes.
The last image she saw was of a boy and a girl running into a forest before it soon erupted into flames.
"No… nononoonono!" she yelled.
Scarlet's eyes then flew open when she felt someone stroking her tail gently. She looked and saw that Star was the one running her hand along her tail.
"Yo B-Fly, you were right. S-Fly here calmed down real fast when you started rubbing her tail." Pony Head said as Star stopped rubbing Scarlet's tail.
"Are you okay, Scarlet?" Star asked concerned. "It looked like your head was really hurting, since you didn't say anything when me and Pony were talking to you."
"I'm… I'm fine. Thanks Star." Scarlet said as she massaged her temples.
"Girl, you must really not like the sound of Heinous's voice. Believe me girl, everyone here feels the same way." Pony Head said.
"Heinous," Scarlet said as she looked towards the stage at Miss Heinous as she formed her left hand into a fist.
"Henceforward you must reinstate me as your school master." Miss Heinous said. "You need me and I – "
"You need to go back to whatever dark hole you crawled your way out of!" A voice shouted shutting up Miss Heinous and surprising everyone.
"How Rude! Of all the! Who said that!?" Heinous yelled.
"I did, you old bat!"
The crowd of princesses parted allowing Miss Heinous to see Scarlet, who's yellow eyes were glaring fearlessly at her.
"And just who might you be, you disrespectful young lady?" "That is none of your business." Scarlet said as she made her way onto the stage and passed Marco. "Let me handles this," She whispered to the boy as she passed him and stood in front of Miss Heinous.
"You... are the absolute worst thing that these princesses need." Scarlet shouted.
"How dare you say that to me!" Heinous growled. "These girls need structure and proper direction, look where following "Turdina" here has lead them?"
"So you think that's means they need their right to choose what they do, striped from them!?" Scarlet shouted. "So what if Marco lied, the things he told these girls were the truth. They have the right to live they want to live, not have their personalities locked away by someone who's in power!" Scarlet said as Heinous glared at her.
"She's right!" Princess Arms said stepping out of the crowd. "What does it matter if he's a boy, nothing he said was wrong!"
"Yeah, he can think for himself and so can we!" "He can be a princess if he wants to!" several other princesses said agreeing with what Scarlet said.
"Turdina's a state of mind!" Princess Arms shouted with all the other princesses shouting along with her.
"Silence! I said silence!" Heinous shouted until a water balloon hit her in the face.
Scarlet and Marco looked along with everyone and saw that Star was the one who threw it.
"Ooooh, I just got her… right in the face!" Star said happily.
"Good throw Star!" Scarlet said.
"Come on girls!" Pony Head shouted as she and the other princesses rushed the stage as they threw more water balloons at Heinous and Gemini.
"Get in the car! Quick!" Heinous shouted in panic as she and Gemini hopped back into the car and drove it back into the portal which vanished as it did.
Afterwards the princesses celebrated with a huge party and danced while Star, Marco, and Scarlet sat on the stage and watched.
"Well, looks like Turdina's gone forever." Marco said relived.
"Yeah, because you took her away from us, you selfish monster!" Pony yelled as rainbow tears ran down her face while Scarlet rolled her eyes.
"You look like you can breathe a lot easier now Marco." Star said. "Yeah, mostly because I'm out of that dress. Phew, that corset was killing me." Marco said.
"You were wearing an actually corset underneath that thing?" Scarlet said. "I… am at a loss for words now."
"Speaking of words girl," Pony Head said. "Where'd those words you hurled at Heinous's face come from?"
"Yeah Scarlet, where did all that come from?" Marco asked. "The way you were talking to Heinous, it made you sound just like Marco when he first started out like Turdina." Star said.
"I… don't really know." Scarlet said. "It just… when I heard Heinous saying that freewill should be locked away, it… just made my blood start boiling all of a sudden. Then the next thing I know I just said what needed to be said."
"Well whatever you did girl, made you just as popular as Earth Turd here. Check it out," Pony said.
Star, Marco and Scarlet looked and saw a couple of posters with Scarlet on them begin put up right next to Marco's Turdina ones.
"Oh you've got to be kidding me." Scarlet said as Star and Marco snickered. "I swear if I get called back for a degree by these girls, it will be too soon."
"Well, the plus side is that you're actually a girl." Marco said.
"Yeah! Plus, you'll have me, Marco and Pony to back you up." Star said raising her fist to Scarlet. Scarlet then smiled as she bumped her fist with Star's.
