12: Chains from our failed past...

So we finally reached at this conclusion.

Though I had always known with my intuition.

But now, no one can get in my way.

With my plans, I won't allow anyone to play.

Facing the opposition of only that ex-teammate,

I will gain victory without much wait.

Sadly, at this point..I cant let my decisions sway.

And yet my life went into rewind.

An old memory flashed in my mind:

No! I can't let you interfere, I admit.

Because this time, we won't be holding back

and you'll only get hurt amidst our attacks.

So I forced myself to dirty my hands with a crime

that would lurk in my nightmares all the time.

I had spoken, utilising my skills at faking,

"You really are damned annoying."

And caught your gaze to give you a view

of my eyes' piercing genjutsu,

making you fall into a sleep so warm

that it will keep you safe from harm.

But that idiot didn't understand my intention.

Even our masked-sensei questioned my action.

"Sakura never stopped wanting to save you...never..."

"Because she loves you so much, it's breaking her..."

But I...I have absolutely no reason to love you.

I...I do not deserve any part of you...

And I can see no reason why you would love me.

Why do you even care about someone as conceited as me?

No, it's not love that I am experiencing.

No, it's not love that you are feeling.

These are merely mangled bonds that won't ever last.

These are probably just...chains from a failed past...

A/N: This ones based on chapter 693 as you guys might've guessed. Sasuke talks some shit about revolution and team 7 tries confronting him. That's when he realises that even after so long, he can't let Sakura interfere. Because if she does then probably this time Kakashi-sensei won't be able to save her from Sasuke and Naruto's attack. So he puts her under a genjutsu. Exactly Sasuke's way of doing things -_-

And because Kakashi-sensei is one of the biggest SasuSaku shipper, I added two of his dialogues in the lines 37 and 38.
