CHAPTER EIGHT: BEFORE IT HITS THE FAN

Prince: As you all know, there was a few chapters of character development after the whole Finals thing in Negima. This arc will be covering those three-to-four stories before the next chapter deals with Evangeline. Don't worry though, as Naruto is up-to-date (meaning now he gets his new Sage Transformation and can probably summon the other half of Hagoromo's chakra i.e. Sasuke) and like I said in previous chapters has all the abilities he has at the end of the Naruto series, which some people say will end this year, but I feel like it may add one or two more villains before eventually calling it quits.

Kiactu: Like Prince mentioned, there are times when he is going to forget that Naruto is wearing a mask. Please do not hold that against him.

Prince: In Naruto chapter 675, it was revealed that Madara was the instigator of the Fourth Shinobi World War by killing Rin and starting it. I figured he was just a coward who couldn't face the fact that the shinobi world is doing fine just the way it is and that it's striving towards peace. So, I also figured he was a lot like Aizen from Bleach. All Naruto would have to do was just withstand his strongest attack and jutsu and wound him while he was at his most powerful. Then pull out his ultimate jutsu and show how it trumps the bastard. I don't know about you, but I do find Madara to be a coward. Just because you feel that the world is unfair, don't kill millions of innocent people just for your ideal. Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura are going to trump him in the next few chapters to come.

CHAPTER START

It was a rather peaceful day as Naruto and his roommates tried to get to the school on time, despite the fact that they wouldn't be late even if they didn't run. Naruto smiled as each of his students greeted him as he passed each one. However, there was a couple of students that didn't greet him, like Evangeline A.K. McDowell, Chachamaru Karakuri, and Chisame Hasegawa. Naruto didn't particularly mind though as he was sure he needed to get on their good sides somehow.

While the first two thought nothing of it, the latter seemed to glare. "Why are they running?" she asked herself. "They're not even late. Damn brats." Later that very morning, the Headmaster ordered the girls to occupy the same space where they held the announcements for the final exams. "Everyone, please allow me to introduce someone to you all," he said. "From the new year onwards, he will be an official teacher at the main campus English department. Please help me welcome Naruto Uzumaki!" The room filled with cheer, though one girl felt that the cheer was a little unnecessary.

"W-What?" she asked in shock. There was no way the Headmaster would allow this . . . immature idiot to teach a class. He didn't dress like an official teacher, he more or less let them do whatever they want, and he kept his face hidden mostly. He was not a professional at his job!

"Well, I guess I'm going to be your teacher from now on," Naruto said, scratching the back of his head. "I just want to say that you guys are the best for putting up with me." The girls cheered him on as Kazumi took pictures of him to post in the school newspaper. They held up the trophy for top class as well. "It's all thanks to Naruto-sensei we were able to win this trophy!" Yuna said.

Naruto's smile grew even more. "Top of the class-ttebayo," he said. "I knew you girls could do it! All you had to do was just believe in yourself and your classmates."

"It was all thanks to you, sensei," Ayaka said. "This victory shall be sealed into the hearts of 2-A for years to come. I'm proud to be class president." Getting on her knees and holding Naruto's hand (who felt really awkward at the moment), she asked that he continued to watch after the class. Naruto accepted nervously, not knowing how to take this.

'Y . . . You're all wrong! This idiot did nothing!' Chisame thought. 'He even skipped class for a day! I mean, is it even okay to have someone who themselves seem like a novice at the English language? This is totally contrary to productivity! What kind of joke is this?'

"Yes, Fuka?" Naruto asked, turning towards the girl with her arm outstretched in the air.

"Hey, sensei, since you're a bit younger than us . . . and it's not normal to have a young teacher below the age of twenty, right?" she asked. Naruto raised an eyebrow at the girl's question. 'I was right! It is true that twins have double the clarity of vision.'

"So, the two of us were thinking . . . Why don't we have a 'Topping the School Celebration' party today?" As most of the class agreed, Chisame just slammed her head on her desk before complaining even more about how irrelevant the previous statement by Fuka was. 'Why is everyone celebrating? This damn class just drags me along all the time?'

Naruto stopped by Chisame before coughing. "You know, I think they may include you because they think you're their friend," he said. He could feel the negative emotions wafting off the girl in torrents. She was a bit shocked that Naruto had somehow read her mind. "H-How did you know what I was thinking?" she asked quietly. "Are you psychic?"

"No, I just can feel negative emotions, like the one you're pouring out in droves. Are you feeling alright?" She grimaced before telling him not really and leaving with the excuse that her stomach hurt. Naruto watched her leave before turning back to the rest of his class, who had watched the exchange. "Um . . . Should I go after her?" he asked. "I mean, class is still in session."
"Just leave her be, sensei," Yue said. "Chisame's always like that."

"More importantly, the party's starting! Come to the dorm, Naruto-kun!"

Naruto looked towards Asuna before grimacing. "Ugh. I made a promise that I would never go back on my word," he said. "Unfortunately, helping those in need is the teacher's word and I can't go back on it." As he was about to leave, he told the girls that he would solve whatever was biting Chisame in the ass and meet them in front of the dorms, where the party was supposed to be held.

'This class is just too damn weird,' said girl thought as she stormed her way to the dorm. 'Even in first year, there was an abnormally high rate of previous people repeating from previous years.' Thoughts of most of her classmates came to mind like Evangeline, Chao Lingshen, Zazie Rainyday, Kaede, Mana, and the twins. 'And what the hell is with that robot? Why doesn't anyone else find it strange?' Her mind almost snapped at the thought of how a blond guy who looks younger than most of the teachers at the school managed to get into a class full of girls in the first place. He was a hormonally charged teen who peeked at some of them in the baths yet some of the girls in the class just allowed him to do so.

"This sucks! Where did my normal school life go?!" She then noticed Naruto following behind her. "Don't mind me," he said. "I'm just escorting you back to your room." She glared at the man before walking faster, trying to lose him. Naruto caught on and rushed to her side, where she ran even further from him.

"What do you want?" she asked, finally stopping at a lamp post to catch her breathe. 'How did he catch up with me? I know he didn't ride the tram from school?'

"Well, you said that your stomach was hurting so I went out into the woods and found an herb to help you deal with it." She denied that she wanted any, while calling him a moron in her mind. "So . . . You coming to the party?"

"I try not to surround myself with weird people."

"Sorry for having a personality," Naruto jokingly took offense. "Normal is just a word boring people created to feel good. We're all weird in our own way."

'You're the weirdest of them all!' Chisame started trembling again before trying her best to stop. "Are you alright?" Naruto asked.

"I'm fine!"

"Cold"

"I am not!"

". . . Your time of the month?"

"What kind of male asks a girl that?" Naruto was about to say one that knew when to get the hell out of his house and wait till she cools down. Once they got to the girl's room, she slammed the door in his face before screaming out how this was unfair. "This isn't a normal school life! I'm going to sing to the public about this ridiculous school. I'm going to show that damn pervert what being loved is all about!"

She sat at a makeup table and seemed to fix herself up. Changing clothes into something that resembled a little girl's fantasy, she posed for some odd reason. "'Chiu' is as pretty as ever-pyo!" Logging onto her computer, she headed towards a webpage with her face in the center of an orbit list (you know, those lists where you can spin the menu around to where you want to go by clicking on it). Next to the picture was a menu.

"Hello! How is everyone doing?" she asked. "Something really annoying happened today! We've got some hentai teaching the class and all he does is peep on me!" Naruto (who came in while she was changing as the girl had forgotten to lock the door) immediately felt that he should regret this. If anything, he was going to revert back to the impatient Naruto who yelled out that he was offended to be called a pervert. Even though most of the time he was.

Most of the replies back on her blog asked if they wanted her to get them to deal with the man, though others said that they knew how he felt. Naruto didn't know how to feel. He hadn't had a good battle in so long since the war. Well, maybe except that time he spent in Wales, but that was another story.

"Eeeh? No, that's not true. But thank you, everyone! As thanks, I'll let you see my new costume!" She showed off a schoolgirl costume and a bunny rabbit one before uploading them onto the computer, where she fixed up her skin using Photoshop and posted the pictures using FTP. She then shivered in joy as she waited on the results.

Within the next few minutes she smiled at how popular her photos had gotten. "I'm the queen! The most charisma out of everyone in the net world. All the boys will bow before me!" 'And that goes for that annoying teacher, too!' She had no idea he was right behind her with a ticked expression underneath his mask. 'He won't ever catch on. Hehehe. I won't stand out in the real world or cause a fuss that way. I can avoid its dangers. I'll be at the top of the "other" world instead! That's my stance!'

She then noticed his presence finally. "'Hentai', huh?" Naruto asked. "That would piss me off but I can deal with that. What I can't deal with is people being complete hypocrites and calling other people weird or when someone talks smack about me and can't back it up." Nine times out of ten those guys on the net were just some fat assholes who sat at the computer and talked shit. But what did Naruto know?

'D . . . Did he see me? This guy . . . My secret . . .' Chisame crouched down on the floor as Naruto's face softened. She soon thought of what everyone in the class would think before deciding that she would brain him to keep her secret. "So, this is the real you," he said, observing the computer screen. 'She actually looks pretty cute.' Chisame nearly dropped the carrot at his compliment, which he had voiced out loud without thinking about it.

'Ah . . . Well . . . Of course! Who do you think I am? I'm the number one idol on the net after all.' Naruto stared at the girl before getting close to her face. "I like you with the glasses, but I really do think you're cuter without them." Grabbing them, he held placed them on his forehead as she tried reaching for them.

"So . . . Do you want to still go to the party?" he asked, stepping by the door and opening it up. "Everyone threw this party to celebrate passing their tests. Of course that means we're going to." Running outside as she grabbed for her glasses, Naruto led her outside her room. "Why would such a pretty girl wear glasses all the time?" he asked.

"I . . . I can't face people without them. And I hate parties. Staying inside by myself is much better for someone like me! Give them back!"

"That's what people say when they don't want to make friends, or enjoy life," Naruto said. "Carpe diem. You ever heard of that?"

"Yeah. It means 'Seize the day', but I don't want to." Naruto smiled at the girl's answer. "Look how perfect today is," he told her. "The sun is shining, birds are chirping, squirrels are gathering nuts." She said nothing before sighing, realizing that there was no way out of this. 'I'll accompany these weirdos, just for today.' Naruto grinned before dragging her with him.

"Let me change first!"

"You're late, sensei!" Fumika yelled as Sakurako noticed something about his company. "Who's that cute girl?" They suddenly noticed how cute she really was before asking him if that was his secret girlfriend. Naruto blatantly shot that down. "Is this cosplay?" another of his student's asked. "Are you going to show us your hidden talent?"

"Wh . . . Just a . . ." Chisame said, trying to get them to stop asking questions.

"Hey, Naruto, that girl wouldn't just so happen to be . . ." Before Naruto could answer, she grabbed her glasses as her hair brushed against Naruto's nose. "Crap," he said. He could feel a sneeze come on and he couldn't do anything to stop it. So sneezing, he ripped the costume into little pieces, which floated to the ground as little pieces of cloth resembling petals.

While everyone was distracted by the show, Naruto handed the girl his jacket, hoping that no one saw her get stripped. "Eh? Aren't you Hasegawa?" they noticed. "It really is Chisame-chan!" She tried to deny that she was, even though she was being hounded. 'I should apologize,' Naruto said with an embarrassed look on his face. However, she was thinking that she was eventually going to kill him.

"Naruto-kun!" Konoka yelled sometime after the party. "Oi, Naruto-bouzu!" Asuna was helping to search for their wayward teacher. "I told him I wanted to show him around during spring break, but before you know it he disappears. 'When he wants to be a ninja he's nowhere to be found but when he doesn't you can find him nearly anywhere,' the latter thought.

"The school is pretty big," Konoka reasoned. "Do you think he may have gotten lost?" Asuna couldn't tell, but she did see Asakura near the two of them. She then asked the resident paparazzo to put out a missing child report. "Isn't it a nice day today? I wouldn't mind going on a picnic, Asuna." Asuna didn't want to, however. "Why don't you join the Strolling Club then?" Asakura suggested.

Naruto sighed as he walked through the streets of the city. "Despite this world having nothing to do with nature, it's really pretty," he said. "If I took the time, I might be able to draw in the natural energy around me." Hearing the chime of the announcement bell, Naruto stopped for a second to listen. "The guardians of Naruto Uzumaki-kun of the Middle School English department are waiting near the Observation Deck."

Naruto almost tripped over his own two feet before racing to where they said to look. Finding the two there, Naruto shot a glare at Asuna. "Geez, let a guy do a bit of exploring before you tell people he was a missing child," he growled. "And who's a child?!"

"Don't get mad at me just because you got lost." Naruto was about to say that he didn't get lost as he could've sensed them out before finding them before shutting his mouth. There was no way he was revealing himself out to the class' blabbermouth. "Fine."

"Hey, come over here for a second," Asuna told him. She showed him a view of the school as apology. Naruto stood in awe at the sight before him. It was almost calming to watch the birds fly overhead. Asuna tried to explain what was where, but Naruto's mind was still thinking about how peaceful it was here.

"Asuna, we've got something to do from Grandfather," Konoka explained after getting an email on her phone. Naruto waved them off as the girl tried to explain. "But you may get lost again."

"I wasn't lost the first time," Naruto said with a tick mark. "I was just looking around when you guys went on without me." Asuna shrugged. "Just so long as we don't have to hear your name on the intercom anymore." Naruto glared at the girl as someone called out his name.

He turned his attention to the source.

It was the twins Fuka and Fumika, so Asuna pushed him off on them instead. "It's okay," Fumika told him. "We'll show you around the school." Her sister nodded in the affirmative. "Just leave it to us, the strolling club." Naruto smiled as it sounded rather peaceful. "What kind of activities do they do?" he asked. "It's probably something calming like strolling around for fun."

"Strolling is a sport that even has a world championship! It's a hardcore sport for professionals!" Fuka yelled. "It's where the strolling pros aim to be the best in the world! It's a no-holds-barred battle of strolling techniques in the stroll called the Saharan 'Death Hike'! People die every year because they can't withstand it!"

"For some reason, I'm highly doubting you're telling the truth," he said as he sweatdropped. "I'm a lot of things, stupid may be one of them, but I'm also a pretty good liar, so I know when you girls are." Fuka laughed sheepishly as her sister exhaled in relief. Fumika was about to lay into her older sister if Naruto actually believed what she said.

The girls lead him into a gymnasium, where they ran into another of his students Yuna Akashi. "Ohayo, Naruto-sensei," the basketball player said. She was dressed in her school jersey and doing what seemed to be like practice. Noticing the rather confused look on his face, she stopped playing for a bit before coming over to the group. "What's up?"

"What are you playing?" Naruto asked. The girls almost tripped.

"Sensei, you've never played basketball?" Yuna asked in astonishment. Naruto shook his head. "Back where I'm from, we're what you would call 'old-fashioned'," he answered. "I didn't even know what a car was before I went to school in England." Well, he kind of had an idea of what they were but they were nowhere near as advanced as they were here.

"You didn't have any technology?" Yuna asked, now intrigued.

"No, we had things like satellites, TV, computers, wireless radios, video tapes, VCRs, cameras and batteries but no one really watch TV or could play on computers like you guys do." There was also Hikaru from the Crescent Moon Kingdom that had a handheld video game, but that was about as technologically advanced as they were. "Our computers were only 8-bit or 16-bit, not 32-bit like most of the others today."

"Well . . . I have to get back to practice so see you later, sensei," Yuna said as she got the ball back before dribbling. A thought crossed her mind before she turned back to him. "I'm going to show you how to play basketball one day soon, too!" Naruto just told her to tell him whenever she thought it was fine and let the girls lead him on.

"So our class is really good at volleyball and dodgeball, right?" Fuka asked. Naruto didn't know so much about dodge ball really as out of twenty students they still lost over half of them in the game. "We're good at aerobics and other lady-like activities, too." Fuka commented however that they were bad at basketball, getting Yuna to yell at her to lay off.

Naruto said nothing as they led him further on to a rather . . . familiar room. "'Ladies Locker Room'?" he asked as Fuka slowly pulled the door open.

"And now, the changing room experience that sensei's been eagerly awaiting! Want to take a look inside?" She slowly began to open the door, much to her sister's surprise. Naruto covered his eyes, though he peeked through his fingers with a massive blush on his face. "What?" he asked. "You didn't expect me to act like I didn't want to see anything."

"Naruto-kun so ecchi," Makie stated with a smile as she poked her head out the doorway.

"This is the indoor pool."

"Ah! We're also good at swimming 'cause our class's Akira is amazing." The girl was setting herself up for a lap in the pool when they called out to her. "Hello, Naruto-sensei," she greeted. Naruto greeted her back with a smile before he was surrounded with the girls from the club. "Hey, it's the hottie teacher!" Naruto blushed a bit as the girls complimented him on his looks.

"Can he really teach?"

"You can, can't you?"

The twins stood off to the side. Fumika was giggling a bit with her sister, though Fuka was thinking of something devious. "The Outdoor Athletics club is over here," she led the group once more. "There's a lot of people so there's often arguments over the courts." The sight of a butt shaking to and fro caught his attention before Naruto realized that he was peeking at one of his students.

"Ah, it's Naruto-kun!" Shiina exclaimed. "What are you doing here? Are you on a field trip?" Madoka then asked if he was here to peep on girls instead. Naruto kept quiet for a second, making the girls feel that he was embarrassed. "Those uniforms really suit you-ttebayo," Naruto said with a smile and a "nice-guy" pose. "I was just taken back by how cute you three looked in them."

It was a major surprise to the girls as the comment was rather unexpected. "Naruto-kun, you flirt," Shiina said with a blush. "What about us makes it look cute?" They started to surround him a bit. Naruto stayed in place though instead of getting flustered. "I don't know," he honestly answered. "It just made a major contrast to what you three usually wear."

"What we usually wear are our school uniforms, sensei," Misa said. "If you want to see what we look like in casual clothes, then you have to take us shopping." Naruto nodded affirmatively. "Just call me and we'll see," he said. "I want to meet everyone in our class."

A while after the tour, Naruto noticed Fuka seemed to be a little mad. "What is it?" he asked.

"You didn't compliment us on our clothes," she said. Naruto scratched the side of his mask with a finger. "Well, you girls never asked for one. I mean, I guess they look cute on you two but . . ." There was only so much cuteness from a girl with a child-like body before it went into something either disturbing or moe.

"Well, we can't show you all the cultural clubs since there are more than 160 of them." Naruto's eyes nearly bugged out. "Let's go for a snack then." At Naruto's shrugged, the girls then asked if he'd pay for them. "It can't be that much, right?" he asked.

'Poor Gama-chan,' he said, crying over his nearly deflated toad-shaped wallet. 'Who knew something so little could eat their way through most of the things on the menu?' The twins happily ate mango pudding and coconut parfait. 'But they're good kids though.' Naruto then blinked before feeling he should write something. Taking out a pen and his roster, he soon began to write down something in the book. "What's that you're writing, Naruto-sensei?"

"Oh, nothing," he answered. "Well, I have some things to do, so I can't stay with you girls for long."

"What are you talking about, Naruto-sensei?" Fuka asked. "There's one last important place to show you." Naruto didn't understand what the younger twin (Fumika) meant by that last statement. He soon found out at the base of a massive tree. Naruto suddenly felt like he was facing the God Tree again by how big it was. However, this tree had nothing on the massive tree that nearly threatened to drain his friends of their life-giving chakra, so he didn't have to feel . . . anxious around it.

"This tree . . ." Naruto started. He could feel the radiating chakra coming from it, along with a bit of magic. It felt like the God Tree, only this tree wasn't as imposing as that one had been. "They say this tree was here long before the Academy was built. Everyone calls it the 'World Tree'."

'Did . . . When the Great Old Sage's brother seal part of the God Tree in him, did he leave the Nations?' Naruto thought inside himself. It had to be. Hagoromo didn't say anything after that about his brother, so there was a chance that Naruto wasn't the first person to leave.

The girls climbed up the tree with Naruto following. "There's a legend about this tree," Fumika explained. "Quite a few of them, actually. They say if those with unrequited love confess here, that love will come true . . . Romantic, isn't it?" Naruto stayed quiet, letting them have their moment. "One day, we too . . ." The wind blew through the air, making them seem a lot older than they were.

'Someone to love, huh?' he thought quietly. Multiple girls came to mind for him: Sakura, Hinata, some of the girls in the class including Asuna and Konoka (not to mention those he saw today), Shizuka, Shion . . . The list kept growing with each girl he helped over his course as a shinobi. Some were even from his training as a mage, including Nekane.

Blinking, Naruto shook his head once he noticed the twins had taken a side of him. "Maybe we should confess to sensei, too." Fumika agreed, making Naruto blush as he nearly fell out of the tree. "W-Wait! I don't think we can do this!" he yelled. "I mean, I have to get to know you girls first, and then we have to take a few dates and then . . . Uh . . ." He had nothing. The girls giggled as they both leaned in closer before kissing him on both cheeks.

"Naruto-sensei, we love you!" Naruto laughed before all three climbed down the tree.

At home, Naruto sat in the living room with his back facing the door thinking about his day when he opened up his roster. Looking at what he written earlier, Naruto frowned before shaking his head. Instead of what he had written earlier of 'Good girls, but they like to eat a lot.' they had written 'Adult tastes.' Well, he was sure Fumika had nothing to do with it.

"Naruto, we're home." Asuna said before noticing the roster. "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU MAKE THEM DO?!"

"I didn't do anything! Fuka wrote this in here!" Said twin held a cup to her ear outside as her younger sister tried to ask her why she wrote something like that. "Don't ever write something like that with me around," Fumika said.

"Okay class," a kindergarten teacher said as she stood at the front of the class. Standing beside her was a younger version of Asuna, who made it obvious that the only thing that changed about the girl was just her body shape. "This is Asuna Kagurazaka-san. She's transferring from overseas. Let's all play nice."

Staring at her was a younger Ayaka, who stood up soon after reprimanded the girl for her staring and her attitude. "Don't you think that's a bit conceited for someone who just transferred here?" Asuna mumbled something to herself, causing Ayaka to get closer and closer until she heard the word "Brat."

This was the first time Asuna and Ayaka ever fought and there was no guarantee there would be a last time.

"T-T-That brat!" Ayaka yelled as she woke up abruptly. Inhaling as if she had swallowed something fowl, the girl then got dressed before greeting the members of her staff. "Please bring me my morning red tea," she ordered the butler. 'I had that annoying dream again this morning. Every single time . . . That violent, outlaw-like . . . I thought I'd come home for summer break but this just became the worst vacation ever.

"Ojou-sama, your teacher called earlier today." Those words seemed to brighten the girl's day. "He called? What for?" The butler gave her a memo and watched as the girl sung and danced around the mansion before realizing she was being watched. "It appears that my class teacher is coming for a visit, everyone. Do your best not to make any mistakes."

Naruto steadily walked up the bath dressed for what looked like something professional. He almost growled at the tie wrapped around his neck and the fact that they had straightened his hair, leaving only a few spikes. "I wonder why I had to dress so professionally today?" he asked. 'The least she could've done was let my hair stay free.' His hair had been pulled back into a really long ponytail that held most of his spikes. 'This mansion is really big, too. How did I miss this on the Observation Deck?'

"Welcome, Naruto-sensei," Ayaka called out before falling right on her face. Besides Naruto, Asuna and Konoka decided to visit the girl as well. "Naruto may be an adult, but he still seems to be a bit childish," the former said. "Plus, I don't trust him around you." Ayaka growled before threatening to kill her. That started a fight which almost caused some of the maids to intercept the girl as Konoka tried to settle Asuna down.

"Would you two at least call a truce today?" Naruto asked, grabbing the both of their collars and picking them up off the ground to face him. When the two turned their attentions towards one another, they both grunted and turned their heads. Naruto sighed before placing them on the ground and rapping his knuckle on each of their heads.

The group strolled through the mansion's garden (Asuna and Ayaka sporting a stinging knot). "This is the biggest one I've ever seen, you know, besides one that actually has to get paid for specific merchandise."

"It doesn't stop here," Ayaka answered with a smile. "This is just the front garden. So tell me, sensei, what brought you to my house today." Naruto was about to answer when he noticed Asuna telling him not to. Ayaka caught that and it almost started another fight where Naruto sighed and rapped them on their heads again. "What I was going to say was that I wanted to get along with the class president a bit better, so . . ."

The girl's eyes lit up in surprise and joy. "Ah! I'm overwhelmed with happiness, Naruto-sensei," she swooned. "I completely understand! I won't bother trying to take it slow with you anymore. If it's alright we can head right into a deeper relationship right now." She began leading him towards her bedroom. Naruto was a bit confused about what she meant with taking it slow, but he let her lead him on anyway.

"She's fast!" Konoka stated.

"HEY, HEY!"

"This is my room," Ayaka introduced. Naruto kept the frown off his face as this was kind of like his apartment. Her one room was bigger than his apartment. "The view hasn't changed a bit since primary school, has it?" Asuna asked as she stepped outside on the veranda. Ayaka told her not to step outside all on her own. "Naruto-sensei, you like green herb tea, don't you?"

"Yeah, how did you know?"

"I've obtained teas from several different plantations. Please have whichever one you like." As her butler listed out every tea there. "'Obtained', you say," Asuna said. Ayaka also offered up dessert, which she almost ran over Konoka and Naruto with. "Hey, you're overdoing it?"

"Sensei, tell me about your life," Ayaka inquired. Naruto nearly spit out his tea before swallowing what he had in his mouth. "What do you want to know?" he asked, a little apprehensive to tell her anything about chakra and the like.

"What was life like for you before you came to Japan?"

Naruto kept his mouth closed before scratching his chin. "Well, it was rather . . . plain. I used to live in a little village called Konohagakure before deciding to leave because it was just too peaceful. So, I left and went on a little journey to find something interesting to do."

"What about family?" Ayaka asked. "Didn't you have family ties in your village?" Naruto sighed before looking the girl in her eyes. "The closest thing I have to living family is a cousin that I could swear was bipolar," he answered. "My parents had died on the day I was born so I was sent to live in an orphanage until they eventually got tired of me. So the Third Hokage, my caretaker for the first few years of my life, set me up with an apartment and a monthly allowance. Moving on, I eventually met a couple of kids just like me in Negi and Nekane when I moved to England." The rest was history.

"Naruto-sensei was an orphan?" Konoka asked Asuna. The girl nodded in the affirmative.

"Naruto-sensei, aren't you sad that you never got to meet your parents?" Ayaka asked with concern. Naruto shook his head. "I learned about what they did later on in my life. My dad was the village leader after the Third Hokage, but the old man had to take up office after he died and my mom was the last of her people.

"They say I have her facial structure. She also had that tick you guys hear after I get excited." Naruto stood up before looking towards Asuna. She got the message before telling Konoka that they were going to leave and head to the pool.

"There's a pool here, Naruto-kun," the girls said. Naruto soon fell in line behind her, wanting to go with the two to the pool as well. "Ah! Wait a minute!" Ayaka yelled. "I still have more things to show Naruto-sensei."

The group then made it to the pool: Asuna and Konoka wearing school swimsuits while Ayaka wore a more adult one. Naruto was dressed in a simple orange pair of trunks with a blue line running down both legs and crossing over to his hip.

"Naruto-kun! Iinchou! Want to race?" Konoka asked, only to get a negative reply from Ayaka as she felt that Asuna would beat them again. "Those two are really like kids," Naruto smiled.

"And yet, compared to them, Naruto-sensei is so wonderful and calm," Ayaka said. Naruto coughed into his hands. "I wasn't really always like this," he said. "I was more like Fuka then anyone else." Only . . . with better pranks and better at keeping it so that no one could track him.

"In any case, Konoka-san and Asuna-san have been like that since primary school. Well, Asuna-san was more tight-lipped when she first transferred in." Naruto smiled once more before thinking about their relationship being more like he and Sasuke's. "Then you two must have been very good friends."

"WHO ARE FRIENDS?" Ayaka yelled. "SHE AND I ARE ENEMIES! ENEMIES!"

'That figured,' Naruto thought. 'The two won't say they're friends, but they're really the best of friends.'

"Our interests clashed, we tried to sabotage each other at sports carnivals, and we've fought all the way during the last seven years like we were natural enemies." Naruto noticed something before trying to feel out for another person here. "Hey, that room over there . . . Is it one of your siblings?" he asked. It was stocked to the brim with toys. Naruto then felt that he had stepped on a landmine.

He felt the sadness in the girl's mood before trying his best to take the question back. She didn't seem to mind, but Naruto could feel that the girl was rather upset. "Um . . . Are you offering me any cookies?" he asked, watching as she began to play around with the plate laid before her before her mind soon registered what happened.

"Um . . . Yeah," she said. "Do you want some cookies? They're homemade." Naruto smiled before taking a few. "They're very tasty," he said as he took a bite out of some. "Here, here!" she said, pushing them off on him. "There's more and I can get you some more tea if you want."

"Wow, you're going to make someone very happy as a wife when you grow older, Iinchou," Naruto said with a smile. He then noticed her staring at him with a somewhat stricken look on her face. "What? Do I have something on my face?" She placed his head in her chest. Naruto waited patiently for a few minutes before trying to get away.

"That's enough," Asuna yelled with a dropkick, knocking the girl away from Naruto before he lost his breath. "You've really done it this time, Asuna-san! Y-Y-Y-You've done nothing but interfere with every single year, every single day of my life!"

"What? Isn't that because you do stupid stuff every single day?" Asuna yelled back. Ayaka grit her teeth and told Asuna to get off her property. She then left with Konoka, who assured Naruto that the two were always like this. "Forget that," Asuna said. "It's all up to you from now on." Naruto watched the two leave after Asuna apologized to their host.

"I apologize Naruto-sensei . . . That was unseemly behavior. It's just that my relationship with Asuna-san is really, really bad." Naruto said nothing and waited for her to finish. After realizing that she was indeed finished, he began to correct her. "That's not true at all," he said. "Asuna thought of you when she sent me today. I'm kind of in a relationship like that two with a friend of mine. We always used to butt heads when it came to this one girl but eventually I stepped back and let him take her. We still do butt heads from time to time too."

"I thought you said you left your village."

"Sure, but bonds are never broken," Naruto told her. "They can be thinned down to a string, they can be tested from time to time, but they're never broken. All you just need is to let the two of you dial your pride back a bit." The only reason why the two fight were because they were too prideful. All it took was one insult from one and they'd set off. That was usually Sasuke and Naruto's bit.

"Sensei . . . do you think, that even for a minute . . . You could be my little brother?" Ayaka asked. Naruto smiled before telling her to close her eyes. Once she opened them when he asked her to, Ayaka saw something she'd never expect. It was Naruto, only he seemed a lot younger. Instead of standing a head over her, the Naruto before her looked like an ordinary seven-year-old. His hair was strictly blond, no black to be found anywhere. The whisker marks which defined his face only appeared as straight lines on each cheek instead of giving off that deepened look they usually gave off. a"Onee-chan, let's go play."

Ayaka felt tears well up in her eyes as she grabbed the boy before her. She felt oddly content with him. Even so much that she fell asleep clutching the younger boy with her. In a plume of smoke, the original Naruto laid in her arms, grimacing at the position he was in. He then went through a series of hand seals ending with snake before grabbing a pillow. The object switched places with him before Naruto stared over his student.

'Sleep tight, Ayaka-san,' he thought before disappearing in a plume of smoke.

It was early morning as Konoka made breakfast for the entire room. "I would've been fine with just instant ramen," Naruto told her, though the girl would have none of that. "Naruto-kun, you have to take better care or your body," she scolded. "You can't eat just ramen every day or you'll get malnutrition." Naruto pouted before tasting the food anyway. He could sneak some ramen later. There was bound to be a restaurant that served it nearby.

"It's really good," he said as he took the first bite.

"Thank you, Naruto-kun," the girls responded. "Asuna always eats and runs." Said girl was doing just that even though she apologized. "You know, if you aren't someone's wife, you can open your own restaurant," Naruto said, nearly stuffing his face with food. "Oh, you," Konoka said with a smile, hitting him on the head with her mallet.

He helped her out with her chores for the day. She showed obvious concern for him, though he laughed some of it off as he was good. 'This girl really is going to find some lucky guy . . . or girl,' Naruto thought (AN: That ending pairing of Konoka/Setsuna was actually the only pairing that I agree with). 'She's a lot nicer than someone I can name.'

Speak of the devil and she shall appear. Naruto nearly jumped out of his skin when the door slammed open with Asuna calling his name. "Y-Yeah?" he asked with a shaky voice.

"A letter came for you today," she told him. "And guess where it's from!" Naruto was about to answer Konoha when even he realized how stupid that sounded. "The Magic Academy! You have to be really careful when something like this comes here. What if Konoka found in before you?"

"Well, she would've just skipped over it," Naruto said. "Magic envelopes tend to make it so that those that don't know about the magic world kind of forget it's there." A figure popped up out of the screen, showing a teen about Naruto's age. "Nekane-chan," Naruto said, not caring whether or not if Asuna saw or not. "I stayed with her and her cousin while I was in England. The two got close to me for some reason."

"Naruto-kun, it's been a while," the message said. "I hope you're doing fine. A few days ago, Negi and I got the good news about how you were finally accepted as a teacher. Good job!" Naruto blushed somewhat as he kind of enjoyed being complimented by a pretty girl. Asuna caught this and smiled a bit before nudging him in the back. "So is she your girlfriend?" she asked, getting no answer from Naruto.

"I wouldn't say that," he said. "She's more like a friend who let me live with both her and her cousin in England after I got off there . . . who's a girl."

"So . . . Have you found a partner yet?" the girl asked. "They say a mage naturally attracts their partner so he or she may be close to you right now." Naruto snorted as he thought to himself that he wasn't officially a mage. He only used magic sparingly, when he was out of chakra. And Naruto only knew one or two combat spells offhand. The rest were supplementary techniques that he used on other people in case they were hurt or worse.

And that was what the power Naruto had gotten from the Sage of Six Paths was for.

"I pray that you find a wonderful partner during your training period!" Naruto could tell that she wished it was her, but wasn't acting upon it. "A partner?" Asuna asked. Naruto explained that there was a legend about the savior of the world who had a courageous knight to protect and assist her. "Well, since she had a partnership that was extremely effective, now everyone wants to have partners as strong as the knight was." Naruto in his own right was probably stronger if not just as strong as the pair back when he first learned to harness the energy of nature.

"Partners are usually important for the Magister Magi," he explained. "For some reason, they think that those without a partner look silly. Of course, I don't." Naruto kind of respected people who like that. He didn't like some of them, but he could respect their decisions. "So, it has to be a girl for you, right? Do they have to match up in couples?"

"Not really," Naruto answered. "The only reason why it's a couple is because some mages only have enough magic to supply only one partner. My magic is a lot like my chakra; I can't use small techniques because it's like trying to separate a drop from an ocean." Mages like Naruto were rare, though Naruto technically wasn't a mage. The more powerful one was, the more likely he was to have more than one partner under the permanent Pactio.

"Though it is quite popular nowadays for the two to get married," Naruto mindlessly pointed out. Asuna grinned cheekily before grabbing Naruto's cheeks. "So it is like a girlfriend then, isn't it?" Naruto grabbed both of her wrists before taking them off his face. "Please don't do that again," he told her, rubbing his cheeks.

"Eh . . . So Naruto-kun came to Japan to look for a girlfriend?" Konoka asked, getting Asuna to jump. Naruto heard what she said and tried to rebuke it. "Anyhow, when did you get in?" he asked.

"Somewhere during the middle," she answered honestly. "By the way, what's in the letter?"

"Oh, just something from my friends in England," Naruto answered. Konoka then took the chance while he was trying to hide it to run into the hallway. "EVERYONE! I HEARD NARUTO-KUN CAME TO JAPAN TO LOOK FOR A GIRLFRIEND!"

"Hey! That's totally not true!" Naruto said. "I can get a girlfriend any time I want. Now I just don't feel like it due to the fact that I have to look after you girls basically half of my time."

"I know, Naruto-kun, I'm sorry," she said. Naruto didn't believe her one bit. "I was just joking. Asuna, Ojii-san is calling again so I've got to go." When Asuna voiced her disbelief at the situation, Naruto wondered what they were talking about. "Phew . . . That was pretty shocking," Asuna said, not noticing the two behind the door.

"I don't know what I'd do if my cover was blown," Naruto sighed before closing the door. Behind it was both Narutaki twins, who smiled at the juicy gossip they got from the room. Despite the fact that it was a misunderstanding. It soon spread through the school that Naruto was a prince looking for a princess. When he stepped outside later that day, he was then stampeded by his class.

"Wait, where did you girls hear this rumor that I'm a prince?" he yelled at them, but no one seemed to answer. "I'm no prince! I'm just an average guy who just came to Japan!" Slipping behind a corner, Naruto raised a covering over him that hid him from normal people's sight and listened as the girls ran past him before taking the covering down. "Phew," he said as he then walked in the other direction.

Naruto then abruptly stopped before turning his head at another pass. There was another group of girls waiting for him. "Fuck!" Naruto yelled before running. The logical side of the girls would've realized that princes don't curse. Logic would also tell them that princes don't dress like ordinary teens. If anything, princes dressed fancy. However, like most times, logic flew out the window when it dealt with the girls of Mahora.

'Whatever these girls drink to make them have killer bodies also seems to kill whatever brain cells they have in their heads,' Naruto thought to himself. 'Now I know how Sasuke felt whenever he had to deal with fangirls.' Of course back then before his reputation was ruined by the whole . . . thing with his family. 'How many corners do I have to turn before I'm effectively away from these girls?'

Once more, Naruto turned a corner. However, this time he just stopped before jumping up on top of a roof. 'Heh. They won't find me up here.' He stuck to the rooftops, keeping out of sight of everyone before ducking into an open window. "Naruto-kun," a voice called out, making him freeze up.

"Um . . . Hey there," he said.

"Isn't it dangerous to be climbing up buildings like that, Naruto-kun?" the girl said. Her voice was awfully familiar yet it was more recent familiar, not the blast from the past kind. "It's me." Naruto's eyes widened as he realized who it was.

"Konoka, you look . . ." Her hair was pulled back with only a few bangs visible. Two flower-like head bands held the rest back and he could swear that she wore a bit of makeup. The girl was dressed in a kimono with floral patterns on it. "You look beautiful." Konoka blushed a bit.

"Naruto-kun, what are you doing here?"

As he was about to answer, the two heard Konoka's name being shouted out behind them. "Konoka-sama! Where are you?"

"Eh? What's that?" she asked. "This isn't good! Let's get out of here!" She ran in front of Naruto so that he could make sure that she was safe. Once they found somewhere to rest (i.e. the classroom), Naruto listened to the girl's story. "So . . . The old man set you up with an omiai with men twice your age," he pointed out, getting the girl to shake her head in the affirmative. "Yet you don't want to get married, am I correct?"

"That's right."

"Okay. One more question . . . What's an omiai?" She nearly fell over with that.

"It's really just the Japanese name for an arranged marriage," Konoka explained. Naruto frowned before tilting his head like a lost puppy. Konoka almost screamed out "CUTE!" at the sight before regaining her composure. "It's where their parents and/or grandparents decide on who the child will marry when they become of marrying age."

"Like the Hyuuga do from time to time," Kurama explained inside Naruto's mind. "It's really what they do with Hyuuga that aren't on the fighting lines like that Hinata girl or her little sister." Naruto made an "OH!" face at the answer before commenting on how Kurama was knowledgeable inside his mind.

"It's not that we're extremely knowledgeable," the fox answered. "It's that you're extremely dumb for someone who's been walking this Earth for what seems like eight years." Naruto took offense to that.

"We're still children," Konoka said with a sullen gaze. "Don't you think it's still far too early to decide on a future partner?" Naruto snorted as he felt like this was the same exact situation he was in. "I know how you feel. I don't know what happened but everyone suddenly thinks I'm a prince," he answered. "I'm nowhere near princely because if I was, then I'd probably have a stick shoved so far up my butt surgery probably couldn't take it out. And that's if I wasn't the rare prince that was nice to their subjects." Well, Naruto kind of was the sole heir to Uzugakure no Sato, where his mother's side of the family was from. And there was no telling where his dad's family originated from either.

"If that's the case then rather than Ojii-san's choices, I'd rather have Naruto-kun as my partner," Konoka said. "I can just imagine it now." In her mind (though Naruto could see it somehow), the Naruto in the picture had a pointy face with deep eyes.

"Nah," he corrected. "If it's me, then I'd probably look like this." In Naruto's image was a man that appeared to be in his late twenties early thirties. He had long hair that framed his face in two long bangs that spiked up in the back. The only things different between Naruto and the man were their facial structures and the whisker marks on Naruto's face. "That man was my father. They say I have my mother's face."

"That's even better than my thoughts," Konoka giggled. "Have you really thought about it?" Naruto shrugged. "I know! I'll use fortune telling to determine the perfect partner that's right for Naruto-kun!"

Grabbing Naruto's palm, Konoka stared deeply into the wrinkles. "I see . . ."

"What? What do you see?"

"I . . . can't tell. There's so much stuff here that it's like a maze. All I see are multiple partners, most from our class and some I don't recognize. I see . . . a rather violent one, a rather meek one, and a flirty girl . . . kind of (she tends to zone in and out, like this is a possible partner) that I don't know personally. However, one of the girls I see is someone we both know." Naruto was getting deeper into this. He wanted to see what the future held out for them two.

"She is already close by." Naruto didn't know who it was, so he just listened. "Your relationship with this person has improved a lot over the break." That reigned in a few characters. "How ecchi! You've already seen her panties!" The list drastically shortened. "And furthermore, that girl has two ponytails and bells as her charm point."

Naruto deadpanned. "There's no way she's going to fall for me." The joke was old before it was even born. "It was just a joke, Naruto-kun," Konoka laughed. She then held him close to her. "Ever since you came, it's like I have someone cool to talk to."

"Don't you have Asuna?"

"Well, Asuna and I have been starting to drift off but now I feel like you're slowly pulling everyone back together." Naruto smiled awkwardly. "Thanks, Konoka-chan," he said with a smile. "No problem. Just make sure you two have lots of fun together."

"I already told you that jokes getting old!" As Konoka walked away, she tripped over a desk leg, bringing Naruto down with her. The two gazed into each other's eyes before he blinked and moved away. A face full of white caught his eyes.

"You saw my panties, too." Naruto tried to say that it was an accident before the sound of a familiar voice reached his ears.

"Here I was trying to find you because I was worried and this is what I find," Asuna said as Ayaka stood behind her. Naruto sweated a bit as there was no way of talking his way out of this. "Konoka-san," Ayaka started, "a mature looking person like you seducing Naruto-sensei with a kimono." Konoka tried to explain herself as Naruto just waited for whatever beating to occur.

They were stopped however by a mixture of the class and the photographers for Konoka's omiai pictures appearing. "Crap." Naruto's comment went for both he and Konoka.

CHAPTER END

Prince: After a week, I've finally did it. It might not be as good a thing as last chapters, but I've finally uploaded something worth at least nine-and-a-half thousand words on here. The action starts next chapter and since I'm here, I'm going to respond to some of your reviews.

Markus-Antonius: Yeah. I was trying to make that scene more dramatic at the end so I took some of the advice from Fandom Flux where you listen to what music you want to play in the background.

Ashoa: I'll put him in the next time I use all nine Tailed Beasts. Trust me, all nine are going to make some more appearances than just Kurama.

Jose19: Yeah. But I can still see Naruto fighting head to head with Jack Rakan. I mean, it's like basically him fighting Madara again. Speaking of which, have you heard about the debate on who would win a fight between Aang and Naruto? I say Naruto.

Jose19 (Part 2): I'm still thinking about it. I think it's kind of like an Ender's Game sort of thing. You know, where different places make you age faster? For Naruto's edge of reality, that would be people in Negima age faster than that of Naruto.

R-King 93: Thanks.

Jose19 (Part 3): Negi doesn't know how to handle things like this. Naruto kind of does.

Jose19 (Part 4): Well, it probably works like this. Naruto and Nagi are actually pretty similar and like I said earlier there is a chance that they share a common ancestor. The blood might be a bit thick with both of them with Nagi and Negi's being stronger but Naruto has enough power to compensate for that, which could allow her to break the seal even with a drop, if Naruto lets her take it.

Jose19 (Part 5): Same answer as part 3.

Law77: I tried typing it but then I realized something. If clones were made to be just like their creator at that exact moment in time, then how could you take the clothes off one without making it pop? That scene from Shippuden when they try to split the waterfall has Naruto already taking off his shirt in preparation. Then he created the clones. So, like most of the stuff in the anime, please overlook that part of the chapter.

Prince: And I just had another idea for a Naruto fanfiction. It's a modern day Naruto still with ninja and chakra and the like. Only, not only is he a ninja, but he's also a master thief and assassin. He will be using tech like in the new game Watch Dogs where he can hack into computers. I was also thinking of outfitting him with a gauntlet of some kind as well. Please be on the look-out for that.
