Eggman has grown tired of losing to Sonic and his friends. To plan for world domination on Earth, Eggman will have to be far away from his enemies' reach and foreknowledge. This unknown world of Equestria is a perfect place to conduct his diabolic schemes. At the same time, he will have to contend with the native population and their ruling monarchies. (currently on hiatus)

17. Author's note of hiatus

Hello faithful readers. This is FerrumFlos1st, author of the Eggman Empire of Equestria, here to talk about what's been going on, why I haven't been updating the chapters, and my plans for the fanfic.

For starters. I am fairly surprised of the reception for my first fanfic. I've always been reading Sonic/MLP fanfics with the same plot of Sonic, either by himself or with his friends, entering the world of Equestria, teaming up with the Mane cast, and fighting a common villain. I wanted to do something different with instead of the heroes side of Sonic, why not make a story focusing on the villain? Being that this is my first fanfic, it is also my first time writing an ongoing story.

Why I haven't been updating the story? I was going to update a chapter a year ago. By then, I have found a labor intensive job. I am also going back to school. As such, I am always tired where my writings are limited to searches, comments, status posts, and a few paragraphs in my deviantart journal.

Speaking of Deviantart, this is where I am most active in commissioning Sonic/MLP artwork. You are free to give me a watch in deviantart on my life updates. It is the first thing you would see if you googled under, "FerrumFlos1st." In deviantart, I am also an admin of fan groups for Sonic/MLP. A major group is Sonic-Rainboom. It is source for all fan materials (fanart, fanfics, fan animations, etc) for Sonic/MLP. If you like the crossover, feel free to join. If you have a fanfic, you are free to share with us as well. P.S.: You will gain my personal favor if you pair Shadow the Hedgehog with Twilight Sparkle. I am indifferent to any other Sonic/MLP ships.

As I have a busy schedule, I am unable to continue writing the Eggman Empire of Equestria. Will I leave it discontinued? Absolutely not! Though I had debated with myself if I should end it with a general summary. Particularly when my interest for MLP is waning, along with the coming end of G4. Will I do so? I do not know. Until then, this fanfic is on hiatus for the coming years.
