And they're off to the bike race!
Finally it was time for the race. Toad, Toadette, Martin, and the others are lined up for it.
"Line up your bikes, everybody!" Terrance Buddington said. "Here is the rule. You will race for five miles. Ready? Go!"
Toad was very fast on his bike. Not that fast like Sonic, but totally fast. "I am sure to win a prize!" Toad gave a wave to his mushie, Toadette.
Toad's tire for the bike hit a nail. You can hear the tire go, "POP!" as it landed Toad into a big pile of dirt.
"Oh no! A flat tire for the bike!" He said.
The others were still in their bikes, not noticing Toad on the grass still with a flat tire on the bike.
"Oh my! Are you alright, Toad?" Toadette asked, as she got off of her own bike.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Toad said. "Don't stop now, Toadette! You still have more time to win a prize!"
"Well, a prize would be great right about now. But maybe after we fix that tire!" Toadette gave a smile as they fixed the flat tire for the bike. Many bikers went by. "Okay, it's fixed! Let's keep going!" Toad said.
Toad and Toadette rode across the line side by side, reaching the finish line.
"Hurray! Do you get a prize for last place or no?" Jeremy asked.
Toadette gave a big smile! "What a great day! I also got to ride five miles! I even learned how to fix that flat tire!" Hooray for Toadette!"
