The Black Leaves
Chapter 42
Naruto waited for weeks; watching the Masaki household from afar while surviving off of the local wildlife. Tenchi went to school and would go out to work out in some nearby farming fields, his father would go out to work everyday, and sometimes Tenchi's grandfather would come down from the shrine to visit his family and the girls.
There was not a single moment where the sword or Washu was alone or within easy reach. The sword was always with Tenchi or Ayeka and Washu was always within one of the others or locked away in her room.
Both Naruto and Venom were heavily upset with this fact; both had assumed that the folks living in the Masaki household would eventually drop their guard, but they never did. That was, until something different happened.
That something different was the arrival of two women. One had a peaceful yet stoic expression on her porcelain-like face and had long black hair. Her companion had a much more cheerful and child-like face while her hair was the exact same color as Sasami's. Both woman wore very regal robes that just screamed 'royalty'.
They both looked at each other and said a few words before the woman like a doll walked away the house and in the direction of the Masaki shrine. The other woman waved after the first before turning toward the Masaki household and walking to the front door. The instant the door opened, the woman leapt inside with her arms wide.
A short while after, Ayeka came running down from the shrine and into the house. A little while later, Tenchi came running down and into the house as well. Naruto decided to sit and wait to see what would come from the arrival of these two women.
He only had to wait for an hour or so before something happened. And it was a big something. As in, a giant interstellar space ship appeared directly over the Masaki residence.
Naruto slid into the water and swam over to the residence while remaining hidden from sight. He could see everyone heading out back and swam around until he was near the dock that extended off the back of the house.
There, everyone had gathered and a new figure made itself known; a very stern looking man with the royal robes and facial hair to show that he was in charge. Naruto had to submerge himself under the water to not be seen and thus could not hear what was going on.
He eventually resurfaced to see everyone watching Tenchi stand on one side of the dock with his sword in hand and some hoity-toity pink-haired prince-like character standing on the other side.
"Only someone as regal and well-bred as me may wield such a legendary blade as well as own the hand of the lovely Ayeka." The prince said in an annoyingly suave voice.
Seeing everyone distracted, Naruto activated his camouflage before slowly climbing out of the water. The young ninja slowly made his way over to the group of women watching the show; one of them being Washu. Moving as slow as possible, Naruto was able to make his way behind the group and get directly behind Washu.
In one swift movement, Naruto was able to lung forward and wrap his arms around Washu and hold her arms fast against her body.
"Now what are you going to do with that?" A teasing voice sounded. Naruto looked over to see Washu sitting a short distance away, drinking tea and eating a cookie. He looked in his arms and saw that instead of the actual Washu, Naruto was holding a doll with a silly blank expression on it's face.
'How?'
"I know young boys are into discovering and experimenting; so you can keep it. Just be sure to wash it when your done." Washu said with a small chuckle.
Naruto gave a sigh before removing his camouflage. "Why when we'd much rather have the real thing?"
"That's him!" Ayeka shouted. She quickly called her guardians; who appeared before her and the two new women.
Washu took a sip of her tea before responding to Naruto. "Humph, I doubt a tiny little tike like you could handle himself against a full grown woman like me."
"Full grown, huh?" Naruto said looking the girl up and down. "And we doubt that such a small kid would be the so called 'genius of the universe'." He shrugged his shoulders.
Naruto noticed the smallest twitch of irritation form on Washu's face. "How could you be the most intelligent person in the universe when your nothing but a little girl squatting at some random kid's home on some backwoods planet?"
Washu sent Naruto an ice-cold glare which the boy was completely immune to. Naruto looked at the Washu doll still in his hands before tossing it over his shoulder at Ryoko. The instant the woman caught the doll, the plush toy violently exploded.
"You really need to learn some other tricks if that is your best; Miss Washu." Naruto said smugly as he looked over at Ryoko's burnt and stunned face.
"Was kinda' funny though." He chuckled.
A look of irritation appeared on big beardo. "Just who are you to interrupt an important duel overseen by the Jurai royal family?!"
"Ah, some other royal ding-bat who thinks he's in charge." Naruto groaned loudly.
"Watch your tongue boy!" Both beardo and the pink-haired prince shouted loudly.
"Oooooh, it is not a good idea to raise your voice." The blond kid chided. "Now then. Miss Washu; as you have obviously been told why we are here. Why don't we just skip this whole ordeal and just come with us?"
"No." She replied quickly and bluntly while crossing her arms and looking away.
"Not only looks like a child, but acts like one. " Naruto sighed heavily. "If you come with us, then we promise that no one here will be harmed. You have our word as a gentleman."
"Why should we believe you?!" Tenchi shouted loudly.
"Enough of this!" Beard-man shouted even louder. He looked over at the pink-haired prince who gave a nod before drawing his own sword and rushing towards Naruto.
Naruto rolled his eyes and looked at the charging man calmly. Right as the man got close, without warning, Naruto's upper body violently exploded into a shapeless mass of tentacles claws and fangs. The mass twisted and curled, ripped at the air and gnashed at nothing; all the while a horrendous roar coupled with liquid slimy noises filled the air.
The man's face lost all color as his brain processed what was in front of him. His eyes rolled up inside of his head as the man's body went limp and he hit the dock hard.
The horrid mass quickly came back together, shifted, twisted and reformed back into Naruto's original body, clothes and all. He clapped his hands together. "Now that that is over with-" He did not get to finish talking as an angry Ryoko decided it would be the perfect time to launch an attack at the boy.
Naruto leapt over the woman. "Come now Ryoko. Didn't your mother ever teach you to play nice?" His entire right arms transformed into a massive spike that was pressed very firmly against the back of the woman's neck.
"Now, can we finally explain ourselves?" Naruto asked with a sigh.
Tenchi sent the young boy a nasty glare.
"Right. We want to first apologize for our previous behavior." Naruto said with a respectful bow. "Our other has this bad habit of killing first, then eating, then finally asking questions after eating again."
He straightened. "We are Venom. A valued member of the mighty Symbiote Horde and the most dangerous thing on the planet." He boasted with a smug look. "We have come here for a number of reasons; one of those being if we can use the gems in that sword as a means of producing more food for our kind." He looked over at Washu. "The other reason is to convince the most intelligent person in the universe to help cure the daughter of our leader."
"No." Washu said bluntly again.
"We are sorry to say that you do not have an option in this matter." Naruto said as his body began to shift into his symbiotic form.
"Hold on now." Ayeka spoke up. "You said that you are a member of the Symbiote Horde correct?"
Naruto responded with a nod.
"I am sure that if your leader is sincere in their goals and in not harming us, that Little Washu would be more than happy to help."
"Speak for yourself." Washu shouted loudly. "I don't need you making my decisions for me."
"Come now." Naruto chided. "You should listen when royalty speaks." Another glare was sent his way.
"I am not going anywhere!" Washu shouted loudly.
Naruto wagged his finger at the girl. "Not even to save the life of a little girl?" A wicked gleam formed in his eyes. "After all; you used to be a mother, correct?"
In an instant; faster than Naruto could even fathom noticing, Washu appeared in front of Naruto and issued him such a powerful punch to the face that Naruto's head did a complete one-eighty. His neck snapped, Naruto's head lulled to the side and his body started to fall forward.
Washu clapped her hands together. "Well, that takes care of that." She looked over at Ryoko. "I am ashamed that you couldn't take care of that little brat." She scoffed.
"Well sorry mom.' Ryoko said sarcastically while an angry vein popped on her forehead.
"Can we finally get back to what is really important?!" Beardo said exasperated.
"Not just yet?" Naruto's voice spoke up. It was then everyone noticed his body was still standing. He raised his hands up to his twisted head before grabbing it and turning back around to it's proper position with a very loud crack.
"Also, that was very rude." Naruto said while cracking his neck back into a comfortable position. Without saying a word, Washu punch Naruto again, through his chest this time; leaving a large bloody hole in his chest.
Naruto looked down at the arm still inside him and looked back at Washu. "What are you hoping to achieve by hurting us?"
The red-haired girl glared back up at Naruto. "How do you know?" She seethed through gritted teeth.
Naruto cracked a wicked smile. "Oh Little Washu; we know just about everything about you and nearly everyone else here. Our kind exists all over this vast universe and our reach is even further."
He leaned in until his mouth was right by her ear. "And we know what happened to you and your child. But we can make it all better, we can make sure that will never happen again to you. We can protect you in ways you had only hopped for."
Washu looked away before slowly pulling her arm out of Naruto's gut. She looked down at the ground in thought for a moment before suddenly turning her back to Naruto.
She gave a heavy sigh. "Alright, I'll go." She quickly turned and jabbed a finger in Naruto's face. "Only if you keep your end of the bargain and only after I have finished with several of my experiments."
Naruto pretended to think as he had a short discussion with the voice in his head before giving a nod. "We don't see a problem with that." He sat himself down. "Besides, we could use a break."
He looked up. "Well, that doesn't look good." Naruto said. Everyone else looked up to see a small dot quickly getting larger and larger. Eventually the dot grew large enough to be recognized as a very large spaceship quickly falling down to the planet.
"You would be right." Washu said as she looked up as well. "I have a feeling I'm going to have more work to do." She looked at Naruto. "That won't be a problem, will it?" She snarled.
Naruto gave a shrug. "Take as long as you need. The longer our vacation, the better."
"Here." He looked over to see Sasami holding out an umbrella. Naruto took it with a smile and thanked the girl before opening it and putting it over his head; everyone else was handed one as well and did the same thing.
Right about then, the pink-haired man finally woke up from his fear-induced nap. "What happened?" He looked over at the sitting Naruto then over at Tenchi before jumping up and pointing an accusing finger at the teenager.
"It does not matter what form of trickery you use on me; I will not be swayed in my mission of saving the beautiful Princess Ayeka from this filthy hobble!" The man shouted loudly.
"Um." Tenchi said as he pointed straight up. The sound of the incoming object was getting louder and louder.
"I will not be fooled by your tricks again." The man shouted as he grabbed his sword yet again. "Now, prepare to have the honor of dying at the hands of true noble blood!"
The ship finally came down into the lake with a massive splash. A large wave of water washed up and over the dock and both Tenchi and the other guy were completely consumed by the water. The water quickly pulled back to reveal Tenchi still standing on the dock, but the pink-haired guy was gone. He could be seen a short distance away floating unconscious in the large waves caused by the spaceship's collision.
"Tenchi! Are you alright?!" Sasami shouted as she ran over to the soaked teenager.
Naruto leaned over to a still seething Ryoko. "What is going on anyway?" He only got a nasty glare from the woman.
"That guy over there is Ayeka and Sasami's father and the grand ruler of the planet Jurai. He is trying to get them to go back home." Washu explained. She then pointed at woman Naruto noticed from earlier. "These two are Ayeka and Sasami's mother's."
The dark haired woman gave a polite smile and nod while the woman with the same kind of hair as Sasami gave a much bigger smile and a small wave. Naruto gave a soft smile in return.
After some talking and cold glares from the women, the king of Jurai relented and allowed the girls to stay at the Masaki household. He and his wives both promptly teleported to their ship orbiting the planet. It took them a few minutes to realize they had forgotten the pink-haired guy. They had to come back down to retrieve his unconscious body.
Everyone went inside and went about their own business. Washu went into her room and Naruto tried to follow before having the door slam in his face.
"Hey!" Naruto shouted
"Don't come in." Washu's voice replied from the other side of the door.
"She likes her privacy." Tenchi said as he walked up the stairs.
'Now we wait.' Venom's voice echoed in Naruto's head. Naruto gave a heavy sigh before laying his self down on the couch, now bored. He staid there on that couch for a good hour before sitting up and swinging his legs over the side.
"We might as well let Lady Empress know that Washu agreed." He said to himself. He got up and went outside before reaching directly into his chest and pulling out the emergency kit he had been given before being sent on his mission.
Naruto opened the kit and saw several vials filled with various different colored liquids labeled according to use. One was filled with a dark purple liquid and was labeled CONTACT; Naruto too the vial and proceeded to uncork it. A foul smelling plume of gas burst forth from the vial and startled Naruto, causing him to drop the glass container.
The vial dropped and shattered when it hit the ground, the liquid spread across the ground before seeping in and staining the spot a dark purple. The ground started to turn a nasty color, like as if something dead had been laying on the spot for weeks. Cracks began to form on the ground as it became darker and darker until the ground had become a completely solid black.
Pieces of the ground started to shake before falling down further into the Earth; underneath was completely a completely dark and empty space. Naruto crouched down and leaned into the hole only to be greeted by more darkness.
Suddenly the sound of something gently fluttering met Naruto's ears. He turned his head around within the empty void, searching for the sound only to see nothing but the darkness around him.
"Yes?" A very very small and soft voice whispered in Naruto's left ear. Naruto quickly looked around, trying to find the source of the voice only for it to giggle softly in his right ear this time.
"You can't see me but I can see you." The small feminine voice whispered softly. "I am hear to help in any way I can. I can't do much but I can send messages and equipment you may need to give or receive."
"Um?" Naruto mumbled as he still tried to find the source of the voice. "Can you tell Lady Empress that Washu has agreed to help as long as Lady Empress holds up her end of the bargain?"
The voice giggled again. "I can do that. Is there anything else you need me to do?" It asked gently.
Naruto stopped looking around for a moment and started to think. It did not take long for Naruto to think of a request; and when he did, a wicked smirk slowly grew across his face.
"I might have a request or two." Naruto said with the same grin.
About a half hour later Naruto could be seen standing next to the hole with his arms crossed and tapping his foot.
"What ya' doin'?" Mihoshi asked as she suddenly appeared beside Naruto; startling the poor boy.
"Wha-what? How did...When did?" Naruto stammered as he tried to understand how this seemingly normal alien woman was able to completely bypass his symbiotic senses. The woman just gave him a happy smile while tilting her head to the side in a questioning manner.
Before Naruto could answer, the ground rumbled ominously, causing the blonde haired woman to loose her footing and fall flat on her face. The rumbling attracted the attention of everyone inside; including Washu.
"What is going on!?" Tenchi shouted as he rushed out of his house; his sword in hand. The rumbling increased as Naruto turned his attention back to the hole.
Without warning a geyser of chocolate candies and cakes erupted out of the dimensional hole. Naruto's eyes lit up as he gazed upon the massive amount of sugary treats gushing out of the Earth. Everyone else, however, was staring in shock. Except Mihoshi, she was staring with the same lit up expression as Naruto.
The deluge of chocolate fell on top of Naruto and eventually burying the kid in the food. The geyser continued to gush for what seemed like hours; until a black and yellow mass suddenly plugged the dimensional hole.
Naruto poked his head out of the stack of food to see what had stopped his dream while everyone else looked over as well. The two different colored mass started to swell and bulge around the edge of the small opening until violently bursting out and up into the sky, along with more of the food.
Everyone looked up in confusion, while Naruto's face lit up even more. The two masses turned out to be a single massive cake covered on chocolate riding on top of the already increasing geyser of candies and cakes.
After several minutes, the geyser swelled down and the dimensional hole closed; leaving a mount of sweets several stories tall. Everyone stared at Naruto with bewildered expressions; both Mihoshi and Sasami had stars in their eyes and were almost shaking in desire.
Naruto looked back at the group while shoving some of the food straight down his throat. "We hadn't planned on staying for so long and didn't pack any food so we asked for some."
"Wha-?" Ayeka stammered as her eyebrow twitched.
"Oh." Naruto said, realizing that they were not aware of his special needs. "Our kind needs to eat a specific food to survive. A food that you all have inside your soft and delicious brains."
"You mean...you eat?" Ayeka pointed at Naruto while covering her mouth in disgust and slowly backing into Tenchi. Naruto nodded with a smile as he tossed an entire cupcake into his mouth.
"Brains? Yes. Good thing for you all the good stuff we need in your brain is also in chocolate. So no worries for you right?" He chuckled. Everyone just gave the boy worried looks. "Look, we gave our word that none of you were going to be harmed by our kind. So your juicy little brains are safe."
Naruto noticed the looks both Mihoshi and Sasami were giving the food pile. "Go ahead." He said with a wave of his hand. Both girls gave shouts of glee before diving into the snack pile and grabbing as much as their arms could carry.
"Sasami!" Ayeka shouted in disdain at her sister's action. "A member of Jurai's royal family should not act like that!"
Tenchi chuckled. "Come on Ayeka. You can't say that doesn't look at least a little bit good."
"It's great!" Ryoko shouted as she popped her head out from within the pile; several bars of chocolate sticking out of her chewing mouth. "Come on now princess." Ryoko said in a mocking tone. "Your already large enough, a little wouldn't hurt." She laughed wickedly as Ayeka's face turned into one of anger.
Ayeka just glared at the other alien woman before turning her head away with a loud huff and stomping back indoors. Ryoko laughed loudly before a sly gleam appeared in her eyes and she started to open the front of her outfit.
She disappeared inside the mountain of food before shortly appeared next to Tenchi. "Oh no!" She said with false concern. "I got chocolate everywhere!" She pushed her breasts up in front of Tenchi's face, showing the thick puddle of chocolate that had pooled in between her ample bosom. "Would you like to help me clean up?" She asked with a seductive look in her eye.
The other two girls ignored what Ryoko was doing while Naruto popped his head out from within the giant cake and watched with some amusement. Tenchi's face turned a very bright red before he tried to stammer an excuse.
"Come on, Tenchi~." Ryoko whined as she gave the boy a more needy look. She suddenly wrapped her arms around Tenchi and pulled him in close.
"Ah, Ryoko!" Tenchi shouted in surprise. "Knock it off. Sasami is right there!" He shouted as he looked at the younger girl. Said girl stopped snacking for just a moment to look at Tenchi and give him a happy smile and a small wave.
Tenchi just gave a heavy sigh and looked down in defeat before somehow slipping out of Ryoko's grip and bolting into the house.
"Tenchi!" Ryoko whined as she quickly followed Tenchi indoors. Naruto watch the whole exchange before diving back into the pile of food and joining Mihoshi and Sasami in consuming as much as possible.
Nearly an hour later, all three were leaning against one another will full stomachs and satisfied expressions written on their faces. There was still a lot remaining in the food pile and Naruto was sure that by the same time tomorrow it would all be gone.
Naruto staid at the Masaki residence for a few weeks; being as patient as possible while Washu completed the few experiments she had left to do. All Naruto had to do was wait, and the boy being who he is, found that very hard to do. Despite the Masaki home being filled to the brim with aliens, there was actually very little to do.
Most of the day was spend lazing about while Tenchi either went off to school or into the fields. Sasami was almost constantly kept busy by cooking and playing with the little cat-rabbit creature called Ryo-Ohki. Ryoko did nothing but sleep and drink all day and then flirt with Tenchi every chance she got. Ayeka spent her time reading and watching bad soap operas on the television until Tenchi would get home; then she would yell and argue with Ryoko about the latter's behavior.
Washu spent all of her time in her lab and the very few times she was not in there, she was either eating with everyone during meal times or sitting with the rest of the girls when one of their many soap operas were on the television. Finally, there was Mihoshi; who did just about the same as Ayeka but with more tripping as well as reading what she called "comics-for-girls". She was even able to get little Sasami into those books as well.
Naruto tried constantly to find some way to keep his self busy; this included messing around with the residence of the Masaki household. An example of such being; when he decided to become an amorphous black blob and hide inside a cooking pot and scaring the living day lights out of Sasami when she came opened the lid. A black liquid suddenly rushing at you out of a cooking pot tends to do that to people.
He also enjoyed slipping between the cracks in the floor and dripping down on the residence whenever meal time came around. Naruto had a good laugh when he dripped down on a single strand and made an attempt to steal Mihoshi's food. Nobody ever expects a dripping black skeletal hand come reaching down from above. He was even able to get a laugh out of Ryoko as he pranked the household.
Other than that, Naruto did not do much else around the house. He did learn more about the people living inside the building just by simple eavesdropping, but nothing of any real interest.
"We're starting to miss home." Naruto grumbled to his self. "We're so boooorred."
"Will you be quiet?!" Ayeka whispered loudly before turning her attention back to the television. She and the rest of the girls were currently enraptured with one of the many drama shows that they all seemed to enjoy. Naruto just rolled his eyes before slumping over the couch and staring at the ceiling. The sounds from the television and the girls eating filled the otherwise silent room.
With some encouragement from his inner demon, a rather wicked smile wormed it's way onto Naruto's young face. He looked over at the girls and saw that they were all way too focused on the tv before slowly sliding off the couch and slowly crawling his way up the stairs. He quickly found the door to Tenchi's room and gave a quick look around to make sure nobody was nearby before slowly sliding the door open and slipping inside.
He staid down low. Naruto noticed that the sword was no longer where it once was.
'Smart boy.' Venom muttered. Naruto gave a small nod in agreement before starting to shift through Tenchi's room. He looked through the teenager's desk, in his closet and within his drawers. It was only after shifting through the stuff underneath Tenchi's bed did Naruto find what he was looking for. Several dirty, adult magazines.
'What are you planning?' Venom muttered to his host. Naruto acted as if he did not hear the alien's words and simply smiled widely. A very wicked glint appeared within Naruto's eyes before he quickly shoved the dirty magazines into his jacket and quickly crawled out of Tenchi's room; sliding the door shut behind him.
Naruto quickly glanced down either end of the hall and saw no one; he could still hear the television downstairs. With a nasty smile, Naruto started crawl along the floor until he approached the door that lead to Ayeka and Sasami's room. He cracked the door open and slid inside. He placed several of the magazines in some strategic places before sliding out and closing the door behind him.
'We see now.' Venom chuckled lightly. 'This should liven things up a bit.'
Naruto crawled further down the hall until he made to the bathroom. Again, he cracked the door open, slid in, and placed the remaining few magazines behind the toilet. With the same smile he had throughout the entire endeavor , Naruto crawled back to and down the stairs and slid his way back onto the couch. Only a tiny giggle escaped his lips as he got back into place.
"Shh!" Ayeka shushed Naruto, some how only hearing his small giggle out of all the things he has done. Now all he had to do, was wait.
Eventually the television shows ended and the girls went their separate ways until Tenchi returned from school. Naruto helped Sasami set the table and noticed Ayeka go up to her room to get ready, a small smirk appeared on his face.
When Sasami called everyone down for dinner, everyone but Ayeka arrived at the table in a very quick manner. Sasami had to call for her sister once more before the sounds of her making her way downstairs could be heard.
When the young woman was finally in view, her face was one of disbelief and shock.
"Is something wrong Miss Ayeka?" Nobuyuki, Tenchi's father, asked when he say Ayeka's expression.
His words appeared to snap Ayeka out of her dazed state. "Oh, no no, nothing sir." She chuckled nervously before taking her seat. All the while, Naruto's eyes were watching her every movement; her body language screaming what he already knew.
As they all ate, Ayeka kept giving quick glances over to Tenchi with a blushing face all the while. Whenever his eyes would meet her's, the girl would quickly look back down at her food. This did not go unnoticed by other people sitting at the table.
"The Hell is wrong with you Princess?" Ryoko asked bluntly while slurping up her food.
"Whatever d-do you mean?" Ayeka asked politely while refusing to look at anyone.
Ryoko glared at Ayeka then looked over at Tenchi before glaring back at the princess again. "Hmm. You've been looking over at my Tenchi all through dinner and I much don't like it."
Ayeka retained her calm demeanor as she wiped her mouth. "Lord Tenchi does not belong to you, Ryoko. Furthermore what I do and who I look at and how is not any of your concern."
Seeing the young lady start to stand up to leave the table, Naruto sniffed the air louder and decided to speak up. Hearing him, Ryoko did the same before her eyes suddenly fixed cleanly on Ayeka and her eyes narrowed.
"P-Please excuse me!" Ayeka shouted hurriedly before standing and quickly walking back upstairs.
"Ayeka?!" Sasami shouted before attempting to stand. She was stopped when Washu grabbed her sleeve and gave her a look. Sasami sat back down but sent a worried glance up at the top of the stairs.
'Shall we play some more?'
Naruto smiled wickedly before continuing to eat, acting as if nothing had happened at all.
"I wonder whats wrong with her." Nobuyuki said while reaching for more of the delicious food that Sasami had prepared. A pinch on the back of the hand from said little girl forced the older man to pull his hand back and stop being so greedy. Ryoko continued to glare up at the stairs.
After dinner, everyone did what they normally did after said meal. After a little while, the girls decided to all go to the bath since; apparently, Washu had created some sort of intradimensional bath that only the girls could use that was large enough to house the entire Masaki home and still have some room for a storage shed.
After all the girls went in, Naruto silently strolled over and sat down right next to the bathroom door. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before focusing all he could on his hearing. For a while, all Naruto could hear was the random chatter of the girls talking and nothing else of interest.
"Hey Ryo-Ohki, what do you have there?" The voice of Sasami caught Naruto's attention. "A magazine?"
The cat/rabbit like creature gave a happy meow as a reply.
"What is this?" Sasami asked as the sounds of her looking through the magazine where heard. Naruto could only imagine the expression on the young girl's face.
"I-is this one of Tenchi's father's magazines?" She whispered to herself. "O-oh my!"
"What do you have there Sasami?" Mihoshi's voice reached Naruto's ears. He could mentally see the young girl trying to hide the magazine behind her back.
"Come on now, let me see." Mihoshi whined.
"N-n-no." Sasami said in return.
The sounds of a light struggle was heard before Mihoshi spoke up again. "Oh my!" Her voice shuttered slightly. "Wh-where did you find this? This is not something a young girl like you should be looking at."
"Ryo-Ohki found it. I thought it was one of Tenchi's father's magazines." Sasami tried to reason.
"Let me take a look." Ryoko's voice suddenly echoed. Naruto could imagine the blue-haired woman snatching the magazine right out of Mihoshi's hands.
"Hm?" Naruto could hear the sound of sniffing. "This doesn't smell like him." She sniffed again."Or that old man." Ryoko sniffed the magazine a few more times. A pause could be felt all the way through the dimensional rift and bathroom and even into the hallway.
"This is Tenchi's." Ryoko said slowly with a small bit of shock in her voice. A dead silence echoed from the bath and felt like it filled the entire house. "Well, at least he has good taste." Ryoko chuckled slightly in an effort to break the silence.
No one responded for a while.
"Tenchi's a growing boy." Washu finally spoke up. "I'd be more surprised if he didn't have something like that laying around. Especially with a house full of women."
"But why not come to me for that?" Ryoko said with a hot tone. "I could satisfy a whole lot more than that magazine ever could." Naruto could just imagine that hot-tempered woman striking a pose as she talked.
"The only thing you would satisfy would be his nightmares." Naruto could hear Ayeka mutter under her breath.
"What was that?!" Ryoko roared.
Naruto could just imagine Ayeka giving a smug look before speaking. "But to think that Lord Tenchi would have things like this laying around. It just doesn't seem like him."
"This is a bathroom after all." Washu stated. "He might have accidentally left it in here earlier today when he was done using it."
A mischievous smirk appeared on Naruto's face as he imagined the blushing expressions on the faces of all the girls. The sound of someone approaching force Naruto to loose focus. It was none other than Tenchi himself, and the boy had a worried expression on his face as he looked around searching for something.
"Looking for something?" Naruto asked, not even pretending to hide his smile.
Tenchi just gave Naruto a look and did not reply; he just continued on his way and into his bedroom. Naruto almost burst out laughing before the sounds of the girls getting ready to leave the bathing area caught his attention. Without really thinking, Naruto activated his natural camouflaging ability and remained where he was as the girls left and went their separate ways.
