AC: Hello everyone. Sorry it took so long for the release of the next chapter, but I was in a big break, but I am back and ready to continue.

You can thank Buddyfight Ace series to bring me back. I'll be back in the one-week chapter per week, with my other Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series.

One comment about the current season of Buddyfight. I think it's a great series with many interesting characters established. I really like the relationship between Yuga and Ranma and the tension that is starting to appear between them. One thing they one up in the series is the soundtrack, which too a huge step upward in terms of quality compared to previous seasons. It also did a few things to show that it won't be the same, as per example that Gargantua didn't suddenly leave Yuga for an episode. Ranma doesn't have a buddy and seems to go in the Kiri side of things, but he is already best friend with Yuga. It's well shown in the second episode, as they have a strong bond between them as if Ranma was part of the family.

If things go south between them, the drama will be much stronger than with Kiri. As many comments has been given, I hope Ranma get a buddy before their relationship is strained.

In other words, this season starts much stronger than the previous one.

The last thing I want to say is that after this chapter and the next one, they will become longer, but I'll try to update it once per week.

With this out of the way, let's go on with this chapter.

Chapter 128: A Warning

Gao was doing his homework and was lightly struggling with it. By his side, Drum was doing the same thing while grumbling in frustration.

As for Jackknife, he was watching the duo studying while planning on how to save Tasuku from the forces of Azi Dahaka, it would have been much simpler if he was corrupted by the Dark Core. He thought but knew it wouldn't be the case. He gazed at them and shook his head, he was tired of beating himself up with dark thought and focused on the hope he managed to obtain, remember that Tasuku called you Jack. That means that he still greatly cares for me! No matter what, I must believe in that word and do everything I can. Because I won't fail. He repeated that sentence and managed to lightly smile when Drum put his claws on his head.

"I hate studying! We must save the world and do this stupid thing! I don't care about this Edo period! I don't care about history! I don't care about this Nobunaga guy!" he expressed his frustration, "None of this is important an even less right now!"

Jackknife lightly tapped the skull of the orange dragon and replied, "It is, if you want to stay on Earth and history is important. If we don't care a bout the past, we are bound to repeat mistakes. Many things going now are related to the past."

Drum sighed, "I know, but right now. This school thing is just so unimportant."

"I know Drum," Gao agreed, "But after we stop Azi Dahaka and Tenchi, we have exams to pass."

"You are thinking about the exams!" Drum yelled, scandalised. Even so, he started to chuckle, Gao already believe that we will stop him.

Gao's cellphone rang, and he replied, "Mushi Mushi."

"-Gao. I need to talk with you right now,-" the voice said.

"Tasuku! Are you alright?" the boy immediately asked his friend, worried about him.

"-Gao. I want you to meet me at the park in an hour. There is something I want to talk with you and it's important. I also want you to come alone.-" he said before handing up.

Gao closed his cellphone and gazed at the dragons. He stood up and said, "Tasuku asked to talk with me alone," he adjusted his jacket and replied, "And I'm going to meet him right now."

"But-" the two dragons couldn't protest.

"This is my chance to talk him out of it," the boy replied. He gazed at them, "I don't believe he plans to capture me like that. This is Tasuku we are talking about," he gave a thumb up and left the house.

Drum grunted, "This sucks."

"I know Drum," Jackknife replied as he closed his eyes, "But I hope he succeeds or manages to make Tasuku doubt his decision."

Gao walked in the park alone, just as Tasuku asked. The boy wondered if Tasuku's new buddy would be there with him or they would both be alone. He reached the park and saw Tasuku, without his Purgatory Armor. He was in his previous clothes.

"Gao," the blue haired boy whispered as they gazed at each other's.

"Jackknife told us," the boy replied.

Tasuku closed his eyes and his lips pointed down, "I know. I didn't come here to talk about Jackknife Gao."

"What do you want to talk about Tasuku?" Gao asked as he walked by his side.

"Not here. Let's go in the woods please," the boy replied to his friend.

The boy nodded, and they went into the small woods. The two were apprehensive of what was about to come and they both felt the tension between them. The two avoided looking at each other's. When Tasuku stopped, his friend did the same.

Tasuku grabbed his arm as he gazed at the ground while Gao gazed at the right, as nervous as his friend.

Gao wanted to bring it out and asked, "Tasuku. What do you want to talk about?"

His friend grasped his courage and looked at his friend and replied, "There is many things I want to talk to you about Gao," he put his hand on his chest, "First. I know you are trying to stand in Azi's way Gao. And I must tell you to stop that. If you stand in his way, Tenchi is going to win the elections."

Gao was taken aback by the words and lightly frowned, "Tasuku. Azi Dahaka is not planning something good. He's going to take control of Japan," he took a step forward, "The dark dragon is planning something worst than you believe."

Tasuku frowned and replied, "You don't know what the plan is and everything in his mind. It's not because he's a dark dragon that meant that he is something evil. The Buddy Police Force is just a too used by Tenchi now, making sure that they can't help and protect the citizens. He wants the monsters to be gone and Hinako won't win."

Gao couldn't reply at those words and Tasuku turned around and took a step forward, taking some distance from the boy.

The blue haired boy added, "Gao. I know you are believing that you are doing the right thing, but you know what is really going on," He turned towards his friend, "That's why I'm with the Disasters. They are the one can make sure that Tenchi lose, not Hinako and the Buddy Police Force," he sighed.

Gao shook his head negatively, "No Tasuku. There-"

The blue haired boy cut his friend, "That's enough about it. I've said everything I have to say, and you might have nothing else to say."

"Tasuku, about Ja-"

"Please, I don't want to talk about him," the boy cut his friend again. There was pain in his voice and didn't want to confront his father figure.

"B-"

"Don't!" Tasuku yelled as he cleaned his eyes, "Please… Just don't."

Gao looked down and nodded, "Anything else."

Tasuku turned around and said, "Gao. I know you are kind and wants to help everyone, just like me. That's why I want to ask you to join the Disasters."

The iris of Gao's eyes shrunk when he heard it, "Tasuku! What do you mean? You want me to leave my friends behind!"

"I know it's difficult, but the Disaster are the good guy in all this. They are the best who can stand in Tenchi's way," the blue haired boy replied as he approached his friends.

Gao couldn't reply at those words. He wanted to convince his friend that they were the enemy, but Tasuku wouldn't see it.

"Gao. I don't want to fight you. That's why I've called you and asking you this," he told him.

"Tasuku…" Gao lightly smiled, you didn't change that much and that's what I have to believe, "I don't want to fight you too. Not again."

"That's why I want you to join us Gao," he showed his hand, "I know it will be painful… It still hurts me to leave my friends and Jack behind, but sometimes, the painful decisions are the best one."

Gao didn't grab the hand, "I'm sorry Tasuku, but I can't. I can't leave my friends behind. I can't leave Drum behind. Not after everything we've been through. Not after Jackknife has been through!" he ignored Tasuku's protest, "I can't leave my family behind! Mom, dad, my sis and grand-ma. I know they will be worried sick for me and mom will punish me really hard if I do that."

The boy didn't immediately reply, but his hand returned to his side. The boy gazed down for a few seconds, before looking back at his friend, "I understand. I don't really have a family to leave behind… Except him. Then I have one last thing to tell you Gao. When we begin to act, just stay out of our way. Don't try and fight us, because I will not let you stop me. I won't let anyone stop me Gao. This is for the best."

The boy started walking away, "Wait Tasuku!"

The boy stopped.

Gao declared, "Thanks for the warning, but I won't accept it. I will not let Azi Dahaka and Tenchi win. We might have to fight against each other's again. But we will be victorious Tasuku. I promise we will be victorious," he revealed the sun of his jacket, "Because I am the Mighty Sun Fighter. I will make sure to protect everyone and I won't ever give up."

The boy put his hands on his blue hair and said, "Of course you wouldn't change your mind," he sighed and replied, "As the Purgatory Knight, I won't lose to you Gao. No matter what, I will prevail against you," Tasuku turned around and walked away, he stopped and sadly gazed at his friend, "It was nice talking to you. I hope you won't hate me when I won."

"I hope the same," Gao replied.

Tasuku walked away, before Gao did the same and returned home.

Drum was nervously walking left and right as he gazed at the door. He held his words and waited for Gao's return, but wasn't sure if everything will go well.

Jackknife was sitting on the ground, gazing at the ground, holding some hope that Tasuku might come back, but doubted that his hope would come true.

The door opened, and the orange dragon quickly dashed in front of his buddy and loudly said, "Gao! How did it go? Are you alright? What happened?"

Gao nervously chuckled at the questions, but Jackknife had disappointment on his face, "I'm sorry Jackknife. Tasuku is stubborn."

"You can tell me that. How's Tasuku? Does it eat well?" the green dragon asked.

"He's fine. I believe that he is eating well and…" he resumed what happened between them, before his lips pointed down, "It's clear that we are going to fight against each other's. Eventually, we will have to fight and win, if we want to help Tasuku."

Drum sighed as he put his hands on his flanks, "It is inevitable then. Gao, are you ready to fight your friends? We also have to challenge Kiri if we want to save them."

"I am. Even the Mighty Sun Fighter had to fight his friends to help them. Sometimes, words aren't enough," he gazed at the kitchen, "You know. My big brother made those manga's, telling me that it would help me," he made a sad chuckled, "He is so right."

"Gao. When the time comes, I will do everything I can to help Tasuku. The reason he doesn't really want to talk about me is because he cares about me. It must hurt him to think if what he did and what happened to me. That's why I'll fight by your side."

They nodded when they heard Gao's mother telling them that diner was ready. They went in the kitchen and ate.
