The day as come for justice to strike. After waiting for so long, Commander I had a chance to strike back against those who tried to destroy the Buddy Police Force, those who pushed Tasuku to join Azi Dahaka in his plot to conquer the world, those who were ready to murder anyone or ruined many lives so Tenchi could become the Prime Minister and sent the monsters back to their world.

It didn't matter if Tenchi was right or wrong. It didn't matter if the world was in danger by monsters coming from other worlds. Because those cannot be stopped now. Other worldly beings discovered the Earth and the wonders that came with it. What matters was for justice to strike. Even if Tenchi was right, the way he used to protect the world was one covered with blood, corruptions and treason. Those foundations were weak, and justice was ready to break it apart.

Chapter 135: Shido Birthday Part 1

Commander I was in standby with many policemen and policewomen with him. They were all geared up if they faced resistance. It was still the day as the sun was still shining on Japan, witnessing what was transpiring.

The man held his pistol in his hands, watching the location where Shido's birthday was occurring. The man knew that the boy was siding with the Azi Dahaka, but the motivation was unknown, quick the opposite of his father belief. There was a hint of disconnection there that made the man uneasy. Sueroku Shido loved his son and was protective of him. He knew that directly, as he worked with the man for a while. He sighed, remembering all the times he brought up his son with all the pride he had for him. It was one mystery he never really thought, but now, it was in his mind. Why would he side with Seichi and Tenchi, if his son had a buddy? Knowing enough about Gallows, it was possible that the Darkness Dragon was a terrible buddy, but nothing was certain.

His cellphone rang and cut his thought, "Mushi Mushi."

"-Commander I. This is Kisaragi. We are in position in front of Tenchi house. We have confirmed that he was there. We are also preparing ourselves right now, so you must remain on standby right until the signal.-"

"We will. We are waiting for it," Commander I replied as he adjusted his glasses.

"-Good. That's all for now,-" the communication cut.

The man looked at the building and was glad that the Prime Minister acted quickly when he received everything and proof of everything Tenchi did. The higher ups might be aware of it, but they acted fast and Tenchi couldn't escape. If he tried, everything will be on the news. That scenario was only possible if they were with Tenchi's side. If it wasn't the case, it was the best scenario they could get.

"The end is near everyone. Once we have the signal, we arrest the suspects. Remember, we have the Prime Minister authorisation, so make sure they knew it," he warned them.

"Yes sir!" they replied.

For now, they waited.

If there was one thing that Magaroku Shido was currently hating right now, was that none of his friends came. By friends, it was only Sophia and, when he was honest, wasn't sure how they really were. Still, he was glad she wasn't there, with how much members of the Buddy Police Force presents, it made him uneasy.

He remembered a threat letter he received, claiming that someone might take his life. That really scared him and his father, while his buddy was chuckling. It was a few days ago and they were there for his protection. At the same time, it was ruining the party he planned, which was a much simpler birthday.

With the little friends he had, it was always a day he spent with his father, usually. It was one of the few times they were together, and nothing could interrupt their time spent together. It was what made him feel like a special day.

He never spoke about it, Sophia told him that no one would believe that with his usual attitude and his level of annoyance.

"That's a crowded place the HQ," Gallows commented as he ate a piece of cake, "So sugary."

His buddy was another thing that he hated about his birthday. That Darkness Dragon made sure to be the main problem right now. He didn't do much, but his own presence was a shadow that was made to waste his life. That's how it felt.

Shido sighed and looked around. He saw everyone talking together of stuff that wasn't really in his interest, or of the Disasters. So, he had nothing interesting. The worse was that he couldn't see his father, as he had to talk with Seichi, why does he have to talk with that guy? Why is everything ruined? He sighed in defeat.

Meanwhile, Stella was looking around, making sure to not be suspicious by casually talking with the members of the Buddy Police Force. It was easy since they were present early on and weren't like Seichi or Sueroku. She did notice that Sueroku son was not enjoying the current situation. She knew enough to guess that his birthday was pretty much considered ruined. She saw Gallows and frowned, knowing that this Darkness Dragon was a danger, as he was serving Azi Dahaka who planned to conquer the Earth. She knew enough to be aware of what was coming in the elections but remained quiet about it. It would be way too dangerous to let Seichi be aware of it, and lending words to Tenchi later. If she had to give her own opinion, she rather had a three-headed darkness dragon as Prime Minister than Tenchi, but that option was a bad one as she knew the plot.

She finished talking with someone and went elsewhere. She noticed Takihara and his buddy talking with other members of the Buddy Police Force and let him be. She hoped that the operation would begin soon and end all of this, while knowing that the boy's birthday will end in a very horrible way. She saw the end and it would be tragic for the kid, but it had to be done.

Takihara finished talking and joined Stella, "So… It's a nice party, right?" his voice was uncertain, not because of what was to come, but because he felt like he was sarcastic.

"Not really, even Shido thinks it's bad, just look at him," she replied.

The boy was looking around for his father.

"We are going to break his life soon," Takihara commented.

"We have to do it in the name of justice. Heroes cannot always save everyone without hurting some. It is for the best of everyone," Card Burn replied.

His buddy nodded as they mentally prepared themselves for the moment.

"Stella. Do you think the threat for Shido is real?" Takihara asked.

"That death messages?" she thought about it, "I'm not sure. It could either be real or not. Even if it's not really, knowing what Tenhi did, he could be behind it, so he could win the elections, just like what he did to his own party with Tsukikage."

"That is the worse," the man grunted.

They noticed Senchi coming their way and they lightly smiled.

"Commander," the trio said.

"What are you doing together? Weren't you supposed to watch outside, just in case?" Senchi asked Takihara and his buddy.

"Sorry. I'm going outside right now," the man said as his buddy joined him.

Stella commented, "You didn't order them to watch outside."

"We need to stay on guard. Some monster lovers are ready to assassinate a child to prove their point against Tenchi," the superior replied as he walked away.

More like Tenchi supporters, she thought, but didn't say. She decided to keep talking with everyone else and wait for the moment to strike.

Commissioner Kisagari was inside a truck and watch from the cameras the base of Tenchi's party. He had a communication device on his ears and listened to everything his men were saying.

"Can you confirm us that Tenchi's inside?" Kisagari asked one of the policemen.

The man in question nodded, "Yes. We confirm that he is inside and currently talking with someone else. From everything we obtained, we know that there is a man named Gara who participate in some dangerous project that had something to do with Tsukikage, but nothing specific. I think they were good at hiding the details, so we know only the name of that man."

He waited for more information's about everything that was inside the building and if the man had any ways of escaping. He had the report of the prosecutor and they were ready for everything. They had the right to arrest the man who tried to become Prime Minister for many crimes that will put him in jail for a very long time.

"We confirm that there is nothing that allows him to escape from the air," someone told him.

"Good. Everyone gets ready. It's time to begin the operation. Only shoot if they are threatening your life and get Tenchi," Commissioner Kisagari ordered.

"Yes sir!"

Gallows continued eating the cake as he joyfully commented, "It's so sweet. I can't believe you just one piece of it and not the entire cake. With such tastes, I can't believe anyone can resist it."

"I rather not have another sugar rush like last time," the boy replied as he crossed his arms.

"Hum?" the Darkness Dragon grumbled confused by the reply. He decided to ignore it, it was surely a human thing and wasn't interested that much in those.

The father of the boy joined him and said, "You seemed bored," he said as he sat by his side.

"Of course, it is. It's the worse birthday I could have," he gazed at everyone and his buddy who kept eating. He crossed his arms and grumbled, "Only because someone hates you," he looked at his father and asked, "Why are they even threatening you? You are just under Senchi command."

His father mentally sighed, he never thought to his son about his part in the elections and that he sided with Tenchi, because of Gallows. If the monster was nearby, he couldn't say anything. That Darkness Dragon wouldn't hesitate to hurt them if he made out loud his belief. He knew that there were many things Senchi didn't tell him, as a policeman, he had the instinct to feel it when someone was holding off a few details, but his mission for the safety of his son mattered more, "Don't worry too much," the man gave a small smile, "Once everything is over, we will celebrate the party as we usually do," he noticed Senchi coming, "Anyway, I have to go. I'll come back later."

Shido watched his father walking away and sighed. He had no one to talk too, except his buddy, but he rather avoided it. It would just turn out bad for him.

Gallows commented, "I have a feeling that things will become interesting very soon," he snickered.

"What do you mean?" the boy asked.

"There are a few humans who are getting tense now, but it's not about the possible one who might kill you, but something else. That woman, she looks like eager for something to begin. I can see that her muscles are ready to take into action."

The boy was confused, as he didn't know who he was talking about and couldn't see that it was Stella who was getting tense.

"As long as it isn't an assassin coming for me, it won't be that bad," the boy said, but with a bit of uneasiness now.

"They wouldn't get you before me, Sha. Sha. Sha," the Darkness Dragon replied as he played with his claws.

Shido remained quiet, not really believing that his buddy would do anything to protect him. As he closed his eyes and sighed, he heard something and then, chaos. Many questions came in his mind and wondered what was going on, when he heard, "This is the police! Everyone on the ground right now!"

AC: This is the end of this chapter. It is a short one since I have been busy playing all Daganrompa 1 in a few days after work. Guess I got too much engrossed in the story.

Next Chapter: Shido Birthday Part 2. It will be bigger and have more action in it.
