There was only four days before the elections started. With Tenchi out of the way, arrested and soon to be prosecuted for his participations in murders, attempted murders and other illegal things he did to win the elections, only two candidates remained. Hinako and Elf to become the Prime Minister Of Japan.

Gao and his family watched the new pool and for now, it was a close one with Elf being in advance for now. The event with the Buddy Police Force and its reputation was weak and wouldn't recover in time for the elections. They knew that they had to act to prevent Azi Dahaka to use Elf and slowly take control over the world the legal way.

"I still can't believe that dragon is doing things your way," Drum grunted as he crossed his arms.

"He could just take over the world with his army," Hanako thought.

"He wouldn't. The other worlds would act, and it will by his world against the others. He would be outnumbered in numbers and powers. Azi Dahaka and his soldiers cannot handle every type of fighters of each world and their style," Halberd resumed.

"Also, I believe that doing it your way has more advantage in long term than short one. Controlling a world will always have some part of his population to resist and revolt against the new ruler but playing it with the rules of your world means that this resistance will decrease by a lot. Dragons lives for a long time and Azi has pretty much all the time he has," Tenbu resumed while nodding to himself.

"So, we have four days to stop Azi Dahaka and prevent that Darkness Dragon from controlling Japan," Drum resumed as he looked at his buddy.

"We are ready to stop them anyway," Gao said with a smile.

"It will be difficult, but we are ready!" Drum yelled as he raised his hands.

Chapter 140: The Clash Of Friends Part 1

Tasuku was practicing his sword fight against Demios who was holding back his strength, as he would overwhelm the boy as a dragon. The other Purgatory Knights were watching and evaluation the boy as one of their own. Knowing a little about the limitations of a human, they had to lower their expectation of them knew buddyfighter. If there was one thing most of them agreed, it was the fact that they boy was a strong-willed one and took his training seriously, compared to another dragon.

As they thought of that, their gazed locked on Purgatory Knight Troubadour, who still looked more serious than the usual. That took the others by surprised but remembered that there were still unsolved issues between Demios and Troubadour.

"What is it?" Troubadour asked as he gazed at his brother in arms.

None of them replied at his question.

"If it's about me and Demios, I am over it," he didn't go farther. Still. It was that boy who wounded Jackknife and I went right on Demios. I was so sure it was him and not Davide and his buddy. You had much more reason to put that green dragon out of the picture than that boy. Guess I don't know you that well, he ended his thought and wondered how and when he should admit his mistake and his misbehavior that wasn't acceptable of a Purgatory Knight. He watched the duo training for a while, until the door opened.

They turned around and all frowned as they saw Davide and his buddy at the entrance.

Tasuku and Demios did the same when they heard the boy calling them, "Tasuku."

The boy and his buddy frowned at the new comer, who gazed back at them with a small arrogant smirk that annoyed them to no end. Eventually, the boy called his sword away and putting the card back into his deck, feeling to tempt to use it, knowing what that boy did to Jackknife, "What is it?"

"There is something important you have to do. Azi Dahaka asked that you do something important."

The boy approached them and asked once again, "What is it?" while barely containing his anger towards the other boy.

Davide lightly grinned, provoking the other one and said, "Gao returned to the Buddy Police Force. We saw that Commander I was back in business and that means bad news for Azi."

"Azi Dahaka. Someone like you should use his full name," Demios grunted, tapping his sword with his index.

The boy pouted, "Azi Dahaka. With Gao by their side, it will be troublesome. The boy and his friends are great risk and our master," gazing at the leader of the Purgatory Knight as he said the word master, "wants you two to capture Gao and bring him here. He will never join us of his own will and might defeat everyone one by one. It's best that you don't come back empty ended."

Tasuku frowned at the thought of forcing Gao to join them, knowing that his friend had made up his mind and wouldn't never change on his own will, "Why would he ask us to do this?"

"As his 'friend', you have better change to defeat him and his buddy," the boy simply explained.

Demios let out a quiet grunt, no liking this at all. Despite that, he was loyal to Azi Dahaka and would never disobey a direct order, "We shall do as demanded."

His buddy gazed at him, before nodding, "Tell him that we will be back with Gao soon."

The duo walked outside while Davide went the other way. When Tasuku was closed he whispered, "You will regret hurting Jack Davide. I can assure you of this."

Davide face didn't change as his grin remained. When he was away, his buddy commented, "That wasn't an empty threat Davide."

"That's why I told them that Azi Dahaka he wanted Gao at all cost," Davide replied, just hope that it fails and maybe dies. That will take care of some problem. He kept walking away while his buddy chuckled, liking the twisted plan.

Troubadour observed the boy, missing the little conversation that came and frowned. He didn't like the boy. Davide was the one who wounded Jackknife and caused the discord among the Purgatory Knight. He corrected himself and thought that it was his own fault for mistrusting his leader to a sadistic boy like Davide.

He grunted, knowing he couldn't do anything for now. He wondered what he should do, as no clear answer entered in his mind.

Gao was home and was eating dinner with his family and the dragons residing with them. Drum was happily eating his pudding with his checks turning red and thinking, best pudding ever! He noticed that there wasn't anything left to eat and waited for his buddy to finish, before doing what they had to do. One thing he despised on Earth like most human children, homework.

Once his buddy finished eating, they went into the chamber and did their homework on their own side.

Jackknife joined them a little later, looking at the two. He couldn't help but thing back at the time he was with his buddy and, as he saw Tasuku, his son. After being together for so long, before brutally separated, he still had trouble recovering from that fact. It was so quick and fast for the green dragon, I failed to see the split coming. Even so, there is hope. You called me Jack. I know I can make you see through if I went through your stubbornness. He sighed and looked outside.

It was then that Gao's cellphone rang. The boy grabbed it and asked, "Moshi Moshi," he gasped before frowning, "Tasuku?" Drum turned his head around and frowned.

That got the attention of the green dragon who immediately listened closely to their conversation. He managed to hear the voice of his ex-buddy, "-And you have to come here with your buddy.-"

"Why outside the city?" Gao replied.

"-Because we won't get any unwanted attention Gao. You have to come as soon as possible and be ready.-"

Gao hanged up and frowned as he grabbed his deck case.

"What's going on?" Drum asked while Jackknife flew by the side of Gao.

"Tasuku called. He challenged us to a buddyfight. He said that I shouldn't avoid it," the boy replied seriously as he clenched on his deck case.

Jackknife wondered what was going on, "Why did he say that?"

"What does he want?" the red dragon asked.

"He wants to defeat me in a fight and also to capture me," he replied to the dragons, "It's obvious that he wants to bring me to Azi Dahaka, why? I don't know. If I refuse to come, he will come here. I have to fight," he looked outside and wondered how it came to this again. It was the second time he fought his best friend seriously.

"So, we have to win, no matter what," Drum replied as he psyched himself up, knowing that Demios was his adversary.

Gao opened the window when the green dragon yelled, "Wait Gao!"

He turned around and asked, "What?"

"Gao. There is something extremely important I must ask out of you. I want you to listen to me and please, follow my plan. There is something I must do, and I can't do it without you. Will you please consider it?"

The boy looked at his buddy. The red dragon lightly nodded, also wondered what the plan was, "Tell us."

The green dragon closed his eyes and lightly smiled, "Thank you Gao."

Tasuku waited in the woods, outside of the city with his buddy.

"Do you think they will come Tasuku?" Demios asked with his arms crossed.

"Of course, he will. He wouldn't avoid this challenge and back down. That's now who my friend is," he is the Sunfighter, the boy thought as he tapped on his deckcase nervously, we are once again going to fight against each other's for real. It was something the boy wanted to avoid, but it wasn't possible. They were on different side and were enemies once again. The difference was that it wasn't as simple as before. Their belief would soon clashed, and it was best to end it all.

"What is it?" the dark dragon asked as he kneeled near the boy.

"This is the second time I'm going all out against my friend. Last time, I fought to protect Jack… This time, I-" he couldn't say it. It was for a completely different reason.

"It's to capture Gao, as per order of Azi Dahaka," the darkness dragon concluded as he put his hand on the shoulder of the boy, "You have to be ready and give everything you got Tasuku. One second of hesitation can cost us everything. We cannot afford to lose."

"Yes," the boy nodded, remembering his mission and why he had to do this.

They heard something and stood up. They saw Gao coming with his buddy and Jackknife. The face of the boy paled at the sight of Jackknife. The boy used his card to equip his armor and hid his face behind his helmet. He couldn't show a sign of weakness to his old father figure.

"You came in group," Demios frowned.

"Don't worry about it. He just didn't want to stay behind," Gao replied.

"I hope you are ready to fight me Gao," the boy said under the helmet of his armor, showed his deck.

"We are ready Tasuku," his friend replied, looking seriously at his friend without any hesitation. He also prepared his deck case.

Drum sat on the ground and crossed his arms, to the blue haired boy surprised and Demios. Jackknife took his real form and was ready to fight.

"You have to fight me Demios," Jackknife said.

Gao's deck case transformed into the Core Gadget that was once used by Tasuku.

The boy couldn't find words as he wasn't expecting his friend to fight with his father figure. He couldn't find words.

"Jackknife insisted to challenge you two Tasuku. So, Jackknife is also my buddy," Gao simply explained as he activated his buddy skill. It was the same that Tasuku used before.

"And it is what you asked Tasuku. Right now, our hearts are beating together Tasuku! My boy, we are going to defeat you! I will show you that our bond cannot be destroyed by anyone!"

"You are the one who broke that bond Jackknife," Demios said as he drew his sword. He could feel nervous about the presence of Jackknife and fighting against him. He was aware that the bond wasn't destroyed.

"Maybe… But I shall be the one to mend it!" the green dragon yelled with conviction, "I won't mourn anymore! I won't stay pitiful anymore! I must stand and fight! Because I believe in our bond! I believe in Tasuku! I know him better than you! That's why I will make you realise the mistake you've made! You will realise that you took the wrong path! Let's do this Gao!"

"Yes Jackknife. Tasuku, in a way, we both want the same thing. That's why I won't hold back. Because you are my friend," Gao yelled.

The blue haired boy didn't know how to respond to their declaration, instead he grunted, "Let's fight!"
