Today was the day where the Buddy Police Force will stop Azi Dahaka's plan to conquer the world. Everyone involved were present in front of Commander I and Stella, who were finishing the screen to explain the tactic to defeat them and arrest those they could.
Commander I stood up and stood in front of them, "Hello everyone. I can see that most of you managed to sleep well."
Everyone nodded. The only one who appeared tired was Baku and Kuguru. They both had bag under their eyes at the apprehension of today. Everyone knew that tomorrow, was the day of the elections and if they wanted to win, they had to arrest the Disasters and prove the credibility of the Buddy Police Force, so that Hinako could win the elections. It was a lot of pressure on them, but each managed to be focus on the task.
"Yes, we have!" they replied.
The commander looked at the kids and officer Takihara. He coughed and began the briefing, "As you know. We must go to Kyoya's manor located at the north of the city, a little isolated from the rest of town. The manor is quite large and based on the blueprint, it is much bigger than last year. We can guess that they prepared their plan far in advance and invested a lot in this. I will give you each the blueprints of the house but know that there is more to it than what we share with you."
Testuya looked at the map and exclaimed, "Damn he's rich! Look at it, he has like 100 rooms in that house."
"Manor," Zanya corrected.
"There is a lot to search. They might even be able to escape," Noboru commented as he crossed his arms in annoyance.
Commander I reassuringly replied, "Don't worry. We will have the help of the Police. They will make sure to watch around the manor while we are going inside. They will update us on everyone who tried or managed to escape, so we know where our targets are going. Speaking of them, we have the name of some of the member of the Disasters, thanks to Tasuku, Joker and Kiri," he showed the faces of the members of the Disasters, "So far, we know that Magoroku Shido won't help them, giving up on his buddy."
"His father was arrested because of him," Gao quickly added.
"As for the rest, we can confirm that they are present and currently reunited in the manor, thanks to the policeman who is watching the manor. We have Sophia Sakharov, Davide Yamazaki and his buddy Deathgaze," Tasuku frowned when he heard the name, "Rouga Aragami and his buddy Cerberus, Terumi Kuchinawa and her buddy Medusa and Gremlin and his buddy Death Tallica. They are not alone of course as more Darkness Dragon are also present there."
They looked at the pictures and saw the name of each of them. They also knew that the Purgatory Knights were present and will support them.
Testsuya recognised Terumi and wasn't expecting her to be a member of the Disaster. His buddy said, "Wasn't expecting her to be with them, right?"
"Y-yeah," Testuya said a little surprised. He wasn't expecting her to be with them.
"Any question?" Commander I asked.
No one had one.
"I'll give you the detail of the operation now," and he explained how they would proceed and the Plan B if things weren't going as expected.
Gao and his buddy were a little nervous, they would have to confront Azi Dahaka and hold on as long as they could. A giant Darkness Dragon attacking in the city would be extremely dangerous.
"Tenbu!" Drum yelled when he saw the green dragon with pink mustache trying to charm Stella.
After this little detour, they went to action.
Chapter 145: The Grand Operation Part 1
Everyone where in a Buddy Police car as they went to the manor of Kyoya. None of them, except Tasuku, Kiri and Joker knew what the inside looked like, while Kiri had some lightly confused memories about it, he knew enough thanks to his buddy.
Gao, his buddy and Tenbu were in the car. The old dragon noticed that they were apprehensive of what would come next. A big part of the operation was resting on their shoulders, while knowing while everyone would be busy and counting on each other's. The boy held his Deck Case with everything he had and was even sweating because of the stress.
The hold dragon chuckled as he said, "Don't exhaust yourself before the battle begin Gao. Just like I taught Drum, you must remain calm. Your mind will be clear, and you will be able to see victory."
"Are you going to help us Tenbu?" the boy replied.
"I am sorry, but I can't. My power is too great and fighting against Azi might destroy the town, but I'll make sure damage won't hurt anyone in town. That's why I came," and the oath I made with Azi Dahaka is holding on. With you two facing him, he won't be able to give his all or kill you.
That didn't help to calm down, but the boy nodded, "We won't have to worry about that. Drum, we have to give our all," he said as he adjusted his jacket, "I am the Mighty Sun Fighter after all."
"And with me by your side, we won't accept defeat. Gao. We must use everything we have. Be ready to change mode on the spot," the red dragon said with a small smile.
"You can count on me buddy."
They reached their destination soon afterward and went outside of the cars. The Police Force was already present.
Zanya saw his father, "Dad. You're here?"
"Yes. I'll supervise the operation. The Police Force have your back and we won't fail, just like when we arrest Tenchi."
The boy nodded to his father and his buddy said, "Nin," and showed his scroll, Thanks again for helping me.
"Again. You saved Akatsuki. It was the last I can do," he replied with a smile, "Now go."
Everyone reunited at the front gate with Commander I, standing in front of them, "Remember. We will have to fight and arrest everyone. Even if they are not adult, we cannot let them free. We are the Buddy Police Force. We must show them the justice we believe in!"
"Yes Commander!" everyone replied.
"Expect the Purgatory Knights to pull a big fight. Even if Demios isn't leading them, they are very disciplined when a battle being. Don't expect any weakness on their behalf," Tasuku warned them.
"We are ready for this Yo," Tetsuya replied.
"Time for a little pay back for what they did to us, in cold style," the frozen monster said as he readied his blade.
The buddies turned into their real form and everyone activated their buddy skills. Those who couldn't went inside by foot. All knew that the enemy were aware of their presence, as they followed the protocol and the Police surely already followed their own.
Kyoya watched the Police assembling in front of his manor with the Buddy Police Force coming. He calmly commented, "Looks like they are here to arrest us Azi," he turned towards his buddy with a small grin, "Looks like this is over for us."
Azi frowned, "How is it possible?" they looked at the boy and replied, "As for your little joke. I like it," they grinned, "It isn't over until we lose the battle Kyoya. I never go down without a fight," he emitted a dark aura as he turned around, "Call everyone and tell them to welcome our guests. And add that they cannot kill any of the humans. It is forbidden."
"Sure," the boy replied as he proceeded as asked, Looks like we will have a final battle just like in many anime and manga, he couldn't help but think. The teenage boy wondered how long it would take for them to be victorious.
Everyone was halfway to the manor when the group stopped, as the members of Disasters walked outside of the manor and were ready to face them.
The Buddy Police Force members and the Disasters looked at each other, judging which one was the strongest while the Purgatory Knights came.
Tension was rising as they prepared to charge. The only one who said anything was commander I, "Surrender now and you will avoid many problems. You are under arrest for helping Azi Dahaka to conquer our world!" without giving the specifics.
Davide was the one who eventually broke the silence, "Surrendering to you? You've been broken to pieces before by Seiichi and we should be afraid of you?"
Tasuku took a step forward, "Davide! What has been broken can be fixed! As for you! I didn't forget what you did to my buddy!"
"Tasuku," Sophia whispered when she saw that the boy turned on them.
"I'm back to who I truly am. Joining you was a mistake I made. Mostly because you have people like Davide with you!"
The boy smirked as he replied, "Whatever. We are going to enjoy this fight."
"Get ready everyone. We do as plan," he told the Buddy Fighters.
Gao and his buddy tensed up, knowing that they will have to pass all of them to enter in the manor. One thing the boy noticed thought, was that one Purgatory Knight wasn't present. It wasn't about Demios, but another one.
The buddies turned into their real form and charged at the same time. The battle began, and many picked one adversary at the time. It was obvious that Tasuku picked his battle against Davide while the others split with the Disasters and the Purgatory Knights.
When they charged, Kiri ended up facing against Rouga.
"You again!" Kiri yelled, remembering what he did to his buddy.
"It is," the boy replied as he drew his spear.
Gao saw his chance and with his buddy, passed beneath them and the only one to notice was Sophia, but Kazane stood in her way, "Sorry, but you'll have to face me and my buddy."
Sophia took out a communicator and said, "Gao and his buddy managed to enter in the manor."
Kazane heard this but knew she must stop Sophia no matter what.
The boy and his buddy managed to enter in the manor. Tenbu watched them and one thought of one thing, please be victorious. The only way is to fully awaken your power.
Drum lead the way while his buddy followed him quickly thanks to his buddy skill. They managed to avoid any battle and the only thing left was for them to reach Azi Dahaka, "I can smell Azi. He passed here recently. He's going down those stairs."
They flew that way and when they finished climbing down the stairs, an instrument looking like a guitar passed near the face of the red dragon and hit the ground, leaving a large crack on it. Drum looked at the assailant and saw the Lyrical Dragon, adjusting his hat and looking at them.
"Hello you two," Troubadour said as he waved at them, "Long time no see."
"Stand aside Troubadour. We are here to arrest Azi Dahaka and stop his plan of conquering the Earth."
Troubadour let out a sad smile, "It's a shame that we are enemies now Gao. I still see you as a friend and Drum too, with his burning heart and his burning will. An inspiration for many dragons at such a young age," he took a few steps and fully stood in their way, "I have no ill will against you or anyone from any world. No ill will for living on Darkness Dragon World. My ancestors left behind by cruel fate outside of anyone from Dragon World. Nothing was intentional in our cruel fate. I have no ill will against any other worlds, but I have ill will against myself recently. I doubt Demios and I cannot forgive myself for this. Believing he would act low for selfish reason. The very fact that Tasuku is back with Jackknife is the very proof of my mistakes. My mistrust to my leader, who remained true to himself while I couldn't see it. That's why, I won't stand aside. I am a Purgatory Knight, even if I am a kind dragon who has little interest in battle, I have my pride!" he spun his weapon and was ready for battle, "Gao, Drum! Don't hold back! If you can't defeat me, you have no chance against my ruler!"
"Troubadour," Gao whispered as he picked a card from his deck case.
"If you are fighting as a Purgatory Knight. Which form you want to duel me Troubadour?" the red dragon asked with respect.
The boy knew he wouldn't intervene in this fight. It was a duel between two dragons only.
Troubadour lightly smiled, "Fight me like a Purgatory Knight Drum. Demios complained about it, but I want you to honor me in that form."
Gao took out the card and turned his buddy into his Purgatory Knight form.
"Let's do this," Drum said as they were ready to fight. They both charged and began the battle.
