ALRIGHT! Here is chapter 11, I know its been a while. And I apologize. It's just been...hectic mentally on my end. Luckily I'm going to do my best to keep this up now that due to the Chaos Kin, it's now 3 years later. And to those asking why Ash didn't come back, its because the call to protect waits for no one. Anyway, let's go. I own nothing except my ideas.

Ash stepped through the light as he arrived at the world of the Gods once more, three years having passed and Ash having grown. His body covered in a brown cloak, it was hard to see his outfit. A sword hilt poking out just beside his right shoulder as he looked around.

"What happened"? He noticed, seeing the torn up landscape. "Did...did Viridi win...oh no did HADES win"?! Ash asked in a panic, breaking out into a run to the nearest down, only to stop when he saw centurions attacking. "Centurions, that means a fight is going down, let's see who's on the other side". He said before bracing himself and shooting into the air like a rocket, zooming to the scene.

What shocked him was when he got there, the Centurions were attacking people! No Underworld or Forces of Nature to be found, they were randomly attacking people.

Ash growled and ran up to a centurion. "What are you all doing?! Where is Palutena"?! Ash demanded. Just as he said that they all turned their sights to him, Ash gripped his sword, unaware of a dog watching him from nearby.

They all fired their bows at him, only for him to vanish and slash a centurion in half as he roundhouse kicked another into the distance, a heavyweight centurion leaping at him, only for Ash to catch its fists and sidekick him harshly into a wall. Ash swung his sword and sliced centurions until they vanished, sighing. "What was that all about?" He asked himself, only to shout in surprise when a dog jumped in his head and licked his hair. "What are you doing big guy"? Ash asked, sitting in the dog down, the dog holding a ring out to him. Ash blinked and took it, looking it over. "You...want me to wear this"? He asked, the dog walking away. "Um...okay then". Ash muttered, getting up and slowly sliding the ring onto his finger, before he felt control slip away.

"Thank you Ash! Wahoo!" Pit's voice echoed in his mind, as Ash saw his body fistpump in joy.

"W-What the...Pit?! What's going on?!" Ash asked in shock.

"Well...bottom line so far from what I've gathered, I'm a ring, the Centurions have gotten out of control! And where did you go? It was almost yesterday when we fought the Aurum." Pit asked.

"Yesterday? Try three YEARS Pit"! Ash corrected.

"WHAT?! THREE YEARS?!" He shrieked.

"Yeah, do you see how I look older?" Ash pointed out, Pit looking over Ash's body, noticing his older state. "Huh...guess you're right."

"So...what now?" Ash asked.

"First things first, we need to find my Body and find out who or what is controlling it!" Pit declared, thrusting Ash's fist in the air.

"Sure...but can't I control myself?" Ash wondered.

"Um...well..." Pit muttered, realizing his fault.

"Just take the ring off and I'll stick it in my pocket." Ash tried to barter with his friend, knowing his reluctance to let go.

"Okay...right." Pit said softly, taking the ring off, giving Ash control of his body back. Ash putting the ring in his pants pocket, looking up. "Alright Pit, can you hear me?" Ash asked, trying to find that same connection.

"Y-Yeah...a bit difficult but I can hear you." Pit responded.

"Good, let's go." Ash said, rushing through the town.

Pit silently watched as Ash tore his way through the Centurions with swordsmanship and hand to hand combat. "You've gotten stronger." He muttered.

"Yeah, three years does that to ya." Ash responded.

Ash looked down and saw an Underworld Crawler, with Centurions fighting it. "Well, at least we know Hades isn't in charge." He noticed, leaping down and summoning his Lightning Lance, slamming it into the Crawler's eye and making it explode, taking the Centurions with it.

"Wow! You certainly know how to deal with them!" Pit said in awe.

"Thanks." Ash muttered with a smile.

He continued heading through the town, before coming up to a hot springs.

"Wow, bunch of hot springs." Ash realized, looking them over.

"Aww! I really want to take a dip into one!" Pit complained.

Ash chuckles and noticed a souflee, he reeled his Lightning Lance back and threw it at the sundae shaped monster. It nailed it right in the eye and made it fall over, hearts appearing and flying into Ash.

"Well, that's odd." Ash muttered.

"I guess since I'm in you, the hearts go into you, cool!" Pit cheered.

Ash nodded and continued, walking up a hill before stopping as two muscled up Centurions appeared, along with a large machine.

"I think we're getting close! Don't give up now Ash!" Pit cheered.

Ash rushed forward and blocked the shots from the machine, switching to hand to hand. Dodging the punches from the Centurions and slammed a Blackout Kick into one of them, making it collapse on the ground. He grimaced as he was punched in the back, turning around and forming fire around his foot, swinging it up and nailing the Centurion in the chin, making it explode from the sheer power, Ash turning and blasting the machine to bits with Lightning.

The Centurion slowly got up, only for Ash to grab it by the straps on his chest and yank him close.

"What are you doing?! Isn't your job to protect the mortals?!" Ash snapped.

The Centurion didn't answer, as if his lips didn't move.

Ash growled and blasted the Centurion to ashes.

"Are...you alright?" Pit asked.

"...Yeah, sorry you had to see that Pit." Ash apologized, heading into an arena.

Pit's body suddenly landed in front of him, blank eyes staring at him as a dark Aura surged around it.

"Hey! That's my body!" Pit shouted from within Ash's mind.

"Alright, I gotta take it out...without killing it." Ash muttered, unsheathing Celestial's Will.

The two clashed, Pit's body wielding a Darkness Bow as he fired shots at Ash, who dodged or teleported away from each one. Ash rushed forward and slashed Pit's body in the chest, making it stumble back and grimace. Ash fired lightning and fire at it, making it dodge and jump to try and escape him, only to get a haymaker from his Lightning Lance. Ash continued his vicious assault, surprising Pit.

"Ash...are you alright?" Pit asked.

"Yeah, I'm just wanting to end this quick." He responded.

Pit's body dodged and slashed Ash's arm, making his drop his lightning lance as he split his bow in two and went on the offensive, making Ash back up and try to deflect all of the attacks. Pit's body leaping back and firing two large shots, knocking Ash down and removing his cloak.

Ash growled and slowly got up, only for Pit's body to put a blade at his throat, blankly staring at him. Ash was silent before grinning, a red glow surrounding him before roaring, Pit's body getting blasted back as a red sphere of fire surrounded him.

The sphere faded, revealing Ash in his Chi'Ji form. His hair has turned a white and red along with gaining crimson eyes. He has a red long sleeved vest with red coatails. White and red combat pants, along with black boots, which allow seamless movement in his feet. On his hands and feet were white, red, and black bandages that seemed to glow with power.

"Whoa..." Pit gasped in awe.

Ash rushed forward and slammed both fists into Pit's Body, stunning it and allowing Ash to take a stance, his index and middle fingers both out on both hands, before rapidly jabbing Pit's Body in specific spots, attacking his pressure points in a flurry of blows, before stopping and stepping back. A flash of white let loose as Pit's Body collapsed, his entire body breaking down.

"Nice!" Pit cheered.

"Alright, let's get this ring on it." Ash says, walking over and jabbing Pit's body once more, releasing it from its collapsed state and slipping the ring on. The ring breaking into pieces of light.

"Pit...come on Pit wake up." Ash asked, shaking the angel's comatose body.

Pit groaned a bit and creaked his eyes open, only for them to shoot wide open. Pit cheered and flipped out of Ash's arms, doing a couple of flips and landing. "I'm back in the game!" Pit cheered, fist in the air.

"Well, that worked out well." Ash muttered, scratching his white hair.

"Thanks Ash!" Pit thanked.

"No problem." He waved off, returning to normal.

"So...what was that?" Pit asked, gesturing to Ash to explain his form.

"Oh, that's...a long story." Ash muttered.

"Ah, okay...but now how do we get back?" Pit looked up.

"Hmm, good question. I don't suppose you've learned how to fly in the past three years?" Ash asked, knowing very well Pit was in his ring.

"Nope." Was his response.

"Dang...try praying to her, maybe you'll reach her." Ash suggested.

"Good idea!" Pit got on one knee and bowed his head, hands clasped together in prayer. "Lady Palutena, I require your gift of flight once more, answer me Palutena...please!" He begged.

A few seconds after his prayer, his wings spread and gained a familiar glow.

"Looks like she heard you!" Ash cheered.

"Looks like it, let's go!" Pit exclaimed, running over to a cliff and leaping off, flying into the air. Ash joining him.

To be continued.

Hey guys...um...sorry to keep you wait! Hehe. But I'm back and I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Next chapter is Pit and Ash going to find Palutena, how do you think they'll handle it? R&R This is Oathkeeper0317 signing out.

Also, I would like to ask...an opinion, for those of you that have read my 'What Came Before' story, I must ask...what do you think of the Future Kids? I myself don't think I properly gave them justice in presenting them in a proper manner, making them seem bland and lacking character. Despite the fact they are some of my most diverse characters ever. I would really benefit from your opinions. Thank you.
