Jason Grace
Jason sat against the wall, a dumbfounded look on his face as he stared at the screen in front of him. The auditorium of Hektor's new castle/palace was packed with everyone at camp. Jason didn't want to be there but he was pretty much forced to, lest he blow his cover. He'd been investigating the reason everyone was able to just betray Percy and Annabeth like they did. So far, he was yet to come up with what was causing it.
The odd thing was, he kept having blackouts after every meal. He got checked up by Will but he was just told that there wasn't anything wrong with him. He wasn't sure what was going on but he knew for a fact he wasn't the only one. Nico kept glancing at Hektor with a troubled look but he never said anything. Jason wanted to talk to him but he couldn't afford to be ousted as a potential traitor, he liked being a spy for Percy.
Jason's attention was brought back by the sound of terrified screaming. No, he wasn't watching some cheesy eighties horror film. No, he was watching a 'evidence' film that Hektor just had to show the entire camp.
Over the past few weeks, Hektor had been non-stop showing films of Percy and Annabeth doing downright deplorable things, things like setting orphanages on fire, robbing banks, executing mortals in broad daylight, and other things that made Jason nearly throw up his breakfast. He knew they were bullshit though, Percy and Annabeth would never do those things, no matter how mentally fucked up they were.
That was another mystery Jason was trying to understand. Hektor seemed to be pulling the films out of nowhere. At first, they were laughable in how bad they were, now they were looking pretty good actually. A lot of campers ate the stuff up, a few almost going into shock.
The film on screen was easily one of the worst Jason had seen. Percy and Annabeth were busy torturing a dying hospital patient in a grungy New York alleyway. He had to keep reminding himself that it was all fake, this wasn't real.
The sound of glass breaking and pained screaming was a little difficult to listen to but Jason forced himself to stay. Lupa trained him to be stronger than that, a fake torture film couldn't possibly be what did him in.
After five horrible minutes, the film ended. Everyone got up and started making their way out of the auditorium, all of them talking about what they had just seen. Some had made beelines towards the bathroom so they could puke their guts out. Jason didn't blame them. He was about to leave as well when he heard Hektor call his name.
He turned to see the snobby bastard standing at one of the exits, a black and gold robe on. He wore a red crown, courtesy of Leo and his cabin mates. At his side was a custom sword, the hilt glistening with a black leather wrap while gold metal studs glinted ominously at all who looked at it. The pommel was in the shape of tiny golden apple.
"Come with me, I have something I need your opinion on." Hektor said.
Jason rolled his eyes and followed him. He was used to this type of thing. At first, he was strictly Hektor's attaché to New Rome but now he was also the secondary military commander for Camp Half-Blood. He was the main military advisor for their forces but he didn't outrank Hektor.
They walked through the palace halls, Jason wondering what Hektor wanted to rant about now. What, was his muffin for breakfast not soft enough? Was his pillow to hard to sleep on?
Hektor led him to the throne room, turning and letting Jason in before shutting the door. He looked around before saying, "Okay, good, we're alone."
"Mind telling me why I'm here?" Jason asked.
Hektor pull up a chair and motioned for him to sit, "I want defenses to be bolstered, I have a bad feeling, Jackson hasn't been spotted in weeks."
Jason knew where Percy was but he didn't say anything. He also had been sabotaging Hektor's defense efforts since the very beginning. Mainly failing to schedule maintenance on weapons, giving schedules as to form gaps in patrols, and even posting guards in spots so that Percy and Annabeth could cut through the forest without contest.
"I'll get on it." Jason said.
"Good," Hektor relaxed, "As for another matter, I don't want a harem anymore. I want a queen."
Jason sighed, he was not going to help this creep get a girlfriend, queen, or even sex doll. He could die alone for all he cared.
"That might be difficult, but I'll work on it." Jason murmured.
"I have one woman in mind, I'll be taking some troops away from you so I could personally capture her. Surely, you won't mind?"
Jason's heart froze, who was he planning to capture? "Um, who is it?" He asked, fearing the worst.
"Annabeth Chase."
