The cycle roars out the doors, across the drive and into the lone streets. Tamaranian princess fighting to keep control.
Starfire wavered, punching the handle as far as it could go. The bike in turn jumping on one wheel, just about knocking her off "Please return to two wheels, please!"
The bike jumps off the ground a few inches, Starfire begins to panic, before memories of Robin flashes back into her mind.
"Robin, is such a bike not dangerous?" Questions Starfire worriedly to the boy in question.
Robin finished his slice of pizza before answering "It's completely safe, Star. As long as you keep control."
Starfire takes a sip of mustard "How do you keep control?"
"You've gotta focus on where you want to go, that's where the bike will lead. Just balance and maintain a safe speed." Answers the black haired leader
Starfire approaches the lone bike, Robin following the red head, leading her hands onto the bikes handles "This one controls your speed, the more you twist the faster you go, this is the break."
Starfire smiles at the contact, Robin's hand was warm underneath his gloves.
"Hey Star, lets go for a ride." States Robin, the spiky haired teen grabbing his helmet, delicately placing it over the girls head "You can wear my helmet."
Starfire tentatively latches onto Robin's waist, the boy kicking the bike on and revving the gas "You ready?"
Starfire nods, head buried in Robin's yellow caped back. Slowly the teens ride out of the parking area, safely coasting into the traffic.
Green eyes widen as the bike reaches the ground, Starfire releasing her grip tentatively upon the gas, the teenage girl leaning forward like Robin had to help maintain her balance.
Cyborg and Beast Boy continued attempting to disarm the nuke, sparks flying, wires loose all around "I just about got it, first I gotta turn off the timer starting the automatic detonation." Speaks Cyborg
Beast Boy morphs back into his normal self from the small mouse, spewing more wires from his mouth "Dude, you couldn't have had smaller hands? It smells in that thing!"
"Nothing can smell any worse than your room, BB." Laughs Cyborg, the Titan removing the countdown meter, making the nuke immediately start shutting down "Boo-Yah!"
Cyborg and Beast Boy smile, the two begin their walk of victory when suddenly the nuke's countdown turns back on.
"What? No, no, you disarmed it!" Screams Beast Boy
Cyborg rushes down, taking the screen into his hands "It's narrowing down a new location!"
The countdown rests at the bottom, satellite images begin narrowing down to a new target, the teens eyes widen upon sight of just what's highlighted.
"Isn't that?" Begins Beast Boy
Cyborg rises to his feet "It is, Slade's targeting Titans Tower!" The two teens rush back into the car. They just had to make it back before it's too late
"Raven! Star, come in!" Yells Beast Boy into his communicator "Guys? Why aren't you answering?"
Cyborg smacks the steering wheel angrily "Slade must have done something to them, he knew we'd split up!"
"Dude, Slade's an evil genius" states Beast Boy
Cyborg presses the petal down as far as it could go, peeling burned rubber onto the street. The court house was far enough away that they wouldn't make it in time.
"BB, fly ahead, get Star and Raven out of the tower, I'll evacuate the rest of the citizens."
"What? But I can't just leave you!" Exclaimed Beast Boy "We should stay together, we can make it"
"Beast Boy, this is our only shot, you gotta go." States Cyborg, hand hovering over the eject button "You can do this, man."
Beast Boy stares as he's suddenly flown into the air, the teen transformed into a pterodactyl before getting any farther. He can only watch as the T-car changes direction.
"Be careful, Cy"
Starfire rides throughout the forest, she had no idea where exactly she needed to go, just kept riding.
"A house, I see no such house" declares the red head "Oh, Robin! Where are you?"
Trees, trees and more trees are the only things that greet her, but Robin was being held here somewhere, she could feel it and Raven had said so.
A sudden epiphany hits her, Raven had said Titans Tower, so Robin was in a place where he could see the tower.
Starfire turns her head backwards, green eyes watching for the sight, right now she wasn't far enough in to even see the roof.
"I must go further" the engine is once again revved, launching the teen girl down the steep slopes "I'm coming Robin!"
Raven awakens on the couch, her head was killing her, she knew those feelings had been coming from their missing leader "Starfire?"
The tower remains empty and quiet "Starfire?" Still no answer "She's not here."
Raven shakily rises to her feet, the girl rubs her shoulders "She must have went after Robin."
Purple eyes turn towards the window, the city wasn't destroyed and the countdown was frozen on screen "We won,"
A buzzing from her pocket grabs her attention, followed by a familiar high voice "Beast Boy?"
"Raven! You finally answered, you gotta get out of the tower, now!" Screams Beast Boy, the green teen had landed a top a lone roof "Raven!"
Raven stared as the beeping from the basement grew louder, Beast Boy's screams drowning out "It's here, the bomb is in the tower."
"The nuke at the court house was a decoy, Slade tricked us again, you and Star gotta get out of the tower!"
"Starfire isn't here, she went after Robin." States Raven, the teen running towards the exit doors "I felt his emotions, I must have said something that would lead her to him."
"You felt Robin? Was he ok?" Asks Beast Boy
Raven doesn't answer, from what she remembered, Robin was far from ok "I can't remember"
Seconds before the door to her escape is open, the tower begins to crumble, blasts echoing from below as the detonation is launched.
Raven screams as she falls, the rubble beneath her now the blue whirling sea, the teen dodged the debris as she tried thinking of a plan.
She had no powers, no blasting away, no fly to safety, there was nothing Raven could do to save her life.
Purple eyes close for what's believed to be the last time, Robin's emotions once again reach into her, he was watching her death.
