Chapter 17:

The P.S.

Six years later, Lucy cuddled up close with Natsu while they enjoyed the quite and the morning sunshine as it filtered through the bedroom curtains. Then the quite ended and a loud stomping of feet ran pass their bedroom door as Happy yelled, "I'm gonna get you!"

Then a little girl squealed and cried, "Oh no! The blue monster is going to get me! Someone help!"

"How did we get so lucky," Natsu mumbled as he and Lucy let out a small chuckle.

"I don't know," Lucy replied and she kissed Natsu's cheek, "But I'm glad we did."

"Oh no," Happy shouted and the little girl giggled, "Looks like Nashi has been overcome by the blue beast! Who will save her now!"

"Sounds like my queue," Natsu spoke then he jumped out of bed and walked toward the bedroom door.

"Have fun honey," Lucy told him and Natsu smiled and opened the door.

"Don't worry Nashi! Daddy is here to save the day!," Natsu shouted, then he started to chase the kids.

Lucy giggled as she rolled onto her back and sat up to watch her husband and kids run up and down the hallway. "I guess I should make some breakfast," Lucy whispered to herself as she started to get up from bed, but fell right back in as soon as she felt sick, "Then again maybe not."

Then out in the hallway, Natsu came to stop as he saw Lucy struggling to get out of bed. "Is everything ok," Natsu asked as he watch his wife move in bed.

"Yeah, I think so," Lucy replied , "But you think we get one of those tests today?"

"You mean," Natsu spoke and his jaw dropped.

"I think I might be," Lucy answered and she smiled.

"Guess I'll get the test," Natsu said as he ran his hand through his hair and walked away.

It was the end of a long day and Lucy was sitting in the bathroom staring a pregnancy test, her eye went wide in excitement, it was positive. A second later, she walked out of the master bathroom and joined Natsu, who was looking at his phone on the bed. "So I took the test," Lucy spoke as she got under the covers and scooted over to him.

"Aha," Natsu replied as he scrolled through his phone looking at his important business email.

"Honey, I'm not sure if I'm reading this right," Lucy spoke as she laid her head on his shoulder.

"Is that so," Natsu responded then he put down his phone and brought his full attention to his wife, "Perhaps I can figure it out, let me see."

"Ok," Lucy said and she handed the test to Natsu with a small smile on her face.

Natsu looked at the test and his eye went wide, then he looked over at Lucy as her smile grew wider. "Lucy," he whispered, "Is this for real?"

"Whatever do you mean," Lucy cooed as she breathed on his neck.

"Luce, this clearly says that you're umm…," Natsu said then he glanced over at Lucy, "You're umm…"

"Pregnant dear," Lucy said and she giggled and smiled.

"Oh my god," Natsu shouted and he nearly jumped out of his bed.

"Natsu, be quite," Lucy told him, "You'll wake up the kids!"

"Right, the kids! I'm gonna go tell the kids," Natsu cheered as he jumped out of bed and raced out the bedroom door, "Hey Nashi! Happy! I got some news to tell you!"

"Oh Natsu," Lucy spoke as she watched the scene unfold before her with a smile, "I'm so glad we reconnected."
