Ok, ok! I'm here! *runs in but trips and falls. Slowly reaches a hand out with the file for the week's chapter* Here..enjoy the story..geh *face falls*
"So you're finally going to show me what you guys do over there, huh?" Casey glanced down between the two girls with a small smirked curled around a lit cigarette.
"Yeah! It's gonna be so awesome to have you hang out with us! It's gonna be so cool! You get to see how they fight, meet Master Splinter, it's going to be so great!" Kara raised her arms in excitement, grinning from ear to ear.
Dragan and Casey looked at each other and only smiled at her excitement. "I've..sorta seen them fight before, remember?"
"An he did sorta meet Master Splinter." Dragan added in.
"And they did rescue me after that...incident.." Casey looked away knowing how she felt on the subject of her being taken over control. Seeing her come to him and tell him everything and breaking down in front of him; he did not like that. The more he heard about Shredder and the aliens, the more dislike he shown to them, and that dislike was turning into anger.
Kara took two steps ahead of them and turned to face them with a pout on her face. "You know what I mean..actually mingle, become closer, hang out. I won't have to keep secrets about them from you anymore..from anyone that I know...I can finally bring both my worlds together and...I won't have to choose between the two because..it's all..together." Her pout now gone she lowered her head, glancing to the side, flustered and unsure.
Casey and Dragan looked at each other again then back at Kara, both of them smiling as they moved to each side of Kara, placing their arms around her. "I get cha, kid. We're all in this together."
"Couldn't hae said it better myself." Dragan grinned giving her a playful nudge. "Come on, pretty sure the fun hasn't started yet. We might catch them at a good time."
"You're right! Maybe we'll make it in time for training!" Kara said before running ahead.
Dragan rolled her eyes but smiled giving Casey a look. "Shall we?"
"Ladies first. I still don't know my way round these parts yet." Casey gestured for her to go first in a gentlemanly manner.
"O' course." Dragan smiled and ran after Kara with Casey right behind her.
When Dragan and Casey arrived they saw Donnie and Kara talking to each other.
Kara was holding Donnie's hand looking worried while Donnie rubbed the back of his head. She blinked when she saw them enter and smiled at him. "We made it in time, the guys and April are about to start training. Wanna join in?"
Donnie blinked seeing Casey and immediately grew nervous. "Oh uh, hello s-sir!"
Casey gave him a smile and a small wave, pulling his cigarette out of his mouth. "Hey, Don, you don't have to call me Sir, Casey is fine by me." He looked around for some place to get rid of his cigarette not wanting to disrespect someone elses home, following Dragan as she lead him to the kitchen to dispose of it.
"You sure you're going to be ok?" Kara gently ran her thumb over the top of his hand seeing the are where he scratched the skin was lighter than usual. "Maybe we should put a bandaid on it."
"I already put antiseptic on it. It should be fine." He reached his hand up, stroking her cheek.
"Good...how's the research coming?" She placed her hand over his and gave it a gentle squeeze.
"It's been set back..due to a certain turtle.." He grumbled but blinked when she was silent. Not knowing if she still felt hatred for Karai or not he opened his mouth to say something but blinked when her lips connected with his.
"You'll get it right. I know you will." She whispered, holding his hand between both of hers.
Donnie smiled softly down at her and wrapped both his arms around her in a hug. "Come on, the others should be waiting for us." He let her go just as Dragan and Casey came to view. "April is here as well so we may have an odd number of members."
"It's ok, I'm more of an observer than anything today. It's my day off." Casey shook his head with a small grin on his face, following behind them.
"Your skills are much improved, April. Now, see if you can defend against Leonardo."
"Hmm don't think I'll go easy on you this time, April." Leo said with a sly smirk as he brought out his sword.
"Fine by me. Bring it on!" April brought out her tessen as she moved into a fighting stance.
"Hajime!" Master Splinter shouted, everyone beginning to spar with their partner.
Leo with April, Mikey with Dragan, and Donnie with Raph. Kara deciding to stick to the sidelines with Casey.
"Wow, your friends are amazing, Kara." Casey watched quite impressed.
"All thanks to my good old teacher, Master Splinter." Kara beamed with pride as Master Splinter walked over to them.
"I see you have brought your friend over once more. Any friend of Kara's is a friend of ours." Master Splinter held his hand out to Casey which he gladly took.
"Likewise, Splinter." Casey said as they shook hands.
"Kara has spoken much about you."
"I'm flattered to hear that, sir." Casey glanced down at a shy Kara and smiled, giving her side a gentle nudge.
"She also told me you are quite the fighter as well."
"Hmm, well, probably not against mutants or alien robots. She's surpassed me on that part." He chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. "But I have learned a few things from my youth." He glanced towards the fighting watching Dragan with a smile but blinked when his attention went to Raph and Donnie noticing Donnie had the upper hand but..didn't do anything.
Master Splinter turned his head to see what he was looking at and noticed this too.
Kara smacked her hand over her face once Raph jumped on Donnie, who was practically screaming for him to get off.
"Wow Donnie, thought you had me there for a second, but that was just embarrassing." Raph smirked down at his brother but blinked when Master Splinter came into view. Splinter stared down at him with narrowed eyes that told me what he needed to do. Raph gave a nervous smile up at him before letting Donnie go and helping him to his feet.
"Does he do that often?" Casey whispered to Kara as he watched Donnie and Splinter talk.
"What? Hesitate? No, usually if he has the upper hand he'll boast about it...usually ends up the same way though. Why?" Kara glanced at him then over to Donnie noticing he was scratching the spot again.
"That doesn't seem very...ninja-y."
"Perhaps he's just nervous about the new set of eyes watching him. He's bound to surprise you." Kara stood and went over to Donnie's side beginning to talk with him. Casey stared at Donnie for a moment but shrugged, not really knowing him personally.
"I thought a little training would clear my head. I can't figure out this brain solution for Karai." Donnie said as he, April, and Kara made their way to his lab.
"Don't over work yourself Donnie..It'll come to you." Kara smiled, placing her hand over his.
"Yeah. Anything I can do?" April asked.
"Yeah, maybe, I could use a fresh sample of your DNA." Donnie smiled but blinked when Kara pulled on his arm. "Kara, what..." He turned to see what she was staring at and blinked in shock at the state of his lab. "But..how did...MIKEY."
"It jumped off the shelf on it's own!" Mikey ran in to explain that he did nothing only to slip and fall on his face. "What the?! Wooooah..ok, I totally didn't do this atleast..I don't think I did this."
"Mikey..."
"Seriously, dude? Not cool." Kara crossed her arms before going over to the desk and began picking stuff up from off the floor.
"Uhhh..uhhhh I can help you clean it up! I won't break anything, promise." Mikey picked up a Kraang head but began playing with it.
"Come on, Mikey, knock it off..you did a bad this time.." Kara looked over at the chemicals remembering Donnie saying something about working on an antidote for Karai. "Now he'll have to start from scratch.." She bent over to pick up a beaker but blinked when Donnie called him Raph. "Wait, what?"
"You just called me Raph dude. I'm Mikey.."
"I did? I..whatever just keep cleaning Mikey." Donnie walked away with his broom in hand.
"You ok, Donnie?" April asked, Kara walking beside her.
"I'm fine, why?" Donnie sighed trying to calm himself down but blinked when Kara was pointing at him.
"You're holding the broom wrong.."
"Yeah, I meant to do that. It's just I uh..have a bad headache.." Donnie suddenly looked woozy and Mikey immediately went to action, pushing his chair behind him so he could sit down.
Kara went over to him and placed her hand to his forehead before looking him over to see if she could find anything wrong.
"Let me get you some ice. Just sit for a sec." April turned and left them for the kitchen.
"Maybe you should lay down and get some sleep.." Kara said softly stroking his cheek. "You don't look so good."
"I'll be fine..I think. I-I dunno it's getting hard to concentrate.." Donnie held his head, groaning softly.
"Don't try to force it." Kara moved her arms around his neck and held him close.
Dragan and Casey were watching Leo train. Dragan staring dreamily while Casey mainly observed. He glanced down at Dragan and chuckled before giving her a nudge with his shoulder. "Hey, you mind giving us a moment? Want to speak with Leo for a bit."
"You're nae gonna scare him again, are ya?" She looked at him suspiciously but there was a light blush to her cheeks.
"Heh, guess one of them spilled the beans, that's no fun. No, just want to talk, get to know him a bit more. I feel we're all going to see each other often." He stood while dusting his pants off.
She stared at him a moment longer but nodded and went to go see how Kara was doing.
Casey smiled when she left and turned to Leo. "Hey, mind if I cut in?" He asked as he stepped on the opposite side of Leo.
"Uhhh..sure, ok." Leo stood up straight and watched as Casey brought out brass knuckles from a hidden pocket inside his coat, recognizing it from when they returned. "A concealed weapon. Nice." Leo nodded as he got into position.
"Heh, after the crazy stuff that happened while you guys were gone...you learn to never leave the house without a little protection." He slipped them on, flexing his hand, and raised his arms close to his body, getting into a fighting position. "Tell me, how long have you and your brothers been dealing with these aliens?" Casey ran at Leo and went to strike but side stepped out of the way and went to swing his sword, Casey leaning back far enough to avoid the sharp blade.
"For about three years. Around the time we met Kara, actually." Leo grunted when Casey kicked the sword from his hands as he fell backwards but rolled into a ball and was back on his feet in one, swift movement. "Huh, interesting." He watched as Leo ran for his sword, not bothering to stop him, and charged at him.
"Yeah, our first night out on the city.." Leo spoke between every attack watching as Casey dodged it with ease, not seeming to break a sweat. "And we were about to head home when a group of men, who turned out to be aliens, were trying to kidnap April and her Father but luckily, Kara was on the scene first." He quickened his pace and his eyes widened when he saw Casey beginning to stumble and raised his sword. "We fought together but..." He blinked when his sword was stopped and stared in shock when he saw his sword being blocked by the brass knuckles. "she was knocked out and we brought her...here." A gasp escaped his lips as Casey smirked and punched the sword away before sending his other fist into his plastron, knocking him to the floor.
"So that's what happened..huh." Casey stared down at him before giving him a smile and reaching his hand out to him. "Who knew such simple events would lead to something greater." He pulled Leo to his feet when he felt Leo's hand grab his and gave him a pat on the back. "You've got amazing talent, Leo. I'm quite impressed." He walked over to his sword and picked it up. "Sword is pretty cool too." He tossed it towards Leo and when he caught it he got into his fighting stance again. "You don't have to go easy on me, by the way, I'm use to fighting people with knives...though, I admit yours is bigger." He gave a small chuckle making Leo smile and nod.
"Ok, but you asked for it." He held his sword up but blinked when Casey's calm expression changed to worry and surprise. "Leo, look ou-!"
Having a sudden bad feeling behind him, Leo immediately turned, slicing his sword towards whatever was behind him only to get thrown into the tree.
He stood to his knees to see his opponent and blinked. "The creep?!" He charged, slicing at him but it didn't seem to do anything but make the creep mad; grabbing Leo by the face and throwing him around a bit before forcing him against the tree.
"Guys!" Leo called as he struggled against it's hand but was beginning to get weak. His eyes were rolling to the back of his head when Casey came running at the thing and threw his body at it's chest for a tackle, causing it to stumble backwards abit but it refused to let go of Leo. Casey narrowed his eyes and took his stance before sending a powerful punch in the creep's stomach making it double over in surprise and giving Casey to opportunity to slam his fist into it's face.
Everyone came into the Dojo wondering what the ruckus was.
"YOU!" Raph and Kara shouted, glaring at the creep.
"What is that thing?!" Dragan shouted as it tossed Leo their way. April, Dragan, and Donnie caught Leo while the others and Kara attacked the Creep.
"It's mutant creature we made contact with when we left after the invasion. How is that freak back?"
"Alright, Creep! You want some of our mutagen then how about-"
The Creep began glowing and making a noise while holding it's arms out, cutting Raph's sentence short and confusing them all.
"What's it doing?" Raph asked staring at it.
"I dunno but it's freaking me out, dude!" Mikey grew nervous watching the thing.
Kara and Casey ran at it, cross each others paths as they jumped up and slammed their fist against it's face stopping whatever it was doing but blinked as it grabbed Casey, slamming him into the ground, hard, then throwing him into the wall, knocking him out cold.
"Casey!" Kara shouted in panic before glaring over at the Creep and brought out her gloves, putting them on. She went to charge at it but blinked when it ignored her and went straight for the guys instead. They managed to dodge his attack only to get smacked by it's hand and thrown into the wall. It went to grab at Leo again but Dragan protected him with her shield and Master Splinter jumped over them, attacking the Creep and throwing him over his shoulder and out into the livingroom.
"Is everyone ok?" Master Splinter looked to his sons as they answered and left before turning to Kara and Dragan who was by Casey's side, Kara in tears. "Casey? Casey? Wake up!"
Master Splinter walked over to them and placed her hand on his shoulder before kneeling down to check a pulse. "He's unconscious but alive. We'll bring him to Donnie's lab." Splinter picked him up carefully and brought him to Donnie's lab, gently laying him down on the table to examine him.
"Why would he want that?"
"I got a bad feeling I know why." Donnie answered April's question but stared ahead with wide eyes, scratching his hand, and not finishing his sentence.
"Yeeeaaah?" Raph waited for Donnie to finish what he was going to say.
"Ohhh uhhh wait..what were we talking about again?" Donnie had a confused look on his face as he continued scratching the spot on his hand.
"He doesn't appear to have broken any bones. That is miraculous and impressive." Splinter stroked his chin and glanced over at the others as they were talking about finding the Creep.
"Dragan, you go and help the guys, they'll need the assistance. I'm going to stay here and look after Casey."
"Ya sure, lass?"
Kara nodded and gave her a smile. "Kick some mutant butt."
"On it." She gave Kara a thumbs up before following after the guys.
"The trail is starting to run cold." Leo said to everyone in the back as he drove the Shellraiser around the city. "What do you got, Donnie?"
Dragan turned to see Donnie staring intensely at the screen and leaned over to see what he was doing. "What the...Donnie you're playing video games?!"
"is that...pong?" April blinked in confusion.
"What the heck are you doing, man?" Raph turned to Donnie as he quit his game and sat up straight. Dragan placed her hand over his forehead wondering if he should of stayed with Kara.
"Just use your ooze scanner." Leo said from the front.
"Oh, right!" Donnie pulled it out from the side and held it out in front of him..upside down. "Ah, I'm not getting a signal." He began to shake it til he gave up, throwing his head back against the seat. "Why won't this thing work?"
"Wait, Donnie said Mikey spilled that brain stuff on him, right?"
"It effected the Creep somehow. Did you see that weird look it gave us?" April mentioned glancing around at the others.
"Yeah. It didn't look like it's usual mindless, grass self."
"So you're saying it grew..intelligence? Uh, no pun intended.." Dragan turned to Raph, curious, then to Leo once he began to speak.
"But if it made the Creep smarter then why is Donnie getting-"
"I got it!" Donnie smiled wide as he pressed a button on his keyboard that shut the Shellraiser down completely, it jerking to a stop.
"Ok, seriously, ya guys need tae mak more seats for us. This is geittin' ridiculous." Dragan groaned, clenching tightly to Mikey's seat.
The ooze scanner began making noise as April picked it up. "Guys, the Creep is going north on Bleeker; just a block away."
"Raph, Mikey, you're with me. Dragan and April keep an eye on Donnie."
Dragan looked from Leo to Donnie and raised a brow watching as he rolled his tongue while staring into space. "Ok...stay safe guys."
"We got to get this thing moving. Can you remember what you did?" April turned to Donnie as he gave her a blank look.
"Ehh, no idea."
Dragan sighed and picked Donnie up and set him aside as she took his seat. "Alright, both ma parents are mechanical engineers, this shuildn't be too hard." She popped her knuckles and stared down at the keyboard trying to figure out which button to push.
"Here, try this one." April leaned forward and pressed the 'enter' button, the Shellraiser returning back online.
"Nice one." Dragan grinned at April who smiled with pride.
"Huh, that wasn't too hard Do...nnie.." She looked around realizing he was gone. "Ugh, fantastic.."
"Uh-oh...this isn't good.."
Kara blinked when Casey began to stir and his eyes opened. "Ugh, my head..." He looked around, the first thing he saw was Kara. "You know, this is beginning to get old." He smirked when Kara sighed in relief and slowly helped him sit up.
"Gee, Casey, I knew you were strong but surviving a hit that hard without any broken bones? Makes me wonder if you're a mutant." Kara joked, sitting back to give him some room.
"What can I say? I was a stupid kid when I was your age. Where is everyone?" Casey rubbed his head looking around to see everyone gone.
Kara stood to get him some medicine and water. "They went after the Creep. It's one of the first mutant creatures we faced when we left New York."
"So there are more mutants out there? Not just here?" Casey took the medicine and watched her sit down, swallowing the medicine and water.
"From what I can tell it's just here but who knows...the only reason it was there was because..April's family had a run in with the Kraang a long time ago and were experimented on. Turns out she's half mutant herself."
"Wow, that's..insane." Casey leaned back in shock. "You sure do know how to attract them, huh?" He chuckled while moving his feet over the side and stood up. Kara went to stop him but he held his hand out. "I'm fine, really." He blinked when he heard her phone go off and she picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Hey uh listen...we might hae a problem...wait, what? Hold on, Kara...I'll call ye back in a bit.." She hung up the phone leaving Kara confused.
"That's the plan. We'll meet him here at these coordinates." April pointed at the map to show Dragan.
"Gotcha." She ran to the driver's seat and turned the ignition, driving towards the location, April giving her directions.
"Okaaaay...right here, stop." April informed Dragan as she stopped the vehicle. "They should be here soon. Get ready."
"Overe here, swamp creatures!" Dragan heard Mikey above them and looked ahead seeing two plant like mutants.
"Dragan, now!" Leo shouted.
Dragan grinned as she blared the headlights and stomped her foot on the gas, speeding towards them. She gasped when Donnie suddenly jumped in between them shouting something she couldn't hear and went to apply the brakes but luckily one of the guys saved him and she managed to knock them on their feet. "Now, April!" Dragan shouted, April firing garbage at the mutants til the car behind them exploded in flames.
April opened the door seeing the guys shout in victory and smiled. "That takes care of that, huh?"
"Nice job, April." Dragan smiled before turning to Donnie in worry. "How is he doing?"
Donnie lifted his head with a groan but gasped when he saw the fire. "Wow, look at that fire! You guys wanna roast some marshmallows?" He held his arms out, smiling wide.
"Does that answer your question?" Raph rolled his eyes with a sigh.
"Oh man, let's get Donnie back home. ASAP." Leo grabbed Donnie and lead him back into the Shellraiser.
Kara's nae gonna like this.."
"Ok, I stand corrected..." Dragan blinked as Kara was laughing at all the chaos Donnie was creating while April and Mikey tried to calm him down.
All Dragan and Casey could do was stand back and watch.
"He's like a..."
"Child." Dragan finished Casey's train of thought.
"Yeah, that." Casey nodded. "He's suppose to be the smart one, right?"
"It's that brain serum he was trying to make. He's getting worse every minute." Raph explained watching the scene unfold.
"Kara do ye really hae tae record this.." Dragan sighed seeing her with her phone out and pointed at Donnie.
"Yeah, I mean, of course I'm worried for him but you gotta admit..this is hilarious." She laughed but blinked when Donnie tackled her and was nuzzling his cheek against hers. "Pretty lady! Hehe." He took her cap and placed it on his head before running around, laughing.
She sat up, rubbing her head but blinked when Casey helped her up. "That was pretty entertaining." They heard his laughter getting louder and saw Donnie with Raph's mask then Leo's as they both chased after him. "Is it always like this?" Casey chuckled watching them.
"Most of the time." She smiled til she noticed Mikey walking into the lab and wondered what he was doing only to hear a splash and saw Donnie jump into the water. "Oh no, my cap!" She ran towards the water to go get it from him.
Everyone had managed to calm Donnie down, to some extent, and they were all exhausted.
"Still think it's funny?" Dragan groaned to Kara, laying head down on the couch.
"Nuh-uh." Kara sighed, leaning her head back against the couch while Casey went out the lair to smoke to calm down.
"What do you think, Master Splinter?" Leo looked from Donnie, who was trying to grab at icecream kitty, to Master Splinter.
"It is possible whatever caused it could be the solution to curing it. Perhaps meditation could help him."
"AHHH! The snowcat's are stealing the power of my braaaain! We're doomed! I'm meeeelltiiing! Meeeeltiiiing!" Donnie screamed as he fell backwards.
"A lot of meditation."
'I think he needs a nap." Dragan groaned laying her head against the pillow.
"A long nap." Kara agreed.
"Ugh, even Mikey's a genius compared to him."
"Wait a minute...where is Mikey?" Leo looked around.
"I saw him go into Donnie's lab. You don't think...?"
"Come on!" Leo and the others ran to Donnie's lab in time to see Mikey toss in a pepperoni into a chemical mixture.
"Check it out guys! Brain juice for Donnie! Mmm delicious!" Mikey held out his concoction giving everyone a scare.
"Are you crazy?! You have no idea what that could do to him!" Leo yelled at him.
"I know you guys think Donnie's the only one who knows scienc-y stuff but I pay attention. Remember that freaky, mutant wasp?!"
"Ugh, how can I forget.." kara shuddered.
"Wait, mutant what now?" Dragan blinked, staring at Kara.
"I'll tell you later.." She grumbled, looking away.
"This is a whole other thing, Mikey!"
"Guys!" Casey came in through the door causing everyone to look at him. "I can't find Don oh, there he is." He sighed in relief but blink when everyone tensed up.
"Mmm piiizza shaake." Donnie picked up the mixture Mikey made and chugged it down while everyone screamed and yelled for him to not drink it, but it was too late. Donnie began to spit it out and turned away from them having a small coughing fit.
He stood eerily still causing the air in the room to become tense.
"Donnie?" Leo called softly.
"Say something!" April shouted.
"Donnie...y-you ok?" Kara whispered moving to take a step towards him but jumped back when he turned around having a goofy looking expression on his face.
"Mikey!" Everyone shouted. Kara raised her fist to smack Mikey in the face but blinked when Casey began to laugh.
"Casey! This isn't the time!" Kara turned and yelled at him giving Dragan a good opportunity to take a picture of Donnie's face.
Suddenly, the ceiling started shaking causing loose gravel to fall around them.
"Earthquake!" Mikey shouted as everyone gathered in the livingroom.
"What's going on?" Kara yelled through the co-motion, Casey moving Kara close to him and watched as Raph ran up to their bird's nest to check out what was going on.
"Guys, I think we made it worse!" Raph shouted down at them.
"Wait, I wanna see! I wanna see!" Mikey scooched Raph over to peek through the scope and gasped. Kara did not like that. "Woooah..The Creep and Snakeweed have combined into..Creepweed!"
"Aw come on!" Kara yelled. "Now he's bound to be stronger!"
"I think SnakeCreep sounds better." Casey said aloud in thought, placing his hand to his chin.
"Don't you start that too, Casey.." Mikey pointed at him, grumbling. "I'm the only one that names, ya hear me?!"
"Alright. Alright." Casey raised his hands in defeat but blinked when Donnie came walking by carrying Icecream Kitty on his head talking nonsense that no one understood.
"This is bad. We need Donnie for something like this!"
"Unfortunately, someone made him dumber than himself!" Raph looked to Mikey, glaring at him but stumbled when the ground above them began to shake again but now vines were coming from the cracks.
"It's like Creepweed is making the city it's own giant, plantfood buffet. Just like in Swamp Creatures Eight: Swampman takes Manhattan!"
The vines continued to grow now reaching inside the lair as Leo, Raph, Mikey, Dragan, and Kara stood in a line with their weapons out.
"Are we gardeners or ninjas?"
"Speak for yourself, Raph." Kara rolled her eye.
"Yeah."
"How are we gonna stop that thing!" Raph yelled at the two girls before giving Leo an angry pout.
"The Partywagon is still fully loaded. Let's do this!"
"Uh..I think I'll set this one out..not that it doesn't look fun or anything." Casey scratched his cheek looking away nervously knowing he wouldn't be much help for this fight. They all heard a slurping noise and saw Donnie wearing a sports hat with cupholders connected to it drinking soda rather loudly.
"I'll stay here with Donnie. Maybe I can get through to him somehow."
"Watch over him, Aps..." Kara gave April a small smile before running off into battle.
"Yeah-ha! Kara finally joining the big boys now!" Dragan shouted with laughter.
"Oh be quiet, Dre." Kara smirked as they climbed into the Partywagon and drove off.
The city was covered in fog and vines; as if the city had been overrun with plantlife, which it had. Kara gasped as they drove past pods with people inside them. "We..we'd better hurry.."
"Look at all the people! Creepweed put them all to sleep!" Raph noticed the pods too.
"Quick, Breathing units." Leo said as he handed the girls their masks and slipped theirs into their mouth.
Once Kara and Dragan had their masks on, they gave them the thumbs up.
"Ooch, it's so hard tae see anything with aw this fog..."
"You got a plan yet?" Raph glanced to Leo as he drove underneath more pods.
"First we gotta free all these people before Creepweed turns them all into plantfood."
"Ya know, I gotta admit, Snakecreep sounds cooler than Creepweed." Dragan thought aloud.
"Not you too!" Mikey groaned.
"Another time guys.." Kara sighed while shaking her head.
"Mikey, you said you wanted to fix this. You ready?" Leo looked in the back to Mikey and smiled.
"Aw yeah! You know it!" Mikey shouted in excitement.
"Girls, you two separate and free as many people as you can while we have Sna-Creepweed's attention on us."
"You got it." Kara nodded her head.
"Time tae cut the garden." Dragan giggled.
"On my mark.." Leo held up his arm as Raph drove towards. "Annnd...now!" He released Mikey on a cart board and both Kara and Dragan jumped out of the vehicle on opposites sides, running in different directions to find and free the civilians.
Kara untied the blindfold from her arm and tied it around her eyes. "There, that's better. I'll be able to see more clearly like this." She smirked beginning to feel like her old self again and ran off to get started on setting the people free.
"Phew..that's the last of the people on this side. Wonder how the others are doing.." She blinked seeing something was off and lifted the blindfold from her eyes to see the vines were withering and dying. "Huh, guess Mikey fixed it after all." Hearing her phone ring she picked it up receiving a message from Dragan about completing her side. She responded back saying they should meet up with the guys and sent it before running back where they last were.
As the fog began to clear she noticed two figures ahead of her and squinted her eyes trying to make them out. Lifting the blindfold she was able to recognize Mikey and Donnie. "Donnie? Oh no..he got loose!" She ran faster but began to slow down as she drew closer to them and noticed a large thing on his back. "Wait...Donnie?" She moved the blindfold over her forehead and stopped as they both turned to her, smiling.
"There's my diamond in the rough." Donnie said softly, smiling ear to ear.
Kara blinked in surprise but her eyes lifted in happiness as she ran to him, throwing her arms around him. "It's good to have you back, Donnie." She sighed in relief as he wrapped his arms around her in an embrace.
"It's good to be back and it's thanks to Mikey's antidote. It actually worked!" Donnie looked down at her with a bright smile and turned to him.
Mikey went to say something but blinked when he felt Kara hug him. "I'm sorry for doubting you, Mikey. Never again..thank you so much." Kara said giving him a gentle squeeze. Mikey smiled and returned the hug. "Anytime, Kara."
"Come on, let's go find the others." Donnie placed his hand on Mikey's shoulder and turned to leave but stopped when a rather large figure was walking towards them. Donnie moved Kara and Mikey behind him and readied his blaster but froze when a familiar voice called out to them.
"No need. Seems I'm the one doing the heavy lifting..once again." Dragan came into view carrying a sleeping Leo on her back while dragging a snoring Raph behind her.
"Let's load up the Partywagon." Kara chuckled and ran over to assist Dragan with Mikey by her side, carrying Raph by the arms and legs.
"Soooo, this is what you two girls deal with on a day to day basis?" Casey had his arm around each of the girl's shoulder as they made their way home, Casey being the gentleman and escorting them despite having no need to, now that the fog was gone and everything was as normal as it could get.
"Ehh, well...not exactly..yeah, pretty much."
"I think Mega Shredder beats Creepweed in size but then again..nothing can beat the invasion." Dragan rubbed the back of her head beginning to ponder what can beat the invasion.
"You know..this town got a little more interesting." Casey muttered as he lifted his gaze up to the sky. "I'm starting to like your friends."
Trying the dividing thing again..hope it works this time. Anyways, you know the routine! Rate/comment! All feedback is appreciated! See you when I see you! :D
