Kara and Dragan stood in the middle of the living room deep in thought.
"Sh..shuild we tell the others?" Dragan glanced over at Kara who was sitting down staring intensely where Tigerclaw and Rahzaar had ambushed her and Dragan a few nights ago.
"No, not yet anyways..no need to worry them more than they already are."
"One thing is clear though..if thay knew where we lived then it's only a matter o' time before thay share this information tae Shredder..if he doesn't know already."
"But how did they know?! We were so careful!" Kara stood to her feet and threw her cap on the ground. She stared down at it with narrowed eyes til a thought occurred to her. "Wait..after they put the worm in my head I remember leaving it in a room I used when they gave me that armor..." She moved her hand to her chin in thought as the gears in her head started to turn. A soft gasp told Dragan she had the answer. "Tigerclaw. He must of tracked us with our scent! Why didn't I think of it sooner!" She put her hands over her eyes, throwing her head back in anger.
"Calm down, Kara, we were busy wi other things.."
"Like traveling in time." Kara bent over picking up her cap and dusted it off before placing it snug over her head. "Still got the awesome outfit to prove it." She grinned with a chuckle.
"An we got tae meet Drago Macintosh in person!" Dragan placed her hands to her face in excitement.
"So does everyone in your family have a name related to or based around a dragon?" Kara raised a curious brow to her friend.
"A few." She admits with a shrug, "But thares only so many names that ya can use. Don't forget though, we also defeated a mutated glob o' Shredder along side the turtle mech."
Kara laughed at the crazy adventures before looking around images of them all together here hanging out and having fun; she suddenly grew silent. "We're going to have to move.."
"What shuild we do..?"
"I'll call my parents and see if they'd be willing to help. I don't think we're old enough to rent apartments in New York on our own." Kara brought out her phone and went into her room to call her parents.
Dragan sat down on the couch with a sigh and leaned her head back, staring at the ceiling. "I really hate packing.." She muttered with a pout but blinked when her left hip started vibrating and she held up her phone seeing a message from Raph. "He found something, huh? Guess this will be a good distraction." She replied back that they'll be on their way. Just as she pressed the send button Kara came out with a look of dread. "Sooo..how did it go?"
"As much as I tried to avoid explaining anything til they got here..apparently when my mom hears the words "not" and "safe" in the same sentence...her mother instincts kick in...they're on their way and should arrive within a day or so.."
"Well, Raph found something in the sewers. It'll be nice tae take our minds off this an go tak a look?"
"Yeah, let's go."
"Sooo you're show ended...just like that?" Kara blinked after hearing Mikey go on and on about Crognar's ending.
"Perhaps it wasn't doing so well in ratings. I heard instead o' just canceling the show all together thay'd have it end without warning, or in this case, hav the main character die suddenly an without explanation."
"Don't tell Raph though; we kinda saw it without him." Leo admitted, rubbing the back of his head.
Kara let out a fake gasp, moving her hands over her mouth in shock. "Guys..for shame. Well, this is something Mikey would do but you, Leo? Donnie? Tisk-Tisk."
Dragan chuckled while the two brothers rolled their eyes and Mikey shouted a, "Hey!" Kara's way. Once they arrived at the secret door they discovered not too long ago Leo gentle pushed against it, putting enough pressure for it to activate and open for them.
Filing in one by one they saw Raph sitting down in his new gear.
"Raph, nice digs ya got on!" Dragan grinned wide, impressed at his look which received a smirk from Raph.
"Bout time you guys got here." Raph said meeting them all in front of the entrance that lead into the sewers.
"Hey, secret doors are secret." Kara crossed her arms with a pout.
"Alright, we're here, what's this all about?" Leo asked.
Raph didn't say a word, smirk still on face, as he stepped aside while holding his hand out towards the darkened entrance in front of them. Not even a second later a humanoid dinosaur creature stepped out into view.
Kara lifted her head up, eyes wide and mouth agape at the thing before her. There wasn't much time to react though for the creature growled and raised it's gigantic fist over them and went to smash them to pieces.
All of them yelled in panic and went to move out of the way but luckily, Raph was able to stop him. "No, hold up! False alarm, Zog!"
"No way.." Kara took a step back to get a better look at him, moving next to Donnie.
"You've got tae be kidding me.."
"Holy chalupa! The Dino-mans real?!" Mikey yelled to Raph.
"And you...tamed him?" Donnie questioned.
"Sorta. He likes smashing stuff, isn't that right soldier?!" Raph questioned with an authoritive tone receiving a huff through the nose as a response.
All Kara and Dragan could do was openly stare at the thing.
"Hold up, Raph, did you forget the part where he beat up half the Mighty Mutanimals?"
"Wait, he did what?" Kara blinked out of her stare and looked to Leo and Raph.
"Just trust me. I'll explain on the way." Raph turned to the creature he called Zog and pointed at the entrance. "Go get em, soldier!" He ordered, Zog turning around and walking away.
"On the way where?" Donnie asked leaning over to look at Raph since he was in the back.
"The Kraang." Raph answered following after Zog.
"Dude, the Kraang are gone. We kicked them back to Dimension X, remember? And then we ate pizza and breakdanced, and then I threw up and then-"
"No, man, Zog says there still here and he can sniff them out." Raph looked back at Mikey. "Huh, Zog?"
"Zog...Zog will lead to Kraang. Beacon needed!" Zog began having a coughing fit and despite his attempt to smash them all, Kara was beginning to look concerned for the big guy. He stood to his feet and pointed proudly ahead. "Destruction to the mutaters!"
"You tell em, Zog!" Raph egged him on.
While the guys talked about Zog and how he landed here Kara watched Zog closely noticing his breathing was heavy as if it was hard for him to breath.
"And you trust him?"
"Well..we bonded over a mutual love for destruction." Kara overheard Leo and Raph speak before noticing Zog had stopped.
"What's up, Zog? You find something?"
Zog took a deep breath to explain but began to have another coughing fit.
"What's wrong with him? Is he sick?" Donnie asked watching as Kara and Dragan go over to Zog to try and help him. Kara reached up and rubbed what part of his back she could reach while Dragan tried to show him some breathing exercises.
"I'm starting to understand his backwards talk. His people, the Triceratons, need Nitrogen to breath." Raph explained to them.
"And what about the part where he calls you "Commander Zoraph" and does everything you say?"
"Hey, I saw a chance to have an attack dino and I took it. What's the big deal?"
"Not cool, Raph." Kara walked over to him with her arms crossed. "Did it ever occur to you that he isn't as thick headed as you think him out to be?"
"Plus the fact that I'm pretty sure he can hear ya.." Dragan now next to Kara glanced back to Zog unsure of how she felt about him. Something felt off and it was making her uneasy but she shook it off in hopes that it was just cause he was an alien...a very big one at that.
"Hey, he needs a leader and I'm leading him."
"I dunno about this.."
"Ehh, he's a mostly rational guy. Aren't ya, Zog?" Raph patted his new friend on the spike on his back just before he stood and faced them with a look on his face that, Kara wasn't liking too much.
"Stomp the mutaters!" He yelled as he began stomping the ground with his massive feet not only shaking the ground with enough force to have them all lose their balance but the wall to crumble and fall around them. "Man your battle stations. The invasion begins!"
Kara held into Donnie staring at Zog in fright. Not only were his actions worrying her but what he was saying sent a cold sweat down her spine. She looked over at Dragan and they both made eye contact for a moment before all of them fell from the floor, landing in a room surrounded with Kraang tech.
"You were saying?" Raph retorted to Leo as they all pulled out their weapons.
"It is the ones called "The Turtles and Friends.""
"Woah, Zog was right! The Kraang are back!" Leo exclaimed.
"Hey! Don't you guys know when you've taken a beating?" Kara pointed at a Kraang, gloves on and ready.
"And the one called Tri-Tri-T-T-Tri-Triceraton!" The Kraang threw its weapon and ran away in a cowardly manner.
"Kraang destroy for Kraang!" The other Kraang began firing at them and they all took action.
"Mikey destroy for Mikey!" Mikey yelled as he whacked a Kraang with his nunchuks.
"Haha, nice one, Mikey!" Dragan giggled as she stabbed her sword into a Kraand droid.
"I don't miss these guys." Leo stated while slicing a few in two, "But I do miss doing that."
"I must admit, despite having spent over half a year wi them, I miss bonding wi them. An by that I mean cutting them in two." Dragan chuckled.
Kara glanced over while having her foot on a squishy Kraang brain and stiffened at the sight of the gorilla suits. "Oh crap baskets..."
"Me and Zog will take these dudes." Raph threw away a Kraang head that was stuck to his sai and turned to Zog, pointing at the target. "Head down. Horns up."
"Mutaters!" Zog yelled as he charged and began battling the gorilla suits.
Kara was quite impressed at his skills, figuring his tough skin came in handy. She looked around making sure the area was secure when she noticed the last Kraang sneaking up behind Donnie, who had his nose in their computers. She went to shout for him to look out while running towards him but Zog managed to get to the Kraang first, saving Donnie.
"Woah. Hey, thanks, big guy." Donnie smiled to Zog.
"Alert the beacon. Send the troops. The Kraang..keh..have the back door to space!"
"Uhm..can we get back to that? I'm about to pinpoint Kraang's secret hideout." Donnie turned around to finish what he was doing.
"KRAAAANG!" Zog yelled as he brought his fists down onto the machine, completely shattering it before walking away not noticing the freaked out Donnie.
"Or we could smash it to pieces and never find out where it is." Donnie moved to another computer to try and figure it out again but yelled when Mikey screamed and threw a Kraang droid at him, breaking the screen in the process.
"THAT'S FOR CROGNAR!"
"Are you really still mad about the finale?" Leo asked with a, "are you serious" look on his face.
"Well, if Raph didn't know then..he knows now." Kara crossed her arms as Raph got in Mikey's face.
"Ah-ha! I knew you watched it!"
"Watched it!" Zog yelled, slamming his fists on the ground, the force activating a Kraang portal near Donnie.
"Woah! Space hole dudes!" Mikey smiled seeming to forget the Crognar finale.
"Wow, a portal! I wonder where it leads." Donnie stared at it in thought as Raph walked up to him. "You know we should do a test first to see-"
"Get in that foxhole, soldier!" Raph ordered, pointing inside the portal.
"Sir!" Zog stood at attention, saluting him, and walked right through the portal. Donnie gave Raph a look showing he wasn't too thrilled at what he did.
"What?" Raph asked. "That's what I got him for. Good job, Zog!"
"He's not an attack dog, Raph. He's a deranged alien we know nothing about."
"What's to know? We hate Kraang, Zog hates Kraang. Sweet deal." Raph ran into the portal, Mikey right behind him. Donnie, Leo, and the girls looked at one another nervously before following in after them.
Landing on a small island outside New York they turned to Zog seeing him on one knee, sniffing the area.
"What do you got, Zog?" Raph questioned.
"Err...Mutaters are close...there." Zog looked up at the Statue of Liberty.
"WHAT?!" Both Kara and Dragan yelled in unison.
"The Statue of Liberty..is a Kraang base?!" Leo exclaimed.
"Oh no..The Kraang are using the Statue of Liberty...as a base!" Donnie in disbelief.
"That's just evil." Mikey couldn't believe it.
"The beacon must..ahek!..The beacon must go! No choice, rally them!"
"Awesome job, Sergeant Zog! You ready to do this?" Raph grinned as he moved close, head to head with Zog, who grinned in return.
"Man, it's been ages since I've been here.." Kara whispered softly as they climbed the stairs.
"Wooaaah what're they doing?" Mikey asked noticing a Kraang watching a screen showing a glowing light coming from the top of the Statue of Liberty.
"Looks like they're trying to open a portal and if they bring all those Technodromes through we're all basically doomed."
"Not on our watch. I got a plan." Leo said as everyone huddled around him to hear it. "Listen close cause we gotta be precise about it."
"Filthy Kraang! Horns up!" Zog shouted and charged.
"Nice plan, Leo." Kara commented with a smirk knowing that wasn't his plan at all.
"Free for all it is." Leo sighed and ran up the stairs, the other following behind him, leaving Zog to take care of this level.
"You gotta admit, he's good with his hands." Raph grinned while fighting the Kraang watching Zog take care of the Kraang without breaking a sweat.
"I'm liking his style." Kara chuckled while kicking a Kraang into the wall then pushed it down the stairs, jumping on it's back as it slid down to Zog's level, whooping and hollering. "Guys, you gotta try that!" She laughed and hopped off it before sending it into the wall again.
Hearing Zog, she turned towards him to see him trapped inside a bubble and Raph rushing to help him.
"I'm on it, Raph!" She shouted up to him and ran towards Zog noticing a Kraang pointing it's weapon at him and grinned. "Not on my watch, buddy." She flicked the blades out and sliced upwards on it's back then stabbed them into it's shoulder, slicing the arms off just as Raph stabbed his sai into it's head. "You know, if you can't take care of your animals we won't get you another one." Kara chuckled as Raph playfully punched her arm and turned towards Zog.
"I'll get you outta there, pal." He pushed the bubble and blinked when he saw the triangle sticking out and pulled on the top, a string following after it. "Woah, nice, portable dinosaur." He attached the end to his shell and brought out his grappling hook.
"Raph, what're you doing?" Leo landed next to them.
"Me and Zog are gonna take the crown. You guys try to shut the portal down from here."
"Express way to the top? Count me in!" Kara grinned as she climbed onto the bubble, holding onto the string as Raph lifted them up.
"Geez, Kara, you've been gaining weight."
"Aw, thank you, Raph." Kara laughed as they made their way to the top.
"Up with the beacon. The empire will...not be contained!"
"You said it, pal! Kara gave the bubble a tap with a grin.
"The portal is down." Donnie shouted down to Leo and Dragan. "No way they're opening that baby up."
"I still can't believe Dino-dude was right about the Kraang!" Mikey said as they made their way to them.
"And what's this beacon he keeps talking about?"
"I dunno, Leo, but...when it comes tae aliens an their beacons...it usually isn't a good sign.." Dragan looked away, the feeling in her stomach was worsening as the mission seemed to come to an end and she looked up knowing Kara was with both of them. Hearing Leo's phone go off she waited til he was done with his call, figuring it was Raph.
"Kara found Zog's old gear. He should be able to understand him more now."
"Then he'll be able tae answer our questions."
"Let's go!" Leo ordered and ran up towards the crown, the other following after him.
Kara set the box in front of Zog and looked down at all the stuff. "Wow, this looks pretty high tech. Donnie would go bananas over it." She grabbed the helmet to try it on but of course it was too big for her so she set it back in the box. She glanced up watching Zog put on a belt and heard the sound of air being released.
"At last...I can...breath again."
"How long are you able to last without nitrogen?" She asked curiously, seeming to look relieved that he wasn't constantly struggling for air, but noticed he wasn't paying attention to her as he grabbed his weapon.
"Good, cause it's time to bounce." When Zog didn't do anything Raph rolled his eyes. "Alright, fine. Commander Zoraph orders you to bounce."
Zog held up his weapon, ignoring Raph, and glanced down at Kara before hitting her across the face with it then turned on Raph, firing right at him.
"Raph! Kara!"
Both of them opened their eyes to see the guys and Dragan huddled around them looking concerned.
"What happened?"
"Did you get Kraanged up?"
Donnie and Dragan helped Kara sit up, noticing her right cheek was beginning to swell up and turn blue.
"Zog found his old equipment and he turned on us. You were right, Leo." Raph turned to his brother.
"It happens to the best of us." Leo gave him a small smile and helped him to his feet.
"Grr, wait til I get my hands on that jerk!" Kara yelled as she jumped to her feet but began to lose her balance. Luckily, Donnie caught her before she fell.
"Woah, slow down there, tiger. He hit you pretty hard so you might still feel the effects of getting knocked off your feet."
"I'm surprised your skull didn't crack. I'm also thankful for that. Ye should stay here a bit til ye can walk again."
Kara went to protest but stopped and sighed knowing she was right. "Fine.."
Dragan patted her shoulder and followed the others outside. Donnie gave her a gentle kiss on the forehead leaving behind Dragan. Kara sighed and sat down with a groan.
"Hey Zog, you're not sore about, you know, the whole Zoraph thing are ya?"
"No."
"Raph sighed in relief.
"I expect such treachery from the likes of Earth. We Triceratons pride ourselves in loyalty and honor. You earth dwellers are full of lies and deceit."
"That's nae true! Not everyone is like that! Thare is so much more tae us than that! Ye cannae base the actions o' one person on everyone else!" Dragan glared at Zog, clenching her fists at his judgment on them.
"Look, man, I'm sorry but you were kinda being a jerk and I had to chill you out somehow and...what exactly are you doing with that bomb looking thing?"
"It's not a bomb; It's a signal beacon to signal the Triceraton Empire's Armada. To wipe out this Kraang infested planet."
"No!" Dragan yelled as Zog attacked Raph and she charged in. "I won't let ye do that!"
"We can stop the Kraang without destroying the planet, you madman!" Leo joined in, both of them fighting Zog off. Zog used his horns to throw Leo in the air and forced Dragan onto the ground, her shield between them as she tried to push up but he was beginning to squish her.
Mikey went for an attack but Zog caught it and threw Mikey up in the air, having him collide with Leo.
"Zog! Think of how much our species can learn from each other!" Donnie tried to reason with him as he charged for him, throwing him off the crown of the Statue.
"I know all I need to know about your planet! You let the Kraang run rampant; jeopardizing the safety of the galaxy! I see no reason to spare you."
"That..is not..your..choice, Zog!" Dragan yelled up at him as she struggled to stand on her feet.
"Cause we're friends, Zog."
"Friends?" He seemed unsure of that word as he swiped at Raph but he jumped out of the way, landing on the flames of the Statue.
"We made a good team. We stopped the Kraang together. Don't do this, man! Don't do this to our world!"
"Enough!" Zog shouted as he began firing at Raph. Finally hitting the place where he landed, it fell apart and Raph began to fall as Zog threw tossed the beacon into the air. It let out a red pulse just before Raph threw two ninja stars into it's core, destroying it.
"You fool!" Zog yelled at Raph as he landed.
"I'm sorry I lied to you but I can't let you destroy our world."
"I'll squash you!" He charged for Raph but he moved out of the way and Zog fell over the torch, hanging onto the ledge.
"Zog! Zog, take my hand!" Raph begged as he stretched his arm out to him.
Zog glanced up at him, no emotion on his face. "Long live the Triceraton Empire." He said just before letting go and falling onto the ground, ending his life.
"I'm sorry, Raph." Leo said softly as he walked up to him. "But, atleast we stopped the Kraang."
"And Zog's signal, thank goodness." Donnie added in, smiling.
"Yeah, and on the bright side, we won't have to worry about an invasion of space dinosaurs!" Mikey finished with a smile on his face.
"..I hope not." Raph looked up at the sky with a sad look on his face.
Dragan managed down to where Kara would be but blinked when she saw her leaning between the head and shoulder of the Statue. "...I tak it ye heard..."
"Every word..."
"Raph stopped it in time though so we shuild be on the safe side...right?"
"I dunno, Dre...I really don't know.."
