I know, I know, you're all surprised that I'm updating so early. Miracles do come true! Anyways, I'm going to be out of town for the weekend and didn't want to leave you hanging. Soooo on with the story!
"No, no, ya hae tae push this button then that one for the screen tae come up." Dragan pointed out as she flew the ship with Kara by her side.
"Ok, ok...ah, I see now.." Kara pushed the two buttons as she checked over the ship's engine seeing everything was in the green. "Everything looks good to go. Good thing we had spa day, the Professor really fixed up the ship. She's practically good as new!" Kara closed the screen and hopped over the station and walked over to April who was keeping an eye on any enemy sightings. "See anything, Aps?"
"No signs of Triceratons or anyone else. Looks like it'll be smooth sailing to the ZZ3 Plural X Beta System." April smiled up at her making Kara grin in excitement. "Finally, for once things will be going our way. Feh, and they had doubts that we wouldn't be able to handle this ourselves. Serves them right!"
"The guys do deserve a break from flying the ship after everything they've done and you have gotten better. I'm impressed, Dragan." April smiled her way making Dragan blush.
"It's nothin' once the Professor teaches ya as well as watching Leo drive. It's actually quite easy once ye get the hang o' the controls." Dragan rubbed the back of her head shyly while laughing some.
"You're being too mo-" Suddenly a flashing red light came from April's console grabbing both their attention.
"Oh no.."
"Don't tell me.." Kara sighed, her eyes closed.
"It's the Triceratons!" April stood to her feet as the mothership came into view in front of them.
"I said don't tell me!" Kara shouted before pressing the alarm button with a groan. "Looks like I spoke too soon.."
When everyone arrived on the bridge April turned to them with a look of worry. "Guys, the Triceratons tracked us down." April looked up as the rest of the armada warped into view.
Dragan pushed a button for the Triceratons were transmitting a message to them, Mozar appearing on screen.
"Attention Starship Ulixes! This is Captain Mozar of the Triceraton Empire."
"Uggh, we know who you are Mozar." Kara groaned while rolling her eyes.
"Captain? Didn't this jerk use to be an Admiral?" Raph asked looking over at Mikey.
"Heh, I bet the jerk got demoted cause of us!" Casey laughed making Kara and Dragan grin.
"Serves him right."
"He totally deserved it." Kara chuckled as she and Dragan shared a low-five.
"Idiots! I can hear everything you say!" Captain Mozar yelled in anger. "You are surrounded. Hand over the pieces of the Black Hole Device to me. Or we will blow you out of the cosmos!"
"You'll do that anyway!" Leo argued to Mozar.
"You have my word as a Triceraton that I will allow you a three nexton head start. And then we will chase you down and blow you away!"
"Reeeaal generous, Horn Head." Raph muttered, crossing his arms.
"Hmm..nope, I don't buy it. Why don't we keep the fragments and then you give us aaaa...ten nexton head start? How about that? That seems fair." Kara asked tilting her head curiously while the others snickered behind her.
"What? No! This is not negotiable!" Captain Mozar yelled, throwing his fist around.
"Hmm...I see what you're saying but what if keep the fragments and get aaaa...twenty nexton head start? I'll even throw a goodiebag your way as we leave." Kara held her arms out, smiling ear to ear as the others were trying to contain their giggles and laughs.
Kara grinned hearing Mozar's yells of anger as he pointed right at the screen. "You are wasting my time! Hand over the pieces now or suffer my wrath!"
"You'll have to come over and get it yourself, Mozar." April said, standing to her feet.
"Very well then. Prepare to be boarded." He said before the transmission cut off.
"Well, that bought us some time." Dragan stated between giggles but once she calmed down she looked over at Leo and Fugitoid worriedly. "What shuild we do?"
"Since I was able to upgrade our thrusters we should be able to warp out of here. Just keep heading towards the Plural X Beta System and..avoid getting hit!" Fugitoid yelled as the Triceratons began their assault.
Leo yelled as he hopped over next to Dragan as both of them began flying the ship, turning it around to avoid their fire as they maneuvered around them.
"I don't know long we can outrun them, guys!" Kara yelled as she jumped over next to Donnie.
"And we definitely don't have the firepower to take them all on!" Raph added in.
"Just keep moving towards the Plural X Beta System! We can't afford to let the Triceratons to beat us there!"
"Floor it, Fuge!" Mikey shouted in excitement as the ship began to pick up speed.
"Almost ready for Tachyon Jump." Fugitoid informed them. "They won't be able to track us again because we're awesome!" Fugitoid smiled excitedly to the point his head was spinning, literally
"Everyone brace yourselves!" Donnie shouted.
"We'll be able to make it.." Kara said softly, smiling as she looked up at the screen til they suddenly felt something hit the ship.
"No! Warp Engine Two is out!"
"Spoke too soon..." Kara mumbled smacking her forehead.
"Uh-oh." She heard Mikey say. "What no-"
"Incoming!" Fugitoid yelled as Dragan moved the ship out of the missiles line of fire.
"That was close.."
"We got another one! Hold on!" Dragan took over for the moment maneuvering the ship to avoid contact with the last two missiles and sighed in relief when that was the last of them.
"Good work, team. Nice driving, Dragan." Leo smiled at her making her smile.
"Phew! Those were planet-busters. We would of been vaporized!" Raph shouted in panic.
"They must really have it out for us.." Kara took off her cap and rubbed her forehead before putting it back on.
"Good thing they're gonna hit that moon instead of us."
Everyone suddenly froze at Mikey's words as they all snapped their head to the screen. "MOON?!" All of them shouted at once.
"Oooooh, dear!" Fugitoid panicked as the missiles made contact with the moon and it suddenly exploded to millions of large pieces on impact.
"Thrusters, Fugitoid!"
"Give it everything! Move this boat!" Leo and Dragan shouted as they turned the ship around to and tried to outrun the rubble of the moon but it was too fast so they switched to dodging instead.
"There's mini-moon all over the place!" Mikey shouted.
"You are all doing an outstanding job. Leonardo and Dragan, superb piloting! You two make an excellent team together."
"Ok, I think we're out of the bad part." Leo said with a sigh.
"Not yet, cap..." Kara said as they were flying right back into the Triceratons arms. "Out of the frying pan and into the fire, right?" Kara groaned in annoyance as the Triceraton's began firing at them.
"They're closing in! Raph, Casey, man the cannons!" Leo shouted.
"Do what ye do best." Dragan grinned their way while keeping her eyes focused ahead of her.
"Helloo Horn Head and goodbye!" Raph grinned with wide eyes as he fired at a oncoming ship, destroying it.
Casey used the laser cannons, crossing their beams and destroying another ship. "Laser cross-checking! Two nexton penalty! Can I get a what-what?" He shouted while raising his hands in the air.
"What-what!" Kara joined while laughing but blinked. "Somethings coming our way and it looks big.."
Donnie looked down at his console in worry. "What did they launch at us this time?"
Dragan tilted the ship far enough so that it went past them but she wasn't expecting a two-hitter as a large boulder smashed into the ship leaving a wide gap between the ship and boulder, the vacuum of space trying to suck them in. With the air being sucked out into the gap, large debree started flying everywhere while everyone kept their heads down.
"No! Fugitoid!" April shouted as his head was sliced clean off by large debree, his head landing in Donnie's lap. The only thing he was able to do was stare down in shock til his hands went to the side of his face in a panic, screaming, "Professor!"
Kara held onto her cap and glanced over at the boulder before slamming her hand down on a button. "Sealing the hole!" She shouted as a small machine lowered from the ceiling and began applying a foam like substance around the gap, sealing in completely.
"If that patch takes another hit, we're in trouble."
"And without the Professor, we aren't gonna be able to do anything at all." Donnie said in worry looking down at his head.
"There's got to be something we can do." April said while looking down at her console but nothing seemed to come to mind.
"Yeah! Keep this thing flyin'! We still go Triceratons on our tail!" Casey shouted.
"Leo, Dragan, try to find us some cover to hide in for the time being. We won't be able to think while the Triceratons are firing at us." Kara said, keeping her composure.
"On it."
"Right." Both Leo and Dragan nodded as they focused back on the task at hand.
"Mikey, divert power to thrusters! Donnie, see what you can do about Fugitoid!" Leo ordered not noticing Casey was staring at the boulder curiously.
Casey stood to his feet and walked over to the boulder while bringing out his hockey stick and gave it a single poke. It immediately cracked and yellow-green liquid poured out onto the floor. "Yuck! Meteor gunk?!" It suddenly rose up and began wiggling around as he tried to take a hit. "Aw, man, that's disgusting!" It crawled away from Casey and moved around and through Mikey and Raph before slinking out of the bridge.
"What the heck was that?" Kara asked, standing to her feet.
"My ninja vibes are telling me we better follow them, dudes!" Mikey looked over at them with a serious look on his face.
"Mikey's right. Those things are serious trouble. Come on!" April, Casey, Mikey, and Kara ran to go follow it while the others stayed behind.
"Hurry back!" Raph yelled after them.
"Hmm anybody see any crazy little space critters?" Mikey asked as they searched the first room they went into.
"No..but I certainly hear it.." Kara said as she stopped and went to close her eyes but when something crashed into the ship it sent them all stumbling around.
"We better hurry. Let's check the rec room next! Come on!" April and the others ran out the room but Kara gave it a second glance til she heard one of them calling for her and ran to catch up with them, unaware of the multiple eggs hanging from the ceiling.
"Grrr..these aliens are persistent little buggers.." Dragan growled in annoyance. "Find anythin', Donnie?"
"Hmm...Yes! That nebula, it's made out of gas. We can hide the ship in the clouds!" Dragan turned the ship and hid inside the thickest part she could find.
"D, you really think it's gonna give us enough cover?" Leo asked staring at the screen.
"We're about to find out.." Donnie muttered sitting his elbows onto his thighs, watching the screen in anticipation and worry.
Not long after they were found, the Triceratons firing at their ship once more.
"The answer is no, Leo! It's no!" Raph shouted.
"Thay won't fall for the same trick twice! We need tae cloak!" Dragan shouted while dodging the enemies fire.
"Can we do that, Donnie?"
"Let's hope so! But we're gonna have to slow down to divert power." Donnie informed them.
"Gotcha." Dragan pulled a lever and turned on the breaks as the enemy flew past them.
"Like, now, please?!" Leo shouted in a panic as the Triceratons were closing in on them.
When the cloak's power reached it's max he activated it as Dragan turned away from Triceratons and went to hide in another thick cloud of gas, the Triceratons flying ahead of them.
"Aw, man. I don't think we'll be able to cloak for more than like a few minutes."
"So what do we do, Donnie?" Leo looked at him but noticed Donnie seemed uncertain.
"Eh, um, ok, well...uh we we could um.."
"We got to have power, or those Raptors are gonna find us and take us out!"
"I don't know!" Donnie shouted in anger, slamming his fists onto the console before leaning back in defeat. "This ship is awesomely complex. I'm..I'm not as smart as the Professor, ok? I just build stuff out of junk and Kraang parts!"
"Donnie.." Dragan stood beside him, placing her hand on his shoulder. "We're not asking ye tae be smart like the Professor. We're asking ye tae be your own kind o' smart. You're the only one we can count on an we know ye won't let us down." She smiled softly down at him before turning to Leo and Raph. "All right, boys, divert power from anythin' we don't need. A/C, lights, keep this baby cloaked for as long as possible."
"On it!" Leo said getting straight to work while Raph walked up to them with Fugitoid's head in his arms.
"Look, you're smart enough to build robots like Metalhead, right? Maybe there's a way you can rebuild Fugitoid." Raph smiled down at his brother as he took the Professor's head from Raph.
"Oh, I'm in way over my head here.." Donnie weakly muttered to himself as he stared down at Fugitoid's head.
"Come on, Don, ye can do this. We hae faith in ya...Kara wouldn't want ye doubting yourself an neither do we. Believe in yourself as much as we believe in ya." She gripped his shoulder and gave him a firm yet friendly shake as he looked at her and nodded.
"Right..ok, I can do this." He stood up and went right to work. Dragan smiled as she watched him leave and stared at the screen nervously, unsure of how long the cloak could last.
Casey ran into the rec room first and slipped on more gunk making Kara chuckle til she looked up to see cocoons hanging from the ceiling, her smile fading from her face.
"What the heck are those things? Eggs?" Casey asked as he stood up.
"They look more like cocoons." April said.
"But they're empty..Where'd the little cocoon babies go?" Mikey asked.
Suddenly, the lights went out causing everyone to scream, Mikey jumping onto Casey, and Kara hugging April close and tight. April managed to free her arm and brought out her shooter, turning on the flashlight connected to the top. A wire suddenly fell from the ceiling and out of the corner of their eyes there looked to be a creature sitting on the wire but when they looked nothing was there.
Kara gulped as April walked ahead then Casey followed by her and Mikey as they walked towards the couch. When they made it a small creature came into view chewing on a wire. When the light flashed on to it it turned around to look at them for a moment before returning to it's feeding.
"What are they?" Casey asked as another jumped onto Mikey's head causing him to flail around. Kara ran after him to try and get the thing off him but one went to fly at her. She leaned back to avoid it and grabbed it from the back and threw it onto the ground. "Ha, nice try but-ahh!" Another jumped on her face while she was distracted and she began screaming while trying to get it off.
"We got to stop 'em from chewing up the ship! Ahh!" Casey yelled as one jumped on him.
"Get it off! Get it off!" Kara screamed as she slammed it into the wall multiple times before it's grip on her loosened and fell off her. She sighed in relief but looked over seeing Mikey was in trouble and kicked the one that was on him off while April levitated the other two and threw them aside.
"Thanks April, Kara." Mikey stood to his feet and brought out a nun-chuk.
All three of them stared down at the two creatures ready to take them on when one of them had a chewed on wire in each hand. Kara blinked and shook her head. "Don't you da-"
It grinned up at them and smashed the two pieces together. Kara grabbed the two and threw them over the couch as it caused an electric surge, the TV exploding in the process, which gave them cover for their escape.
"No! Those little creeps got away!" Mikey shouted while Kara closed her eyes to find any sign of them in the room. "They're long gone now.."
"I know where they're going: The Engine room!" April held onto her crystal with her eyes closed and looked over at them seeing Kara and Casey's shocked faces.
"We better get there fast!"
"Dudes, that's, like, the worst place they could destroy!" Kara and Casey ran off with April behind them.
"What are you talking about? They already took out the TV!" Mikey yelled after them.
"Mikey!" Kara shouted making Mikey groan and follow after them.
After working on the finishing touches to the Professor's head, Donnie set his tools down and turned it over to face him. "Ok, I-I think this should do it. Possibly? Hopefully...mmm.." Donnie touched his forehead to the Professor's his doubt returning when he suddenly heard him stuttering alive.
"H-h-h-h-hello, fellas!" Fugitoid smiled up at Donnie while the others cheered around them.
"Phew, thank goodness my brain was in stasis. I feel so light-headed. Literally."
"Professor, we're cloaked but not for long. We need more power. We need you!"
"Take me to the Engine Room. I have spare parts in the storage closet. You can put me back together, Donatello. I know you can."
Donnie smiled down at him but looked over at Leo as he began to speak.
"You got to move fast, Donnie. Sooner or later, the Triceratons are gonna find us."
"No pressure, D...ye got this." Dragan smiled at him and he nodded, standing up to leave. "Thanks Dragan."
When the group finally made it to the Engine room..it was too late.
"Oh no. It can't be.."
"We're..too late.." Kara whispered but blinked when Donnie shoved past them. "Excuse me, guys, I don't have much time." He walked forward but was suddenly pulled back by the mask by Mikey. "Um, I think you're gonna want to see this, Don."
Donnie looked at them then up where he was looking and gasped. "What in the space apples is that?!" The alarms started blaring as a gremlin ripped apart a wire. "Oh, no! They're destroying the engine feeds! We're gonna lose power!"
"Get them off there now!" Kara yelled as she charged forward but suddenly the lights cut off completely leaving them in the dark with the gremlins and their glowing eyes. Kara and Mikey screamed as they held onto each other, frightened. "Space Gremlins!"
The gremlins climbed off the engine and ran at them but Casey stood in front of them and started smacking, punching, and kicking the things away. "Bring it on, you freaks!"
"Guys, take those gremlins down before they destroy the ship!" Donnie shouted as he ran forward to go straight to work.
"Got it." Kara nodded and brought out her blades, jumping down to the lower level with Mikey while April and Casey too care of the ones on the top level.
"If we use too much power to try and get out of their way, we'll lose the cloak for sure." Leo flinched hearing whatever they were dropping down were getting closer to them with each minute that passed.
"Down to three percent power. Come on, Donnie, give us a miracle here." Raph stared down at the console in frustrated panic.
"Guys, trust in him. He'll pull it off. We just need tae stay calm an worry about here on the bridge." Despite Dragan's calm demeanor she too was beginning to grow nervous at how long it was taking and decided to see. "What's going on down thare?" She asked over the intercom.
"We're battling Space Gremlins, brah! Ahh!" One jumped on Mikey as he struggled to get it off. "We'll get back to you!"
"Space what?!" Raph shouted, eyes wide in fright.
Kara sent an energy wave at the one on Mikey, it exploding into green goo all over it. "Ugh, yuck! Thanks, Kara.." Mikey wiped it off his shoulders but gasped and threw his chain her way. "Duck, dudette!" Kara did as she was told as he took out two of them coming at her from behind. "Thanks, Mikey." She gave him a thumbs up and ran off to finish the rest of them.
Mikey threw the last one into the engine core, it exploding on contact. "Phew! I think that was the last one." Suddenly, the alarms were blaring as electric sparks shot out from the core. "Ok, everything just got a lot worse!"
"The cloak dispersed!" Dragan shouted, eyes wide in panic.
"We're naked! Ahh! Full thrusters, now!" Leo shouted.
"We can't outrun 'em! Thrusters are down to three percent!"
Dragan glanced back seeing everyone had returned. "What about the Space Gremlins?"
"They're taken care of." Kara said while keeping her eye on the screen seeing the Triceratons were closing in on them. When the firing had stopped they all looked at each other curious til something crashed right through the hole they sealed, the force throwing April, Casey, and Mikey across the room.
The vacuum of space began to suck them all out but Mikey thought quickly and wrapped his chain around the rail, catching April before she could get sucked away. Kara stabbed her blades into the seat of her station to keep her locked in when she looked up to see three Triceratons enter the ship.
"You two, retrieve the Black Hole Generator. I'll take care of the turtles."
Kara smacked her hand on the button again that brought out the sealer, sealing the large hole in the wall once more. When they were able to move again Raph and Casey jumped at the soldier but when their attacks did nothing they went to retreat only to get caught by the soldier and be slammed against each other then thrown away.
April began shooting her pistol while Mikey and Kara did a combo attack with her energy blast but she was caught and was used to hit Mikey away then was thrown at Dragan as she charged for an attack, all three of them groaning in pain.
Leo ran at him with his swords drawn and jumped over him as he fired his weapon, running around dodging the lasers, til he jumped onto a station and went in for an attack only to get rammed in the chest by it's horns and then stepped on, Leo letting out a yell of pain.
Seeing the Triceraton aiming it's weapon at Leo to finish him off, both Kara and Dragan shakingly stood to their feet and went to attack but blinked when they saw Donnie's staff fly by and knock the weapon out of the Triceratons hand. They looked over to see him leaning against the wall non-chalantly and gasped when Fugitoid made his entrance and completely obliterated the soldier.
"Hello, everyone! Miss me?" Fugitoid asked cheerily.
Kara and Dragan looked at each other, smiling in relief before getting serious hearing Raph's words. "The Black Hole Generator! We got to stop them!"
"You guys get the Black Hole Generator! I'll pilot the ship."
"We'll pilot the ship." Dragan said sitting down next to him. "Ye guys do your thing." Dragan smiled at them as Kara, Donnie, Mikey, and Casey ran down to where they were holding the fragments but an explosion caused them to fall and cover their faces as the stairs were filled with cloud of smoke.
"We're too late! They got the pieces, Leo."
"No.." Kara stumbled to her feet and ran back up to the bridge. "We have to go after them!"
"Professor, the Tri-Fleet is movin' in on our position tae finish us off!"
"Our destruction would be a big, tremendous bummer. We must escape! I will use my fusion core reactor to give our engines the power they need, but it may fry the ship in the process." Fugitoid began typing into his console.
"I don't think we have a choice!" April shouted from the engine room.
"Clear all planetary systems! Prepare for acceleration!" Fugitoid yelled as his eyes glew bright orange, the engine core glowing as well as they warped away to safety.
"Finally. Looks like we're safe. Ship's barely functioning. We'll need to find some kind of service station and make repairs." Raph looked over at everyone.
Kara stared at the space in front of her in shock. The two pieces they worked so hard for...were taken right out of their hands.
Donnie stared right at her watching her believing she probably blamed him for everything that happened. He sunk to his knees in defeat, punching the ground. "All of that, for nothing!..I failed!"
April went to go say something to him but stopped when Kara turned around and walked straight to Donnie. She bent down to her knees in front of him, grabbing the sides of his face so that he was looking at her. "No, no you didn't, Donnie. If you hadn't use your smarts to repair the Professor and bring him back online...we probably would be dead by now. You saved us all." She smiled brightly, ignoring the pain of her lost hope and wiped away a tear that slid down his face and hugged him close.
"Yup! What's important is that we're alive, Donnie. Thanks to you." Mikey jumped in beside them, smiling. Kara smiled at him as she let him go, seeing the Professor walking over to them.
"Donatello, you should be very proud of yourself. Bleep. You used some of my spare parts in ways I would never have thought of. I think I'm built even better than before! And between you and me, bleep, I believe it would only take you, bleep, two thousand years to master Transdimensional Physics." Fugitoid placed his hand on Donnie's shoulder and smiled at him before bringing him into a hug.
"Oh, great. Well, I guess I'll get started on that right away."
Kara giggled as Fugitoid hugged him tight enough to where Donnie was lifted off his feet and looked over at Leo.
"We're not out of this yet. We've got to find that last piece."
"That outta slow them down." Dragan grinned, leaning her arm against Leo's shoulder.
"And then we take back the other pieces, and make those Dino-Creeps pay big time. Goongalaa!" Casey shouted as everyone followed suit.
