To Guest: I will be doing this chapter and Power Within her but after that..You Were So Real will be on hiatus til the Nick TMNT creators make more episodes, you know, since this story IS following the episodes. But, anyways, are you guys excited! So close to the last episode where, spoilers, THERE WILL BE FEELS! *clears throat* Ok, on with the story.
The bell tells the hour that's passed.
After stomping on his foot, Shredder leaned close to Splinter, staring down at him. "You will die. And then all of your loved ones will be next."
It rings again as a reminder.
Splinter turned his head over to his sons seeing them fighting off the robots alongside Miwa, April, and Dragan but he noticed reinforcements were coming and they'd be too much to handle. Splinter glared up at Shredder, bringing out a kunai knife and threw it behind him where a pile of explosive bombs lay. When they exploded, the bridge they were on began to fall with them still on it.
It's soft chime toys with them at the tragedy unfolding.
"Sensei!" Kara heard Donnie yell and looked over to see them falling. "Master Splinter!"
Then darkness for their falling Master.
"Father!"
"Nooo!"
Raph looked up as more elites with arrows began firing at them. "Everybody move!"
Dragan gritted her teeth as she made a path for Donnie and Kara. Seeing Splinter go down again..it just wasn't fair.
When the last of them made it through the door, Leo and Raph shut it behind them. "He...He has to be alive, right?"
"I don't sense him at all." April said, trying to reach him telepathically.
"That drop is atleast a thousand foot drop. Even he couldn't survive a fall like that."
"Yes, he will.." Kara said through heavy breaths. "He will make it out of this alive."
"We have to keep going. For Splinter." Karai looked at them all til the door behind them exploded, causing them all to scatter.
Kara removed the bandana from her neck and tied it as tightly as she could around her bleeding wound and stood to her feet, nodding to Karai.
"Oh, sewer apples.." Mikey looked up to see Beebop and Rocksteady along with an army of elites."
"Hold on tae your butts, everyone.."Dragan narrowed her eyes, lifting her sword up.
"Ah-hahs! You should have runs when you had chance! Now I will be doing all the squishings!" Rocksteady laughed, punching his fist into his palm.
"No way, dog, we talked about this. I want to blast 'em!" Bebop interjected, protesting the idea.
"Nyet, comrade Bebop. I like the squishings! You always do the blastings."
Kara rolled her eyes at their constant yammering and turned around ready to leave until she heard Mikey speak.
"Yeah, but guys, if you squish us, you won't get..the secret information."
"What do you mean, secret information?" Rocksteady asked, confused.
"There's some things you don't know about us. We have..salmonella!"
"What?!"
"That's nasty!"
"You Turtles are being nasty gross!"
Suddenly, Leo and Raph got the drop on both of them, Bebop and Rocksteady shouting their protests at being not only touched by the 'infected' turtles but being surprised attacked as well.
Once Rocksteady charged, everyone attacked. Everyone blitzed Rocksteady to keep him off balance til Karai landed the finishing blow, knocking him off his feet. As soon as Leo took down the last elite, everyone was running the ahead of Leo.
"Hurry, Leo! Move!"
"Get a move on, Leo!" April and Dragan shouted.
"Where are you going?" Leo turned around to see even more elites. "Oh..snap." He sheathed his sword and followed after the others.
"Where the heck did he get these guys?! Didn't we destroy their robot making factory?!" Kara yelled in anger as they climbed up the ladder.
"He must have another one. Some place off the grid." Karai answered her.
"That dirty low-life.." Kara grumbled as she tried to keep her mind off the pain.
When they made it back to the train tracks they all ran off hoping to outrun the elites. The Elites arrived and looked around til a bright light caught their attention and before they could react, they were run over by an oncoming train; the guys and girls on the caboose, chuckling.
"Looks like they missed their train." Kara chuckled to herself.
"It sure didn't miss them though." Dragan grinned as everyone laughed.
Back at the base, Casey Jackson was tending to Kara's wound while everyone else was in deep thought about what happened.
"Everyone can relax. Casey Hones is here." Casey smirked and pointed to himself while tossing his dufflebag to the side. "So what's the deal? Why'd I get, like, a hundred and twenty seven emergency texts? The pizza deliver guy disappear?" He blinked when he noticed Kara's wound but waited for an explanation.
"No. Splinter disappeared. He-he fell down that huge chasm in the Undercity." April told him.
"Woah. That's deep, yo." Casey looked at April worriedly.
"I've definitely lost my mental connection with Splinter. B-But that doesn't mean he's gone. We can't give up hope." April said almost as if she was telling herself that more than to anyone else.
"That's right. Splinter is still alive. He-he has to be. Right, guys? Right?"
"He is, Mikey."
Mikey and the others looked over at Kara in surprise.
"Kara.." Casey Jackson went to say but stopped when he saw she was surprisingly calm about it all.
"I don't need any mental powers to know he's alive. I can feel it not only in my gut..but in my heart as well." Kara placed her right hand over her heart and looked down, the memories from her childhood with him and up til now playing in her mind.
Dragan smiled at her and stood to her feet, placing her sword over her shoulder. "That settles it. We're going bak."
"Right. We'll search every inch of that hole if we have to. We'll find Master Splinter. And we'll stop anything that gets in our way."
"Oooh, ye just gave me chills." Dragan chuckled, leaning against Leo and giving him a kiss on the cheek.
Once Casey Jackson had wrapped up her arm, he stood to his feet. "I'd advise you not to fight but I know I'd be wasting my breath. Count me in in finding your father and teacher." Casey popped his knuckles, smirking at the thought of getting some action in.
"Wait. I have an idea that'll keep Kara out of harms way." Donnie said, grabbing everyone's attention. He gulped, feeling Kara's glare on him but ignored it as he went to explain.
Everyone was getting ready and just as they were about to leave they gave a heroic pose, to who exactly? No idea.
"Waait, dudes. How come the B-team has to do this mission?"
"Psh. Speak for yourself." Kara said but looked down at the harness, pulling at the straps uncomfortably. "I don't even know how to use this thing.."
Leo rolled his eyes, ignoring Kara. "Because we're gonna guard you from the Super Shredder. Unless you'd like to switch jobs."
"Except you, Kara."
"Except ye, Kara." Everyone said before Kara could even open her mouth making her yell in annoyance.
"Spelunking, it is." Mikey smiled wide.
"So, if Shredder is still alive, and his goons show up-"
"We'll be ready." Raph finished April's sentence before holding his arm out. "For Sensei."
"For Sensei."
"For Sensei." They all, including Casey Jackson, placed their hands over Raph's and departed back to the Undercity.
As they ran Kara began to feel an uncomfortable pain in her body. She wasn't able to quite make out where it was coming from but it was something she couldn't ignore. Suddenly, she let out a gasp as the pain suddenly shot through her body and she stumbled forward. Dragan glanced behind her seeing Kara had fallen over and skidded to a stop.
"Kara! You ok?" She bent over to help her up.
"Is my invention too heavy for you?" Donnie asked in concern bending down on her other side.
"Alittle but it's not that..it's something else. I just felt this jolt of pain and I don't know where it came from.." With Donnie and Dragan's help she began to pick herself up from the ground but the minute she placed any weight on her right leg she felt even greater pain than before that caused her to scream and drop back down.
"KARA!" Both Donnie and Dragan grew even more worried, Donnie pulling her pant leg up to see if there was anything wrong with it but saw nothing out of the ordinary.
"You better not have been lying to me back there, Kara." Casey Jackson said in an almost stern voice though it was hidden behind worry.
Dragan stared down at her leg then up to her face. She closed her eyes to think, remembering she was doing fine when they left and up til now. "So what could be wro-...Master Splinter. He must still be alive but in great pain. She must be able tae feel it then.." "Come on, girl, you've been through worse. Ye can make it through this. Splinter is alive an waiting for us." She was able to lift Kara to her feet with ease, despite the heavy contraption on her back.
Kara nodded and shakily placed her foot down. When she felt nothing she sighed in relief and put her weight evenly down on it. "Ok, Ok, I think I'm good now. Come on, we don't have a moment to lose."
-In the Undercity-
Everyone made it to the entrance without anymore interruptions.
"I'll stay here on look-out. The rest of you, hurry up. Master Splinter needs you." Leo looked at Donnie, Kara, and Mikey, who were going down into the chasms and Raph and the Casey's who were going to keep them safe.
"Got it." Casey Jackson nodded as they all left.
"We'll stay with you, Leo." April said to him as she, Karai, and Dragan stood beside him.
"If Shredder survived, you can't take him alone." Karai stated.
"Psh. Well, thanks for your vote of confidence."
"Eh, it's more like, we don't want ye tae have all the fun. Besides, I'll always be by your side. Through thick an thin." Dragan placed her hands on her hips, smiling at him.
Leo looked at her and smiled softly, nodding. "Yeah."
-Inside the Undercity-
"Np way, dog, I'm not climbing down there, either! Come on, we're doin' rock, paper, scissors. One, two, three." Bebop and Rocksteady shook their arms at the count of three before revealing Bebop getting paper, and Rocksteady getting rock.
"Ha! Paper beats rock, son!" Bebop laughs at his victory, slapping his paper over Rocksteady's rock.
"But paper no good against rock! Rock destroy paper!" Rocksteady protested angrily, poking Bebop in the chest.
Bebop smacked away his hand and demonstrated how the game worked. "Dummy, paper wraps around a rock like this! Do I got to keep explaining it to you?"
"So where did Splinter jump? This way?" Bebop and Rocksteady heard Casey so Bebop pushed Rocksteady somewhere they could hide.
"What you do that for?" Rocksteady asked.
"The Turtles are looking for Splinter. So we wait here, let them do all the work for us and haul Splinter's body! Tight!" Bebop said before hugging onto Rocksteady. "Very tight." Rocksteady agreed before both of them turned invisible, just as the guys and Kara came into view.
"I think it was somewhere around here...yeah, it was here." Kara looked over the edge, seeing part of the area Splinter and Shredder were on, still crumbling.
Donnie began to instruct her on how to use the grappling device and shot out one of the lines into a solid pillar behind him.
"Sweet! Grapple harness time!" Mikey smiled, humming a tune while bobbing his head side to side.
"We have to take it slow, Mikey. The walls are crumbling, so be careful. You got me? Be care-ful." Donnie looked wording out every syllable.
"I always am, D." Mikey took a running jump, shouting, "Booyakashaaa!" He turned around and has his wire stab into the part of the bridge that was still stable and continued to fall downward. "Woah, dude! This cave goes on for, like, ever!"
"Mikey!" Donnie groaned while rolling his eyes before turning to Kara. "You ready?"
Kara finally managed to have the grappling wire stab into the same pillar as Donnie but have it far enough to where they don't bump into each other. "Ready." She smiled, giving him a thumbs up as they walked towards the edge. "Take it slow, Kara. Master Splinter's down there..somewhere."
"I know he is, Donnie.." Kara gave him a reassuring smile as they both began to walk down the wall.
"I hope they're ok. It's awfully quiet down there." Raph was down on his knees, staring into the darkness of the chasm, worrying for not only his brothers and friend; but for Master Splinter as well.
"Be patient, Raph, as well as faithful. Kara and your brothers will find your father. He is a strong-willed and wise man. I'm sure not only will he be ok, but he'll be able to pull himself out of this mess." Casey Jackson placed his hand on Raph's shoulder, smiling down at him. "Besides, who knows how long we'll be there. No reason to stress yourself. We need to be on guard."
"Ugggh! This is getting to be so boring!" Casey Jones yelled, hitting hockey pucks at the wall. "I wish something crazy would happen." When the smacked his puck it ricochet off another and hit something, Casey hearing an "ouch" of pain. "Woah! Raph, Casey, someone's out there."
Raph and Casey moved over to Jones, Casey pulling out his brass knuckles, as Jones hit another puck in between the walls not only hearing another "ouch!" but revealing Bebop and Rocksteady.
"You jerks, you hit me in my piggy snout!"
"Pigman and Rhino dude?" Casey Jackson asked remembering them from the fight against the Triceratons. He blinked when he noticed them holding hands. "Were we interrupting something?"
Bebop and Rocksteady looked at each other then down at their hands before letting go. "Hey, it's Bebop and Rocksteady! Now, you will bring us furry rat man ninja or we will break you like dancer!"
"No, no, breakdancing ain't got nothing to do with aw, forget it. Take 'em down, G!" Bebop pointed at them as Rocksteady roared and charged.
"Look out!" Raph yelled as all three of them jumped backwards from Rocksteady's hammer before Bebop jumped over him, throwing one of his energy hair at them.
"Master Splinter! Hellooo!" Mikey yelled as he dangled in the air from his harness.
"Quiet, Mikey!" Donnie whispered harshly. "If Super Shredder survived that fall.."
"Sorry, D, but how else are we gonna find him?"
"There are tons of caves down here." Donnie stared at his tracker and sighed in despair. "How are we gonna find him?"
"He's not around here. He's more towards the bottom." Kara said as she kept her eyes downwards.
"How do you know?" Donnie glanced over to her, her being on the opposite side of the pillar they were walking down.
"Just a gut feeling, I guess. I don't know how to explain it but my gut is telling me he's further down."
"How is that possible without any psychic or telepathic abilities?" Donnie questioned curiously. All Kara could do was shrug.
Mikey swung to where she was at, staring at her, when a thought came to him. "What if it's because she has known Master Splinter longer than all of us? Remember the first day we met? She seemed like she knew Master Splinter even when he had been mutated!"
Kara turned her gaze to the side in thought. She never thought about it but she is the one who has known him the longest, having been trained by him from such a young age.
"That is a possibility. We should keep moving. If you feel anything, let us know." Donnie walked over to her side and placed his hand on her arm. She turned to him and nodded, all three of them continuing downward.
-Outside the Undercity-
Dragan was adjusting her armor when she heard April speak.
"They're coming. They'll be here any minute."
"There's no way we'll be able to keep them from the Undercity." Karai said looking over at Leo.
"Aw, come on, now. Hae a little faith in your friends every once in awhile."
"We bait them to the surface."
"No, we take then down on the surface. We finish them both."
"Once an for all.." Dragan clenched the hilt of her sword and looked up hearing the growl of Tigerclaw. "Here they come. Prepare yourselves!" They all turned around to see Tigerclaw and Super Shredder enter the room.
"Master Shredder. Karai!" Tigerclaw pointed over at them.
"Time to move!" Leo shouted as they all left for the surface.
"I want the Turtle. You can destroy the girl and Dragan. Save me Karai." Super Shredder said to Tigerclaw. Tigerclaw nodded to Shredder and brought out his pistols, firing at them all as they climbed up the worker's ladder.
-In the Undercity-
"Lookin' good, Raph!" Casey Jackson chuckled glancing at Raph riding Rhino-man while dodging Pigman's laser hips.
"I've got your punk butt now!" Bebop shouted at Casey Jones. While he was distracted, Casey Jackson ran at him from behind and started sending in combo attacks but Bebop kept dodging. "Shamone, shamone, shamone! Eeeh-hee! Hoo-Hoo!" Bebop sang, disappearing from their sights and reappearing on a pillar above them, firing some more.
"Well, this might get difficult." Casey Jackson muttered, blowing his bangs from his face.
-In the City-
Dragan was on look out while April pulled herself up on the roof.
"Did we lose 'em?" Karai asked, looking down at April.
"Ya know, I'm gonna go out on a limb here an say-"
"Look out!" April shouted, interrupting Dragan's sentence, just as Tigerclaw sprung from out of nowhere.
"I was gonna say no but that works too!" Dragan distanced herself from Tigerclaw, bringing her sword and shield out. When Leo smacked into the wall and fell towards the ground, her eyes widened and she ran to where she was, knowing April and Karai could handle Tigerclaw. "Leo! Ye ok?"
"I'm..ok.."
"Leo! He's coming towards ya!" Dragan shouted, immediately putting away her sword and shield and jumping down the building by the fire escape as fast as she could. When she landed, Super Shredder had already thrown Leo out into the street and into a car. Crowds of people screamed and fled as he made his way towards Leo.
Hearing Leo screaming in pain caused something within Dragan to snap. With a battlecry, she ran at Super Shredder, sword drawn, and sliced off one of his arms.
Shredder let out a painful cry, dropping Leo, and took a couple steps backwards, holding his bleeding arm. Dragan didn't stop there; her glare burned into Shredder as she jumped towards him, slashing in every direction. Despite his fortified body, small cuts were forming here and there on his body. Shredder roared in anger and slammed his fist down with enough force to not only create a crater, but send a force of strong wind her way. Dragan retaliated, bringing out her shield and bend down to where he covered her whole body, holding her ground.
When she stood, the shield went back in her gauntlet and when she went to attack once more she froze in shock at what she was witnessing.
Shredder was holding his hand and yelling in pain as another arm grew back out of nowhere. She clenched his fingers, able to have feeling again and turned towards her, glaring. "You will pay for that, wretched girl."
"Only if I pay wi your life!" Dragan yelled, pointing her sword at him.
One glared at the other, Dragan clenching her sword tight, before both of them charged. Dragan attacked anywhere around the blades but he would counter, moving his arms to where she only made contact with the blades. He moved his hand downward for a punch and just as she was about to jump backwards, he grabbed her head and slammed her into a car multiple times before throwing her down onto the ground.
She let out a gasp of pain, feeling the shock through the armor and let out a groan as she felt him press his foot against her. "You are nothing to me, Dragan." He said, glaring down at her as he began to push his weight on her. She had her hands around his foot, trying to push him off but his weight was too much for her. She glared at him as she bit down on her lip to keep from screaming but the pressure was too much. She threw her head back crying out in pain.
"Shredder!" April shouted, climbing on top of a car behind him.
Karai landed towards his side, bringing out her sword. "Let her go, freak."
"Do not disrespect me, daughter!" Shredder took his foot off her but not without kicking her away from him, sending her flying into a wall.
"Dragan!" Leo shouted, running towards her.
While his back was turned, April sent a broken washing machine at him, startling him but a moment. "What?" He turned around to see April levitating different objects around her. Before she could throw them at him, Shredder clapped his hands hard enough to send another forceful wind at her, knocking her off the car and onto the ground.
As he walked towards April, Karai flew at him from behind, going for his head, but due to his metal face, her sword slid past it. "Ha!" She jumped off him, landing low on her feet. "I just need to find a soft spot, monster!"
Shredder yelled and slammed his fists down onto the ground but Karai jumped away.
-In the Undercity-
"Psst, hey Jonsie."
"Yeah, Jackson?" Casey Jones glanced over to Casey Jackson as both of them continued to dodge Bebop's lasers.
"Keep Pigman distracted. I'm going to climb up on that pillar and take him down from above. Got it?"
"Casey Jones has got this covered." Casey smirked at him and began throwing hockey pucks at Bebop while Casey Jackson snuck around them for the attack. Bebop was able to easily dodge his attacks all the while sending his lasers back at him. He smirked under his breath not letting them realize he had heard their plan. Despite wanting to yell at the older guy about his name, he kept quiet, pretending to fall into their trap as he began to moonwalk backwards to where hockey boy was sending him.
Just when he was about to go under the pillar, Bebop suddenly jumped around and began firing his lasers up at the top. "Haha! I could heard you two whispering away at each other. And my name isn't Pigman!" Bebop yelled while stomping his foot but blinked when no one was there. "What the?"
"Oink oink. Pigman." Casey Jackson said softly from behind him and kneed him right in the middle of his back. Before he could fly too far away, Casey spun around and kicked him right back at Casey Jones who sent him flying to the ground, unconscious, with his hockey stick. "Wooo! The Casey's win in overtime! Nice!" Jones high-fived Jackson before going over to Raph.
-In the City-
Dragan groaned as she pushed herself up.
"Dragan, you're hurt badly. Stay down." Leo insisted, placing his hand to her chest to stop her.
Dragan ignored him but blinked when she couldn't feel her sword. "Ma sword..I need ma sword."
Leo looked around and when he finally found it he went to retrieve it but as he did, he had crossed Shredder's path and ended up getting hurt in the process.
"Stop! Don't do this! You can do something good for once, Saki! Something without malice. Without the need for revenge!" Karai pleaded with him, staring up at him as he had raised his blades to end Leo's life.
"Karai..." Shredder dropped Leo, pulling his blades back in his arms and fell to his knees in front of her. "I-I never meant to hurt you. Please," He crawled towards her, clutching his blue heart, "Call me father. Not Saki."
Karai looked down at his naked heart then to Leo. "You..were never my father!" Karai yelled as she slammed her fist into his heart. Shredder grunted in pain before blue liquid shot out from his mouth, spilling all around them. Shredder turned around as his body began to change again. "No! Not now. Not now!" He yelled as he went to flee.
Karai picked up her sword and ran at him to finish it once and for all but large icicles blocked her way. "No!" She shouted in anger watching as Tigerclaw intervened and took Shredder away. "We can't let them escape!"
"Karai, Dragan's in no shape to continue on. We need to get her back to the lair." Leo explained, looking down worriedly at Dragan.
Karai turned, watching as Tigerclaw and Shredder fled the scene. "You're right." Karai sheathed her sword and moved towards them. "Next time."
"I'm fine. We cannae let him esca-aah, ok, I was wrong.." Dragan groaned in pain as Leo and Karai helped her to her feet. "Och, his foot stunk just as bad as his breath.."
Leo rolled his eyes but smiled softly as she tried to lighten the mood.
-Below the Undercity-
"Master Splinter!" Mikey continued to shout. Donnie seemed almost ready to call it when Kara held up her hand. "Guys...he's here.." She closed her eyes and waited for them to quiet down as she waited patiently for a sound, anything at all.
"My-My sons!" All of them heard below them.
Donnie shone a light and indeed saw Master Splinter alive.
"Sensei!"
"Thank you, great pizza maker in the sky! Woo-hoo-hoo!" Mikey, Donnie, and Kara dropped down and ran towards him, hugging him tightly.
"I have never been happier to see such smiling faces." Master Splinter said and hugged them close.
"We're so glad that you're alive, Master Splinter." Kara squeezed her eyes to keep herself from crying but let out a joyous laugh.
All three of them were able to bring Master Splinter back to the surface of the Undercity safely where a loving reunion took place.
Everyone helped each other back to the lair where Master Splinter and Dragan were being treated as well as the others who had minor wounds. Everyone slept in the livingroom, Master Splinter being surrounded by his sons and family. He closed his eyes, smiling softly to himself and was able to get a good nights sleep even after that horrible hallucination.
