To Kate: Why thank you! :D Of course I'll add more fluff in the story (it's really fun to write x3) As for the 2018 reboot? It all depends on what changes they make and how it goes. Writing most of these chapters came naturally to me (except for fillers x.x). I can't give you a for sure answer but if I do decide to, you will all know ;p. To Geovanny: Thank you for being so patient. I know waiting must of been awful for you guys but I will make it up to you by adding...a surprise twist at the end. Muahahahahahahaaaa-*cough. hack. clears throat* 'Xcuse me. Anyways, we're back on schedule people! ON WITH THE STORY! (Just out of curiosity: does anyone actually read these small notes before and after the chapter? xD)
"We must continue the search for Karai. She is out there somewhere." Shredder stated to Tigerclaw.
"I do not think she is with the Turtles. She and Shinigami have often been spotted alone." Tigerclaw said calmly as he sharpened his blade.
"We must not waste any more time. Now is the-Ah! Ah!" Shredder yelled in pain, dropping to his knees as the unstable mutagen began to warp his body.
"Master!" Tigerclaw stood worried for him.
"Stockman is on the verge of stabilizing me." Shredder said to Tigerclaw to ease his worry.
"He has been saying that for months.."
"I will soon be ready to face Splinter again. But for now, I want the Turtles and their friends." Shredder stood back up just as the hologram disappeared leaving Tigerclaw alone.
Shredder stood alone in his room, calming himself down after the short attack. He stared down at his hands as he remembered fighting Kara and seeing her different colored eyes; a small child with the same eyes popped into his mind. It couldn't have been a coincidence. He clenched his hand and pressed a button to comm in one of his minions.
"Xever."
"Yes, Master Shredder." Xever answered over the comm link.
"Call in some old friends. It's time we had a talk.."
"Of course, Master Shredder." Who would you like called?"
The guys and Casey Jones circled around Master Splinter while the girls watched on the sidelines.
"Master, I think you forgot your sword." Leo said in his fighting stance.
"Perhaps I don't nee a sword." Master Splinter reached into his robe, causing the boys to gasp and raise their guard, and pulled out a small gourd. He popped open the cap and began to drink from it. Everyone stared in confusion as Master Splinter began to sway from side to side with a goof look on his face. It was Casey Jones to strike first.
"Goongala!" He shouted as he raised his hockey stick. Master Splinter's eyes were in a daze as he glanced towards Casey and bent forward, dodging his strike, and took a large step to the right, dragging his upper body with him as Casey attacked once more. He went for another but Master Splinter leaned his upper body backwards, Casey missing again, and jerked his body forward sending a headbutt at Casey; throwing him at Raph.
Raph dropped Casey aside and brought out his sai before charging at Master Splinter. Splinter dodged his attacks and grabbed Raph's shoulders, shaking him, before he spun him like a top. Raph landed on top of Casey Jones with a thud.
It was Mikey's turn. Mikey dropped one end of his chucks and began to maneuver them around while making intimidating noises.
Master Splinter gave him a goofy smile as he changed his stance, moving in wide motions that left him completely open. He held his hand up towards Mikey and let out a burp.
"Eww." Mikey ran at Master Splinter, throwing his nunchuks to try and hit him but Master Splinter dodged his attacks with ease but blinked when his back hit the wall. "Aha!" Mikey shouted with a grin until Master Splinter leaned over getting face to face with him. He was not only confused but scared as Master Splinter took rather wide steps after Mikey as he began to back away til he tripped over the border of the tree.
Donnie went up behind Master Splinter, his staff raised, and let out a battlecry as he went to strike. He stared, confused, to see he was gone unaware that Master Splinter had crawled underneath him til he felt his hands around his ankles and pulled him up by his feet. "Woah!" Donnie yelled as Master Splinter pushed him around forcing him to walk on his hands.
When he finally stopped, Donnie looked at him only to yell as he kicked him right into Mikey who had finally gotten to his feet.
Master Splinter then turned to Leo, who seemed somewhat hesitant on how to attack. Splinter took now thought to it as he went back to drinking. When Leo did charge forward and strike, Master Splinter jumped into the air; surprising Leo. He looked around confused til he saw Splinter falling down towards and landed right on top of him. Leo yelled out loud as Splinter shook him while he tried to stay on his feet. When Splinter stopped shaking him, he took a deep breath and blew raspberries right into his eye; Leo finally falling.
Both Kara and Dragan were holding each other trying to contain their laughter but once the fighting had stopped, they could no longer hold it and busted out laughing.
The boys stared at the girls not only embarrassed but annoyed at how they failed as they gathered around their father to hear the day's lesson.
"Unorthodox methods may sometimes be necessary in order to defeat the enemy." Master Splinter said through slurred words, his voice raising and lowering as if he couldn't control his volume. "Yet you should also be prepared for your enemy to do the same. Therefore, you all must learn to hone your intuition." A burp interrupted his lesson before he could finish. "Leonardo and Michelangelo have the strongest ability to sharpen their intuition. Anger clouds too much of Raphael's mind. Donatello's too grounded in his rational mind. Only April's is near perfection."
Everyone looked over at April as she levitated her Tessen with her powers.
"Casey, your intuition is basically zero...point..zero."
"Casey Jones is a born warrior. I got tons of intuition, yo. Ah!" Casey yelled when Master Splinter smacked his mask over his face with his tail.
"Did you intuit that?" He asked as the boys laughed.
"I wonder about our intuition.." Dragan said softly looking down at her lap. "What do ye think, Kara?"
"I'm not sure, really. I wonder if it has something to do with the way I fight.."
"Now you have graduated to the next Dan. There is nothing to give you, only wisdom: Listen to the silent part of yourself, which was never born into this world." Casey Jones snuck behind Master Splinter and was making goofy faces at him and went to pretend to hit him with his hockey stick only to get smacked again by his tail.
"Woah! That was deep. Raph, I got insight into that knowledge Splinter just dropped cause I'm more spiritual than you."
Suddenly, April let out a loud gasp, dropping her Tessen. Everyone looked over at her curiously.
"April?" Master Splinter questioned as they all gathered around her.
Donnie was able to snap her out of it. "April? What happened?"
"I uh I had a premonition of some kind. There were these twin blades. Casey, you need to be careful. Very careful."
"Casey Jones doesn't do careful."
"Said from the big guy himself." Kara crossed her arms, looking at Casey.
"Come on, let's see if we can test out your abilities again." Donnie helped her up as he lead her to the lab with Kara right behind them.
"Hmm, this feels familiar." Kara smiled, sitting in a chair as she watched them work.
April yawned loudly while Donnie adjusted the device. "Your power levels are augmented, but definitely not as powerful as they were when you had the crystal."
"Good riddance.." Kara muttered.
"You up for patrol, April? We're searching for any new leads to help find Super Shredder's secret lair." Leo asked as he and the others walked in.
"I'm good to go." April hopped off the table and placed the head piece on Donnie.
"Alright. Raph, you're with Casey. Dragan with me. Mikey with April. And Donnie with Kara. Let's go."
Kara stood to her feet and stretched before she moved the head piece off Donnie. "Think we'll find any leads?"
"Who knows, hopefully though. The sooner we deal with Super Shredder the sooner we can finally get some peace."
"I hear that." Kara smiled as they both ran to catch up with the others.
-With Dragan and Leo-
"We should swing by the Mighty Mutanimals and check in with Karai." Leo said as he drove the Party Wagon.
"I don't understand why she just doesn't stay wi you guys in the sewers. It seems she never really got tae spend time or bond wi Master Splinter." Dragan was staring out the window, leaning her head against her arm in thought.
"She's not a kid anymore. She wants her independence. I get that."
Dragan glanced at him curiously. "Do ye want your independence as well, Leo?" She asked softly.
A beeping sound interrupted their conversation.
"Picking up something up ahead and moving fast. Oh no, missile!" Leo yelled as something zipped right over them.
"Woah!"
"What was that?!" Leo and Dragan shouted, poking their heads out the windows.
"Raph, Casey, unknown fast-moving object heading your way!"
By the time they were warned it had already zoomed past them.
"Woah! Ah! Donnie, Kara, April and Mikey, lock on my T-Phone signal and get over here now!"
"On the way!" Kara said over the phone as Donnie turned around.
"Same!" April followed suit from where they were.
-With Raph and Casey-
By the time they had followed where the fast moving object had stopped they saw they were in front of the Chinatown museum. Casey and Raph snuck past the guard and blocked the door way, watching the mutant grab two blades.
"Drop the blades, sweetheart." Raph said with crossed arms.
"My name is Alopex, turtle boy."
"Ha ha! Turtle boy!" Casey laughed.
"It's Raphael! Now put 'em down."
"Well, Raphael, allow me to give you a history lesson on the Blades of Vengeance. Centuries ago, they were owned by twin sisters. They used them against an evil warlord who had slain their family. The blades cursed any man who was even scratched by their steel." Alopex stared at them, crossing the two blades over another in front of the two boys.
Casey yawned, bored, before he held out his bat towards Alopex. "Put 'em back or face justice."
"Lame." Raph muttered under a cough and smirked at him as he charged Alopex.
"Goongala!"
Just as Casey was about to hit Alopex he looked down to see not only was she gone, but his bat was as well. "What the heck?"
"Looking for this?" Alopex smirked while holding his bat. She then zoomed past Casey removing every piece of his armor til only his gloves remained. "What is all of this junk?" She asked looking down at all of his gear.
"Grr! That's it!" Casey electrocuted her, surprising her.
"Ah!" She let out a scream and stumbled backwards. "Filthy normal!" She yelled and began to attack him using her speed to not even give him a chance to know where the hits were coming from. She jumped into the air and brought out the twin blades and sliced at him.
Casey was thrown into the wall and soon Raph joined in the fight but he was no match for her speed; Alopex spinning him around and tossing him into a display. Before he could even react she was right on top of him, twin blade raised but she suddenly froze with a soft gasp.
"He's here!" She shouted and fled the scene.
"Oh, man. That smarts.." Casey hissed as he gently touched the scar that was now on his cheek.
-Kara and Donnie-
"Fast moving object, huh? Wonder if it's another mutant." Kara commented as they were entering an alley near the Chinatown Museum.
"It could be possible. Wait.." He blinked when he saw something up ahead. "Hang on." He pressed a button, separating the go-carts, and both of them pressed down on the brakes before they could cause any damage as they hit the walls on opposite sides. Donnie was tensed up but once the threat was gone he groaned and relaxed his shoulder.
"Meet us in the alley behind the Chinatown Museum." Raph said over the T-Phones to everyone.
"We're close by." Kara said before she drove up to Donnie. "You ok?"
"Yeah, I'll be fine. Let's get going." Donnie calmed down and drove behind her.
"So anyone hae any idea what that was?" Dragan asked once everyone had arrived.
"It was a mutant fox, dude." Mikey said as he and April had encountered it as well.
"Her name is Alopex." Raph stated.
"A mutant fox? That's new and kinda cool." Kara smiled.
"Casey, what happened?" April looked over at Casey noticing the cut on his cheek.
"I got cut by one of those blades she stole, but it's nothing, yo. Barely a scratch." Casey scratched at the cut but smiled as if it was nothing.
"You've got to be more careful."
"Ha, I didn't know you cared, Red."
Kara rolled her eyes and smiled at the two but stopped when she heard a loud creaking noise. She looked up and saw an A/C unit was loosened and was about to fall on Casey.
Kara went to reach out for him "Casey, loo-"
"Casey!" Raph shouted and tackled him out of the way just as it had landed right where Casey was.
"Whew. Thanks, Raph. That was close."
Kara sighed in relief and looked over at the unit. "A little too close for comfort.."
-Back at the Lair-
"This is gonna take awhile. Alopex literally blew us off the road." Donnie said as he and Dragan were working on the go-carts.
"Jeez, you guys almost tore up the insides.." Dragan had her hair up in a ponytail as she bent down to grab a tool. "Not that I blame ya two, the wye she moved was nothin' like I've ever seen."
"That Alopex is really something, Chompy. But she's no Mona Lisa." Raph picked Chompy up and grabbed a slice of pizza.
"So check it out: the twin blades Alopex stole really are said to be cursed. But it doesn't say what the curse is." Kara was reading the article Leo found over his shoulder but seemed somewhat doubtful of it.
"That's because they are only known to ninja." Master Splinter entered the room while reading a scroll. "These are the Cursed Blades of Vengeance. A person wounded by them, even the smallest cut, will be cursed to fatal misfortune."
"Death curse? For real? That's redonkulous." Casey dismissed their superstition as he took a bite of his pizza.
"I'm not really superstitious but..something doesn't feel right.." Kara leaned against the wall wondering back to the A/C unit.
"I don't think so. Casey, this may sound weird, but your aura? It's just all kinds of wrong."
"Alright, start it up, Mikey." Dragan stood up, wiping her hands. When Mikey started up the go-cart, a cog piece flew out and bounced everywhere til it was flying towards Casey. He accidentally dropped his pizza slice and bent down to pick it up just before the cog piece had stabbed itself into the wall where Casey's head was.
"Ah!" Casey yelled in surprise staring at the cog piece.
"What the?! I didn't even work on that!"
"Woah! It's the curse, dude!" Mikey yelled running to Casey.
"I don't-I don't believe in curses. Sure, Ancient Chinese Spirits, Dream Beavers, inter-dimensional aliens but curses? Puh-lease." Casey backed into a table and leaned against it with his hand on the surface. One of Donnie's experiments on the table suddenly spontaneously combusted, setting the poster close to it on fire. Casey stared at it and screamed as he backed away.
Donnie ran over to his experiment to douse it out while Casey patted away at the small flame on his sleeve.
"Now do you believe?" April asked him, annoyed.
"Ok, I believe! I believe! I don't want to be cursed. Being cursed sucks worse than being poisoned by Karai!" Casey suddenly blinked as he remembered how he was poisoned and smiled, closing his eyes. "Actually the getting poisoned part was pretty sweet." He said dreamily til April flicked his wound to snap him out of it.
"Well, guess we can't say there isn't a curse after all..so what do we do?" Kara looked over at Master Splinter.
"According to lore, the only way to reverse the curse is to use the blades on the one who inflicted the curse, passing it back to them."
"Then let's go fox hunting."
"Tally-ho." Kara chuckled.
All of them were inside the Shellraiser, thinking it best to be together instead of separating.
"Alopex should be just up ahead."
"Finding her isn't the problem. It's getting her to sto-ah!" Something T-boned the Shellraiser and cause it to roll around, everyone yelling in surprise til the Shellraiser was back on it's wheels.
The driver ran out and knocked on the door in a panic. "Hey! Hey! Are you alright in there?"
The door opened to Mikey leaning against the doorframe with a smirk on his face. "It's all good, brah. We're cool." He closed the door and they all left leaving the driver staring in disbelief. He looked down at his energy drink and tossed it over his shoulder.
"You're gonna get us all killed! You should of stayed home, Casey! Or should I call you "Cursey"?" Raph yelled at Casey.
"Dude, I got to be the one to use the blades and cut Alopex to pass the curse. So back off me, brah!" Casey yelled back.
"Ok, guys, calm down. Gettin' worked up over this won't resolve the problem."
"My question still stands; How can we capture her if she moves faster than a speeding bullet?" Kara asked, looking at them all.
"If we can get her to stop or slow down for even just a second I can grab her with my telekinesis." April answered.
"Ok, that works." Kara nodded just as Leo had stopped.
"Ok, this is where we'll be able to capture her. Everyone be on guard." Leo blocked the alley with the Shellraiser and everyone climbed out.
It was just as they had predicted. Alopex had skidded to a halt right in front of them.
"Alopex. Give us the blades. Now." Leo warned.
Alopex smirked, bringing out the blades.
"We don't want to hurt you." Leo said.
"Believe me, you won't." Alopex charged right at Leo slicing the blades at him but he blocked with his sword. Alopex twisted the blade and managed to throw Leo's sword out of his hand.
Raph threw some ninja stars at her to distract her but she countered them all, the stars flying everywhere and landing inches from Casey's face, causing him to let out a startled yell.
The boys began their attack but she was too quick for them all and managed to knock them away, all of them stumbling towards Casey, their sharp weapons getting close to injuring Casey.
Kara and Dragan stood before Alopex ready to fight her.
"What is with everyone we meet fighting us after we tell them, "We don't want to hurt you." We just want to talk!" Kara yelled as Alopex ran at both of them.
Dragan held up her shield but let out a gasp when she was kicked from behind. She turned around and sliced her sword down but she was gone again but this might felt a hit from her side. "Speedy lil' ninja.."
Alopex had jumped over Dragan to strike her down with the blades but Kara pushed her out of the way and blocked the attack with her own blades. Kara grunted, having her eyes closed as Alopex stared at her in surprise but immediately ran off the attack in a different direction.
Each time Alopex went to strike Kara had managed to block the attack but she was having trouble reading where she was going due to her speed. Sweat trickled down her face hearing the clash of metal between them and feeling the wind through Alopex's charge. Never having dealt with a fast opponent like this, Kara grew nervous and her blocks were starting to slow down when she felt a kick in her stomach that sent her flying towards Casey but Dragan had caught her in time.
Kara panted softly, opening her eyes to look at Alopex who was staring right back at her.
Just when Alopex was about to move, April had caught her, levitating her up in the air. "What is going on?" Alopex asked in disbelief.
"That's what we want to know. Talk." April narrowed her eyes at her.
"I'm on a mission to destroy the one mutant who ruined my life. Tigerclaw: my brother."
Everyone gasped as they stared at her.
"Oh snap!"
"Brother?"
"It's his fault we were mutated. And then he turned us to a life of crime. He made me do terrible things to people.."
Kara looked up at Alopex in surprise. "Brother?..So she's..then..." Kara stood up and looked around before running off, forgetting that Dragan was watching her and decided to follow her as well.
-Kara-
Using her senses, Kara found Tigerclaw on top a rooftop sitting on his knees with his sword in hand, sharpening it. Kara stood in front of him, staring down at him. Dragan kept her distance but stayed close to where she could hear. Kara could obviously see Bebop and Rocksteady but paid no mind to them as they eavesdropped on their conversation.
He glanced up and blinked in surprise to see her instead of Alopex. "Kara...what brings you here?"
"I encountered Alopex. She is set on killing you."
"I am aware of that." Tigerclaw stood to his feet, his sword at his side. "Why do you tell me this?" He asked curiously.
"What she told me..is it true you forced her into a life of crime?" Kara asked softly.
Tigerclaw stared at her a moment before closing his eyes. "We were mutated and experimented on by the Kraang. We escaped after months of hardship but now that we were monsters, we could no longer return home. The skills we acquired during our time in Dimension X shaped us and we became top-level assassins in the criminal underworld where our skills were respected and feared. I thought this be the best life for us as we were but she turned on me instead. After everything I had done to prepare her, to protect her, she tried to kill me!"
Kara stared at him in sadness but remembered her time with him when she was brain washed. "Show her there is good in you. Show her the brother that once loved and cared for her."
Tigerclaw's ear flinched as he stared at her. "You..are wrong."
"No, I'm not! During those times I was being controlled you took care of me. You showed me there was good in you. If you say I'm wrong then why..why did you look after me?"
"Because..you reminded me of her."
Kara and practically everyone else listening in blinked in surprise.
"Your skills were impressive. If pushed in the right direction you could of been a great assassin; even on Shredder's level. Let me make this clear, Kara: It was your skills that I was after; not you."
Kara's eyes widened as she stared at him in shock. "So..I was just a tool..heh..of course." She squeezed her eyes shut and let out a low sigh, calming herself down. "Fine, then the next time we meet I will not save you nor consider you anything but an enemy." Kara glared at him and turned around, leaving.
She landed right next to Dragan with her head down. Dragan stared at her for a moment before hugging her tight. "Ye tried, Kara. That's aw that matters.."
Both of them looked up hearing Alopex scream the looked at each other and ran where the scream came from.
"Sister, all I ever tried to do was protect you from a world that would never accept us. You leave me no choice except to destroy you."
Kara and Dragan ran at Tigerclaw to stop him but stopped when a throwing star hit his hand, forcing him to drop the blade. "Ah! What?!"
"Back off, Tony." Dragan and Kara looked up to see Raph and the others and smiled.
"Once again, we beat you to the scene." Kara chuckled as she and Dragan ran over to Alopex while Casey and April took down the bot that was trapping her.
"Hey, you ok?" Kara asked as she helped her up.
"Yes, thank you." Alopex smiled at her as Leo ran over to them. "Alopex, we helped save you. Now we need your help to save one of us." Leo glanced behind him as Casey popped up and waved at her.
Alopex nodded and shoved the Blade to Casey, making him smile. "Dope!"
Dragan let out a startled gasp as she held up her shield, Rocksteady firing his weapon at them all. "Dah-haha! Now you will all be destructions!"
"I'll handle the laser!" Alopex said as she ran at Rocksteady, throwing a dagger at his horn and then tackling him down. For some reason, Kara thought this really funny, making her laugh.
"Kara.." Dragan glanced at her sternly knowing they were in battle and should be focused.
"I know. I know." Kara saw Casey get tripped over and the Blade sliding out of his hand. "Duty calls." She saluted Dragan as she ran towards Rocksteady, Kara going after Bebop.
"You can't touch what you can't see. Eeh-hee!" Bebop smirked but blinked when he felt someone tapping his shoulder. He turned around to see Kara waving at him. "Peek-a-boo." She punched him across the face, grinning. "I see you."
Bebop stumbled backwards and turned himself invisible again but Kara ran after him, closing her eyes. "Can't teach a new pig old tricks, can ya?"
"Woah!" Casey looked over seeing April destroy the first blade and turned to the second one where it lay in the middle of his friends battling the enemy. Leo and Dragan were teamed up against Rocksteady while Kara, Mikey, and Raph were tossing Bebop around like nothing.
Casey gulped nervously before standing on his feet and ran into the fight as fast as he could with a yell.
First, Raph jumped in front of him, taking a laser to his shell to protect Casey. April was firing at Tigerclaw but when she saw a group of ninja stars heading his way she used her powers to stop them before they could touch him. Dragan slid to his side, holding up her shield as Rocksteady fired his heavy gun. Mikey grabbed Casey mid-air and spun him around as Tigerclaw flew over them and fired his weapon, missing Casey by mere inches. Lastly, Kara ran behind him and grabbed the back of his shirt and belt, throwing him towards the blade to give him momentum.
He slid against the concrete, grabbing the blade, and jumped to his feet while raising it in the air. "I got it!" He shouted in victory. April turned to him and fired at the blade, freezing it just as Casey slammed it to the ground yelling, "Goongala!", breaking it and releasing himself from the curse once and for all. "Yes! I did it!"
"Your aura's looking good, Jones." April walked over to him, smiling.
"Check me out, yo. Casey Jones is cursed no more. What? What?" Casey smiled excitedly.
"Too bad you missed all the fun." Kara crossed her arms looking over at Bebop and Rocksteady groaning out in a pile. She turned her head seeing Tigerclaw and Alopex were still fighting and walked over to the guys and Dragan to watch.
Alopex pinned Tigerclaw against the merry-go, both of them having a stare-off. Alopex's gaze softened and she closed her eyes. "You're the only family I have left. Walk away from your wicked path, or next time, there is no mercy." She stepped off Tigerclaw, removing her weapons from around his neck and walked away. "You've been warned."
Kara clenched her fists hoping maybe this would be a wake up call to him. Her eyes widened a bit to see him reaching for his weapon. "Alopex! Look ou-"
When he fired she was gone in an instance and before anyone could react, Alopex sliced Tigerclaw's arm clean off.
Kara gasped, covering her mouth in surprise as he screamed in pain, holding onto his now bleeding stub of an arm.
"Oh ma gosh.."
"Holy Chalupa!"
"Never forget, I could have taken your life." Alopex stared down at him before leaving the scene.
Bebop and Rocksteady ran to Tigerclaw and helped him up, retreating. "Hurry, T.C. We'll get you all fixed up. Oh, man, that's nasty, yo!"
"Dudes, they're getting away!" Mikey pointed at them.
"Let 'em go. Tigerclaw will never forget this lesson." Donnie said and glanced over at Kara who had her head turned with a look of disgust on her face.
"Yeah, and he'll never be able to clap again." Raph added in.
"Come on, team. Let's go home." Leo sheathed his swords and turned to leave.
"I know this might be a weird time tae say this but..is anyone else hungry?" Dragan giggled hearing them all groan. "Guess it's just me."
-Later that evening-
"I can't believe Saki is in the states. I figured he'd be so busy with his company back in Japan." Kevin said to Rachel and Sara as they drove to his Summer Home near the mountains.
"I don't remember much of him, who is he?" Sara asked her dad curiously.
"He was Yoshi's brother. We visited them when you were young so I'm not surprised you don't remember him." Rachel said, glancing back at Sara.
"We lost contact with him after the fire that happened at their Dojo and Yoshi moved to America. It wasn't til a couple years later that we heard he was still alive. Probably around the time Yoshi disappeared. Ah, here we are." Kevin smiled, seeing the Summer Home up ahead.
Sara looked out the window and frowned having a sudden bad feeling. She narrowed her eyes seeing shadows zooming through the trees and what she assumed were turrets in the ground but she said nothing.
When they arrived in front of the house they were greeted by Xever and Rahzaar, both of them bowing their heads to them as they got out of the car.
"Greetings, Sharper family. We will escort you to our boss." Xever said, holding his arms out for them to follow he and Rahzaar.
"Oh, well, thank you." Rachel said with a smile as she and Kevin walked towards them. Sara stared at the two, recognizing them from the invasion with the dinosaur aliens, and followed behind her parents.
Xever lead them to a large, empty room.
"He will be with you momentarily." Xever said before he bowed and closed the door behind him.
"Hm..seems a little gloomy in here.." Rachel commented but blinked when a screen on the wall turned on showing a picture of Kara walking down the street.
"Tell me, old friends, is this your daughter?" Shredder's voice echoed in the room causing Kevin and Rachel to grow nervous and Sara to be on guard.
"Why, yes, she is. Why do you ask?" Kevin asked slowly another picture showed of her fighting with the turtles.
"I have witnessed her putting herself in danger and fighting alongside mutants." Shredder said trying to sound worried.
"Oh, the turtle brothers? Yes, we've met them before. They're really nice boys." Rachel said with a smile. "They really take care of Kara."
"...You've met them?"
"Yes, and there's great news! Yoshi is back! He's..a little different but still the same man we knew before. We can go visit them back in New York." Kevin took a step forward and looked around for his friend, Saki.
Suddenly, the atmosphere in the room grew cold and heavy.
"So, you are still friends with that rat. And you know of him and the Turtles?" Shredder's spat out the word rat in disgust. "I see, so you have sided with them? Then you leave me no choice.."
Sara blinked, seeing movement in the corner.
"I-Is something wrong? Why don't you come out and we can talk about this?" Kevin asked worriedly starting to grow nervous.
Rachel and Kevin flinched when large, booming steps could be heard. Kevin put his arm in front of his wife and daughter as they gasped when Saki came out in the open, the moonlight revealing his mutant form.
"Saki..w-what happened to you?" Kevin stared up at him wide-eyed.
"What needed to be done to rid of that wretched rat and his sons."
Sara glared at him remembering how he tried to kill Splinter when they were trying to save the world.
"Saki..come with us. We can help you fix this. Yoshi can help you." Kevin stammered out as he took a step back, gently pushing his family towards the door. They gasped when they heard it open to see the two from outside blocking the doorway.
"I'm not the one who is in need of help. If you are with Splinter; then you are of no use to me." Shredder stalked towards them, his blades shooting out from his knuckles.
Sara bent down, becoming her mutant form and flew at him with an angered yell.
