Oh my gosh, guys, I'm so sorry! I was having technical issues and I couldn't get it resolved til yesterday! Gah! I felt so bad but now my computer is working great and the latest chapter is startiiiiiiing...NOW!
"Yes. Yes! The Master has arisen! Long live the Shredder!" Tigerclaw shouted as the corpse of Oroku Saki emerged from his coffin.
Shredder's shadowed figured slouched as he stared down at his hand before lifting his head up towards the ceiling. "I am..cold. Is this truly the Earth? Or another illusion? I have been gone for eons."
"No. Many months, but not eons, Shredder. You need to recover." Tigerclaw informed him before turning to Kavaxas. "Kavaxas, will he heal?"
"In time." Was all Kavaxas said.
"What?! Restore him now! I do not want an excuse to keep you here."
The sound of crackling bones met their ears and they all turned around to see Shredder's corpse walking towards them. Worms dropped to the ground where skin use to be, his arms dangling lifeless at his side, swinging with each step he took. His glowing eyes fixated on Tigerclaw and Tigerclaw alone. "Kavaxas stays with us, Tigerclaw. Soon this pitiful world will be ours."
Sara stared down sneering at them all, her eyes glowing with hatred at the zombie corpse of her old family friend. She immediately turned around, already in her mutant form, and fled to tell the others.
Kavaxas glanced up to where she was and smirked, barring his fangs.
At the lair, everyone was getting ready for the fight with Kavaxas, though it seemed as though not everyone was taking it seriously.
Kara glanced up after slipping her shoes on hearing Mikey laughing at the TV.
"Ahahaha! You're missing another classic "Space Heroes: The Next Generation," guys!" Mikey shouted before going back to mindlessly polishing his grappling hook, his attention on the TV.
"We gotta get ready for the recon mission. Like you should be doing." Raph said, irritated, as he walked past him.
"Ugh, I gotta collect more data on Hot Head." Donnie mumbled to himself walking the opposite direction as Raph. "Now that Tigerclaw has all of the pieces that can resurrect Shredder, we don't have much time."
"Relax, guys, you may not know it but I have a-" Mikey began before he was interrupted by Casey, who was wrapping tape around his puck. "You do realize Leo is gonna be stupid mad when he finds out you watched "Space Heroes" without him."
"Right now, I don't think he cares." Kara said softly while going back to her shoes, tying them up tight.
"Um, where is Leo anyway?" Mikey asked curiously, looking around.
"Where else? He's in the Dojo, meditating. I feel so bad for him. The weight of the world is always on his shoulders." April said while sheathing her Tanto, worry in her eyes.
Kara sighed softly and sat up straight while slipping on her gloves. "He needs to realize it doesn't have to always be like that.." Kara glanced towards the Dojo where Dragan had just walked through when Donnie walked past her peripheral vision. She watched him pace around and closed her eyes with a smile on her face; recalling last night.
Kara was sitting on the couch with her blanket wrapped tightly around herself, eyes red and puffy from crying. She let out a quiet sniff when she heard the faintest thump on the balcony. She glanced towards the door to see the silhouette of one of the turtles. Recognizing their height she immediately dropped to the couch, pretending to be asleep.
Donnie slid the door open quietly, making her curse herself for not locking the door, and he made his way towards her. Since she didn't have enough time to turn around she was facing the room.
He walked over to her and bent down so they were face to face. The lights from outside shined on them and he gasped softly seeing how puffed her cheeks were and the tip of her nose was a soft pink. He reached his hand out and gently stroked her cheek.
With she felt his skin over hers she wasn't able to fake it any longer. With a small stir she opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was his eyes filled with pain and regret. "Kara.." He whispered softly as they stared at one another.
She slowly closed her eyes as she sat up, hugging the blanket close to her. "What do you want, Donnie.."
"Kara..I know I can't take back what I said but..I am so sorry. I didn't know what came over me. Just thinking about Don Visioso and what he tried to do to me..it makes me so mad." He raised his voice some, clenching his fists tight when she let out a "shh" sound and pointed to her room where her parents were sleeping. He immediately quieted down before lowering his head. "I shouldn't have taken it out on you. I know you were only trying to help."
"Did you really think we would let him hurt you? You'd think "I" would let him touch you? I love you, Donnie. I won't let anyone or anything hurt you." She turned away thinking back to his words. "You were right though. The first time I left with Karai it was for revenge..and look how that turned out." She leaned back against the couch and let out a sigh. "So..did you fulfill what you wanted?" She asked softly, glancing his way.
Donnie lowered his head and closed his eyes, letting out a sigh as well. "No.I-I couldn't do it. I saw what I was becoming and..that wasn't me." The minute he said those words he felt her hands grasp his face and pull him forward. Just as soon as he opened his eyes their lips connected in a loving embrace. He stared at her in shock as she parted lips and leaned her forehead against his.
"Donnie, I have been in that darkness before and it was you who pulled me out of it. It was you who calmed the rage inside of me. If that were to happen to you I don't know if I could save you; like you have me."
Donnie sat up on his knees and pulled her close to him. "I'm sorry, Kara. Please forgive me." He whispered softly, gently stroking the back of her head.
"Of course I do. I always will." She moved back and held out her arms, opening the blanket for him. He smiled softly and climbed inside the blanket and held her close as she wrapped it around both of them. They held each other, falling asleep in each other's arms.
Kara looked down as the memory of both of them waking to her father standing in front of them, glaring daggers at Donnie and him yelling in fright as he chased him outside her home, his fatherly instincts activating while her mother giggled in the background and Kara shouting for him to call her later. She laughed softly at the memory and when she looked up again she saw him glancing at her. She beckoned him towards her with her index finger and grabbed his shell, pulling him down to her level and touched foreheads with him, calming him down.
Dragan closed the Dojo door behind her watching Leo kneeling in front of Master Splinter's photo. She jumped a little when he slammed his fist on to the ground.
"I can't do this anymore. It's too much." He said weakly, in defeat. He suddenly looked up hearing Master Splinter and saw him before him once more.
"I felt the same way many times in my life, my son. But we always endure."
"Father, why can't you appear more often? Why do you have to leave?"
Dragan went to take a step forward to comfort Leo but blinked in surprise as he not only began to talk to himself, but mentioned Master Splinter. Remembering the time after his funeral she closed her eyes and let out a soft sigh. Taking in a deep breath she concentrated hard, letting her other senses take over. Keeping calm, she listened for the faintest of sounds.
"I have come to tell you, Leonardo, that you must be spiritually prepared for what is to come."
Dragan gasped softly, hearing Master Splinter.
Hearing her, Master Splinter lifted his head in her direction and smiled seeing she was able to connect to him before looking back down at Leonardo as he spoke.
"We're getting ready, Sensei. But it's not the Foot I'm worried about. It's that dragon man. He's even more powerful than the Super Shredder."
"Yes. And if he roams free, the earth will forever be cast in shadow. My son, remember what I told you before: In darkness, look towards the light."
"What does that even mean?" Leo sighed softly, lowering his head. "How can we stop him, Father?" When he looked back up he was no longer there. He glanced back feeling a hand on his shoulder and saw Dragan bending down right next to him.
"We stop him together." She said to him while pulling him into an embrace.
Outside the Dojo, Sara had just arrived and looked to be exhausted. Everyone had gathered around her to see if she was ok when Leo and Dragan came out of the Dojo.
"Team, it's time to go." Leo sheathed his swords and blinked to see Sara there. Before he could ask, she began to speak.
"Guys..we've got a problem.."
The guys, Kara, Sara, and Dragan ran through the sewers to the secret entrance that lead to the underground lair where Kavaxas and the others reside.
"Already?!" Kara whispered a little too loudly.
"Thay didn't waste any time, did thay.."
"I just need to get one more reading from Kavaxas to calibrate my newest invention." Donnie whispered as the door began to open. The guys switched to ninja mode, Raph being the first to run in, the others behind him.
Mikey took a step ahead of Raph to look around. "So far, so good, guys. No creepy robed Foot dudes anywhere." He turned back to his friends with his hands on his hip and a smile on his face. The minute he said those words, though, glowing eyes appeared from the darkness and low chittering and hissing soon followed.
"We've been through this way too many times for you to say anything.." Kara sighed softly, placing her hand to her forehead.
Mikey slowly turned his head and let out a yell, his hand immediately reaching for something at his side as he backed up towards his brothers.
One went to pounce on Leo but he slashed it away, it hitting the ground hard. It immediately stood and removed it's hood letting out another hiss, making all of them gasp.
"They look like Shredder freaks." Leo said in surprise.
"Then there's no holding back." Kara clenched her fist as she and Dragan got into their fighting stance. Sara began to change as she glared at the gremlins but noticed they were surrounded.
"There's too many!" April shouted.
Mikey glanced around nervously and lifted the item he was holding on to tightly.
"When I say go you all make a break for it." Sara began, smoke flaring from her body. Just when one of them went to make a move Sara bent down to attack but was startled when the fish mutant kicked it away, carrying a lantern.
"Back, you wretched, stinking Shredder beasts!" He shouted while shining the lantern in their direction; all of the gremlins fleeing from the light.
"They have a weakness after all. Fire." Leo explained, watching them all flee.
"No. Bright light of any kind." Fishface stated.
"What's the deal, Fishface?" Kara said angrily, crossing her arms.
"Alright, trout-mouth, why did you help us? You got three seconds to explain yourself." Raph questioned while walking up to him.
"I'll give him two before I open up a can of sardines!" Casey said, bumping heads with Fishface.
"Take it easy. He means well, for once." April had her hand to her forehead, staring at him. "I don't think it's a trick."
"Give it a minute." Kara glared towards him.
"Alright, Fishface, talk." Leo crossed his arms, staring at him.
"You want to know the truth of the Shredder mutants, yes? Well, prepare yourselves for a wild tale. Remember when Shredder fought Splinter? Some of Shredder's experimental mutagen blood spilled in the sewers. Well, not long after, a man roaming the sewers found the green glowing ooze. For some reason, and I do not care to know why, he touched it and transformed into the first of these horrible monsters. He captured more people from the streets, transforming a small army. All possessing random thoughts, memories of Shredder."
Kara gasped softly as he was telling the tale. Dragan's eyes widened and she turned to Kara remembering she had some of Shredder's blood on her.
"These clones built an underground shrine to Shredder, and that is when Tigerclaw, hunting for you turtles, found them. He used their power and their dedication to build a new Foot army.
"Man, that is the craziest story I've ever heard. Even weirder than your stories, Mikey." Raph said, looking over at his little brother.
"I really did meet Megan Fox on that rooftop, yo!"
"Wait, this doesn't make sense. When we fought Shredder some of his blood had spilt on me. Why wasn't I affected?" Kara asked, stepping forward.
Fishface glanced towards her curiously. "Your hatred for Shredder. You're hatred for him was pure and so strong it was enough to counteract the effect of the mutagen blood."
Kara crossed her arms and looked away from him. "I do hate the guy."
"Anyways, thanks Xever, for helping us." Leo turned to Fishface, who smiled at him.
"So, are you going to help us take Kavaxas down?" April asked.
"Heck no! Haha!" Fishface cleared his throat to calm himself down. "This is getting to be too much, even for a talking fish. Shredder is back, and he is all gross and undead and disgusting. Ugh." Fishface shook his head as the others stared at one another.
"So, it's true. They already brought Shredder back." Leo glanced to Sara, who only nodded.
"Ah, yes. I want to go back to a nice life of crime, stealing stuff, romancing the ladies, that kind of thing. Later, tartarugas." Fishface went to walk away but stopped and glanced at Kara. "And Kara, I am..sorry. What I did, wasn't something I usually do. I was just following orders." He glanced from Kara to Sara.
All of them stared at Kara, who was looking right at Fishface in shock. "So why, why did you say that stuff to me?!"
"I learned many years ago to never let your enemy know what you're thinking or feeling. It is to show weakness and can be used against you."
"Just..just get out of here..Xever." Kara clenched her fists, looking away from him.
Xever blinked in surprise before looking back and walked away.
"Eh, who needs that robo-guppy anyways. Let's do this!" Casey Jones leaned his hockey stick against his shoulder and turned towards the mouth of the cave that head to where they needed to go.
"Right behind you, Jonsie." Kara stepped forward, punching her fist into her palm.
"Aw the wye." Dragan pulled out her sword and grinned towards the cave.
Sliding down the ropes they ran towards the alter. When they reached the top, Leo looked around but saw no one in sight.
"They're here." April whispered, having her hands to her forehead. "They're close."
A laugh echoed around them and suddenly Kavaxas landed right behind them. "Welcome, my enemies." Soon, Bebop, Tigerclaw, and the others appeared, surrounding them.
"How many millennia have I waited." A low, rumbling voice reached their ears and they all looked up at the slouched figure on a throne. "I will send you to the Netherworld to take my place." All eyes widened as Shredder came forth to the light and they all saw his deformed corpse. "Now, I shall have my revenge!" Shredder reached his arm out to them all.
Kara and Dragan's eyes widened in horror and disgust seeing Shredder in this state.
"Shredder.." Leo glared at him as Mikey went to attack first.
With a yell, Mikey jumped into the air, swinging his nunchuks, but before he could even get close to Shredder he held out his hand in front of him, stopping Mikey mid-air. "Huh?" Mikey looked at Shredder in confusion til he let out a gasp as he stared into Shredder's glowing eyes til he was thrown backwards into Casey Jones.
"Get him!" Leo shouted; everyone charging at Shredder at once.
April was the first to attack then Leo and Raph but Shredder smacked them away like nothing. Donnie jumped in the air with his staff raised but Shredder stopped him mid-air and threw him aside like Mikey.
Sara flew right into Shredder using her smoke to distract him while Dragan charged forward and sliced him across the stomach. Dragan stared surprise when he didn't seem effected by it at all. Shredder went to raise his hand but Kara jumped on to Dragan's shoulders, pushed off her, spinning over Shredder, and used her blades to cut into the back of his head. "Finish it, Dre!" Kara shouted, rolling onto the ground to her feet.
With a yell, Dragan spun around and sliced her sword not only through his arm but into his neck, cutting through it completely. She jumped back and watched as his arm and head dropped to the ground, the head rolling right to Donnie.
He stared down at it til it's eyes flashed and it let out a yell, Donnie screaming in panic at this and jumped backwards, away from it. Shredder's hand jumped up on to it's fingers and began crawling towards Shredder to return to it's owner.
"Oh ma god! Oh ma god! Eww!" Dragan yelled as she and Leo went to attack it but it evaded their attacks scurrying around everyone as they all went to stop it but it was no use. It crawled up Shredder and he took it, attaching it back where it belonged.
"Dudes, that's just gross. Ugh!" Kara yelled, sticking her tongue out in disgust.
Once it was reattached, it grabbed Leo's head and began throwing him around. All the while, Mikey had managed to sneak behind Tigerclaw and snatched the Seal from his paw.
"What?! No!" Tigerclaw shouted turning around to see Mikey jumping away from him with the Seal in hand.
"Yes! Thanks Kitty-Claw!" Mikey grinned but when Kavaxas spewed his fire at him. "Ahhh!" Mikey immediately held up the Seal and was surrounded by green flames.
"MIKEY!" Everyone shouted in panic.
Sara yelled as she flew towards Kavaxas tackling him and stopping his attack. Kavaxas growled and grabbed her by the head before slamming her into the wall before she had time to get away. Sara squeezed her eyes in pain but reached her hand out, smoke flying into Kavaxas' eyes. He let out a startled yell and threw her across the room, holding his eyes in pain.
Sara made contact with the wall and began to fall. She concentrated hard and stopped herself inches from the ground before dropping with a soft thud. She was beginning to feel even more exhausted from over exerting her powers.
Kara ran over to her to make sure she was ok and looked over to see Kavaxas fighting off Zombie Shredder. "What the..?"
Dragan ran over to them and bent down on the other side of Sara. "It's the Seal. Whoever holds it controls Kavaxas, remember? Well, guess who has it." She smiled and turned to Mikey who was moving the Seal around like a video game controller.
"It's just like a video game! Aw, yeah! Level up!" Mikey shouted as Kavaxas attacked Shredder's minions with his fire breath.
"We need to get you out of here, Sara. You're not use to fighting." Kara said with worry as she began to help her sister to her feet.
"Not yet. I can still fight a little longer. Just til Donnie has what he needs." Sara panted while moving to stand on her own.
"Nice try, Turtle." Bebop appeared behind Mikey and snatched the Seal from his hands before spinning around and back handing him to the ground. "Heads up, T.C." Bebop casually tossed the Seal back to Tigerclaw, who caught it with ease just as Kavaxas landed beside him.
"Grr! You obey only me, your master!"
The turtles and the others gathered around Kara and Sara as the enemy began to surround them.
Donnie looked down at his device hearing it going off and turned to the others. "I got the readings I need!"
"Sara, we need an exit. Do your thing!" Leo glanced at her with a grin.
"Aw, yeah! Booyakabungaa!" Mikey jumped in front of Sara doing the rock-on sign with both of his hands as Sara's eyes began to glow. She lifted her arms and soon all of them were engulfed in smoke, disappearing before Shredder's minions had time to react.
"I hate when they do that." Rocksteady growled.
Once they were back at the lair and safe from harm Sara immediately began to fall but everyone caught her before she could hit the ground. Sara blinked in surprise at them all but gave them a weak smile. "Guys.."
"You helped us, dudette, now let us help you." Mikey smiled at her as he and Raph helped her to the couch while Kara went to get her some water.
"You should rest now, Sara." April smiled at her, placing a pillow underneath her head.
"But what about.."
"We can handle the rest." Dragan grinned at her, giving her a thumbs up.
Sara looked at them all and smiled before closing her eyes, feeling at peace.
Donnie went into his lab to begin working on his newest invention while everyone was charging their batteries for the upcoming battle.
Once Donnie had completed his invention he called everyone into his lab.
"Finished. Based on this new data, my spectral blasters will be good to go. These babies are specially designed to take down supernatural entities." Donnie smiled as he held up the contraption.
"Who knew we'd be part time supernatural hunters." Kara crossed her arms, looking at Dragan with a grin.
"Eh, who're ya gonna call?" Dragan shrugged with a smile.
Mikey stared down at the devices in awe but soon began to grow nervous as he glanced down at his side. Kara blinked noticing his change in mood and went to question him til Casey got his hands on the blasters.
"Oh, this is the coolest thing! Woah!" Casey pushed a button and laser shot out, flying everywhere, hitting the walls. Casey immediately let go and set it down. "Heh, I'll just put this down right here."
Donnie growled and rolled his eyes. "I've got five spectral blasters so far, but Casey won't be getting one."
What? That's racialist, yo!" Casey shouted, slamming his hands on the table.
"We just don't trust you with anything that shoots anything. Especially lasers." Leo said trying not to hurt his feelings.
"Exhibit A." Dragan pointed at the wall with the laser mark on it, Kara snickering at her.
"Sorry, Casey." Leo shrugged his shoulders with a small smile.
"Weak!" Casey pouted.
"We don't have time for you to make one for Dragan and I so we'll stick with what we have." Kara turned to Donnie and nodded while the others began to put on the devices.
"Alright, let's move out." April said once they were ready but before they could leave they all heard a loud roar.
Kara and the others turned to see Leatherhead running towards them with Karai on his shoulders.
"Leatherhead!" Kara and Mikey shouted, running to him.
"Yes! I called for some back-up, dudes." Mikey looked at the others, smiling while Kara hugged Leatherhead.
"Karai, are ye up for this? Ye were hurt pretty badly.." Dragan and Leo walked over to her, concerned.
"I thought I told you to heal up, we'd take care of this."
"Like I was really going to listen to your advice, Leo? Come on. And I'm fine, I can definitely fight." Karai crossed her arms, smiling at the two of them.
"Well, we got the tools, we got the talent. Let's kick some undead Shredder butt, and take Hot Head down once and for all."
"Now, we're talking, Raph! Let's go!" Kara shouted, throwing her fist in the air.
As they were making their way to the underground lair of Kavaxas all of them stopped when the ground began to shake.
"What the? What's going on?" Kara looked around and blinked when her phone began to ring. Seeing it was her mom, she answered it quickly. "Mom, what's wrong? Everything ok?"
"No! Everything is not ok! What's going on? The ground is cracking and glowing green! Ghosts are coming out of the ground!"
Kara put the phone on speaker so everyone could hear it, though they were hearing her dad trying to calm down her mom.
"Kara, honey, it's dad. Something strange is happening. I know this may sound crazy but spirits are flying everywhere. What should we do?"
"Ok, dad, calm mom down, close the blinds, and stay away from the windows. We'll take care of this, I promise." She hung up and they all ran to the surface to see it was indeed as they had described it.
"You've got to be kidding me." April said staring in shock at all the ghosts.
"Mutants, aliens, demons, and now ghosts. Anything else you want to throw at us?!" Kara shouted at the sky.
"I don't play with dead things, yo."
"Good, or else I'd be concerned about ya, Casey.."
They all blinked hearing a familiar laugh and turned to see Tatsu standing on a lamppost.
"Tatsu!" Karai said in surprise.
Another more annoying laughter caught their ears and they looked up as Ho-Chan surfaced from the ground.
"Oh no, Ho-Chan.." Casey grumbled.
"Oh, boy. You're doomed!" Ho-Chan sung as he shot lightning out from his fingers.
"Mikey, Karai, Leatherhead, Kara, and Dragan, you're with me. We're going after Kavaxas. The rest of you take down these ghosts."
Leo and the others went to leave but Mikey stopped and tossed the device to Casey. "I don't need it, Casey. I got a trick up my sleeve and Leatherhead." Mikey rubbed the top of Leatherhead's head and they both ran to the sewers, shouting, "Booyakasha!" with Kara and Dragan behind them.
Casey put it on and smirked under his mask as the laser began to charge. "Totally metal." He and the others shouted and ran out into the streets, firing their lasers at the ghosts.
When Leo's group got to Kavaxas' lair they saw Rahzaar fighting Tigerclaw and Bebop and Rocksteady fleeing the area. Leo clenched his device and fired it at him, sending him to his knees in pain.
Zombie Shredder attacked Leo, sending him rolling down to the ground and dropping his device but he stood to his feet, bringing his swords out.
"In a dimension of suffering, in an age of pain, I ruled on a throne of bones. I, Kavaxas, swore one day I would rule all dimensions. The time has come!" Kavaxas raised his staff, laughing maniacally as the ground around them cracked and fall apart, leaving nothing but pillars for them to stand on.
"I think we bit off more than we can chew.." Kara said nervously, watching as Tigerclaw kicked Rahzaar into the abyss.
"You're not the only one with a dragon on your side, Hot Head!" Mikey shouted, getting everyone's attention. "And, no, I'm not talking about you, Dragan." Mikey winked towards her making her sigh til he pulled out a a similar Seal to Kavaxas' but it had a crystal in the middle of it. Mikey closed his eyes as he raised it high above his head.
"The world is at stake. A dangerous foe stands before us." The room around them was beginning to grow cold as the crystal started to glow. "I call upon you for aid to save my home. To save my friends. To save our world. Ice Drago!" The crystal shined bright as he slammed the Seal to the ground, it breaking into a million pieces.
Everyone watched and stared as the dust from the crystal began to rise and spin in a fast circle, creating a portal. A scaled, gray hand reached out from the portal, grabbing at it with a clawed hand, and out came a dragon woman with long, black hair that reached the middle of her back, gray skin with icy blue scales that shine in the light around her arms, legs, chest, tail, and face. She stood tall at 5'9 facing Kavaxas, her eyes closed. She let out a low breath, mist coming out from her mouth, barring her fangs. She snapped her eyes open, revealing icy blue colored eyes, and spread out her wings letting out a banshee like scream, causing Leo and the others to cover their ears.
Kavaxas stared in shock at what he witnessed as their eyes met. "A Drago from the Southern Isles..how did you-"
"Kavaxas." The Dragon woman said low with a heavy Russian accent. "You were banished to the Netherworld all those years ago for your crimes. You kept yourself busy by ruling over it instead. And now a foolish mortal has summoned you to wreck havoc upon this world." She pointed a clawed finger at him, glaring darkly right into his eyes. "I will put you back in your place."
Mikey smirked at Kavaxas before looking up at her. "Get him."
The Dragon woman nodded and flew at Kavaxas, their battle commencing.
-With the others-
"They just keep coming." Donnie shouted as they kept firing at the ghosts.
"Oooh! Giant hands!" Ho-Chan shouted as he stretched his arms out, grabbing Casey in his giant hands, squeezing him. "Pecs. Getting..crushed." Casey grunted.
"Why don't you pick on someone your own size, Ho-Chan?"
Everyone stopped, hearing a familiar voice and turned to see none other than-
"Splinter!"
"Sensei?.."
"Father.."
"Hamato Yoshi?! Now this really ticks me off to no end." Ho-Chan shouted.
"I will send you back to the Netherworld from where you can, demon! Hi-yah!" Master Splinter flew at Ho-Chan, beginning his attack.
-With Kara-
Kara watched in shock as the two dragons were fighting each other; one ice, one fire. It seemed as though they were evenly matched. Zombie Shredder turned to her and she widened her eyes as he began to walk towards her. She took a step back to prepare herself but her foot had reached the edge and it crumbled under her weight. She let out a startled scream as she began to fall but she used her blades to stab into the rock, hanging on to the edge.
"Kara!"
"Kara!" Dragan and the others shouted as Leatherhead and Dragan went to help her.
Kavaxas saw her and smirked, evading the Ice Drago's attack and flew towards her, eyes widened in glee. "Now is the season of evil. Humanity's last cry!"
"Protect her, Ice dudette!" Mikey shouted, pointing to Kara.
The woman looked over at Kavaxas, seeing him moving to attack her and she raised her hand, her claws glowing, and slashed her hand down, sending sharp icicles his way. He turned and used his fire breath to melt them away but she flew at him, head on, and kicked him away from Kara. She picked her up, holding Kara protectively to her as she placed her down safely on the ground.
Kara stared up at her in awe, feeling cold yet surprisingly warm when she held her.
"Kara! We could use your help!" Dragan shouted as she and Leo were fighting off Zombie Shredder. Kara looked over to them then back at the dragon lady, blinking to see her smiling down at her. Kara blushed, embarrassed, before leaving to help Leo and Dragan.
-With the Others-
"Your power is waning, wizard." Master Splinter shouted as he dodged Ho-Chan's attacks while he screamed and made goofy noises.
Ho-Chan stretched his arm out the grab Splinter but he moved out of the way and touched a pressure point on his hand that caused Ho-Chan to yell in pain.
April rolled away from Tatsu's attack and hit him with the laser. "Eat hot plasma, Tatsu!" April shouted as she and the others attacked him, Tatsu exploding in glowing goo.
Casey fell backwards onto the ground, staring up in horror as even more ghosts appeared from the ground. "It's endless. I hate. Dead things."
-With Kara-
Kara had jumped on to Shredder's back, stabbing her blades into his shoulder when he grabbed her head and threw her off. Dragan caught her before she could fall and blinked when Tigerclaw began to attack Shredder with his blasters.
Shredder was unfazed by his attacks and sent Tigerclaw into the abyss, unaware he landed on a smaller pillar. Shredder then turned to Leo and went to attack but Karai jumped on his back, stabbing her sword into his shoulder and leaned to the side causing him to lose his balance. Dragan ran at him and rammed him with her shield, Karai jumping off him, as he fell over the edge, meeting the same fate as Rahzaar.
Leatherhead was getting directly hit by Kavaxas' flames when the Ice Drago swooped down and moved between them, taking the heat herself, but the damage had been done as Leatherhead fell.
"No! Leatherhead!" Mikey shouted.
Kavaxas looked up at him and shot plasma balls at him causing him to fall backwards. The Ice Drago breathed in deeply and blasted ice breath at him but he flew up into the air. She growled at him and looked to the one named Leatherhead and bent down, using her ice breath gently on him to heal him.
"Ah-Ha!" She suddenly heard and looked up to see Mikey doing a little dance while blowing a bubble with gum. "Ice dudette. Watch my back!" He shouted with a wide smile and he hopped off the pillar. She nodded and flew towards him seeing Kavaxas flying towards him to attack.
"Yeah, boi!" Mikey shouted as he casually made his way down while the Ice Drago intervened Kavaxas' attacks. She glanced his way and blinked in surprise to see he was going for the broken Seal as he jumped on top of it.
Curious to see what he was doing, she let him slip past her figuring the young one had a plan.
Kavaxas flew at Mikey, staring in confusion as he picked up the Seal pieces. "What are you doing?"
Mikey chewed the gum in small pieces and spat them out on the cracks of the pieces.
"No!" Kavaxas yelled as Mikey held out the Seal in front of him, stopping Kavaxas in his tracks. He stared in shock at the now put together Seal. "Impossible! The Seal cannot be fixed! How-How is it working?!"
"Cause I'm super dope like that, fool! Ok, Hot Head, you're gonna stop the ghost invasion and make everything normal again! Your new boss, Mikey, commands you!" Mikey grinned at him as the Ice Drago landed behind him, smirking.
Kavaxas struggled to resist the commands but he was not strong enough. "I must..obey!" He dropped his staff and raised his hands and the whole room shook, fire bursting from the ground and up to the surface.
All the ghosts from the surface began to be sucked back to where they belonged, though not all were complying.
Ho-Chan struggled as his lower half was being sucked in but Master Splinter was having none of that.
"It is time to go back to your abyss, Ho-Chan!"
"No! Please! Seriously! I don't wanna!"
Master Splinter sent a final kick into his gut and watched as Ho-Chan flew into the hole, screaming all the way down to the Netherworld.
Kara watched with a smile as Mikey controlled Kavaxas and blinked when she heard movement on her side. She glanced over to see Tigerclaw picking himself up and looked away, walking towards Leo and the others.
"I get it now." Leo whispered to himself before looking up at Mikey. "Mikey! Force Kavaxas to open up a portal back to the Netherworld! Hurry!"
"You heard him, Hot Head! Open up a portal, now!"
"As you..command..Master!" Kavaxas flew up in to the air and used his staff to open the portal back up and flew towards it. He used his arms and legs to grab the sides, continuing to struggle against the curse.
Kara and the Ice Drago went to push him in when Zombie Shredder ran towards him and jumped on top of him, leaning his head close to his. "We do not belong here, demon."
The Ice Drago held her arms out like she was holding a bow and pulled one arm back as an arrow made of ice appeared in her hands as she shot it at the two, the arrow stabbing into both of them, and they fell into the portal, Kavaxas screaming all the way.
The portal closed and the city had been restored.
Everyone gathered around Master Splinter, saying their final goodbyes to him, Kara being the last one to hug him, holding him tightly and not wanting to let go but she knew she had to. She took a step back as Leo and Karai came forward, Splinter placing his hands on both of them, Karai giving him one last hug.
He stared down at them then at the others, smiling to them all. "Goodbye, my family. I love you all."
Kara closed her eyes as he was lifted in to the sky and disappeared.
"So long, Master Splinter." Raph said softly as he and his brothers gathered around Leo and Karai.
"We've got the Seal. We're gonna smash it into dust and spread it over the ocean. That power will never be used again." Leo said as everyone else gathered around him.
"Tigerclaw helped us. He left, declaring a truce." Leatherhead said to them.
"Wow, who would have thought?" Raph said in surprise.
"I guess miracles really can happen." Donnie smiled with a shrug but looked over at Kara who had her arms crossed, eyes narrowed. He looked at her with worry knowing she was feeling her doubts.
"Thare's still somethin' else, guys..." Dragan pointed to where the Ice Drago stood off to the side, giving them their space, staring at the sky.
"Mikey, how did you summon her? Where did she come from?" Leo asked curiously.
"Well, why don't you ask her yourself? Hey! Ice dudette!" Mikey shouted, waving to her.
She lifted her head, hearing the young one call her and turn to them. She blinked and smiled before closing her eyes as her appearance began to change. They all stared in shock to no longer see a dragon in front of them but now a normal human being with hazelnut skin, black hair, and aquamarine eyes.
Before anyone could react, she flew at Mikey, lifting him off the ground, and hugged him close. "That was so cool what you did! Oh, I can't believe how well it worked out!" She shouted excitedly with her Russian accent.
"I know! The way you entered was so awesome! With the screech and the pointing at Hot Head! That was so amazing!" Mikey yelled just as excited as she was.
All the guys were staring wide eyed and red faced as the now naked woman was hugging their brother. Kara, Dragan, and April were glaring at their boys til they looked away acting like they didn't see anything.
"Hey!" Kara shouted, grabbing both Mikey's and the woman's attention. "First off, you're naked! Secondly, what's going on!?"
The woman blinked and looked down at herself, realizing she was indeed naked. "Oops, my bad. I forget about that sometimes." She set the now blushing Mikey down and snapped her fingers as clothes appeared on her. "I guess I should introduce myself." She giggled before clearing her throat and taking a step back, bowing her head. "My name is Brilliance. I am the last of a race known as Drago's; a race of half human, half dragon people. We were guardians set to protect Dragon's from forces that wished to kill and steal their scales and other body parts for power."
"How many o' ye are thare?" Dragan asked curiously.
Brilliance looked away, sadness in her eyes. "Only me.."
"Wait a minute, how come you sound so different then from when we first met?" Mikey asked, rubbing his chin and giving her squinty eyes.
She stared down at him and began to laugh. "Oh! I wear a choker that changes my voice. Watch." She pulls out a simple black choker and taps one side of it before placing it around her neck. "Does this sound better now?" She asked, now having a Spanish accent Mikey had grew familiar with.
"That's so cool!" Mikey shouted, stars in his eyes.
"Wait, how did you know about this?" Kara now asked, having her turn for a question.
"I heard a crash in a alley as I was heading home from work. I heard groaning and figured someone must have been mugged so I went to help them. Instead, I saw this little one battered and bruised." She said while rubbing the top of Mikey's head. "I healed him and heard an explosion not that far from where he was. I saw a weirdly shaped phone drop from his belt so I picked it up and texted the first number I saw then I went to see what the commotion was about. When I came to the scene I..didn't expect Kavaxas to have been summoned. As you all saw he was a dangerous foe and I knew he had to be stopped. I added my number to his phone and texted it before leaving the scene. I sent him a message, wanting to help, and we devised a plan together to stop him."
"So what was with that summoning thing?" Leo questioned, stepping forward.
"Oh, pssh, it was all an act. We both came up with it." Brilliance pulled him close, smiling ear to ear. "After everything you guys have done, I consider you all a friend. If you ever need my help don't hesitate to call." She bowed one more time and giggled before she disappeared.
Kara and the others looked at Mikey in surprise.
"What?" He asked innocently.
"You sure know how to make friends, huh?" Kara asked, laughing as she put her arm around his shoulder.
April smiled at them all and looked off into the distance, letting out a soft gasp. "Look at that amazing sunset. I was pretty sure we'd never see one of those again." She walked over to the edge of the roof and sat down, the others following behind her.
Kara put her arms around Donnie, both of them holding each other.
Leo hugged Dragan from behind, laying his head against her shoulder as they all watched the sunset together. No one on earth appreciated this very moment more than them.
