"So what happened to you guys?" Raph asked while eating the food Brilliance offered him, feeling as if it's been forever since he had actual food and not insects or whatever he could scrounge.

Kara and Dragan looked at each other nervously then turned to Brilliance.

"Well, we went to visit Brilliance to get to know her a little better."
"After helpin' us wi Kavaxas an Lord Dregg we figured we should befriend her, ya know, treat her like part o' the team."
"But then we heard the sirens." Kara squeezed her eyes shut trying to remember though it was all a blur.

Brilliance closed her eyes and continued for the two.

Brilliance smiled down at the two enthusiastic girls when her ears perked hearing the wails of the city sirens.

"Wait here." She said standing up from her seat and ran down from her office to the roof when she noticed alien tech floating in the sky flashing bright colors then suddenly it exploded; a cloud of neon green covering the entire city and racing towards her. Her eyes widened and she practically flew back inside, sliding in front of the girls.

"Get behind me!" Brilliance yelled, already transformed. She held her now glowing arms out in front of her, the entire building growing cold as she began to slowly close her hands into fists. Icicles formed around the ceiling as the two girls looked around nervously then at Brilliance. Before they could utter a single word they were overcome with a cold calm, their eyes growing heavy.

"We shall slumber til the threat has died." She then threw her arms upwards; the entire building now engulfed in ice.

"When we were finally set free..what we saw.." Kara glanced over at Dragan with saddened eyes.
Dragan lowered her head, staring into the fire. "It was as if we were in a nightmare."

Within the thick wall of ice Drago Brilliance stood at the center with her arms spread out wide, eyes closed, with the two girls huddled together almost as if they were sleeping. Suddenly, a crack appeared in the ice where Brilliance's face is and her eyes snapped open to reveal them glowing bright and soon their protective wall burst into shards around them leaving icicles of different shapes and sizes around them Brilliance landed gently on her feet and she glanced behind her hearing a thud, the two girls dropping to the floor hard enough to wake them up.

Both of them sat up groggy and confused, wondering where they were. Once they looked up at Brilliance they were immediately reminded of the events that unfolded before them.

"H-How long were we out? What happened? Where is everybody?! Casey? April? Guys?!" Kara shouted, looking around frantically.

"I'm not sure. You two stay here while I take a look outside." Brilliance calmly walked away to investigate the area.

"We need tae stay calm, Kara. Freakin' out right now isn't goin' tae do us any good. We'll find the others. I know we will." Despite the steady calm in her voice, Dragan stared at the door Brilliance walked out of, clenching her hands tight at her side.

Brilliance returned with a look of distraught, setting the alarms off inside the girl's minds and they ran out the door to see their city in complete ruins. Buildings were crumbling, cars torn apart or completely destroyed, piles of ash and disfigured bones lay in the street.

Both girls were at a loss for words. It was as if they had stepped into another dimension for nothing was familiar or even looked the same.

A trickle of sweat slide down Kara's face as her lips trembled, trying to find words. "Ww-we need..need to find the others." Without wasting a second her body began to lead her towards the lair with Dragan and Brilliance close behind.

Kara instinctively grabbed Donnie's hand as they explained seeing his body once they reached the lair. Donnie lowered his head and brought her close. She placed her hand over his arm and gently squeezed it, feeling as though she would never get that image out of her head. Dragan stared at her with worry eyes and decided to continue.

Mira listened silently while eating, feeling sorry for Kara.

"It wasn't til a week had gone by that we knew we wouldn't survive much longer so..we had tae adapt."

Both girls were feeling weak and sick, having to rely on Brilliance to hunt for food for them.

"I can't take this anymore. We won't last longer as we are now." Kara stood to her feet weakly and grabbed a jacket.

"Where are ya goin'?"

"Out. I'll be back."

"Ye can't go alone. Just wait for Brilliance tae get back."

"This can't wait. I won't be long. I'll stay low." She gave Dragan a reassuring smile and ran off from their hideout.

By the time Kara had returned Brilliance was standing at the entrance with her arms crossed, eyes narrowed at her.

Kara was holding her arms around her stomach, noticing her anger. Before Brilliance could open her mouth to scold her she unzipped the jacket to reveal a canister of mutagen.

"Kara..what are ye doin' wi that?" Dragan stood up and walked over to them.

Kara turned her head away, gently hugging the canister.

Dragan walked up to her and removed the hood to see a blushing Kara.

Noticing the confused look Kara gently coughed. "I uh..had this saved at home in a safe place..in case Donnie and I..you know..wanted toooo..start a family." With each word her cheeks glew brighter.

Both Dragan and Brilliance stared at her in surprise, one word shared telepathically, "Adorable."

"You what?!" Donnie shrieked, his antenna shooting up in surprise. If he could blush, his face would be on fire.

"Heh, so that's how it works." Raph smirked staring at Kara who had tiny flowers popping up around her cheeks. Clearing her throat she tried to change the subject. "Anyways!"

Kara squeezed her eyes to keep the tears from falling at the mention of his name and continued. "We're growing weaker every day and soon it won't be long til..you know. Our bodies can't handle this environment. In order to survive we have to adapt."

Both girls stared at each other, realizing how dire the situation is.

"W-What should we do?"

Kara held up the canister in thought. Having seen mutations quite a few times she had a clue as to how it worked. In the reflection of the glass she noticed a tipped over cactus plant, the dirt sprawled over the floor. She walked over to it, setting the canister down, and picked the pot up to set it up right. She stared at it for some time in thought and placed her hands around it, cupping it deep enough to where the needles poked her hands hard enough to penetrate the skin.

Having an idea of what she was doing Dragan looked around to follow her lead but the only thing she could find was her shield and sword. She picked up her sword looking it over and sighed softly while wrapping her other hand around the blade, making a soft noise as as the sharp blade cut into her skin.

"Guess that's one way to do it." She heard Kara say as she walked up to her and stared down at the canister one more time before holding it out to Brilliance.

"What do you want me to do with this?" She asked while taking it from her.

"It's mutagen. It's what made the Turtles who they were. I want you to mutate us." Kara removed her cap and set it aside.

"Are you sure? This feels dangerous."

Kara took a deep breath and gave her a nod. "Just make sure that we don't lose our humanity."

Brilliance opened the canister and walked up to them, raising it over their heads.

Dragan and Kara looked at one another one last time before they felt the cold ooze fall onto their heads and trail down their bodies, each of them given half of the canister.

Their screams echoed through the lair as the mutification process began.

"And here we are."
"After we mutated, we took the Party Wagon an after a few repairs we armored it up an began tae search for everyone startin' wi Kara's family then mine. We scoured the states til we realized no one we knew was alive but we never gave up."

"Knowing you turtles would find a way to survive we began our search for you." Brilliance smiled at Raph.

"Well, come on, enough story time. Now that we know Mikey is alive we should head back on the road."

Kara, Dragan, and Brilliance began to pack up their camp while Raph filled their tank with gas.

"We'll tak your vehicle an drag the Armor Wagon behind so ye guys can geit some rest."

"What about you?" Raph asked curiously.

"Well, due tae ma body I don't need tae eat or sleep since I'm inorganic now. Don't worry, Raph, ye can trust me." Dragan gave him a smile and a nod.

Raph stared at her and sighed softly, smiling as well. "Alright, but don't scratch her. She's my baby after all." He turned to help Kara chain their ride to his, his shoulders relaxing.

Dragan did as she said, driving through the whole night letting everyone get their rest. It took some time and more convincing for Raph but, for once in this Apocalyptic life, he slept peacefully.

The following day Raphael took over driving again. Dragan pulled the map from their ride and sat on the passenger seat giving him directions. Sharing their supplies with another they decided to skip past Merchant Town.

"Do you really think he could be your brother?" Mira asked, sitting next to Dragan.

"A mad hermit living in the wild who calls himself the Holy Chalupa?"
"Definitely sounds like Mikey to me." Kara smiled bright at Donnie.

"I want to believe it too, guys, but don't get your hopes up."

"Until we found ye guys that's all we had, Raph. It's gotta be Mikey then we'll find Leo an we can be a family again." Dragan laid the map on her lap, staring ahead with fire in her eyes. She glanced to the side when something shined in her eyes and they widened when she saw April's Tessen shattered and used as decor for the vehicle. "April.." She whispered before turning around at Kara who obviously hadn't noticed.

"Before my clan was destroyed, they taught that the Holy Chalupa was the only one who could translate the map to Oasis."

"Ahh, Oasis is just fairy tales and campfire stories, kid."

Donnie poked his head between them all. "Mira, can I see this map you keep talking about?"

Mira held up her arm showing different colored lines. Kara and Dragan poked their heads close to get a good look. "We were all marked so we could find our way, but I'm the only one left."

"Hmm, doesn't resemble any language I've ever seen. It just looks like gibberish."

"Definitely Mikey." Kara said with a giggle.

"The Holy Chalupa will know what it means, and the only way to find him is by crossing the Impossible Wasteland."

"Good thing we were headin' thare anywys." Dragan smirked while leaning back.

"Just another desert to me." Raph muttered.

"I don't know, Raph. The Wasteland is miles of the harshest desert imaginable."

"The Wasteland is said to drive men mad." Mira added in to Donnie's comment.

"Ha. I'll show them who's mad." Raph smirked, staring ahead.

"Well, luckily for you guys I'm here. So you won't have to go mad." Kara stood up and began to do some stretches.

"What do you mean?" Mira asked, turning around to look at her.

"When we were humans Kara had been trained tae fight blind, usin' vibrations in the ground tae see her opponents movements. She can integrate that wi her bein' a botanic mutant so she can practically see under the Earth. O' course, it has limits but due tae that, as well as many other qualities, she has lead us safely throughout our travels; avoidin' traps an unfriendlies alike." Dragan grinned down at her as Mira stared at her in surprise then over to Kara. "Wow.." She whispered.

"Huh?" Raph suddenly slammed on the brakes, forcing Kara to stumble forward, smacking into the back of his chair. Mira's ears flattened her feeling of awe leaving as she cringed for her. "What's the big idea?" Kara asked, jumping to her feet.

"Quicksand pits." Donnie informed her.

Kara looked out the window and saw many different sized pits and sighed. "Atleast they're noticeable. Still, I'll be outside." She opened the door and climbed to the roof, sliding down the front of the vehicle and sat down against the bumpers. She gave Raph a thumbs up and he began to carefully maneuver their ride.

"Careful!" Kara shouted to them, Donnie on the roof to relay her messages.

"Don't drive so hard, Raph. Remember, your draggin' our car wi Brilliance inside behind ya."

"I know, I know, I need to concentrate."

"Left!" Donnie shouted. "No, your other left."
"He only has one left, Donnie." Kara shouted, her feet planted in the ground as they made their way through the first half of the Impossible Wasteland. Kara blinked when she felt something through the ground and held up her arm, clenching her first, telling them to stop. When he did she closed her eyes to concentrate when she heard a deep rumble. "Guys..you're not going to believe me but the ground here is unstable."

"It's bound to be with this much quicksand." Donnie confirmed but hearing a snap behind him he turned around to see the ground was literally beginning to crack. "Ahhh!"

"Get goin'!" Dragan shouted while Raph let out a yell and pressed his foot hard on the gas.

Kara let out a yell as he sped ahead, pulling her legs to her chest to keep them from getting torn from her body. "Oh, Brilliance isn't going to like this." She muttered, her voice shaking as they drove over uneven gravel and around like a lunatic. Hearing Donnie yell and scream she glanced behind her and saw a large wall of sand coming towards them. "A sandstorm?!" She shouted but quickly snapped her head forward when there was an overpass up ahead; just underneath the edge of the cliff where they were heading.

Raph pressed down even harder on the gas and Dragan quickly pulled Mira close to her, wrapping her body around her as they soared through the air and landed hard onto the overpass, all of them screaming bloody murder.

Raph loosened his foot on the pedal but kept going, never stopping, which almost had him lose control of the wheel. Both girls sighed in relief, feeling the danger was gone and Dragan let Mira go, smiling down at her.

"Are ye ok?"
"Y-Yeah." Mira nodded, smiling at her.

"Kara? Sweetie, are you alright?" Donnie asked, walking to the edge of the roof to see her clinging to the bumper, her arms wrapped tight around it like vines, her whole body tensed up like a cat with her needles poking out.

Hours later, Mira had fallen asleep leaning against Dragan. Despite the heat and weather; her skin was cool to the touch. Dragan had her arm around her to keep her from moving around too much when she was woken up by an alert.

"Got something approaching on radar fast." Donnie warned them all.

Dragan stood up, walking to the window when she saw a cloud of dust heading towards them.

"Raph, drive faster!" She heard Kara scream outside but it was too late. The cloud had moved under the car and tossed it off the road sending it tumbling with the Armored Wagon along with it.

Kara was thrown off the car, landing not too far from it and looked up to see Raph climb out of the hatch. She gasped softly when whatever was underground began to circle around them. She closed her eyes to figure out what it was but it was a creature she had never seen before, and that made her nervous. She began to slowly stand up, making sure to make as little noise as possible.

"We need tae geit tae those boulders!" Dragan shouted, pointed towards them and looked over to see Kara on the ground. "Raph, do ya hae anythin' tae distract whatever is out thare? We need tae help Kara."

"Yeah, I gotcha." He pulled out a can of food from his belt and went to throw it but stopped mid-throw to see Kara shaking her head at him. "Huh?" He blinked when she began to take a step back, the creature underground making a sharp turn towards her. She took another step before turning around and running the opposite direction.

"Kara, stop!"
"Kara, wait!" Donnie and Dragan called out to her.

Raph growled and turned to them. "Move it!" He jumped down and raced towards the boulders with the others not too far behind him. He glanced behind him to see the sand cloud right behind Kara and his eyes widened thinking it was the end for her. He quickly turned around, aiming his pistol but blinked when Brilliance swooped out of nowhere and picked her up. He sighed in relief only to immediately gulp when the sand cloud went straight for them. "Uh-oh."

Brilliance lowered Kara on the rocks and glared towards the sand cloud. "So that's why my sleep was disturbed."

"Metal feet, don't fail me now!" Donnie yelled as they ran towards the boulders.

Brilliance soared towards them, picking all of them up and placed them next to Kara, Donnie hugging her tight thinking he almost lost her. Brilliance raised her wings for lift off to save Raph when she saw the creature towering over him. Her eyes widened and she held out her hand to attack it when they all heard yelling.

Following the sound they saw a figure standing over a tall boulder doing a weird dance while waving its arms around. Whatever it was doing made the creature stop from eating Raph.

"Booyakasha!" The figure shouted, removing it's large hat revealing the very person they were looking for: Mikey.

"Can it be?"
"Mikey?"
"The Holy Chalupa?"
"MIKEY!!" Both girls shouted in excitement.

"Little one!" Brilliance flew at Mikey with such speed and picked him up, holding him tight. "I thought we would never find you!" She nuzzled her cheek into his glad to see her friend was alive and well. "You're so scrawny. You're like a feather to me." She held him up high with one hand before lowering him down to the ground both of them laughing. "It's good to see you kicking, Bri!"

Mikey jumped from Brilliance's arms to Raph's and hugged him tight. "Big Bro! I thought I'd never see you again! Chompy, look who it is. It's your dadda, Raph!"

"CHOMPY?!"

Chompy walked up to Raph and licked his shell. Raph turned around, Mikey jumping from his arms, and he stared at Chompy in confusion. "Chompy?" Once he got a look in his eyes, his own grew in realization as memories of his companion flashed in his mind. "Chompy! Wow, you got so big!" He stroked his muzzle but let out a startled yell as Chompy picked him up with his mouth.

"Mikey!"
"Mikey!" Both girls hugged him tight and he stared at them both in surprise.

"Woah, hey there strangers." He said with a hint of confusion.

"Mikey, it us! Your friends!"
"Dragan an Kara dum-dum!"

"Kara? Dragan? Y-You made it! I can't believe it!" He wrapped his arms around the two "Oh, this is great news! She's going to be so happy!"

"Who?" Kara asked curiously but blinked when Donnie walked up to them.

"I can't believe it. After all this time, you made it, Mikey." Donnie placed a hand on his shoulder.

"And look at you, D. Awesome robot body. Heavy metal high three." When they did Mikey laughed only to let out a small, "Ouch" from the contact with metal. He then turned around to see a small meerkat in front of him.

"Are you truly the mystic called the Holy Chalupa? Mira asked, hopeful.

I am the Holy Chalupa or just Mikey." He said with a smile.

"I am Mira of the Meerkat Clan. It was fate that brought me to you, Holy Chalupa." Mira gave him a soft bow and he placed his hand on her shoulder. "Ah, yes, the universe bringing us together as we were meant to be."

"Yup, he's still Mikey." Raph mumbled as Chompy walked up to them, dangling Raph by his foot til he dropped him.

"Wouldn't have it any other way." Kara said with a smile.
"Agreed."

"How did you make it out here on your own without going crazy?" Donnie asked.

All of them blinked when Mikey walked up to a bag of bones, speaking to it.

"I stand corrected.." Donnie said which got a laugh out of Brilliance who suddenly began to cough and lower to one knee.

"Brilliance!" Dragan and Kara ran over to her.
"She's been out in the sun too long. We need to get her back in the Armor Wagon."

The guys and Dragan, with the help of Chompy, pulled both vehicles back up right and Kara helped Brilliance inside. Dragan made sure the A/C still worked and turned it down as low as it could get before covering all the windows.

Raph tied a chain to Chompy's tail and they all climbed on his shell; Chompy leading them to Mikey's hideout dragging the cars behind him with ease.

Everyone's eyes widened to see up ahead his hideout which was a Mexican themed restaurant.

"Wow, the odds of this being the last standing structure in a town like this must be astronomical"

"Who guessed it was going to be a food joint?" Kara glanced around to see everyone but Mira raise their hands making her laugh.

"It's perfect, right? As long as sandstorms, acid rain, and mushroom trolls don't bother you."

"Just go on in. I'll meet cha in a sec." Mikey had Chompy go around back to park the cars and get him some water.

Everyone else walked inside, entering his hideout, but were met with a gun pointed right at them. They froze in shock and went to tell them they were friendly when Mikey popped in, smiling. "I'm home and I brought company!"

The thing aiming the gun at them blinked and they were suddenly met with Icecream Kitty who meowed at them softly with a smile.

"Icecream Kitty!" Kara ran up to him and swooped him into her arms, nuzzling him against her cheek. Icecream Kitty purred softly.

"Welcome to Casa De Michelangelo." Mikey smiled at them all as they walked further in.

"Woah. This place is amazing." Kara said in awe.
Definitely Mikey worthy." Dragan smiled but blinked when she noticed he was looking around for something but stopped when he walked up to the mascot.

"This is my main amigo, Senor Antonio. High three, my bro!" He high three-d the mascot when he saw Mira standing in front of his wall of TV's showing cartoons. "Wow, the great stories of old."

"Yeah, yeah. Anything to eat around here?" Raph asked, looking around.

"It's always pizza time at Mikey's house." Mikey sat down on a massive tower of pizza pans and opened one to reveal goo that once was pizza and ate it all in one go.

Everyone looked away in disgust.

"I don't even have a stomach anymore, and I want to throw up." Donnie stated, feeling nauseous; the girls having to agree with him.

When Kara opened her mouth to speak they all heard the bell in the front ring, indicating someone had entered, and they stared at Mikey curiously. He only smiled at them all and went back to eating.

"Ok, Mikey, as usual, your list was impossible to shop for but I managed to get some supplies and my ow-" Sara floated into the room digging through a messenger bag and pulled out a pack of cigarettes when her eyes fell on strangers.

"Oh, I didn't realize we were expecting comp..any.." Her voice lowered as her eyes looked over each and every one of them til they stopped on a cactus mutant. The mutant slowly walked up to her.

"S-Sara...is...is that really you?" They whispered, Sara immediately recognizing their voice.

The bag dropped to the ground, phasing through her mutant body and she planted her feet on the ground, changing to her human form. She slowly reached a hand out and moved her hair from her eye to show the very familiar purple. "Kara?..What happened to you?" She whispered softly.

"I...we had to adapt.." Kara stared up at the eyes of her sister til she was pulled into an embrace.

"I can't believe you're alive. I was so scared that I lost you." Sara tightened her arms around her sister, tears of pure joy streaming down her face. Kara buried her face into her sister's shoulder, smiling bright, crying as well. "You've gotten so big. I can't believe I missed you growing up." Sara looked over her sister while gently wiping the tears away and hugged her again.

"Did anyone else make it? Mom? Dad? Mrs. Christine? Casey?" Kara stared at her, hopeful to hear some good news only for it to fade when Sara closed her eyes and looked away.
"I'm sorry, Kara.."

"Mikey, what about Leo?"

Mikey hopped down his pizza goop throne and stood beside Sara. "He was caught inside of that mutagen blast. There's no way he could have survived that."

In the background Icecream Kitty was playing sad, keyboard music.

"I knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up.."

"No, you're wrong. He survived. I know he did. I can feel it. After everythin' we've been through he wouldn't let this stop him." Dragan clenched her fist, glaring down at the ground.

Raph and the others stared at her in sorrow thinking she was holding onto blind hope but Kara stood beside her and placed a hand on her shoulder, giving her a nod.

"But the Mutant Apocalypse isn't so bad. The bros are back together," Mikey popped up between his brothers, putting his arms around them, "Kara and Dragan are alive with sweet, new mutant bodies and are reunited with Sara," Mikey pulled the three girls together in a hug making all of them smile, "Icecream Kitty and Chompy are kicking it," He high-three-d Icecream Kitty, "And we have all the pizza and cartoons we'll ever need! Which reminds me, I found this! The last episode of "Space Heroes: the Next Generation." Mikey held up the cassette tape to show everyone.

"Out of everything that survived this..it had to be that stupid show." Kara groaned, placing her hand over her forehead.

"Is that suppose to mean something?" Raph asked, staring at it with disinterest.

"Let me refresh your memory, bromeo."

While the others gathered around the wall of TVs Kara waved Sara to follow her, walking off to the side to catch up.

"So what happened? Where's mom and dad?" Kara asked softly, both of them sitting down next to Senor Antonio.

"We heard the news of the Mutagen Blast on TV. Of course, we were all freaking out for you and your friends but there wasn't much we could do. The Mutagen began to spread like a plague, similar to those Zombie movies, their bodies weren't strong enough to handle it." Sara closed her eyes as she recalled their suffering but she pushed it to the back of her mind, opening her eyes to stare at her alive and well sister. "I was alone so I begun my travels. No destination in mind, just moving forward. In order to survive I was forced to control my body at will and now it feels natural. Mikey, well Chompy, found me and they took me in. I leave every now and then for supplies and it's been like this every since. What about you?"

"It took awhile to get use to this body but I can understand how you felt when you decided to stay the way you are. I am able to do so much more as a mutant but sometimes I fear I will lose myself, the old me, the human me." Kara stared down at her hands almost forgetting what she use to look like.

"Kara, you and I both know that will never happen. You have friends and family around you to make sure of that. The old you was a teenager though and look at you; you've grown into a beautiful adult. Can't say I wish I could see what you would look like as a human." She reached her hand out, moving her hair out of face, smiling with pride. Kara looked away bashful but smiled none the less. "Mom and dad would be so proud of you." Sara whispered making Kara tearful.
"Thanks, Sara."

"Don't you see? This is exactly what's happening to us." Raph shouted, grabbing the attention of the two girls.

"Don't get so excited. It's just a cartoon, Raph, geez."
"Can't tak everythin' so literal or else you'll go crazy, Raph."

"Well, I'm gonna go check on Brilliance. Want to come with me, Sara?" Kara stood up, smiling at her.
"Of course, it would be nice to thank her for saving you two." She followed her sister

"Oh, you're getting so big! I wonder how long til you're the size of your mother." Kara scratched Chompy's chin making him smile and kick his leg, giggling at this before she climbed into the Armor Wagon.

Brilliance was resting peacefully in the back so the two decided to join her, sitting down around the pile of blankets. Sara took a look around the vehicle, this being the first time inside it. "It's roomy."

"Yeah, you can thank Dragan for all of this. I helped whenever I could."

Sara stared down at their feet and closed her eyes, sighing. "I'm sorry I wasn't there for you. I'm sorry I wasn't able to protect you like I should of, like I promised."

Kara stared at her smiling with a soft huff. "Apologizes aren't needed...unless you were the one who set off the mutagen bomb and destroyed all life as we know." Kara raised a brow a smirk now on her lips making Sara chuckle and nudge her with her shoulder, both of them now chuckling.

"Wait, do you hear that?" Kara asked, tilting her head upward hearing a strange noise. Both of them were quiet when they heard the sound of loud music playing inside the building.

"Sounds like Senor Antonio and his band are playing..he hasn't played music since we discovered the place. Come on." Sara immediately stood and went out the door with Kara behind her. "Is that a bad thing?" Kara asked only for her question to be answered not only hearing Chompy becoming agitated but seeing the Lizard Clan dragging an unconscious Mira to their vehicle with Honey Badgers right on their tail. "Mira!" Kara shouted and went to go follow them.

Noticing Raph throw a Badger off his ride, she ran towards him and hopped on the seat behind him with Sara flying right beside them. "They took Mira." Raph explained to them.

"I know, try not to lose them." Kara pointed ahead for him to keep his eyes on them. Raph nodded and stared ahead, his ninja eyes peering through his goggles. "I'm coming, kid."

"They're sending their goons after us." Sara shouted to them as the weenie cart turned around, three circular cycles popping out of the sides. "Keeps your eyes on Rex. We'll take care of them." Kara grinned, clenching her fists as her arms expanded while Sara flew ahead of them, sending one lizard mutant off it's ride.

When Raph got close to another one Kara punched her arm out, her arm growing til it made contact with the lizard's face, knocking it out and off it's ride while Raph fired at the third one, destroying it and it's ride. "Nice shooting, Raph." Kara smiled at him making him grin before letting out a startled yell, the weenie cart driving right at them. "Do your thing, Raph." Kara's arms stretched around him, grabbing hold of the handlebars while Raph stood up and jumped onto the weenie cart. She moves to the driver seat and watches him climb inside it before turning the bike around and follows after them when it changed direction. Sara floated above her and landed in the seat behind her, giving her a thumbs up. Kara nodded to her and followed Raph til she jerked the bike to the side when the weenie hut almost rammed into them. "Raph! What's the big ide-" Both of them froze when they heard an explosion behind them. They turned around to see the hut was destroyed and in flames. "Guys? No...NO!" Kara screamed before turning back around, slamming her foot on the gas to catch up with Raph. "I just got them back. I just got my family back!" She screamed in her head, tears prickling the side of her eyes.

Raph bulldozed through the bikes and cars that were behind the lines, going straight for the vehicle that had Mira in it while Sara phased past Kara and took out another two riders. Hearing another explosion Kara's eyes widened seeing the weenie cart Raph was in go airborne and fall towards her. She let out a yell and tilted the bike towards the ground, sliding away from it before it could land on her and stumbled off the bike, it sliding a few feet past her. "Raph? Raph!" She shouted, immediately jumping to her feet and running towards the now pile of parts that once was the cart. Her body grew with each step and she began immediate work on tossing away the rubble. "Raph! Raph speak to me! Tell me you're alive!" She shouted, her voice cracking in panic. Sara was soon beside her, helping her out. "Look, there." She said, seeing his hand and grabbed it to pull him out while Kara took care of the rest of the rubble.

Sara laid him down and checked his heartbeat. "He's alive." Just as she said that he began to cough and slowly sat up. "Ugh, felt like a missile hit me."

Kara sighed in relief and returned to her normal size, dropping to her knees. "It did. I'm so glad you're alive." She hugged him tight making him smile but it disappeared when he saw what was left of the hut. He gave her a gentle squeeze then stood up. "Come on, we better hurry and save Mira."

"Who knows what they'll do to her after they get what they want." Sara nodded in agreement following behind Raph to the bike. Kara took a step towards them and glanced back at the hut for a second seeing nothing but smoke before running to catch up.

Raph parked the bike behind a boulder away from the search lights in front of the compound. Sara went ahead and searched for a way for them to climb the wall without being seen but blinked in surprise to see Kara holding onto Raph with her legs growing as tall as the wall, able to easily climb over the side. She shook her head with a smile and went further ahead to check their security.

Kara saw the two guards on the wall and when both of them looked at each other, they grinned.

"Oh, boooys~" Kara cooed making the guards turn to see her casually leaning against a rock with one hand on her hip and the other gesturing them to come to her, giving them a wink. "Hey!" One shouted when both went to take a step towards her but Raph snuck up behind the second one, clasping his hand over it's mouth and knocking it out. "What the-" Before the first one could get a grasp of the situation, Kara ran up behind him and knocked him out cold. Both Raph and Kara chuckled at each other and high-fived.

Sara appeared beside them with a smile. "I found where they're keeping Mira. Follow me." She pointed to a hatch on the ground for them to go through while she floated down. "After you, my good sir." Kara grinned while giving Raph a playful bow. "Why, thank you." Raph grinned, walking on top of the body making it gag in pain before opening the hatch and dropping through, Kara right behind him.

Stealth was the name of the game, and with not only the help of their training but with Sara's help too, they were winning and it wasn't long til they found the cell Mira was held in.

All of them stuck to the shadows just as Rex, the leader of the Reptilians, and another entered the room, the two guards standing at attention with their right arms over their chest.

"Oh, great, these two horn-nobs again." Mira muttered, staring up at her captures in annoyance.

Rex growled and reached in, grabbing her arm and pulled it out through the bars revealing the map.

"You were right, Verminator. She has the map. Transcribe it." The Reptilian's leader ordered to the third reptile that had entered the room with them.

"As you wish, Imperius Reptilicus."

"Try saying that name five times fast." Kara muttered under her breath.
"Shh" Raph whispered, watching them intensely.

"This is a blessed day. My master, Maximus Kong has been seeking The Green Place for many years now." Rex grinned down at Mira.

"I cannot translate it. The map is gibberish!" The transcriber exclaimed.

"No! Tell us how to read it, child!" Rex pulled harder on her arm, getting close to her face. Mira glared and reached out, biting his nose hard enough to make him let go and yell out in pain. She fell on her butt and began spitting, trying to get the taste out of her mouth. "Ugh! You taste like an old, dead rat, Verminator."

Rex grabbed the cell door and roared in anger, ready to tear her apart when he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Calm thyself, Verminator Rex. She will tell us everything..when she's drying out from thirst." Imperius turned his head towards her and smirked.

The three of them watched Imperius, Rex, and the Transcriber leave then looked at each other and nodded, ready to take action. Raph moved between the two guards and punched one, grabbing him to knock him out.

"Ah! Intruder!" The other yelled and went to set off the alarm but blinked seeing a smoke girl casually leaning against it, checking her nails, when a fist made out of smoke punched him out of nowhere causing him to stumble backwards where Kara pounced on his back, locking his arms above his head and knocking him out as well. She stood to her feet and dusted herself off while Raph dug through their pockets finding the cell key. Sara walked to the entrance to keep a look out.

"Red Stripe, Kara, you're alive."

"Well, I couldn't leave my favorite meerkat behind, could I?" He gave her a smile while unlocking the door.
"Yeah, you're practically one of us now." Kara smiled from behind him.

"Where are the others?"

Kara and Raph looked at each other with sad eyes and closed them, lowering their heads. That was all Mira needed to know. She walked out of her cell and hugged Raph. "Thank you, Raphael. Kara." He sighed softly and put his arms around her in a hug as well. Kara watched the two with a soft smile but blinked hearing movement behind her. When she turned around the one she knocked out was up and reaching for the alarm. "Oh no you do-" She stretched her arm out to grab him but it was too late. The alarm had been set off.

"Oh, great." Kara deadpanned before punching the guys lights out.
"Of course that had to happen." Raph rolled his eyes.

"Guys, this way!" Sara shouted over the alarms, pointing where they needed to go before running in that direction, Raph, Mira, and Kara hot on her heels. "Move, Mira!" He glanced behind to make sure she was with him and saw Kara fighting off some Reptilians but they were outnumbering her to the point that they piled on top of her. "Kara!" He went to turn around but blinked when they were thrown off her, Kara now in battle mode and went to catch up to them but blinked when she felt chains and rope wrap around her arms and legs. "Grr, Raph! Go on ahead. I'll catch up!" She struggled to free herself but she began falling to her knees by the sheer force of them all. A few stepped over her, going after the others.

Sara was slamming her body into the ones that were coming out of the walls, trying to clear a path.
"Move Mira! Go! Go! Go!" Raph shouted but as they rounded the corner even more Reptilians came into view and it was clear Sara was struggling on her own. The ones that were behind them jumped onto the Raph to stop him and two more came behind Mira and grabbed her, lifting her off the ground. Sara glared and her eyes began to glow ready to attack them all when a voice came from the shadows. "Ah, ah, ahh. I wouldn't do that if I were you." Rex came into view with two Reptilians behind him holding Kara captive, Rex with a knife pointed at her. "Kara..let her go no-" Sara went to fly towards them but halted when Rex slowly stabbed the knife into her shoulder making her yell out in pain. "Not another inch, mutant." He narrowed his at her. "Surrender. Now. Or else.." He turned back to Kara pushing the knife deeper into her skin. Raph, Mira, and Sara shouted out in protest green ooze now coming from the wound as Kara bit her lip to try and keep in her scream but she couldn't hold it in anymore and tried to break free but the more she moved the deeper it went.

"Ok!..Ok, just please..stop it." Sara lowered her head and floated to the ground, her body solidifying. She held up her hands in surrender and two more guards grabbed her; tackling her to the floor.

Rex pulled the knife out of Kara, making her scream and go limp, panting from the pain, and walked over to Raph. Bending down to his level, he pressed the colored blade to his chin, getting some of Kara's blood on him. "Turtle, I should have known you weren't dead. Yet." He stood up straight, grinning down at him. "Take him to the pit." Imperius ordered as Rex stomped his foot on Raph's face, knocking him out. He and the others were taken deeper into the Reptilian compound to await their fate.
