Two years is a long time

"Is she mad at me?" Bella whispers softly to her shorter friend as they inch closer and closer to the table.

"No" Alice shakes her head. "I mean she hasn't said anything." Alice snickers and Bella shakes her head at the small joke. "But I don't think she's mad, maybe just confused" The brunette nods as she stands in front of the table.

"Hey Emmett" the brunette finally responds to her large friend " Rose? Walk with me to the library?" Bella keeps her eyes trained on her girlfriends, pleading with the blonde. Rosalie sits with an unreadable expression on her face; blue orbs swirling with emotion. After what feels like hours to Bella, Rosalie nods and stands to follow Bella out of the cafeteria.

The entire trip to the library is a silent one, which with Rosalie most things were but something in Bella's mind told her this wasn't a good silence. Once they reached the library door, the brunette sighed and running her fingers through her hair, she led Rosalie to the back corner. She turned to face her girlfriend eyeing her posture and clothing; Bella had so much to say but she knew this wasn't the time or place so instead she quietly sat down in the chair against the wall.

"Can we just sit until it's time for class?" the brunette gestures to the chair across from her at the table. However, to Bellas surprise, Rosalie takes the seat to her left and then proceeds to pull out her notebook. The notebook is already opened to a page.

I Love you

Bella gazes at the words intently, tracing Rosalie's handwriting over and over brown orbs swirling with emotion. There they were, the words Bella wishes she could hear come out of her girlfriend's mouth but she knows that would be a massive step for the blonde.

"Rose?" the brunette whispers out.

The bell rings; startled both girls heads snap up eyes find each other. Disappointment written on their faces; Rosalie blinks first her sapphire eyes turning to face the bookshelf. Alice, of course, stands with a small smile on her face.

"Let's go to class?" Although it is a statement there is a question on Alice's voice as she gazes at her two friends. Bella internally sighs, she knows school is important, especially it being their last year.

Art is a blur; Bella stares anxiously at the clock waiting for the hour to be over. Her thoughts running wild, just the thought that Rosalie Hale could actually love her makes her heart beat out of the brunette's chest. Although, now that Bella knew of her girlfriends past she was more uncertain now of things than ever before. Rose has been through so much and the last thing she wanted to do was to bring her more pain. Angela sat quietly alongside Bella during Art she could tell her friend was distracted and she didn't want to break her train of thought.

Isabella could feel the stares; Angela who is slightly worried, Alice who probably could read her mind, Jasper wondering what exactly happened, and Rosalie longing to be alone with her. Ms. Point walks out of the room and Bella groans throwing her head onto the desk.

Forks is so much more than she expected.
