Full disclaimer I'm a terrible writer. This is my first time writing any story and I am by no means a professional so forgive me for any errors or if its bad id appreciate feedback and I will eventually have a revised edition so it's a bit better. This starts in a similar setting as the last few chapters of The Last Olympian with some changes as it's a fan fic and im not here to rewrite the same chapters. As for the Characters I will try to make their personalities as accurate as possible but some of my own personality will occasionally slip in because I'm the one writing the story
The Return
Chapter One
"You are not the hero." Rachels words still ringing in my head as I waited inside the elevator with Justin Bieber playing softly in the background.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Annabeth asked.
"Nothing just something Rachel said to me earlier." Annabeth's face darkened at the mention of Rachels name.
"Right." She replied
"Annabeth what the fuck is your guy's problem with each other, every time you guys are together you do nothing but bicker."
"Oh my Gods you're so clueless sometimes Percy." Right then the elevator pinged, and the doors opened. "This is our stop." Annabeth grumbled and stormed out. I shook my head and ran out to follow her.
Along the path to the throne room, Camp Half Blood and the Hunters of Artemis had already set up camp. I looked around and saw several demigods with various injuries, some of which I knew, some I'd never paid attention to. I spotted Thalia tending to an injured hunter. "Hey Thalia" I yelled, pushing through the crowd.
Thalia looked up "Hey Percy what's up?"
"How many?"
Her face turned grim "46 injured, 19 confirmed dead and 4 MIA."
"Shit that's too many"
"Any Idea on Kronos's plans?"
"Annabeth said he plans on raiding the throne room to destroy the thrones himself."
"Speaking of Annabeth where is she?"
"I don't know we got into an argument in the elevator, and she stormed off. You should probably go find her; I doubt she wants to talk to me right now and we need to regroup and discuss battle plans."
"On it seaweed brain."
"See ya later Pinecone face" I said as Thalia turned to find Annabeth and flipped me off behind her back.
While I waited for Thalia to come back with Annabeth, I decided to visit all the wounded Campers. The first person I talked to was Travis Stoll. He had a bandage around his side with his brother and a child of Apollo I hadn't seen before feeding him Ambrosia. I took the unknown medic to the side
"Hey Percy, what's up?"
"How bad is it?"
"He got lucky, if the knife went any deeper it would've punctured his lung but he's still in critical condition."
I nodded slowly "I need someone to tell me every time there's an update to his condition immediately.
"Got it boss."
I groaned "Please just call me Percy I don't need someone else calling me boss along with Black Jack."
"Alright" The kid said as he turned away to continue tending to Travis
After I had visited everyone, I started rounding up everyone who could still fight and waited for Thalia and Annabeth to come back.
When they arrived at the group, I gathered everyone around the shield to discuss the battle plans.
"Alright everyone according to Annabeth and the Shield Kronos plans to raid Olympus himself."
"We'll send troops down to the bottom floor to slow them down." Annabeth interrupted. "We need to relocate the wounded to a safer location and set defenses around the first floor."
"The Hunters can help move the injured." Thalia offered
"Alright well send some of the Apollo campers to help. The rest should help the Athena cabin set up traps. Thaila, Grover, Annabeth, I need you to stick with me in the throne room. Any objections?" Silence. "Alright everyone to positions now." The camp councilors started barking orders to the campers.
"Jerry, Gracie, Kylie, Yan, go help the wounded move. Everyone else get to defensive positions!" Will Solstice the new camp counselor of the Apollo cabin ordered.
Thalia, Grover and Annabeth followed me to the throne room where we waited for Chronos. I turned to Annabeth. "I need you to watch me." I stated
"What why?" Annabeth asked confused.
"I have an idea." I said as I turned away and started walking towards the thrones
As I started to climb my father's throne, I faintly heard Annabeth warn me to be careful. When I finally got to the top I heard my father's voice boom so loud inside my head felt like it was going to explode.
"WHO DARES TO SIT ON MY THRONE!" his voice rattled inside my head. "Oh, Percy. You've got to be careful if I hadn't hesitated I would've blasted you to smithereens."
"Yea I know but I had to get your attention somehow. Listen I have a plan to stop Kronos but I need your help."
"Percy, you know I'm busy fighting of Oceanus and defending my palace from his army."
"Listen dad, this is more important than your palace, if you don't help Typhon will reach Olympus and there with be nothing anyone can do and Kronos will win."
After several minutes of arguing with my dad he finally agreed to listen to my plan. Before I got done fully explaining I was yanked off the throne. When my head finally cleared I realized how much pain I had been in.
"Percy are you okay?!" Annabeth said standing over me.
"I think so why?"
"Your clothes were starting to burn away, hope your little talk was worth it" She said. That's when I realized exactly how much power my dad held and wondered why he hadn't been made king.
"Yes, my father is going to join in to help the gods fight against Typhon. Now all we need to do is wait for Kronos to show up." I said and Annabeth nodded in approval
…..
We waited for what felt like hours and I started to question if the visions were real or if Kronos had tricked us again. After all he had always been two steps ahead of us, why shouldn't he now?
Thalia and had started pacing while Grover was chewing anxiously on a beer can, and I wondered if everyone on the first floor was wondering the same thing. Annabeth Was staring at the shield trying to find anything on Kronos and/or his plans to find the shield after I had suggested we check it again.
"Maybe he's not coming." Grover suggested.
"No, he has too. There's no other way he can permanently destroy the gods." Annabeth replied.
After Annabeth finished her sentence, we heard the doors creak open and everyone instinctively got into defensive positions.
"Hello children." A familiar voice said
