After I finished up in the kitchen, I found my way back through the passages to get back to my room. Judging by darkness outside and how many lanterns had been lit in the halls, the dinner outside had already started, so I only had a little bit to get back to the room before all the craziness went down. I heard a clambering start up in the hall adjacent to the passage and was relieved to hear it was only the boys taking Mey-Rin back to the kitchen. That meant I still had at least an hour until the true crazy started.

When I finally made it back to my room, my lights were turned on, and a piece of cloth was placed at the foot of the bed. Upon further inspection, I realized it was what be considered an 'appropriate' nightgown for a young woman. It was a full-length dress with long sleeves and buttons up the front. I took one look at it and threw it in the extra chair in the room. Why would I wear something so stuffy when I had a perfectly good pair of shorts and a nightshirt instead?

I picked my phone back up and put on some piano instrumentals. Probably not best to have 'harder' songs playing with a guest in the house.

I changed back into my shorts and lay in my bed for a while, finally letting my situation fully sink in after everything that had already happened. Somehow, I ended up in an anime. Not the best way to disappear from reality, but that's okay I guess? I've seen it enough that I have a basic timeline for things to go down, I know when the big shit happens and when I need to keep out of everything. Speaking of things going down, why haven't I heard any screaming yet?

I sat up in bed and looked at the clock- if it was right, it was nearing ten, so he should be getting chased out of the manor soon, right? Immediately after dinner, they should have gone back for the game only for the man to leave and then have his head screwed with by Sebastian. I highly doubt he would let Ciel stay up too late, so he should be-

"Stay- stay away from me! "

I laughed as I realized the mental torture had begun, and now all I had to do was wait it out. I turned my music down and cracked my door as I listened to shouts echo into my area of the manor. It was quite funny to hear a grown man shout and scream, knowing there was absolutely nothing wrong, other than his now-crippled leg. As his final words rang out, I shut my door and headed back to my bed.

I flopped down and stared at the ceiling. Now that the end of the episode was fast approaching, I didn't know what was going to happen. Apparently, it's not going to be the start on the second episode tomorrow morning, considering I saw a whole lot of behind-the-scenes-not-in-the-anime things today. On the one hand, that meant nothing that bad or essential to the storyline would happen soon. On the other hand, I would now need to figure out exactly what I'm supposed to do.

And I'm going to need something to tell Sebastian and Ciel about where I'm from because obviously, they didn't believe the truth. And I can't say the full truth unless I want them to put me in an institution, and a lobotomy from the 19th century doesn't sound all to fun at the moment, thank you. The only thing they can know for sure is that I'm decently educated, I'm not from around here, and I somehow have a key to the manor. Maybe I can convince them it's a skeleton key I found in a spook shop? It's highly unlikely, but with a demon under the roof, they can't exactly dismiss the idea of magic, right?

A knocking at my door brings me out of my thoughts.

A bright voice chirped from the hall, "Miss? My name's Finnian, Sebastian asked me to bring you a piece of the leftover dessert from tonight!"

That jerk. Not Finnian, Sebastian. I specifically told him I wouldn't want anything he made tonight! I sighed as I got off the bed. Cracking the door open, I saw Finnian standing there with a piece of lemon meringue pie. Fully opening the door, I watched as his smile widened before he quickly turned red.

"I appreciate the offer, but I'm not hungry at the moment. You may have my piece or share it with the others if you'd like."

Still blushing to his roots, he nodded quickly and ran off down the hall.

Once again, I shut myself in my room and flopped on the bed, much less gracefully than earlier. Why was he acting so weird? Finny's character is friendly and personable so why was he suddenly shy. I glanced at myself and face-palmed. Of course he was blushing! I was in a tank top and shorts, which isn't even passable for a beach-goer, let alone casual wear. For him, it must've seemed like I was almost naked!

With that in mind, I got up and put the stupid nightgown on the desk by the door. Next time someone comes knocking, I can just slip that on over my clothes and avoid giving anyone else a heart attack. That being done, it was time to turn out the lights and go to bed. Tomorrow was coming fast, and I had no choice but to prepare for it.

Okay kids, that's a wrap for episode one! Did we like it, did we hate it? I know it took like seven chapters, but I like how this turned out! Truth be told, Finny is one of my favorite characters because I think he's absolutely adorable. Anyways, coming up- Myra finds her place in the household! Stay tuned... ~IAE
