Jack Sparrow smirked. He almost had the chest. A little further and -

Jack blinked. Blinked again. He had had the chest in his hands. And then...he was here? Jack spun around, and decapited the head of a Davy Jones crew mate as he did so. He realized where he was now. He was aboard the Black Pearl. There was Gibbs, and Barbossa was fighting violently. There was - oh. Will and Elizabeth were kissing. In the middle of a fight. Jack rolled his eyes, stabbed an official, and sauntered over to the couple.

"Alright, lovebirds, are we done here? I was thinking maybe-"

Jack stopped short, mouth open. As soon as Will and Elizabeth had broken apart and looked at the Captain, Will, that treacherous blacksmith-turned-pirate disappeared. A flash of green and Will was gone.

"Will?!" Elizabeth yelled. Eyes wide, she stared at Jack, panic flaring in her eyes.

Jack closed his mouth. Opened it again. Closed it.

"Where'd Will go?" Jack finally said. Elizabeth gave him a glare and twisted to stab someone.

"Jack!" Elizabeth yelled from where she was yanking her sword out of a chest. "You better have an answer for this!"

Jack killed a Davy Jones crewmate and yelled back, "Don't I always, darling?"

Elizabeth suddenly pulled on Jack's arm.

"Where did he go, Jack?"

"Isn't it obvious? This is a sign. It's just you and me, love."

"Never!" Elizabeth snarled. "I just got married, Will is the only one. Where did he go, Jack?!"

The Pirate Captain frowned. "Sorry, did you say you just got married?"

Elizabeth never got time to respond, for there was another bright green flash, and all the crew mates of Davy Jones paused. Then as one, they all fell to the ground.

Jack stared at the barnacle-covered man lying at his feet.

"Does that usually happen in a fight?"

"No..." Elizabeth responded, staring as well.

"Elizabeth?"

Jack and the pirate king turned at her name, and then kept staring. The one who had spoken the name of Elizabeth was not unrecognizable.

"Will?" Elizabeth whispered, disbelief coloring her voice richly.

The man indeed was Will, though he looked to be... a different version.

There was a bandanna wrapped around his forehead, and he was more... mature looking, almost. Darker.

"Elizabeth," Will murmured. His gaze traveled to Jack. "Jack? What are you doing here? Where am I?"

"You're on the Black Pearl. Will, what happened to you?"

Will stared at Elizabeth then quickly spun, taking in the scene. The deformed figures of Davy Jones's crew, lying silently on the ground. The destruction of the ship. The battle still happening on the other pirate ships.

"I've traveled back in time," Will muttered, loud enough for Jack and Elizabeth to hear. They gazed at him in wonder.

"You're from the future?" Elizabeth asked breathlessly.

Will's face suddenly darkened, and both Elizabeth and Jack shivered. Will had never, never scared Jack before. Sure, it sometimes shook him how much of a pirate Will had become, double-crossing everyone, but he had never been seen as dangerous. This Will... was darker, and most definitely dangerous.

"Well, mate, finally turned into a real pirate?" Jack gestured to the bandanna covering Will's forehead.

Will didn't respond. Jack stalked closer. "So, wanna tell me what happens in the future? Do they all know me as 'immortal Captain Jack Sparrow'?"

Jack moved to put a hand on Will's shoulder, and get a closer look into the former blacksmith's eyes. Every pirate knew that the eyes were the window to the soul. You look into a questionable man's eyes, and often enough you could tell what kinda person he is.

Jack never got the chance. Without a sound, Will disappeared. Jack looked up in shock and staggered. Will was now standing at the helm, hand on the ornate sword hanging at his waist.

"Blimey," Jack whispered. He had seen only one other person have the ability to teleport.

Jack and Elizabeth both sprinted toward Will. Jack had to know, he had to confirm his suspicions. Elizabeth wanted to throw herself into his arms.

Jack walked closer, feet away from the time traveler. Will's eyes were down.

Jack eyes's traveled down to his chest and his eyes widened.

Elizabeth reached out a hand, tracing the long, red scar above his heart. She felt Will tense.

"Will." She whispered. "What is this?"

Suddenly panic engulfed the pirate king. Her hand was on his chest, yet she could not feel the thump thump of his heart. He had no pulse.

"You're dead!" Elizabeth whispered in horror. "That's why you were so surprised to see me because you're dead! What brought you back? Oh, Will!"

Sobbing, Elizabeth flung herself into his arms.

"No," Will whispered, wrapping his arms around her. "I'm not dead. But I'm not alive either."

Jack knew. He knew as soon as he saw the scar. "You succeeded," Jack said softly. "You killed Davy Jones."

Elizabeth gasped.

"In a way," Will replied.

"Where was I then? Did you lock me up, or kill me?"

"No," Will said quietly. "No, Jack, you made me stab the heart. You saved my life."

Jack raised an eyebrow. "I did what?"

"You saved my life by forcing my hand to stab the heart of Davy Jones."

Jack chuckled. "Now why would I do that? And how do you save someone by killing that squid man?"

Elizabeth trembled. "Killing the heart makes you immortal."

Jack rolled his eyes. "Yes, darling, it does."

Will stepped away from Elizabeth and turned to the rail, facing the sea. "I was almost dead when Jack made me stab the heart. I died moments later. Next thing I knew I was underwater on the Flying Dutchman with a crew to command."

Elizabeth made a strangled noise. "Dead? How?" Jack replied, covering his shock.

Will turned around again, and with fire in his eyes said, "Davy Jones stabbed me in the heart."

Elizabeth let out a cry. "When, Will? How soon will I lose you?"

The Captain of the Flying Dutchman looked around. "If we had just got married, I'd say in... half an hour?" Elizabeth seemed to be in shock, bringing a hand to her mouth.

Can't blame her, Will thought sympathetically. He knew exactly what she was feeling. He'd been in shock about Elizabeth's death for weeks.

Jack pushed forwards to Will. "So, gonna tell us how immortal life is? How far in the future are ya anyway?"

Will sighed. "Immortal life isn't the worst part. It was that I only got to see Elizabeth eight more times before..." he stole a glance at her. "Before I was forever alone."

"How old, Will, how old?"

"Ninety-three." He answered softly, watching as Elizabeth's eyes filled with tears.

"Oh, Will." Elizabeth wrapped her arms around her husband, who slowly returned the hug. Jack stood there, eyes wide.

Elizabeth stepped back, eyes fierce.

"I can't lose you, Will. I won't lose you." The pirate king turned to Jack. "We're both going to save you, no matter what."

Jack nodded. "Immortal Will Turner definitely doesn't sound as amazing as Immortal Jack Sparrow. Looks like we're saving you, mate."

Right. If anyone wants to finish this, go ahead. This is where I'm finishing it off. Savvy?
