DPOV

I walked into the hallway and it seemed normal until I came to a black door. It was a normal door except black, and I felt the air around the door get sinister and that is the only way to explain it. The same air around Bella's cousin except it was the strongest I've felt it in the house. I looked down at the handle and turned it, there were stairs, they were cement and wet looking; and it smelled like human blood. The only light source was fire torches on the wall that weren't light but from what I could see from the light that came in when I opened the door. I searched through my pockets to see if I had a lighter or matches and I didn't. I closed the door and ran back to kitchen and started searching through Bella's kitchen draws to see if she had any matches or lighters in there. She didn't of course so I ran through the door that took me to her living room and to her fireplace where I moved some candles and found a bright purple Bic lighter.

"Yes!" I shouted. Then quieted down to hear if Bella was awake and I heard her still sleeping so I ran back down to the black door with lighter in my hand and stopped at the door. I took a breath that wasn't needed and re-opened the door, still dark and human blood smell. I pushed on the Bic lighter and hold it to one of the torches, it lit up pretty quickly and I did it to the other side too. I slide the lighter in my back pocket and very carefully picked up one of the torches. I held it too the steps and saw that the steps weren't wet with human blood but it looked like water, but I wasn't gonna touch it to find out. I started down the stairs and kept lighting the other torches on the cement wall that looked wet like the steps. The smell of human blood kept getting stronger as I walked down the steps. It felt like forever before I reached the last step that led to a short hallway before it opened up to a room with black water in it.

The smell of human blood was a smack in the face. I mean I live on the stuff and I like the smell of it but this was like sour human blood smell. I didn't like it but I walked further in the room and crouched down to the black water, that I realized wasn't water but blood. It was as black as the blackest thing I've ever seen in my vampire life. I got up and looked around, there five pools of the black blood. Walkways all around them and another door behind the first pool. It was black as the blood and the sinister feel of the air was smothering me like when you're done being sick and you stop getting the chills and you wake up under all those blankets you piled on you. It wasn't a particular good feeling, but I pushed through it and walked around the first pool of blood and stood in front of the door.

"Might as well go all the way." I muttered.

I opened the door and it was another hallway with torches. I lit the torches as I walked down the hallway, unlike the one before it, it started slanting downward and I could feel it getting colder but it didn't bother me. It finally led me to a door that was a gate. I pushed it open and was surprised that it didn't creak loudly since it looks like it hasn't been used in years. I kept walking till I hit another opening where this time it was just a cement room with just a single mirror in it. It was to the floor and mounted to the wall by the looks of it. It had black trim that had a language in it that I never seen before in my life. At the top was ruby that was huge. It was in an oval shape. The sinister air was centered right here in this room, I looked around again and ran out. I slammed the gate door behind me ran up the stairs then into the blood room and slammed that door behind me and ran up the final stair case and stopped to put the torch back and to the top of the stairs. I looked behind saw mothing but darkness since the wind from me running blew out all torches and closed the door behind me. I took a deep breath and ran up to the kitchen then back to Bella's room where she was still asleep. I looked at the time to see it was only 9:54 am. I took a deep breath and took my shoes off and sat next to Bella waiting for her to wake up to ask her what hell was in her basement.
