Slayer: We are back to advance the story.

Shadow: Finally…

Judan: You know, maybe we should finish the stories that don't have sequels first. Just too… you know, even out the workload?

Slayer: Actually that might be for the best. This is why we're talking about it in this Author's section!

Shadow: So yeah as you may have guessed already after this round of chapters. We'll be focusing primarily on The Void Emperor and the Black dragon and white cat stories. Which is sad for me, since I'm involved in this set of stories! I don't want to disappear! WAHH!

Mizore: Can you shut him up?

Slayer: Sure!~ (Whack)

Shadow: ARGH!

Mizore: Thank you.

Judan: Alright then! This has gone on amazingly well. But here is something even more amazing! A new character has appeared! But who it is will be a secret.

Outsider: Also some characters from other books… But that is only slightly consequential.

Mizore: When did you get here?

Outsider: That kind of depends since… well I am me after all. I can be anywhere I want.

Judan: That's true… Anyways! Shadow do the disclaimer!

Shadow: Ugh…

Judan: Oh yeah… Uh… Outsider do the disclaimer!

Outsider: Why not? We here at the Dark Guard productions own nothing but OC's and reality building concepts. Everything else belongs to their respective owners. Now without further ado…

Everyone/Minus Shadow: Here's the story!

Shadow: Medic…

Judan: Aren't you the medic?

Chapter Eleven: A new friend… Maybe…

The Void Walker

A few days after the academy incident.

So yeah three days have passed by since we've all said goodbye, and moved into my now named beast palace. So far everyone had claimed a room, and were settling in nicely. However today was worth mentioning because of a certain visitor.

"So let me get this straight… you want me to accompany you to a meeting of the "gods"? Now why on earth would I want to do that my lord?" Standing together with me in the void was my patron the Outsider. But man the bomb shell he just gave me was huge. As I already said he came to get me to go with him, to one of his annual meetings. Apparently a lot of different gods were going to be there, and they were all going to bring an assistant of sorts.

"Yes that's right, but don't worry you'll just be there as a formality. You won't have to really do anything but keep notes on the others reports. Not to mention this will be a very important meeting. After all Neos was recently attacked by our enemies." I was shocked when I heard that, I mean it had only been three days since the last I saw him.

"When was he attacked? Is he alright?"

Placing his arms behind his back he answered me. "He's alright now, but he was attacked by Jauk Trivens Guns. Jauk was able to defeat him because of a device, that sealed off Neos' draconic powers. Also during the fight Neos lost his right eye. But don't worry Maxos managed to implant a new eye. Although it was a risky gambol considering who the eye originally belonged to.

"Who was the original owner?" He hesitated before answering me.

"Sorry but I can't say, at least not yet. Not until Neos masters this new eye. But anyway what do you say about joining me?" Thinking I decided why not? It didn't seem like such a bad idea, and who knows?! It might be interesting meeting other extremely powerful beings. Plus if this did involve our enemies, I'll need as much information as I could get my hands on.

So smiling slightly I nodded my head in agreement. "Yeah I'll go after all I'll need as much info as I can get later. Plus who knows it might be interesting!" Little did I know I would eat those words halfway through the meeting.

Two weeks later

Waking up as my dreaded alarm went off, I stretched while yawning. It was another day, a new day, a day where…

Ah the heck with it! It had already been two weeks since the destruction of the school. And to be honest… I was becoming slightly more cynical than usual. Mostly because everyone insisted, on becoming strong enough to help me in a fight. Now don't get me wrong! I'm perfectly fine with that, happy even! However… they had forbid me from trying to act out on my own. Well three people in general that is… The first is Shirone Infinium my adorable adopted sister, and the other Mizore Shirayuki my beautiful girlfriend.

Now surprisingly Ms. Nekonome was the third. Who knew the three of them could be so convincing? And by convincing… I mean threating me with tearful waterworks, and a whole multitude of other things. Still I had to at least admit that they did indeed have a point. Especially when the outsider told me what happened to Bladedancer. I ended up not telling anyone else about that yet though. I didn't need them to worry about him, especially Shirone. She was after all the most attached to him. Though to be honest I have no idea why.

Still he's fine now and is running around with a new implanted eye. What kind of eye it is the Outsider has yet to tell me, which suggests that it is extremely dangerous. But if anyone can use something like that, it'd be him. On a side note the "god" meeting was interesting... A lot of people were there it was just kind of awkward for me. There were also a multitude of others who were there for the same reason I was. Well mostly… I mean, I was the only one there for actual information.

Yep just assistants and their so called gods… Although why Maxos was there I'll have no idea. I also met Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt and her lieutenant huntress. Her name was Thalia, and I truly hate her! She kept glaring at me during the whole meeting. Then when Modaga the god of chaos angered Maxos, enough so the Broodknight would actually attack him… she actually confronted me during the confusion.

She ended up attacking me, so naturally I easily knocked her out. However… Artemis didn't really like that and quickly beat the stuffing out of me. Needless to say that meeting was a failure on many, many, many levels…

"Mmm…" Feeling some movement to my right, I then remembered another development that I wasn't quite used to. Stirring awake on the bed was Mizore. Which means yes, Mizore really did decide to sleep in my bed from now on. Of course we haven't done anything, but still… I wasn't exactly used to these kinds of things.

Well that's an understatement…

Hey who asked you?!

I think it doesn't matter who asked me. You have a cute girl in your bed and you should just… She was quickly interrupted by the more innocent Masamune.

'NERO! You shouldn't say things like that! We're definitely not old enough to be thinking of such things!'

Depends on your point of view. But I guess yours thoughts are understandable… for a child.

'I am not a child you, you… dairy cow!' At both unwarranted comments they both started fighting. This was lucky for me, since that allowed me to focus on the now awakened Mizore. Yawning she sat up while stretching out her back. Then she quickly rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. She must have felt my eyes on her, because she turned to look at me with a smile.

Smiling back I greeted her for the day. "Good morning did you sleep well?" Still smiling she answered me.

"I'll be honest I have an easier time falling asleep with you, than I did on my own. So yeah!~ I slept wonderfully.~" I couldn't help but blush at her comment and the way she said it. Noticing my reddened face she giggled, before wrapping her arms around me and kissing my cheek. I couldn't help but rub my head sheepishly after that. Because as I said I still wasn't used to signs of affection. It was easier with Shirone since she was a small girl, and also my adopted sister. But Mizore was just a bit different.

"Am I interrupting something?" Both jolting in surprise we both jumped up, and held an icicle and a lightning bolt in our hands. Well each of us respectively of course… Looking at our intruder I sighed while letting my bolt of electricity dissipate.

I then spoke to him. "What are you doing in here my lord?" Blinking Mizore looked at me, and then back to the Outsider. Not that I blamed her, this was the first time she saw him in person.

Smiling at the both of us he spoke. "Well to be perfectly honest I have received a job offer for you. Although I don't know if you'll want to accept the offer." My brow rose slightly at this, this was after all the first time someone's gone through my patron to hire me. I had to admit I was interested so I just motioned for him to continue.

Nodding his head he became serious. "Just so you know this job will involve you fighting the enemy. You see the person who contacted me said, their main enemy was being aided by ours. As such it kind of falls under our jurisdiction to deal with the problem, you know purely out of principle." I had to admit that he was kind of right when he said that. But in the end it was still my choice whether or not, to deal with the issue.

Still I needed to know who asked for our help. "Now while that is all well and good… who exactly contacted you?" Quickly his face became slightly nervous. Which only sent off alarms in my head, because if he's nervous… then I'm nervous.

After a few moments he answered me. "Well… you're not going to like this… but it was Artemis, you know Greek goddess of the hunt?" I could only stare at him while me, and my tenants thought his words over.

Okay mind meeting!

'Masamune is present!'

Nero is also present!

Okay should we accept this job from the person who beat the snot out of us? Which she had no clear reason for. Or! Should we be the nice guys and help out?

I say let them rot!

'No! We should help them! We are the heroes after all!

Okay firstly we aren't heroes.

'Yes we are we save people all the time! That makes us heroes!'

Please don't interrupt me.

'Sorry.'

Plus we're just very unfortunate souls. As for the other hand of this scenario on why we should go… because it might just be what we need, to push us over the edge. We've been an S+ for too long in my opinion. We need to make it to SS as soon as possible. Especially if we're going to have to go up against Gun-meister's boss.

When you put it like that… then we should actually go… especially since there's no doubt that he's at least SS if not greater.

'Pfft! Let's just go to help people!'

But most people suck.

I second that notion.

'Muu… Let's just go!' So with that it was decided.

"Okay… as much as I don't want to… I probably should go and help out. But where exactly should I go to help them?" Smiling at my answer, the outsider stuck his left hand out and my mark glowed for a bit. Sensing my up and coming question he spoke.

"Do not worry; I just transferred everything you need to know. To you, but I also gave you a new power, please enjoy it." He then leaned forward a bit before continuing to speak. "I'll be waiting to see what you do with it." He then stood straight up. "Also I got a new… partner for you, he'll meet up with you over at the… He'll just find you." Frowning at his words, I and the others quickly searched through my mind.

It only took a few seconds but when we found the new information, I couldn't help but develop a feral grin on my face. My new power was indeed interesting… but this thing about a partner worried me.

"Not that I don't mind the upgrade, but who exactly is my partner?" He didn't say anything, instead he gave me a pitying look before disappearing. I truly felt worried after that, I mean if the outsider's pitying you… then you know you're in hot water. Turning to Mizore I was about to talk to her, when I noticed her face was still one of shock. Not that I blamed her, I was kind of the same way during my first meeting with the Outsider. Well at least after I was done being healed.

So putting my hand on her right shoulder I shook her a bit. This caused her to quickly snap out of it. Looking at me she pouted as she saw my grinning face. Chuckling I kissed her forehead before getting up to get dressed. And of course my clothes consisted of, my hunters gear.

My, my, my! Are we new here? I'm the line break!

Me and Mizore had decided to tell everyone of the new development over breakfast. Said breakfast was provided by yours truly, as was usual of course. Mostly because everyone else but Kurumu, didn't really know how to cook. Oh well I liked to cook anyway, it was fun! Today I decided that fluffy pancakes, sausages, bacon, eggs, and orange juice, would be enough to give me the energy I needed today. Since today will more than likely be a really tiring day. But that goes without saying for pretty much all new worlds.

Yep I'm going off to a new dimension… again… yippee!...

Huh I wonder if this is how Neos feels all the time? Deciding to ask him that the next time I see him, I instead focused on getting everything ready. PS when I say fluffy pancakes, I really mean fluffy. I mean they are a centimeter thick with wonderful soft centers. (S/N While writing this I become sad… mostly because the recipe for these pancakes was lost when my great grandmother died.) (J/N Wow… that's too bad I wanted to try these.)

When I believed I had enough food ready I started setting the large circular table, and soon enough it was full of deliciousness.

What are you five?

Please just let me have this moment.

Luckily it wasn't a moment too soon either. Because as soon as I had the table set, the others started coming down stairs. First was Mizore, followed by Shirone. Then the others slowly trickled in. Nodding to everyone I pulled back both Mizore's and Shirone's chairs. Smiling to me they both sat down. You see all of us have a certain place we have chosen to sit down at.

For me I sat in between Mizore, who was on my right and Shirone on my left. Shizuka sat down on Shirone's left, followed by Gin, Kurumu, Moka, Tsukune, and then Yukari. This was strange because when everyone first sat down, I thought the girls would fight over who would sit next to Tsukune. Well… at least Moka, Kurumu, and Yukari. Instead everyone sat down like this without a fuss. Truly I wonder what I missed during my time unconscious. Seeing how everyone was here I decided to tell them what was up.

So clearing my throat I spoke up. "Alright everyone I have some news, whether it's good or bad is up to you." At my words everyone turned to me as I explained the situation, once done I waited to see what everyone's reactions would be. Unfortunately they were predictable…

First to speak up was our teacher. "No! I can't just let you go off to go get yourself hurt again! If you insist on going then you'll have to bring us along as well." There was a murmur of agreement, before Gin actually spoke up in my defense.

"Sorry but as much as I would like to agree with all of you I can't." Everyone quickly turned to Gin as he explained. "Now as much as I hate to admit this, but Hunter is a lot stronger than any of us. If you want proof just remember how useless we were in Outslan? Yeah we didn't do so hot in there." Kurumu spoke up at this point.

"Yeah we remember no need to remind us. But we've been training this whole time, so we should've gotten stronger right?"

Gin shook his head before answering. "Stronger yes, strong enough no. In order to even be able to help we need to be S+ in monster rank. This is something we aren't, at least not yet. Besides Hunter is slowly approaching the rank, very few Yokai have ever obtained. Which is SS, no doubt Neos was SS or very, very close to it." It was at this point that I really wanted to tell them what happened. In fact…

You know what… I think I should tell them.

'Right now?'

Yes that way they'll be distracted by the news, allowing me enough time to escape in the ensuing confusion.

That is despicably evil… let's do it!

So acting nervous I cleared my throat before speaking. "About Neos… He's more than likely already surpassed that threshold. Rather recently to…" Hearing the sound of my voice Shirone was the first to hound on me.

"Why are you saying it like that? Did something happen to Uncle?!" With her question everyone turned to me for an answer.

So taking a breath I answered my sister's question. "Unfortunately yes, you see he was recently attacked by the enemy. But he only lost thanks to a device, which sealed away his dragon abilities. However he still fought and during the battle lost his right eye." Seeing the look of horror on Shirone's face I quickly reassured her. "Don't worry he's fine now! His father Maxos gave him a new eye to replace his old one, and now he's much stronger than before. So yeah everything turned out okay." Though my words placated Shirone for the most part, she still looked worried.

It was at this point that I decided to make my escape. This wasn't hard considering I could teleport, so yeah for magical void powers.

In fact as soon as I did so, I heard some shouting from Kurumu. "HE's getting away!"

I then heard others getting up from their chairs as Shirone yelled out next. "Quickly after him!" I was already in mine and Mizore's room, moving quickly I grabbed Masamune, and put her inside my carrying case. Or well at least the physical sword part. Still moving quickly I grabbed my pistol, stocked up on bullets, and blood vials. Packing away the rest of my supplies I heard banging on the door. I decided that was my cue to leave, but to be honest I didn't like doing this. No… but I also needed to keep them safe until they were strong enough.

But back to my escape, you see our room was on the third floor of the house. It was twenty, by twenty feet in length and width. And the ceiling was elven feet from the floor. We had a king size bed with blue blankets and pillows, and two dressers for each of us. However the most important feature, in this instance was the window on the far side of the room. It was five by five and opened outwards, it also had a removable screen. In other words I was jumping out of it, after I opened it of course. However I paused as I heard the yelling start again.

Hearing Mizore's voice I grimaced. "If you leave without at least one of us, you will sleep on the couch when you come back MR!"

That's a pretty convincing argument, but by the void! Does she have to make it seem as if the two of you are married?!

'Weren't you complaining about him not having any action? Plus I think it's actually rather cute!~'

Not helping girls… Thinking quickly I sighed as I got rid of the ice blocking the door. As soon as I did, I had to side step as the door flown off its hinges. Luckily I was able to grab it as it went by, thereby preventing any more damage to my place of dwelling. Looking at the group gathered behind the now broken door, I sighed again. Because there standing in front of the now broken door was Shirone. Her leg was sticking out in a side kick. But at least to her credit she did seem a bit sheepish.

Deciding to address them with words I spoke. "Alright… if you want to come that badly that's fine." They were about to cheer before I held up my hand and continued speaking. "However… I can only take two people, and those who come will listen to my orders. So go ahead and find out who's coming along with me. But please make it quick."

Five hours later…

"I said make it quick!" Right now my irritation level was about eighty five out of a hundred. Mostly because it took them three hours to decide who was coming, and another two for said people to get ready. But to be honest I was kind of surprised at who they had chosen. One was Shirone who was chosen to keep an eye on me, and also get some fighting experience under my watchful eye. And the other was actually Tsukune, but only so he too could get some experience.

You see over the last two weeks I had decided to actually start training him. I ended up giving him a dirk, a MK.23 pistol, and also an 870mcs shotgun, one that could shrink for easier concealment. Basically the idea was to set him up with fire power, since he was a normal human. Well mostly normal… but the bullets and shells he used were both magically enhanced. I would've given him some quick silver but… well he didn't have the necessary properties to use them effectively.

On top of that, we had also told everyone that he was indeed a human. We also explained why he was at Youkai to begin with. Excluding the way his dad picked up the schools registration papers that is. There wasn't a need to tell anyone about that just yet… As for Shirone I decided that a wakizashi would help fit her battle style. You know just a short useable sword for extra damage and reach.

As for what they were wearing, Shirone had decided to wear what she wore back in Outslan. She also had on a black skinny backpack that held supplies, clothes, and her weapon. As for Tsukune he surprised me a bit. He wore a unzipped high color brown leather jacket, along with a black undershirt. He also had on black boot, and he also was wearing dark blue jeans. On his back was also a brown shoulder bag, more which probably carried the same things as Shirone's. Also both were wearing the rings I had made. The rings were special, since they translated pretty much everything for them. Both when speaking, and when hearing.

Still they took forever and I was kind of frustrated by that. However seeing how I just couldn't bring myself to punish Shirone… I punished no one. Hey I can be fair if I want to be! Which goes to show I don't want to be most of the time… huh… okay forgetting that, we should just move on.

Turing around I made my way over to the teleport stone as the two followed me. We had already said our goodbyes, so we were all set and ready to go. All I had to do was put in the coordinates and we'd be off.

So turning to the others I spoke once last time. "Alright you two, this isn't going to be a walk in the park. Are you sure you want to come?" Both of them gave me determine nods, nods that I couldn't help but smile at. "Alright then! Let's get to it!" Turning back to the rock I touched it and quickly the dimensional, spatial, and worldly coordinates appeared on the stone. Then there was a bright light before we were gone.

My, my, my! Are we new here? I'm the line break!

It was an interesting trip I'd give it that, but eventually we made it to our destination. Or in other words New York in Manhattan. And already… I was feeling kind of sick, and I wasn't the only one! My poor adorable sister was also looking a bit ill. The reason being was that New York smelled. At least to us and our enhanced senses, because truly… it smelt terrible.

Trying to compose myself I spoke. "Why couldn't we meet in a forest or a city suburb?! This place reeks of cigarette smoke, car exhaust, and who knows what else?!"

"That's because this place is full of Chaos! And chaos is awesome!" All three of us froze when we heard the voice, of a very excited boy around our age. But I was also had a feeling of dread within me. Because, after all… he did say chaos was awesome. And there was only one person that I knew who spoke like that. So turning around I gave a breath of relief when I saw, that it wasn't Modaga true god of chaos.

Instead it was a guy who looked about fifteen. He wore a black and white pinstriped fedora, and also had on a thick pinstriped trenchcoat. He also had on black dress shoes, and wore black slacks. He also had on a white long sleeved dress shirt with the collar turned up. He also wore white leather gloves. As for his facial features, it was free from scaring, yet looked perpetually young. He also had long grey hair reaching just below his shoulders. His eyes were also pure yellow, not golden amber like Shirone's but pure yellow. He also had a smile on his face, but not one a normal person had. But a more insane like smile.

After taking in his appearance, he surprised us further by bowing. The he stood up, and twirled some black cane with a white diamond handle, out from his coat. Then tapping it on the ground he introduced himself.

"Hello new friends! I'm Judan Kunai, a disciple to the great god Modaga." I immediately understood why the Outsider acted the way he did. I also understood my feeling of dread I felt. Now listen it wasn't as if Modaga was a bad guy per say… but he was pretty much insane, and lived for making other people's lives hectic. Trust me… during the meeting he said something about turning an entire wasteland, into one giant battle royale.

Truly I felt pity for the post nuclear apocalypse Mojave. However despite all this I knew that he was our partner for this. So deciding to grin and bear it I introduce myself and the others.

"Well it's… nice to meet you Judan. I'm Hunter Infinium as you no doubt knew. But this guy next to me is Tsukune Aono, and this adorable girl is Shirone Infinium. My younger sister." Looking between all of us, his grin eventually grew as he tapped his cane on the ground. After that he turned around and motioned for us to follow him. Seeing no real reason not to, we ended up following him to some clothing store.

Looking at it curiously I decided to question him. "Alright I'll bite, what are we doing at some clothing store?" Looking at the sign it said Sal's and garments. Truly I didn't understand why someone would call a store that.

Pausing at the entrance he chuckled before speaking. "Well it isn't so much the store… as is what's underneath it. You dig?" Looking at him we could only blink as we followed him further. Inside we could see what we'd expect from some small clothing store. Still he led us to a door, and quickly told us to go through it. Complying we entered to see a set of stairs leading, to what I guessed was the basement. Following the stairs we made it to some storage area. It was filled with different clothes of all sorts, but we ignored that as we continued onwards. Eventually he led us to a wall where he started examining it.

He must have found what he wanted as he turned back to us with a grin. Looking to what his hand was next to was a shape. A type of ancient Greek triangle, or more specifically the Greek symbol Delta.

Still grinning at us he spoke. "Alright now, I hope all of you had packed a lunch. Because this is where our job begins, in the giant labyrinth designed by Daedalus." He then pressed his hand over the delta symbol. There was a brief sound of grinding, as an underground passageway opened up. "After you of course, after all you do have the best eyes." Rolling said eyes I made my way down, I was followed by Shirone, Tsukune, and then Judan who closed the door behind us.

Once inside I could say I with honesty that I was fairly impressed. The corridor of the labyrinth was huge, and looked absolutely flawless. Still despite the great stone architecture, I could feel something off about this place. As if the walls around us were alive, I'll be honest it unnerved me a bit. Still we had a job to do so I turned to question Judan again.

"Okay I can only assume you know what we're doing, and where to go?" At my words his grin grew before answering.

"What we're doing… yes, where to go… not so much. After all that's what your new power is for. You know your new void gaze power?" I blinked at him in confusion, because to be honest I'm not sure how that would help. Sure the void gaze allowed me to see through walls, see the direction someone's looking, and even see light from all sources. But finding my way through an unfamiliar maze? I don't think so…

Still he at least knew what we were supposed to do. "Alright ignoring my eyes for now, what exactly are we supposed to do?" Still smiling he took off his hat before pulling out a full sized notebook. This also confused both Shirone and Tsukune a lot. I on the other hand, had already expected strange things to happen around a disciple of Chaos. But he opened the first page before reading from it.

"Okay let's see, we're supposed to find Daedalus' workshop, commandeer all of his plans for inventions, take some strange sting thing, and also get all working inventions. On top of that, we're supposed to wait in there for an enemy agent to show up. Also as for your eyes just activate the void gaze, you'll understand right after." Frowning at the way he phrased everything I still did what he said. So closing my eyes and opening them, the world turned into shades of orange and yellow.

However as I looked around. I was surprised to see a bright golden light coming out of the floor. It was currently going straight, and I realized that was where we were supposed to head. So deactivating my eyes I turned to my companions.

"Alright I give, it seems like this will work." I then pointed in the direction we're supposed to go. "Okay to find the workshop we're supposed to head in that direction." Everyone nodded at my words, especially Judan. He also laughed and slapped me on the back.

"HAHAHA! Alright told you so! Now let's get a move on my minions!" I didn't even bother to say anything at this point; it would've been useless anyway.

I hate him… I could only mentally agree with Nero as we moved on, only stopping so I could check our path. As we walked through the multiple corridors, the only sounds we heard were our own footsteps. Along with the tapping sounds of Judan's cane. Still in a place like this it was possible to lose track of both time and distance. As we kept walking I began to let my mind wander…

Just how long have we been in here? Just how far have we walked? And just where were the terrible monsters, said to inhabit this place? To be honest that one worried me the most. Though it could just be left over paranoia from my time as a beast hunter. Still so far the paranoia had kept me alive, so sue me for keeping it around.

I would sue you but we inner spirits don't have lawyers.

Really? You're cracking law jokes now?

Sorry but this is kind of boring.

'I have to agree with her on this one Hunter.' Our conversation on lawyers was interrupted, as we heard the sound of people talking. Raising my hand up everyone came to a stop behind me. Closing my eyes so I could focus on the voices I listened.

One of the voices sounded like a teenaged girl. "I-I know who you are." She sounded distressed, so as the multiple voices kept talking we inched ourselves forward.

As we approached another voice, an older male spoke. "Oh you're a smart one! But do you know which way to choose? I don't have all day."

The girl quickly spoke after that. "Why are you trying to confuse me?" It was at this point that we managed to make it to the end of the corridor. Staying up against the wall, I looked into the large chamber it opened up into. The entire place was covered in mosaic tiles of ancient Roman design. They were grimy, cracked, and faded. But I could still see the colors; as such they were still able to depict a giant feast of some sort. And it looked like the ones at the feast were the Olympians. Although I couldn't quite be sure, seeing how I only met one of them.

But in the middle of the room were the ones talking. Although the person the girl was talking to was rather strange. He was tall, very tall. He also had two faces, each one coming out from two different sides of his head. It kind of reminded me of a hammer head to be honest. He was also wearing a black top hat, black dress shoes, and a black overcoat. He also had on black slacks, a white dress shirt, and a matching bowtie.

It took me a while but I finally recognized him for who he was. So steeling my nerves I decided to give the girl and her three companions a hand.

"You know you shouldn't pick on others smaller than you Janus." This of course startled everyone, and they quickly turned to me. However the one really scared was Janus, Greek god of Doorways, beginnings, endings, and choices. But I didn't really blame him… he took one look at me and he knew what I was, and what I could do to him. After all my abilities allowed me to actually kill gods.

So trying to sound tough but still stammering he spoke. "Wha-What are you doing he-here voidwalker? Thi-this isn't the Outsiders jurisdiction!" I chuckled as I looked towards those I was helping. The girl from earlier looked like a tall Californian girl, with blond hair and tan skin. However her eyes were grey instead of blue. She was also wearing Jeans, an orange t-shirt, sneakers, and a backpack. The rest were guys, one had curly brown hair that showed from underneath a red cap. He also had blue eye which darted around nervously.

He also had a goatee; he two wore the orange shirt that had camp half-blood on it. Along with sneakers, and a regular pair of jeans. Although something seemed off about him. He seemed to be the oldest out of the group. Then there was a another boy with messy brown hair, and pretty much wore what the others were wearing. But his eyes were a sea green. However what surprised me was the amount of determination in them.

Then there was the last guy… First off he was tall, about seven feet almost. However what was strange was that he only had a single eye. Right in between where two should be. It was also a soft brown in color; quickly I deduced that he was a cyclops. However like the others, he also wore an orange shirt, he also had some kind of flannel shirt over it. Although it and his jeans were tattered. Having finished my inspection of the four rookies, I turned back to the two face god.

I also decided to scare him a bit. "You know I'm surprised Janus… Picking on a bunch of kids like this, how can you ever feel good about yourself? Maybe I should take their place?" Janus started sweating as he backed up. The right face gave a nervous chuckle before waving his large hands in front of himself.

"Oh no! There's no need for that Mr. Voidwalker! I was… I was just having a bit of fun that's all." However what his left face said contradicted that.

"No we weren't we were trying to trick her." The right face quickly yelled at his left.

"Shut up you idiot!"

"But it's true!"

"Doesn't mean we have to tell the Voidwalker, now shut up!" It was at this point, that I realized… I could've had it a lot worse when it came to voices in my head. Sighing I produced my sword case and opened it up. Then tying Masamune to my right side, I drew her and pointed at the so called "god". Seeing the blade both faces shut up as I threatened them.

"Alright if you two don't shut up now and leave… Them I'm afraid I'm going to have to force you." Both faces tried to nod, but sharing only one neck made it almost impossible. Still they quickly disappeared, which I'll admit disappointed me a bit. I've never had a chance to kill, and absorb a god's powerful blood after all. Even if Janus was a minor god, it would still give me a boost. However now with the situation over with, I turned to ones Janus was originally bothering.

So sheathing Masamune I spoke. "So that was an interesting situation, what did you guys do to get him to bother you?" At my question the girl, instead of answering narrowed her eyes at me before speaking.

"Sorry but I think we should be the ones asking the questions here. So first off who are you? What are you doing here? And why did Janus run from you?" Looking at her blankly I turned to Judan who only shrugged. So turning back to the girl who thought she was in charge, I spoke with a little bit of anger.

"Okay first of all don't order me around, second I don't have to answer you, and thirdly nothing that concerns you." While this unsurprisingly made her angry, Judan started laughing which made the girl even angrier. However even the sea eyed kid looked a bit mad at this. However the one with the goatee just looked at us nervously before speaking.

"Hey Percy, Annabeth maybe we shouldn't mess with them. Janus did run away from him scared, so there must be a reason behind that."

I folded my arms and nodded my head at his words before speaking. "The smart man has a point, and besides I don't think you amateurs could defeat me in a battle." Okay so maybe I shouldn't have said that last part. But they were starting to get on my nerves. But based on the looks that overcame both the now named Percy, and Annabeth the same could be said about me to them. But then again… it wasn't like I particularly cared. Besides if they ended up attacking me, it would only take me a moment to knock them flat.

But as the tension grew Shirone's voice cut through it like a knife. "Onii Chan please stop, we didn't come here to fight them." Her words quickly drew everyone's attention, but Judan's voice easily stole it.

"BAH! Screw that let's just get down to an old fashioned brawl! Just to you know? Make everything just a bit more chaotic and interesting! All hail CHAOS!" We all just stared at him for a moment, before I turned back to the four in front of me.

"Ignoring Judan and him raving like a madman." This was an indignant HEY! From said madman but I continued anyway. "My adorable little sister has a point; we didn't come here to bother you, and you didn't come to bother us. So let's go our separate ways, and see each other never." Unfortunately my words didn't have my intended effect. Instead they developed stronger looks of determination, while Percy got out a pen and uncapped it. Instantly the pen turned into a three foot long, bronze double edged sword. It also had an inscription on it but I couldn't read it. The blade was also giving off a faint glow to it.

Then Annabeth got out a curved one edged dagger. Watching them with some interest, I just waited to see what they'd do next. Personally at this point, I was just looking for an excuse to put them in their place.

That was when Annabeth spoke. "Listen there is only a few reasons why you'd ever be down here. One is just plain exploring, which is highly unlikely considering where we are. The second is that you're trying to get somewhere by coming down here. Third you're trying to find Daedalus' workshop. I personally think that it's the last option. Unfortunately we are also trying to find the workshop. But only to save our camp, but the question is what are you trying to find it for?"

Now while I was impressed by how she was able to deduce why we were down there. I wasn't typically floored by it; I mean why else would anyone want to come here? Still there was an air of arrogance around her that ticked me off. It was if she thought she was smarter than anyone else. She also felt similar to Thalia in that she thought she was in the right.

So sighing I turned around and gave an apologetic look to Shirone. Although it was just with my eyes, she understood and gave me a sad smile. So turning back to the four in front of me, I sent a harsh glare at them before speaking myself.

"Why is it that everywhere I go, there always has to be that one person who is so self-righteous? Really it's starting to piss me off!" Unconsciously I let off some electricity from my body, causing the four to take an unconscious step back. However I wasn't done talking. "The fact that you think you have the right to question me, to order me around even? That just makes me angry. In fact you remind me of that one blonde so called "huntress" who attacked me a bit of go."

At my words Percy, Annabeth, and the sensible older looking guy's eyes widened in surprise. Which of course confused me, especially when Percy spoke.

"This blonde huntress… was her name Thalia perhaps?" I blinked while in confusion before answering.

"Yes… her name was Thalia, she tried attacking me which didn't work out so well. Knocked her out within a second why, do you know her?" It might've been best that I didn't mention knocking her out. Because that was when their faces became rather livid. They also took up battle stances while Annabeth answered my question.

"Yes we know her… she's our friend!" All I did was make an ahh sound, which in turn set them off. Now while I knew that they probably weren't like this normally… both being in the labyrinth, and talking to Janus probably put them on edge. Not to mention the subtle aura of chaos, Judan was given off. Also my callous words probably didn't help their attitude any either. So while Percy charged me, I just waited before he was three meters away. It was then that I struck at what must've been to them, lightning speed.

I didn't even bother using Masamune, seeing how that would be overkill against these amateurs. Still I made my way behind Percy, and used my left hand to chop the back of his neck. He was out like a light in under a second. His companions didn't even register what had happened, until he slumped to the ground. It was here that things became a bit more interesting.

"Brother!" Following the sound of the voice, I raised my brow as I discovered that it came from the cyclops. Still I decided to think about this later, as said cyclops came running at me with a metal club. As he brought it down upon my head, I just stuck out my right hand and caught it. It had quite a bit of strength behind it, but it paled in contrast to inner Moka's, and to another extent didn't even register to mine. Still my action caught both him, and his still awake friends by complete surprise.

So fanning the flames a bit I spoke in a taunting voice. "Sorry big guy, better luck next time." Then pulling down on his club I kneed him in the stomach. This caused him to double over in pain. Falling to his knees he let go of his club, as he wrapped both arms around his stomach. It was then that I felt some danger, so quickly jumping back I narrowed my eyes as I saw nothing. Or more specifically I didn't see the blonde haired girl anywhere. Having dealt with things like this before, it didn't take me long to realize that Annabeth had gone invisible.

So deciding to try out something different, I activated my void gaze. Truly I couldn't let an unseen smirk form on my face. Because with these eyes… I could see everything, including the invisible blonde. So I could only imagine her surprise, when I struck out with my left hand, and grabbed the blade between my middle and index fingers.

Her voice certainly reflected this. "How?" I didn't bother answering. I just easily took the knife from her, and then proceeded to send a right handed palm thrust to her chest. Flying back from the blow, a baseball cap fell off of her head. It was then that she became visible again, seeing this I realized that it was the hat that turned her invisible. Moving over to it, I picked it up and gave it the once over. My suspicions were quickly confirmed. There was some powerful enchantments on the hat. Now normally I would love to take it with me to study. But in this instance it would be stealing, well… truly stealing that is…

Is taking things from people who have become mindless beasts… considered stealing?

Go and ask a lawyer. You know the one which we inner spirits don't have.

Wow you're still going on about those law jokes… I don't know whether to be impressed of slightly ashamed.

'Is there a way that we can be both?' Both me and Nero just felt confusion for a bit at that statement.

Uhh… Masamune I don't think things work like that…

'And why not?! I think it'll make things a lot more easier!~' It was at this point that I decided to refocus on the task at hand. But seeing how the last person I had to deal with was shaking in his sneakers, I just gave a sigh. Then turning towards Annabeth, whom was using her right hand to stand up, I tossed her knife. I was right on target as it landed right next to her left hand. Startled she froze, but then hesitantly she looked up into my uncaring eyes.

Turning back to the others I spoke to them. "Alright then… Sorry about the delay, but it seems you got your wish of a brawl Judan." He just gave me a double thumbs up before I continued speaking. "But seeing how our little pest problem has been dealt with. We should get moving now." When finished I turned back to Annabeth before speaking directly to her. "Now I hope you've learned your lesson here, if not I don't really care. We're busy you're busy, so I'll just leave you with this…" I then took a deep breath before speaking in an icy tone. "Get in my way again and I promise next time I won't be so lenient."

I accepted the shaky nod that followed as a yes. Nodding myself I walked off towards the direction I saw the light heading. When we were out of sight, and hearing range I turned around and walked up to Judan. Everyone was surprised when I grabbed his collar. Tsukune was about to say something but stopped, I could tell he knew I was in no mood for it.

So looking at Judan with controlled fury I spoke. "What did you think you were doing back there?!" He had the gall to smirk before answering.

"Oh I'm sure you know exactly what I did Hunter. Besides… it was all in good fun."

Growling I gripped him tighter before speaking again, this time with more venom. "Judan you caused those kids to attack me. Now forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that's "fun". So tell me where you get off using your powers to influence them?" He gave me a strange confused look before answering.

"Uh… I'm the disciple of the god of chaos Modaga… what else do you expect from me?" I blinked at his answer before letting him go and continued walking. Because truly… what else could I say to that? He was literally a walking chaos machine. It was practically in his job description to cause chaos! Well at least in situations that didn't really matter. Sensing my distress Shirone ran up to my right and took hold of my hand. Looking down at her I couldn't help but smile, which she returned with her own. So looking forward I led us deeper into the maze.

Story Omake: Three

The adventures of Shirone Infinium

Part Three.

(This is an alternate non-canon series of shorts that take place six years in the future. Note that this will have no impact on the actual story. These will be at least 800 and at most 1400 words. So without further ado let's start.)

The Crimson princess

I rubbed my temples are I felt a headache coming on. What Issei just told me had brought up way to many questions. Like why was there a clone of my adorable rook running around? Why did this girl have Koneko's original name? But more importantly… who was this brother the girl talked about? That was the biggest question. I mean by the looks of things he was extremely powerful. Still based on what Issei said she was currently at the church… the same place where the fallen angels were staying. I actually slapped and lectured him, about approaching the church in the first place.

Still thanks to him I now have an excuse to investigate now. Normally I wouldn't risk it seeing how the treaty, between the three biblical factions was shaky at best. Still if there was an exact look alike of a member of my peerage running around… then I had the perfect excuse to look into it. Little did I know… I'd bitten off more than I could chew, with that thought. Still looking up from my desk, to the my confused peerage members I spoke.

"Alright it seems that this warrants further investigation.

The White Cat

I stared blankly at the four fallen angels that had decided to surround me. It was right after I set foot into the church, Asia was going to hold true to her promise about tea. But then these unimportant people decided to show up around me. There was one who looked like a middle-aged gentleman with short black hair and dark blue eyes. His outfit consisted of a pale violet trenchcoat over a white dress shirt with a matching ascot, black pants and shoes, and a black fedora.

The rest for some reason were all girls. And two of them kind of ticked me off, in the sense that their chests were huge. However the last one looked at me with an appraising look. I did the same, she had blonde hair styled into twin tails and blue eyes. She wore a Gothic Lolita attire, which consisted of a black Lolita dress with white frills, a large black bow on the front, and a green jewel embedded on the collar, white thigh-high socks, and black shoes. She also wore a large black bow on top of her hair. Another thing was that she was as short and flat as I was. It only took a second but we both glanced at the two other women.

We then looked back to each other before giving one another, a nod of understanding. When then walked towards each other before shaking hands. Thoroughly confusing everyone in the room.

"Mittelt what are you doing?" Looking over I observed the one who spoke. She was a tall and buxom woman with long, navy blue hair that obscured her right eye and brown eyes. Her outfit consisted of a violet, trenchcoat-like top with a wide collar, a matching miniskirt, and black heeled shoes. The trenchcoat top was open at her chest, giving view to her breasts and cleavage. She also wore a gold necklace around her neck.

Turning around Mittelt spoke to her heatedly. "You'd never understand Kalawarner, even if I told you." Though she looked even more confused, there was a slight cough coming from the last member that diverted her attention.

She had long black hair and purple eyes. Her outfit was if it could be called that… was mostly just leather straps barely covering her body, but she also wore long black gloves with spikes.

Having everyone's eyes on her she spoke. "Now that I have your attention I'd like to know what…" she looked over to me as she spoke. "Are you doing here? Also if I don't like your answer… well just hope that I like it." Mittelt sighed before talking to her.

"Raynare… now I know you won't like hearing this. But I can already tell that… um what's your name?" She glanced to me as I asked, and finding no reason not to I answered.

"Shirone Infinium, it's nice to meet you." Nodding her head Mittelt continued to speak.

"Nice to meet you to, I'm Mittelt." She then turned back to Raynare. "As I was saying, I can already tell that Shirone is stronger than all of us put together. So I would suggest that you don't provoke her." Raynare stared at me before scoffing.

I and Mittelt couldn't help but glare at her for her next words. "A short, flat, and small little girl like her stronger than me? Sorry but you obviously need to get your head out of the clouds?" Her words ended up in a questioning tone, as she saw both me and Mittelt's murderous glares. As if feeling what was to come, the man in the fedora quickly ran to the back of the church. It was same for Kalawarner, but Asia being as innocent as she was only cocked her head in confusion.

I might as well explain the incoming storm of rage. You see… if one's small, short, or even flat. You never call that out on them; it's like calling a fat guy well… fat. Plus with all the years of Onii Chans insanity rubbing off on me… well… let's say the what came next was inevitable.

"Short and flat chested are we?" My voice was so filled with malice that Raynare backed up a bit. "I'll show you SHORT!" And like that Raynare didn't know what happened, until she was looking up at my angry eyes. It was a minute later, with a battered and bruised Raynare that I stopped. Of course after that I realized what I did and started apologizing.

"AHH! I'm sorry! I think Onii Chan is rubbing off on me more than I thought! Or maybe this Judan's fault?" I paused after saying that. After all… Judan was a particular bane to everyone, especially with his powers over chaos. Now while Kalawarner, and the man I found out was named Dohnaseek looked fearful of me. Mittelt my new loli sister looked at me impressed. While Raynare just twitched on the ground, while Asia now tended to her.

After a bit I decided to ask Mittelt a few things. "Well okay now, may I ask what all of you are doing here? I mean this town is controlled by Rias Gremory." At my words she sighed before turning to look at Raynare.

"Well it's a bit complicated, but seeing your strength… I'll tell you if you promise to protect me from Raynare's anger." She turned back to me as I raised an eyebrow. However I eventually nodded my head, prompting a smile to form on her face as she spoke.

"Alright then, if you decide to help me. I swear I'll help you with anything in return. Now then it all started when we got orders from Azazel sama, he told us to observe Issei Hyoudou."

I couldn't help but scoff at that. "Issei Hyoudou? That weak looking pervert?" She giggled a bit before nodding her head.

"That's the one. Apparently he had some kind of powerful sacred gear. However a few weeks in, we received new orders telling us to kill him. I was skeptical, but Raynare went ahead and did it without calling in."

I couldn't help but cut in at this point. "You do realize Issei was turned into Gremory's pawn right?"

"What Issei San's a devil?!" We turned to Asia as we just now discovered, that she didn't know he was a devil. I honestly felt a little bad about her finding out like this. But as Onii Chan says… the more you know…

Looking at her I explained to her gently that he was indeed a devil. "Yes Asia san he was a devil, but that didn't mean that he was evil. He did help you find this church after all. Speaking of which…" I turned back to Mittelt as I continued. "What is she doing here in the first place?" Mittelt gave me a sheepish look before speaking.

"That's what I need your help with; you see Raynare has kind of gotten greedy. She's planning on taking Argento sans sacred gear for herself. So I need you to help protect me and her, while I contact headquarters. I need to ask some questions, and then report on what she's doing. Can you help with that?" Looking between Mittelt's pleading face and Asia's shocked one. There was only one answer that I could give.

"What do you need me to do?"

Judan: Wow! Who actually saw that coming?

Slayer: I'm happy that you enjoyed being put into a story. Although why you're like this is still something I have to question.

Judan: Because over the hundreds of scenarios we came up with… This one is the most interesting.

Percy: You forced Slayer to kick our buts!

Judan: Details, details! I'm now a powerful user of chaos under the direction of Modaga!

Modaga: That's right baby!

Artemis: This only goes to show that his influence affected the meeting severely. Whether it was on purpose or not.

Modaga: Sure… just blame the god of chaos! It wasn't like my best man Sheogorath wasn't there to!

Sheogorath: He's right! You can't just give him all the credit!

Slayer: Credit…

Shirone: Onii Chan… these people are really strange.

Outsider: No denying that little one.

Judan: Okay we're getting off topic here. So just to recap…

Shadow: Neos lost an eye but gained a new one, Hunter or Slayer went to a meeting with the Outsider, met Thalia and Artemis, and got the crap beat out of by an influenced goddess of the hunt. After that he got a job from said goddess to get rid of an enemy, then he met Judan, went into the labyrinth, met and threatened Janus, and then beat the crap out Percy and his gang. Sounds like a productive chapter.

Percy: I resent being beaten by someone who can take on gods…

Shadow: Well suck it up! Because if you fought me you'd be destroyed!

Percy: Ha! You've haven't done anything significant since TOTDG book one!

Shadow: You want to go?!

Slayer: No fighting! Besides we have to end this here. We've already made this Authors section longer than usual. So Shirone can you do the honors?

Shirone: Sure Onii Chan! Ahem… this has been a Dark Guard production now signing off!

Everyone: GoodBye!
