Chapter 13

His mind raced he had to get up Kagome needed him. 'Damn those bastards!' He thought. He knew this wasn't going to be easy these guys knew about demons and the one seemed to be more educated then anyone in Kagome's time. 'How is it possible? Those bullet things, something was added to them.' It wasn't like InuYasha to just sit and think of his next moves, but now was different. Never before did he encounter someone who could take him down so easily.

Slowly her eyes opened, but what she saw made her wish they were closed again. 'H-How can this be?' Kagome thought as she looked at her surroundings. She was chained to a wall by her legs. Her arms where tied together by some strange rope that seemed to be glowing. 'This place it looks like Naraku's castle.' Her thoughts were stopped when she heard footsteps coming closer.

"So I see you are finally awake miko. I've heard much about you and your friend InuYasha. In fact you could say I know you two like an old friend." Masaru laughed at his little joke.

Kagome froze, how could this guy know about InuYasha? Unless... "What did you do to Kei, if you hurt her I'll..."

"You'll what?" Marsaru asked, as he stepped into Kagome's view. "I didn't need your friend to tell me about you. I knew all about you and that half demon years before that girl was even born. You see Kagome I'm almost 500 years old I was born three years after the well closed."

Kagome's mind raced how was that possible? Was he Naraku's son, or maybe some weird demon that Naraku was reincarnated from? No that couldn't be right. "Well then who are you, how do you know me and InuYasha then?"

"Oh I never met you or InuYasha, but my father and mother spoke of you often. They told me how you and InuYasha journeyed together in search of a very powerful jewel. The jewel of four souls or as father called it the shikon jewel." Masaru chuckled as he thought of those days.

"How is it possible? You mean to tell me you're Miroku and Sango's son?" Kagome couldn't believe what she was hearing. "There's no way you're related to Miroku and Sango, they weren't heartless like you."

Masaru gave an evil chuckle at Kagome's words. "You would think that wouldn't you Kagome, but you forget the feudal era was a very harsh time. You see my parents died young I was only ten when a demon killed them. Of course my sisters were old enough to raise me, but it wasn't the same. The last thing my father said before he died was if only InuYasha would've been here."

Kagome felt terrible, her friends had died such a terrible death. "I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how you must've felt." Kagome bowed her head as a tear rolled down her cheek.

Masaru started to laugh again. "Ah yes tears, sadness. I felt all of those things. And then anger, I started thinking about what my father said before he died. He said in his last breath if only InuYasha would have been here. The more I thought about that the more I hated you both. My anger towards InuYasha and you grew. So I vowed to find InuYasha and kill him. I have become more then just some weak human too. I am skilled in many ways you should know that very well Kagome. And the day I merged with a powerful demon I became even stronger."

Kagome gasped! "How could you? Your mother and father were my best friends. All you did was disgrace them by acting like this."

Masaru's eyes started to glow red at Kagome's words. "The only one who is a disgrace is you and that half demon InuYasha. I blame you both for my parent's death. If InuYasha would've stayed in his time my parents would've lived. And now that InuYasha is dead it's your turn to suffer."

Kagome pulled on her binds trying to get free. "You'll never get away with this you monster."

Masaru smiled and snapped his fingers. The ropes around Kagome's wrists started to glow. Her powers began to flow from her hands and into a bottle sitting on a table. "You're wrong Kagome once I drain you of your power, you'll be nothing more then a empty body."

Her eyes felt heavy and her body was getting weaker. 'InuYasha please hurry...' Kagome thought before passing out.

"So now what?" Takehiko asked, as he enter the room.

Masaru didn't say anything at first. "Now Takehiko we finish this. You gave the other girl to your boss right?"

Takehiko started grumbling. "Yeah, that damn idiot he wouldn't let me have any fun with her first. What about this Kagome girl, any chance I'll be able to have some fun with her?"

"You do have a serious problem Takehiko, but you can have this girl once I'm finished." Masaru tapped the glass bottle. Once I'm finished do as you wish."

With his demon powers fully back and his armor on, well armor that he figured might work. InuYasha then waited till the sunset before heading out. "I hope I'm not to late and I really hope this armor works." He said leaping from roof to roof. He soon came to the end of the city limits a huge building stood. 'This is were the scent stops it's a good thing I remembered those bastard's smell.' InuYasha thought to himself.

Carefully he entered the building and soon his nose smelled Kagome, but Masaru and Takehiko scent was mixed with hers. He was quiet as a mouse but he forgot one thing. "Takehiko we have company." Masaru said picking up a scroll.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Takehiko cursed.

Masaru threw the gun to Takehiko. "The demon he lives, I can senses his demonic ora. Now this time it ends. Soon I'll have the power to kill him. And I'll use the miko's power to do it." Masaru half laughed at his words. Takehiko on the other hand was starting to think this monk was crazy.

As InuYasha and the two crazy men came closer. Kagome struggled to stay positive. Her powers and her soul were being pulled from her body. The glass bottle glowed with her powers. Her mind started to go blank but here heart called out to his.

Neither InuYasha or Kagome had any clue that soon a new jewel would be created, only this jewel was different. This jewel was being made from priestesses that Masaru had encountered throughout his long life. And now that he finally had the most powerful priestess's powers the jewel he longed to complete would soon be created.
