A/N: Sorry I'm so late with this. I'm sure most of my followers for this story have given up on this. If so it's okay, I'd be tired of waiting too. So here it is for those who have waited. I just hope it was worth the wait.

Chapter 14

He walked slowly through the dark hallway. The place looked like dungeon or some kind of old castle on the inside. With his nose and ears focused on not only Kagome, but the two men who took her. InuYasha stayed as calm as he could. He needed to be very careful, these weren't your everyday bad guys out for fun. No these guys were skilled in magic and knew of demons. 'How can these guys know about me anyway?' InuYasha thought, as he walked. His hand was ready on the hilt of Tetsusaiga. InuYasha didn't kill humans, but if he had to with these guys he would.

"So InuYasha, come to save your precious Kagome. To bad she's almost gone." Masaru Said with a chuckle.

It was so dark InuYasha could barely see anything in front of him. Still he walked as Masaru spoke and touted him. 'If I can hardly see surely they can't see very well either.' He thought, as he continued on. He knew what they were trying. They wanted him to speak than they'd know where he was in the dark. His eyes were different from a normal humans eyes, so he could see some. "Come, come InuYasha, don't you want to save her? There's no point in walking in the dark. After all I can see you very well from here."

InuYasha froze. His mind was totally confused now. 'He can see me? And I can barely see my clawed hand in front of me.' He looked to his upper right to see a reddish glow of two eyes. It was then he realized. "Why you, you're a demon or half I should say. Just what the hell are you doing in this time period?"

Masaru chuckled. "I should ask you that very same question half demon. Or should I say InuYasha."

InuYasha gave a small growl at the mention of his name. "I don't know who you are or why you're here, but when I'm done with you, you'll wish you never met me." InuYasha pulled his sword from its sheath. The Tetsusaiga flared to life at its masters command. It to was ready to fight to protect not only InuYasha, but Kagome.

"Ah, the mighty Tetsusaiga. I've heard many stories of its beauty and incredible powers. I just wonder if once I defeat you I'll be able to learn its powers?" Masaru smiled as he thought of having two strong powers in hand.

"Keh, you wish. You'll never win and you'll never take the Tetsusaiga. I'm the only one who can use it. So prepare to die." He raised his sword over his head and called out his attack. "Wind scar!" The bright claw like marks traveled along their path, but missed the target.

Just before the attack could touch Masaru, he put up a barrier. "Very nice indeed, that was quite a show InuYasha. So what's next oh I know the red Tetsusaiga so you can break my barrier? Or maybe Meido Zangetushi?" Oh yes InuYasha I know them all."

InuYasha growled, he was getting annoyed now. "Big deal so you can read my mind or something. You might know my attacks but not my moves." He was about to make a jump attack when bright lights blinded him. "Dammit!" He shielded his eyes with his clawed hand doing his best to see in the blinding light. Soon thick black smoke filled the area. InuYasha wasn't ready for this though. His vision started to blur and he felt light headed. 'I need...to get away..' He thought, covering his nose with his sleeve. The smoke was stronger then Naraku's miasma, but still he fought to find relief.

"Give up InuYasha, why fight a losing battle?" Masaru, smiled to himself. He was going to win this battle. He knew the half demon's weekness. His nose was very powerful and with this kind of smoke and poison mix. Well let's just say it was more then any dog or hanyou could handle.

InuYasha knew there was only one thing he could do at this point. He lifted Tetsusaiga with all he had and released the wind scar once more. He aimed for the roof hoping to get air in and the smoke out. Once his sword's attack was over a huge hole appeared in the ceiling. Huge pieces of the roof fell along with dust. The smoke soon vanished and InuYasha could start breathing.

Just as InuYasha was about to move shots rang out. "Not so fast demon. You're not going anywhere." Takehiko stood only inches from InuYasha. He fired the last of the bullets hitting InuYasha right in the chest. "This time I know your little lady won't be saving you." Takehiko sneakered, then went to InuYasha ready to kick him hard in the side.

Just as Takehiko's foot was about to kick him. InuYasha grabbed it. "No this time I'll be saving her." InuYasha said, as he threw Takehiko across the room by his foot. Takehiko landed hard sliding into the brick wall and passed out. "One down and one bastard to go." InuYasha slowly stood looking for Masaru. His armor still good, no bullets had pierced the metal he was wearing. The only signs were five holes in his robes.

Masaru was not impressed by what he just saw. Somehow the bullets had no affect on InuYasha this time. He left the spot where he was standing and headed back to Kagome. She no longer could hold her head up. All her power was being drained by the magic of the ropes that where around her wrists. A few feet away a glass vase glowed a light blue. Her powers were being transferred into this special vase. Masaru smiled, this part of his plan was almost done. Soon he would posses a new jewel, a jewel he had been working on for hundreds of years. "Soon very soon Kagome the new jewel will be complete. And it's all thanks to you, the last miko in this world. I must thank you, without you I could never have done this." He lifted her chin and looked into her dazed eyes. "Thanks to you Kagome I will soon posses the miko jewel."

He stomach rolled as Masaru touched her chin and looked into her eyes. Even thought she was halfway gone she still knew what was happening. Her mind screamed out InuYasha's name. And then she heard him. "Kagome!" After that her mind went blank.
