Chapter 17

Once things were in order and the police were called to the strange mansion where Kei was taken. InuYasha stayed till every last man was arrested, making sure everyone was taken in even the lead man.

Eiji was finally caught. "You can't stop me I'll be back in business in less then a month, you'll see." Eiji yelled, as they placed him in the police car.

Off in the distance a figure stood watching as everything was shut down and taped off. "So your fate has finally been sealed Eiji, to bad you have to die now. I can't have you blurting out any secrets now can I." The man gave an evil laugh and snapped his fingers. As he turned and walked away he heard a police monitor call saying something had just happened to the man just arrested. And they were on route to the hospital immediately. "Only two left and my work will finally be done." The man said walking into a wooded area.

A young couple was now resting on their couch. Her hand was slowly moving over his strong chest. The marks from the bullet holes now hardly even noticeable. Still she remembered ever spot. She gave a heavy sigh and snuggled a little closer. Her head was resting on his shoulder, as his chin lightly rest on her head. They both felt tired and just needed to feel each other's touch. Kagome didn't bother with turning on the T.V. She just wanted time in his arms.

As his clawed hand slowly moved along her arm he kissed the top of her head. "I'm glad you're okay Kagome, I was really worried about you. That Mararu is really strong and smart. I must say even Naraku wasn't that clever."

Kagome moved her hand placing it over his heart. "I was scared too InuYasha, I never dreamed we'd face anyone like him. Of course he was the son of Miroku and Sango, so it shouldn't surprise you that he's was so experienced in fighting and spiritual powers as well. Though I still can't believe he lacks his parent's love of friendship. I should say actual love at all."

"Yeah I'm sure Miroku and Sango both are restless souls with how their son has disgraced their names." He moved her into his lap. "So are you hungry? I know I'm starving."

Kagome chuckled. "Oh InuYasha, you really haven't changed have you?"

"Nope I haven't, especially after a fight like we just went through." He pulled her close and brought his lips to her's kissing them deeply.

She slowly moved back from the kiss and smiled."So is it me or food you're hungry for InuYasha?" Kagome asked, moving a single finger down his chest stopping at his waistline.

He swallowed hard trying not to sound to needy. "Well...um..if you keep doing that little trick with your finger, then I'll probably be more hungry for you Kagome."

She chuckled and moved to get off his lap. "Well since you put it that way I'll feed your stomach first and your desires afterwards... If you're okay with that?"

He turned his head facing away from her to hide his blush. "Um.. Yeah sure we can do that." He felt something start to pull at him from inside and knew it would be even harder this time to hold back his true desires this time. Even though he knew they both weren't ready to go all the way. His desires as a demon and a man were still there, and his demon desires were getting stronger.

Shortly after his blush and throbbing problem down below wore off. InuYasha made his way to the kitchen to join Kagome for a quiet meal. As he got closer to the kitchen he heard something and soon realized it was Kagome. Staying quiet he approached the doorway and listened.

There she stood by the stove singing a tone, it sounded like angels singing. Well not that he ever heard angels sing, but it was a beautiful sound. She turned. "Oh! InuYasha, I didn't know you were there. I hope my singing isn't bothering you, I know how sensitive your hearing is."

He made his way to her with a smile. Once in arms reach he crusted her body to his. Golden eyes sharing into her brown eyes, neither one moved as they shared into each other's loving gaze. "No Kagome, the song was beautiful. Just as you are and always will be." He leaned down and kissed her lips tenderly.

As they kissed Kagome felt like she was putty in his hands. Her knees felt weak and soon only her arms that were now around his neck were supporting her. Feeling her weakness he wrapped his arms around her waist lifting her up a little. Both felt like they were floating on a cloud. When they parted both smiled, and Kagome went back to finishing the ramen.

The taste of his kiss still on her lips, still had her on a cloud. And as for InuYasha, well let's just say he was trying hard to fix a big problem. 'Damn my hormones need to chill.' He thought as he tried fixing his pants.

Meanwhile in the deep part of town a figure made his way to the heart of demon country. As he walked he passed one after another. Pure demons, half demons and even quarter demons. They all lived mostly in this area, and only the strong survived here. It was a kill or be killed type of place. He lived here and basically built this place, but not for these demons. No this place was his first, but to keep himself safe he allowed these other demons to dwell here as well.

"I see you have returned. Tell me did you finally get the half demon you've been seeking?" Amaya asked. Amaya was a powerful demon her powers matched his and together they were unstoppable. No demon dared to mess with either one. And over the years both had become mates.

"Sadly my dear, I have not. This InuYasha is unlike most demons we have encountered. It's no wonder my parents fought with him." He was angry and Amaya could tell.

"Maybe we should work together on this one like we did years ago." She took his hand in her's and lead him to their home. Once inside her hand began to glow along with his. "Remember how it felt when we over powered the strongest demon alive?"

He smiled and left her powers refresh his. "Aaaaaah, mate you sure do know how to make me feel better after a terrible fight and an even worse defeat. You're right though maybe together we can defeat them." He closed his eyes for a moment and left the memories of the great lord of the western lands battle with him and Amaya flow.

'If the great Sesshomaru was so easy to defeat then this demon should be no different.' He thought to himself. "Very well mate we shall regroup and learn more. After all no one has defeated us in five hundred years." They both chuckled at the thought of a half demon winning against them or a miko.
