A/N: I honestly didn't think I would actually do this. Well, I did promise everyone I would write this. I decided I would come back to this because I found out that FMA:B was back on Netflix, this time with all the episodes. I guess all of my author's notes will be shorter, just so that you can get to the reading faster.

I will have to remind you; this version of Red Rose Alchemist does contain a lot swears and there will be things that will make people quite uncomfortable. I will make sure to add in some trigger warnings before each chapter, as I care a lot about my readers.

So, without further ado, let's get on to the story!

Disclaimer: Fullmetal Alchemist belongs to Hiromu Arakawa and Ouran Highschool Host Club belongs to Hatori Bisco. I do not intend to make any profit off these two works.

His Rose, Stained in Blood

Today was an ordinary day in Central. The skies above were clear and blue, the birds chirped, spreading their happiness to the people down below. It was an especially good day at Central Command. Everything seemed normal today, chatter and gossip filled the corridors, people were walking and running to get to their destination. Everyone was busy, they all had something to get done before the end of the day.

That was, until someone had disrupted everything. A young boy stomped his way through Central Command, followed by a large suit of armour who quickly apologized to everyone they encountered. The boy did not look pleased at all. In fact, it seemed like a dark aura was surrounding him, so everyone did their best to avoid him. He stopped at Colonel Mustang's office for a moment, then kicked the door with such force that the hinges nearly flew off. He walked into the office, greeted by Lieutenant Hawkeye and the rest of Mustang's subordinates. The raven-haired colonel sat at the back of the room, going through his paperwork.

"Good afternoon Edward", he said, not once looking up at the boy. "I couldn't see past my paperwork, seeing as you haven't grown an inch since we last met" Ed clenched his fists, nails digging into his palms.

"Okay Colonel, did you seriously call me here so that you could mock me? You know, I have other things to do, like research"

As much as Roy wanted to see Ed angry, he didn't want to have his office destroyed again, so he stopped himself from going any further.

"Actually, the reason why I called you was because I have a mission for you" he replied. He handed Ed a folder, but the boy did not take it from him.

"Why don't read it yourself, you lazy piece of sh-"

"Brother! Watch your language!" The armour elbowed the boy in the ribs. The colonel smirked.

"I would read it, if you ask nicely" he said.

"I would rather die than ask you to do anything for me, bastard"

"Brother, don't do this" Al pleaded. Ed glared daggers at his superior.

"May I please have my mission read to me?" the boy said through gritted teeth.

Roy's smirk only grew. He took the folder and removed its contents. He made a quick scan of the papers before giving them to Ed.

"First of all," he started "I want this mission to be done correctly. I don't want you causing any trouble for us, and make sure that you don't beat someone near death this time"

Ed shrugged "The man was practically begging me to kill him"

Mustang sighed. "Your mission is to head to a foreign country. The reason why I don't want you causing any trouble is because it might draw attention to us, and we don't want that. All I want for now, is for you to lay low"

Ed started to pay more attention. A foreign country? Shouldn't they be sending someone else?

"There is a suspected alchemist going around and killing tons of innocent people" Roy continued "His targets are adolescents, children who are at a high-school age. You will be going undercover as student at Ouran Academy. The reports say that most of his victims attend that school"

"That's all?" Ed asked.

"I'm afraid that's it. It's basically looking out for any suspicious activity" his superior answered.

"But why me? Can't they send in one of you guys?"

"Gee, I don't know Ed, are there any other teenagers around here?"

"But can't you pose as a teacher or something?"

"Their teaching methods are different there than over here. Besides, what can I teach there?"

Ed sighed in frustration. "Is Al allowed to come?" he asked.

Mustang sighed. "I wish I could say yes, but again, I can't risk drawing any attention to us. I'm sorry Ed, but your brother will have to stay here. The things we have here, automail, alchemy, they're not popular over there. In fact, alchemists are frowned upon in their society.

Although both brothers were clearly upset, they had to admit that what the colonel said was right. Not only would it be strange to see a young boy walking with a rather large suit of armour, but the both of them would be attacked with questions.

Al turned to Ed. "I'll miss you, Brother. Write to me when you're gone, okay?"

"Don't worry about anything, little brother. I'll make sure you don't miss out on anything, I'll even bring you a souvenir!" Ed replied. The little orbs in Al's helmet glowed a little brighter. The two boys shared a little moment of happiness before the Colonel interrupted them.

"Now Ed, I don't want you telling anyone about this mission. If any information escapes from this room, I am not so sure what the consequences will be. Keep quiet, you hear?"

"Fine" Ed groaned.

"Oh, and if I were you, I would go visit that mechanic of yours before you leave" Mustang continued.

"Where exactly am I going? You never told me anything" Edward asked.

Roy smiled. "You are going to country called 'Japan'"

"Can you believe him? I'm leaving the country!" Ed exclaimed excitedly.

"Brother! Didn't Colonel Mustang tell you to keep quiet!?" Al asked.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. No one's around to hear me anyways. The building's practically empty!" the smaller boy replied.

"Still Brother, you must be careful. There could be someone around the corner, listening to our conversation"

Both of them paused and looked at each other. They both looked around to see if someone had really been listening to them. When they saw nobody, they both sighed in relief. They continued to walk the empty hallways of Central Command. Al was carrying a tall stack of books. Ed was carrying some books of his own too. They all had something to do with learning Japanese.

"Does this bastard think that I could learn an entire language in a week?!" Ed asked himself.

"I mean, you did learn a lot of Cretan within three days" Al replied. "Besides, from the looks of it, Japanese looks a lot like Xingese. Don't worry, you can study on the way to Resembool and back. You'll be speaking the language in no time" the armoured boy assured.

"Right, I've got to visit that crazy gearhead again. I wonder what she's up to. Do I have to go?" Ed grumbled.

"Brother, last time, you couldn't even move your arm, and we were only gone for a week. Who knows how long you'll be staying in Japan? It's better to be safe than sorry"

As they exited the building, Edward Elric took the time to look around. He took in the scenery, the buildings of the surrounding area, the cars that sped along the road. Lastly, he turned around and looked at Central Command. It would be the last he'd be seeing Amestris for a while. Now he thought ahead, to the adventures he would have in the new country.

Japan, here I come!

A/N: Did I actually write this? Like, I actually had creative juices flowing? I actually decided to pick this back up? At first, I was actually planning on putting it up for adoption, but I told myself I was going to rewrite this. I know it said I was rewriting this on the summary, but I never really got around to it until now. Well, I'm glad I got all of this over with. Chapter 2 will be up in a bit.

Thanks, my friendos,
