Disclaimer: I do not, nor will I ever own the rights to Twilight. Some ideas and words for this chapter came from an extra that Stephenie Meyer wrote. You can find it on her sight. The words used from the book and the extra belong to Stephenie Meyer.

This is the last chapter of the Cullens' POV of the Twilight section of Transitionals. After this chapter, I will be posting some chapters from other POVs as outtakes. I have a few that I need to do for this book, including a few from Anna's POV, but I'm still willing to take more suggestions.

If there are any scenes that you would like from someone else's POV fill free to send them in a review or a private message.

As of right now, I don't know how many outtakes there will be but as I post them I will also be editing some mistakes that need to be fixed. Hopefully, I know what I'm doing and don't somehow accidentally delete something.

I really hope you all like this chapter as much as I do.

I would like to dedicate this chapter to all of you, my readers.

Chapter 26

Edward's POV

Something was going on but I had no idea what it was. Jasper and Emmett were relaxing in the living room chuckling every once in a while; a louder laugh escaping a few times.

I was glad to see that they were enjoying themselves. I, on the other hand, was slowly falling to anxious waiting. A few days ago Charlie had given us the okay to go to prom; and while Bella's safety is my number one priority, I was excited to finally go to a school dance with the love of my life.

Bella was currently upstairs with my sisters getting ready for the night. It wouldn't take me long to get ready, so I was stuck downstairs with nothing that could occupy my mind.

"What's so funny?" I asked as I took a seat beside Emmett.

Emmet shared a glance with Jasper and the two of them silently laughed together. Their thoughts couldn't be concealed from me though through their merriment.

I glanced up at the floor above us. "She doesn't know?"

"Nope,"Emmett popped the p, turning to me as he laughed loudly. "Alice won't let anyone tell her, she wants to wait and let Bella figure it out on her own."

I couldn't help the chuckle that escaped my lips. Oh, Bella.

It turns out I didn't have to worry about getting bored. Listening to the girls get ready was quite entertaining.

"What do you think about makeup?" I was sure Alice was asking Rose but Bella answered.

"It's a pain."

The three of us laughed at that.

"Alright you three, you clearly need something to occupy your time." Esme walked down the stairs caring Cissy. "You all can work with Cissy until you need to get ready yourselves."

Emmett jumped off the couch before Jasper or I could, snatching Cissy away from Esme. "Come on Cissy, you're going to crawl today."

"Probably not today, but soon." I sat down on the floor beside Emmett, Jasper taking a seat on my right.

I never thought I'd be doing anything like this, and now after all the time we've spent with Bella and the girls, I can't imagine not getting to spend this time with them.

I acknowledged Jasper's thoughts with a nod.

Anna jumped onto Jasper's back after a while. "Shouldn't you all be getting ready?"

Jasper pulled Anna over his shoulder before beginning to tickle her. "What are you going to do if we don't?"

Anna squirmed and squealed under his fingers. "I'll tell Alice."

Jasper stopped immediately. He set Anna on her feet before hauling Emmett and me to our feet. "You heard the little lady." Turning sharply he marched up the stairs just to get Anna to laugh again.

Emmett picked Cissy up and went looking for Esme.

Before I could head for my room, Anna caught hold of my hand. I gave her hand a gentle squeeze. "What's up?"

She smiled up at me. I get to pick?

I lifted Anna into my arms and raced up the stairs to my room. My tux was already laid out for me. "I'm sorry Anna, it doesn't look like there's anything you can help with unless you want to pick out my tie."

Anna ran into my closet as her answer.

I smiled and showed her all my ties. Much to my surprise, she pulls out a brand new one in a deep blue color that I knew for certain wasn't like any of the other blues I had.

Alice must have put it in there.

You're welcome, Alice sent to me.

Anna set the tie beside the rest of my stuff and skipped out of the room.

Shaking my head at her and Alice's antics I changed quickly. I made sure that I was waiting at the bottom of the stairs like Alice wanted, when she, Rose and Bella were ready.

"Come on Bella, everyone is waiting downstairs for us."

I stiffened at Alice's declaration. It was finally time and I'd be able to see Bella in a matter of seconds.

"Don't worry Bella we won't let you fall." Rose added in her mind, you're going to have to keep careful watch, even I can't believe the shoes Alice put her in.

Rose refused to let me see the shoes in her thoughts, carefully keeping her mind focused on Emmett.

I could hear every step and with each one, my excitement grew.

Tone it down, will you? Jasper rolled his eyes at me.

"The three of you better have your eyes closed, and stay out of our heads Edward!" Alice called down to us.

We all did, despite Emmett's complaint.

Esme let Alice know when we had all closed our eyes.

They stopped at the top of the stairs, pausing no doubt so Esme could get a picture.

"There is no way I'm walking down the stairs while they're snapping pictures. I'm sure to fall, and I don't want any evidence," Bella said.

I struggled to keep in my laughter, not wanting to laugh at Bella's concerns, but I couldn't help it.

I could hear everyone else laughing though, despite the fact Emmett almost completely blocked out the rest of the family.

Finally, Alice sighed, and said, "Okay, the three of you can open your eyes."

I opened my eyes and it felt as if my heart was going to beat again. Standing between my sisters was the love of my life. There were no words to describe her beauty and elegance.

I heard more laughing but couldn't tell where it had come from. One minute I was staring up at Bella the next she was standing right in front of me.

"Are we getting pictures or what?"

I finally pulled my eyes away from Bella and turned to Anna.

She waved her camera at our group and we laughed.

We lined up for Anna's and Esme's photos and then we were finally able to head out.

I grinned in anticipation as I helped Bella into my Vanquish, looking forward to the chance to drive it. All the while I wondered when Bella was going to finally figure out where we were going.

"When exactly are you going to tell me where we are going?"

"I'm shocked that you haven't figured it out yet?" I smirked at her.

"You know I don't like surprises," she pleaded.

Bella's cry of horror startled me. I never thought Bella would react as she did when we pulled into the school parking lot.

"You're taking me to prom!"

I grimaced and narrowed my gaze. "Don't be difficult."

She groaned. "Why are you doing this to me?"

Rolling my eyes I gestured to my clothes. "Honestly, Bella, what did you think we were doing?"

"I don't know, some sort of dance but outside of Forks. Away from the people I know, and away from anyone who could torment me for being clumsy. I already know I'm going to fall, look at these shoes, they're a death trap."

She shifted in her seat letting me see her leg and the shoe she was wearing.

"Hmmm. Remind me to thank Alice for that tonight." I really would have to thank her for that later.

I got out of the car and went around to open Bella's door. She was being stubborn, but I could be too.

I opened the door for her and offered her my hand. She refused to take it though.

I sighed. "Bella I won't let anything hurt you. I won't let go of you once, I promise."

It took a moment but I saw her resolve waver.

"There now, it won't be so bad."

I helped her out of the car and waited for her to feel comfortable with her balance and the shoes. I offered her my mine and lead the way to the gym.

Tonight was going to be perfect.

So this is Prom, it looks like all the ones I had seen in the minds of students for years.

"This looks like a horror movie waiting to happen," Bella snickered as she took in all the decorations.

As we waited to get our tickets I whispered in her ear, "There are more than enough vampires present."

"Aren't you forgetting someone?" Bella nudges me playfully.

It felt good to be able to laugh with her. It felt even better to feel like I could tease her. "I didn't think enough people here knew what a transitional was."

She played along, sighing. "Oh well, at least I'm with the vampires."

All the playfulness fell though when I headed for the dance floor. Bella started dragging her feet; as if that could stop me.

"I have all night, Bella."

"Edward, I really can't dance."

I could see that she was truly worried about that. "Don't worry, silly. I can, it's all in the leading."

One dance after another, ignoring the day and ages dance steps. I preferred the classic waltz and Bella didn't seem to mind. In fact, she seemed to be enjoying herself more than she thought she would.

This is crazy, it doesn't make any sense. Dad's finally gone mad.

My gaze instantly went to the new voice that had added to the gym. My eyes landed on the young Quileute. It didn't take long to get from his thoughts that his dad was Billy Black the leader of the tribe.

I can't believe I'm doing this.

"What is it?" I heard Bella ask just before I snarled.

The others immediately stepped up to my side and we waited for the young man to notice us.

His scent thankfully wasn't as strong as it could have been. It also helped that he seemed to know not to bring attention to himself or us. Instead of joining us he nodded in our direction.

"Why don't we go outside?" Alice suggested.

We made our way back to the parking lot, which would be empty at the moment.

"What's going on Jacob?" Bella asked.

Jacob glanced around our group before deciding it was safer to talk with Bella. From his thoughts, I knew he didn't believe in their stories, but he was still wary of my siblings and me. "My dad paid me to come talk with you. He wanted me to deliver some kind of message." Though it doesn't really make any sense.

Emmett crossed his arms over his chest. "Well, go on then."

"Let's not intimidate him, he doesn't believe the stories of his ancients," I whispered low enough that only my siblings would hear.

Jacob sighed, he wanted to get this over with and get back home. "I don't understand any of this but, here it goes. My dad wants you to meet where it all began, somethings happened and he wants to make some changes." He shrugged. "Sorry, that's all I know. It sounds crazy, but he said just in case you don't believe him, to tell you he didn't think Sam would have been able to crash your prom."

Though Sam would have been all too happy to crash it. If this was so important he should have sent Sam, everyone treats him like he's so important now.

Interesting, we knew Sam was a wolf, but it sounded like he was being treated like a Chief. "When did your dad want to meet us?"

Jacob's skin flushed with embarrassment, making the smell even worse. He wasn't a wolf yet, but it was definitely clear that he very well could turn into one. "Sorry, he wants to meet in a week, he needs time to talk with the other elders of our tribe. He says to bring his friend and his family, come at twilight."

"Well, do we trust them?" Rose hissed lowly.

I spared each of my siblings a glance.

I don't sense anything we should worry about. Jasper.

Alice searched for the future but couldn't see a thing. There must be too many variables, decisions that need to be made.

I don't know about the others but I'm gain. Emmett

I don't want Bella or the girls near the wolf. Rose.

I nodded my agreement to Rose. I didn't want them there, but I knew we wouldn't be able to keep them away.

"Well," Jacob watched us nervously. "I'm going to leave now." He gave Bella a quick nod before leaving as fast as he could.

Bella's worried. Jasper.

That was a given. I was starting to think that she worried more than I did, and that was a scary thought.

Comforting Bella comes first. "It's alright Bella, we don't have to worry about it till next week." I planted a kiss gently on her forehead. "Come on, let's go back to the dance."

Bella let me lead her back to the gym, the two of us following the others.

How could I distract Bella from whatever the Quileute tribal Leader wanted to discuss with us?

"I've got this," I heard Emmett whisper so only the five of us would hear. Speaking up he said, "Come on Bella, let's dance." He took her hands from me and dragged her off to go spinning around the dance floor.

"Don't make her sick," Rose hissed at him.

Emmett smirked but thought better of actually making Bella dizzy enough to be sick.

"Did the boy know anything he wasn't telling us?" Rose let Jasper lead her to the dance floor.

"Nothing that I could get from his thoughts," I told them.

Alice nodded towards the dance floor before crossing her arms over her chest, pouting slightly.

I laughed at her antics but willingly offered to dance.

When the song changed we all switched partners. Emmett with Alice, Jasper and Bella, while I danced with Rose.

"You know you can try to relax now." Rose rolled her eyes at me. "You're so busy trying to make sure she's alright, but have you stopped to think that maybe if you calm down a bit then maybe she'd be able too?"

I never liked it when Rose was right, but she was right.

Taking a deep breath I closed my eyes. When I had opened them I was surprised to see Rose making a weird face at me.

"What's that for?"

She laughed softly. "Anna. She told me that her mom would make silly faces at people who were stressing out." It's not my style but I thought I'd give it a try just once.

We laughed softly together until the end of the song.

The six of us switched again, back to our partners, and I was glad to see that Bella seemed more relaxed. We were both more relaxed now.

The night had finally returned to what I had planned it would be. Just Bella and I dancing together.

The dance was getting ready to end, most of the students were sitting down, too tired to dance any more. I danced us around the few that were still on the dance floor, and out the doors.

Bella's smile wiped my mind of any plans I'd had. I pulled her into my arms and took a seat at one of the benches outside.

"Thank you for coming tonight." I kissed her neck, testing my control, feeling more confident than I probably should. "I had a wonderful time."

Bella sighed. "I had a good time too."

I couldn't help laughing. I knew she'd have fun if she just gave the night a chance. "So you would let Alice dress you up again?"

She leaned away and stared up at me a look of sheer horror frozen on her face. It was just too funny, and I roared. My body shook with the waves of laughter.

"Don't worry Bella, it won't be any…"

Are you forgetting something? Alice sent to me immediately.

"…time soon." I sighed inwardly and shook my head. "I guess not as long as I thought."

Alice was already planning, Jasper, Rose, and Emmett's graduation party.

Bella took it better than I thought she would, only rolling her eyes. "Oh well, let's just enjoy, right now."

"To right now."

Before anyone else could interrupt us, I kissed her. I paused to let her breathe, pulling away to give her some space. Her eyes narrowed though and she pouted at me.

"Excuse me, but I was not done kissing you."

I laughed and happily obliged her command.

Author's Note

We're finally done with the Cullens' POV of Transitionals. Now it is off to Transitionals: New Moon

Here are my questions for you this time.

How did I do? What are your thoughts on this chapter? And what are your thoughts on the Cullens' POV?

Which POV was/were your favorites?

Did you like Bella's POV section better or the Cullens' POV?

The Transitional story isn't complete just yet. I'm going back and fixing some mistakes. There are some grammar mistakes that I'm trying to fix, but the big problem is, I used a voice to text program to write many of the chapters for this story, and I didn't realize that my program wasn't correctly catching what I was saying all the time. I'm sorry about that, it was probably confusing a few times trying to read this, especially if anyone was having Fanfiction read the story aloud to you.

Those problems are going to get fixed, but I also have mentioned writing a few outtakes for the series. I'm open to writing scenes from different POV's if you have any requests let me know.

The first outtake is actually going to be from Anna's POV, and it is going to be the scene where she first sees Rosalie. I'm really looking forward to it, and I hope you all will enjoy it.

Also, Outtakes aren't going to be as long as the chapters. Most likely no more than 1,000 words per one.

Until next time,
