"So, now what do we do?" Terry turned to her kidnapper as she crossed her legs on the bed. Resting her chin on her hand, she patiently waited for Atem to say or do something. It was just the two of them in the room at the moment, which she found a little odd. "The nurse isn't here?"

"Oh, the nurse is always out pretty much. She's the one faculty member all the students trust. She lets us cut classes from time to time here and we don't snitch about her taking naps. She also likes to play therapist for some students." Atem shrugged his shoulders, speaking as if none of this ever applied to him.

"Have you talked to her?" She tilted her head to the side. "I don't think I've ever really met the nurse...but then again, no one ever complains about her. With what you said, it makes sense why though."

"I never really spoke to her. I did come here from time to time to get away from Anzu though." He sighed, leaning his head side to side to stretch his neck. "She tried talking to me and all that shit though. It was all bullshit though, she didn't honestly give a crap about me. None of the faculty here actually gives two shits so long as I don't cause too much trouble for them." He spat out the words, Terry frowning a little at how his eyebrows knit together.

I'm sure someone cared, even if a little. She poked at his forehead. "None of that pouting, you have people who care now and that's what matters more. You've gotta start focusing on positives over negatives. Plus, you look better smiling, everyone thinks so too."

"I have people who care now? Positives over negatives? Smiling? I swear it must be a field of flowers in that head of yours!" Atem scoffed, moving out of reach of her poking hand as he turned to look out the window to watch what they could of their classmates. How can she just openly say such things? Doesn't she have any shame?

"Hey, what do you mean a field of flowers in my head? You saying I've got a hollow head or something?" She narrowed her eyes at Atem, scowling herself now.

"That sounds more like a compliment for you sometime." He snickered, turning back to look at her.

"Okay wise guy, tell me what you really meant then!"

"And definitely something applicable to now. How about you prove that otherwise you're insinuating and think what I really could me by it." He taped at her forehead, thoroughly amused by how she had such varying emotions. I really could just sit here and watch her all day. He leaned back on his elbows as she frowned at him. "What? Can't think of what I mean? That's no fun, I thought you like trying to figure riddles and shit out." He purposely pushed her buttons as he turned on to his side to look at her. He saw the flames of determination kindled in her grey eyes, the amusement in his azure ones only fueling it.

Terry carefully and quietly observed him for a moment as she went over the possible options of what he was implying with his words.

He obviously isn't saying anything with serious malicious or negative intent. If anything, he's gotten into the habit of teasing way too much. She crossed her arms as she looked directly up at the ceiling. He's been on a 'whatever you think' kick over an 'I don't care to expend the energy to explain' attitude. He's also been pretty quick to flirt a lot too. So I can easily rule out anything negative with serious ill intent. He could be giving a roundabout compliment that he's infamous for. Never so straightforward. She rolled her eyes at the fact though she was fond of that cute side of him. She would never tell him that aloud though, less she wished to feel his shy fury. Ok, the options are he's telling me I'm being super cheery, I'm having a blank moment in reading the situation between us, or he's complimenting me. She pondered the three options for a moment longer when is she remembered the conversation on the train over this morning. "That I'm cute like a flower, you're calling me cute again." She finally spoke up, surprising Atem who had gotten comfortable with watching her think.

"What? How would you get that from what I said?" He scowled, his cheeks threatening him to heat up at the fact she had hit the nail on the head yet again. I didn't even give her a single clue, how the fuck she get that from what I said?

"Well, you're clearly not trying to insult me for starters." She said as she raised a finger. "Secondly, you're associating what I said to flowers and flowers are usually considered pretty or cute." She raised a second and third finger. "You also insisted on me being cute and me being blind to said cuteness this morning." She raised her fourth finger. "So with all that in mind, the association of flowers is you calling me cute."

"I swear, you're the only one who'd come up with that answer with such logic!" He huffed, turning his back to her to hide his face.

"Hey, no fair! Was I wrong or was I right?" She scooted a little closer and leaned over on to her hands. Atem felt the bed begin to sink behind him from her added weight.

"What do you think?!" He snapped as he turned to look at her, the tops of his cheeks and ears a little rosy. She stared at him a little blankly before grinning from ear to ear. "Hey, quit grinning like an idiot!" He pinched one of her cheeks to try and break the smile but was certain to not hurt her in anyway.

"Oi, no pulling my cheek!" She retaliated by pulling his in return.

"Why are you pulling mine?"

"Because you're pulling mine!"

"Well that's because you're grinning!"

"Well, whose fault is that?!" He flinched a little at the shout, releasing her cheek as his face only got a little more heated at her words. I swear, you don't think before you say things. He grabbed her arm, pulling her down to lie down with him. He grumbled something incoherent as he tightly hugged her to his chest. "You're always so argumentative! You also make me run a lot too. No more talking for you, just sleep!" He huffed, closing his eyes and willing himself to sleep as Terry gaped at his sudden change in behavior. She was not sure if she should laugh or argue back, but she opted to keep her silence as she peered up at his resting face she had seen so many times.

He really is very handsome. She thought, taking in his defined features and long lashes. The fact he was able to maintain such a hairstyle was a feat she knew she would never be able to do. The fact that Yugi copies him is adorable though. She smiled to herself, her fingers ghosting over his lips. Remembering all of his kisses, her heart thumped against her chest as she squeezed her eyes shut. She was not tired, but lying with him in the bed like this with the gentle breeze from the window helped her sleep away into peaceful slumber.

The nurse walked into her office, noting the closed curtain. Carefully, she walked over to listen for any suspicious sounds. Not hearing any, she frowned a little to herself. She wondered if an actually sick student had come around to her room and was asleep. She knew it would be trouble if her absence was known if that were the case. Debating with herself, she finally pulled a little aside to find the two cutely passed out though in a somewhat uncomfortable manner since their legs were dangling off the long side. Figuring the pain of the position was more than enough punishment, she closed the curtain and took her seat at her desk to work on the papers she had taken a break from as she let the two rest.
