She couldn't get down. Shiro had decided it was a smart idea to haul herself onto a bar stool and now she couldn't get down. Stupidest idea by far that had come out of her mushy pregnant brain today. A frown marred her features, Gin laughing quietly behind a hand from his spot at the booth where he had tried getting her to sit earlier.
"Stop yer fucking laughing and help me down Gin," she whined, Shiro couldn't even see the legs of the stool beneath her. God how did she even get up on the bar stool? She couldn't even see her feet anymore, Gin had to put on her shoes that morning.
"I feel like 'm bout ta fucking pee myself," she grumbled, baby most likely playing soccer with her bladder. Gin was at her side in a second after she said that. The threat of peeing herself in public always worked on him. Oh dear. That wonderful wet feeling down her legs. That was definitely not pee.
"Well shit," she mumbled, looking down at her dress. Yeah definitely to much liquid to be pee.
"Hey Sado-chan, ya got a car?" She hollered, Gin standing there confused since her back was to him. He stepped closer to her, finally seeing the water all over her dress and stool.
"Yeah," Chad replied looking confused. He was pretty sure Shiro owned a car, why would she need his?
"Great cause I ain't having this kid in yer bar, Gin get me down now and be careful. Chad if ya could bring yer car round to the fro- OH MOTHER FUCKING BABY JESUS," she screeched, clutching her side and panting in pain. Gin looked her with concern not really understanding what to do in this situation.
"Fucking idiot you are!" She hissed, in pain, not as much as before but her back was hurting so much.
"Prepared for any situation you said!"
"Let's get ya on the floor koi, 'ey Chad forget the car, she ain't gonna be going anywhere now. Bring me some blankets and shit will you though?" He asked, basically picking up his wife. Shiro dug her fingers into his back, whispering insults to him. He couldn't help but smile and laugh which earned him more insults and a few hits.
"Don't think we are having another one after this little monster is born," Shiro hissed, finally sitting down on floor. Everyone in the bar was watching curious from their seats. It wasn't every day you got to see a woman giving birth in a pub. Shiro growled when she felt all eyes on her.
"JESUS CHIRST! Get the fuck outta here before I kill someone," she screamed, tossing her beer mug full of coke at a booth full of men.
"We are closing up early, I'd suggest you don't linger," Chad called out from behind the bar, death glaring customers till they left.
"LEAVE, DO IT BEFORE I FUCKING KILL YOU ALL. DEAR LORD I HATE YOU GIN." Another contraction. All those stupid birthing classes never prepared you for the actual birth. Gingerly she held her hand out for Gin's, she needed something to hold onto that felt pain. He held her hand, knowing it wasn't a smart idea considering he needed to call the hospital and she was most likely going to crush it.
"Hello this is the Seireitei hospital how may I help?"
"Hi, my wife's water just broke but the contractions started up immediately afterwards and I don't think there's any way I can moved her, what do I do?"
"We can send an ambulance to your location and paramedics can help from there, might I have the address?" Gin nodded to himself rattling off the address best as he could since Shiro was crushing his hand, not a contraction by the look of it just her being an ass like normal. He hung up as the nurse thanked him, she sounded really cheerful.
"I hate you, I want a divorce." Gin sighed, patting her hair in placating manner.
"Ya don't really mean it koi," he said, sitting down next to her.
"No I do mean it, this is your fault. If it weren't for you I wouldn't be pushing what feels like a boulder through my v- URHG I AM RIPPING OFF YOUR BALLS WHEN THIS IS OVER, YOU UNDERSTAND THAT GIN ICHIMARU!"
"I love ya too." That earned him a growl, Shiro crushing his hand even more. It wasn't long before the ambulance arrived, Gin sighed in relief when they did. Shiro fought tooth and nail when they tried to move her, another contraction hitting her.
"IM HAVING THIS THING HERE AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT," she screamed, kicking the male paramedic in the groin.
"Please calm down ma'am, you'll gain nothing from attacking us," the female paramedic said, edging a little bit closer to her.
"Inflicting pain makes me feel slightly better," Shiro grumbled, the woman laughing a little at her response.
"Then inflict it on your husband here, that's really his only job right now. My name is Mila rose, how far apart have your contractions been so far?" She asked kneeling down next to her.
"'M Shiro, I have no fucking clue. Feels like the little monster is tap dancing on my spine, been in bloody pain since the first contraction."
"Hi 'm Gin the useless husband. Her contractions 'ave been a few minutes apart so far no more then six, seven minutes but the last two were closer together." The nurse nodded, tight lipped smile, her counterpart sulking in the corner.
"Looks like we're in for a quick birth," she muttered to him, he nodded returning to the ambulance. Shiro started crying, Gin knew it wasn't from pain; she attacked people when she was in pain. He squeezed her hand lightly, letting her know he that he was there for her.
"I WANT ICHIGO, SHE PROMISED ME SHE'D BE HERE GIN. I MISS HER SO MUCH AND IM SCARED," She screeched, another contraction sending waves of pain through her body. Gin rubbed her shoulder, there wasn't anything he could do to help. Not unless he jumped in a taxi and bring the urn to her but that wasn't what she really wanted either. An urn couldn't hug her or reassure her.
"Gin I'm scared that I won't be a good mother," she whispered, it hurt him a little that she didn't depend on him as much as she did with Ichigo once but that was the reality of the situation. Shiro didn't like showing others her fears and pain, but Ichigo was her twin and that was different. They were two sides of the same coin.
"Ya will be an excellent mama koi, I know ya will. This child will be lucky to have a mama like ya. Ichigo would be proud of ya," he said, kissing her on the forehead. She gave a watery smile in response before another round of insults left her mouth, the time between the contractions shrinking fast. It was time to man up, no more messing around and acting childish. Like Shiro he was worried, worried that he was going to become his father, negligent and an asshole. By twelve he was spending entire nights out on the street as an attempt to capture his fathers attention. His mother wasn't in the picture anymore, she was never there actually. She handed him over to his father about a month after he was born and never returned. And by sixteen he had been in juvenile detention twice for stealing, more attention seeking. It wasn't until he joined Aizen's gang that he got the attention he craved from his father, the man hugged him and then said that he could never come home again. He didn't want his child hating him for life.
"You ready for this sir, she's crowning which probably means broken fingers for you. Ma'am when I saw push, push like your like depends on it and it will be over soon. Now push darling!" The nurse was right about the broken fingers part. When she was told to push Shiro crushed his fingers like grapes, screaming even more insults as she did.
"Come on Shiro, almost there," Gin said, wincing as the other paramedic placing his fingers in splints. He had changed hands with Shiro due to fractured fingers, in the past five minutes she had fractured three of his fingers. But it was worth it.
"He's right one more push and then both shoulders will be through and that's it," the nurse muttered.
"I should have had a c-section, I would've rocked those scars," Shiro murmured, her scowl back in place as she tried to push.
"Ya would 'ave complained it was too much like a scene from alien koi." She agreed grunting, hand griping his so tightly that he could hear the bones grinding together. Then the crying started. He looked at his wife smile on his face, brushing back the sweaty hair from her forehead, the smile on her face just as wide.
"Congratulations, it's a healthy baby girl and judging by those cries she's got a good set of lungs." Shiro giggled as she held out her arms for her baby. This tiny person was her daughter and she was still screaming but that didn't bother her. All those months of pain and outrageous hormones and mood swings were worth it. Gin moved a little bit closer hesitantly reaching a hand towards their child.
"It's okay Gin," she whispered, resting her head on his shoulder tired. The second he touched her tiny hand she grabbed his finger with surprising strength, falling silent. All he could do was smile.
"Looks like she's going to be a daddy's girl. What are ya going to name her?" Shiro asked, surprising him. She had planned on naming the baby since she was the one who went through all the pain but the look of wonder and fear on Gin's face changed her mind. He looked down at his baby girl again, his daughter opening her eyes to reveal crystal blue orbs.
"Chiyuki, her name is Chiyuki."
"Little snow. I like it, hello my little Chiyuki."
