"Home sweet home," Ichigo cried throwing her arms wide, grinning like the devil before she noticed the state her house was in. The ivy that had once covered just the brick had taken over the entire front of the building, even the garden was over grown making it look abandoned.
"I didn't think ya'd have a western style home, needs maintenance though Precious. We can start on that once we get settled in I suppose," he muttered, keeping his voice down, Ushio asleep in his arms.
"I hired a gardener to take care of this while I was gone. I've been paying him the entire time!" She grumbled, ripping through the ivy to storm inside, turning her anger onto her answering machine.
"Calm down I'm sure he didn't let it get like this on purpose, where's Ushio's room?" he asked, kissing Ichigo on the top of her head
"Up the stairs and to the right, second door from the landing," she muttered, pressing play on her answering machine.
'Hey miss Miyama it's Keigo. I broke my leg playing soccer and it's going to be close to a year's recovery time, I won't be able to tend to your garden till then. I realize that you've set up and automatic payment plan for me so I'll set the money aside, please contact me when you get this message.' Ichigo couldn't really be angry with the boy, with a sigh she let go of her frustrations pulling out her address book and looking up his number.
'Hey, Keigo's phone.'
"Hello is Keigo is there?" she asked, surprised that a girl answered instead.
'Yeah, let me just grab him for you.'
'Hey, Keigo speaking. Who's calling?'
"It's Chihiro Miyama. You said to call when I got your message, sorry for the wait I've only just got back."
'That's okay Miss Miyama, I'm sorry about how bad the garden looks. I got my sister to drive past so I could look, she refused to go and rip the ivy off the door for me.'
"Don't apologise, accidents happen. How's your leg going? I hope you didn't do any serious damage," I asked, I genuinely enjoyed his company the few times I spoke to him in person and he worked wonders with my garden.
'It's not too bad now but I had to get a plate to hold the bones together while they healed, that was the worst of it. I'll be cleared to work in a couple of months, I can return to my previous schedule then if you like.'
"That's good to hear but I'm actually going to be home for the next eight or so months, I've found out I'm pregnant and decided to stay put for this one. I haven't got much to do but potter around my garden, don't fret to much though once this kid's born I'm redesigning the garden and you'll be working on it."
'Congrats Miss Miyama, I have other gardening jobs you know! None as good as yours, can't wait to work on it once you have your child. Now about the money, wh-'
"Just keep it," I said interrupting him, "I have more money then I know what to do with and you probably have lot's of medical fees to pay. Being out of work for a long time is hard. Think of it as a tip for being such a great gardener."
'Thank miss. Shoot I've got to go, doctor's appointment. Good Bye Miss Miyama.'
"Bye."
"More money then you know what to do with huh?" Grimm asked, leaning against the banister, chuckling.
"It's true, a lot of people just assume I charge large fees and presume I want a few million for assassinating someone. The more my name got out the larger the amounts became. I've only ever set a price once and that was for my first freelance job. People are insane." That got him laughing. She wasn't joking though, Ichigo had enough money that she could build Ushio an entire college and still be well off. It had never really been her plan to amass such wealth but that was just how it went. "So what's the plan now?" he asked, bringing the two of them back to reality. With her being pregnant she had a limited about of time to take action.
"You're the leader of the Esapdas still?" she asked, heading towards the kitchen, wondering if she had remembered to clear out the fridge before leaving for Germany.
"Yeah, I've been on the side lines for the past few months but if ya need me to I can go back to being an active leader, Hal will be happy if I do, I've shouldered most of it onto her."
"Good, I'm going to need all the man power and resources you have. Ichigo Kurosaki is about to return from the dead."
