Yugioh roseZ 3

this chapter will start off with reactions form the last chapter, as well as the debut of roseZ cast member Rachel!

Rachel: hello.

HOLY CRAP! why the heck are you here!?

Rachel: well, I have to appear sometime... I just chose now to get it out of the way.

well you're supposed to be with everyone else.

Rachel: alright, you don't have to shout. *leaves*

now that that's out of the way, let's continue.

Back in the theatre...

"Okay. so here's how it'll go." Yukai announced, now gaining everyone's attention. "I'll draw a random name out of each era, and they will represent everyone's main reactions. and the results are..." Yukai said, pulling on several slips of paper. pulling our six, he named out the few.

"Joey Wheeler, Cyrus Truesdale, Jack Atlas, Kotori Meadows, Yuzu boyle, and Takeru Homura"

Joey

"eh... I give it an eight outa ten." the brooklyn accented male stated. "Not enough explosions."

Cyrus

"of course, Jaden will love this adventure." the blue midget mumbled.

Jack

"I'd be pissed too if someone took my bike in front of my face like that." the male addressed.

Kotori

"why wasn't yuma wearing pants? who was that other guy?, why did he want me to come? what's going on!?" the girl questioned.

Yuzu

"... soooo, I just found out that Yuya and I are technically one fourth of a person recently, and I have no idea that Yuya can talk to them. maybe i can talk to my other selves too... just a thought."

Takeru

"I'd agree with Yusaku. who comes to them dressed like that? also, isn't roboppy his robot maid? what happened to her that made her go into his duel disk?" the male asked.

"I don't know." the black and red avatar, flame answered. "but it might be concerning that we're leaving this adventure to the most reckless of the AI.

outside, they heard a muffled "I HEARD THAT!" but both shrugged it off.

"before we continue, I'd like everyone to meet our newest addition to the cast."

Walking into the room with everyone else was none other than Rachel Trixen herself. "Hello everyone." she greeted. "My name's Rachel, pleased to meet you." she then walked over to one of the vacant seats.

"well then. let's continue." Yukai said. starting the next episode.

Power up Pep-talk

type: spell (quick play)

effect: target two monsters on the field. the first monster gains the second monster's Atk. the first monster cannot be targeted or destroyed by battle or card effects unless the second monster is destroyed. you can banish this card from the graveyard; all "Multiverse" monsters gain Atk equal to half the combined monsters Atk. (this card is treated as a "Multiverse" card.)

Okay, this is my place." Yukai stated, the two stopping to the rather unique destination. "Please don't break anything."

"..." Rachel stood gobsmacked at the sight of his living arrangement. at a first glance, it just looks like a small store, but the real attraction was on top of the building. the best representation of the sight before her could easily result to having a similar appearance to a tree-house mansion.

"I... never expected it to be... this."

"well, there's a lot of things people don't know about me." walking in through the stores front door, Yukai shouts out. "Ms. Shinto! I'm Back!"

"Welcome back Yukai." a pleasant, elderly voice echoed back through the other room. "there are some guests up stairs who wants to meet you. saying something about timelines and stuff, probably homework."

"Okay, thanks!"

"Is she your-" Rachel questioned.

"No, we're not related." Yukai cut off. "She took me and my friends in, that's all. feel free to look around for a bit." Yukai finished as he walked over to a door and pressed a button, waiting patiently seconds afterward.

looking around the room, the place looks like a small shop, ranging from cards and card sleeves to more odd additions such as perfume and sweets, there were even a few weapons hanging on a wall at one side.

"...what kind of store is this?" Rachel asked.

"just a basic general store." Yukai replied.

catching interest in a sign on the counter, Rachel walked over to where the sign was easily accessible. what she read, however, surprised her.

Pricings!

Tier 10-7: $300-$7,000,000+

Tier 6-4:$75-$250

Tier 3-0: $0.10-$50

"what kind of pricing is this?!" she yelped, if what this sign says is true, then she might have to pay over a million bucks for just one pack of cards.

"it's the Underdog list; the higher the Tier, the higher the price. the lower the Tier, the cheaper it is." Yukai addressed. "it's built like that so that the lower Ranks can have a place to buy/sell their decks and stuff. every other store either ups the price, or flat out refuses service to anyone lower than a 3.5."

"I... I never thought of it that way..." Rachel mumbled. Is that what low tiers have to suffer through? and why does it say that it costs a dime? are they really willing to go that cheap?

"the lift's here." Yukai said, gesturing Rachel to him. walking over to Yukai, the door slides open automatically to reveal an elevator like room. stepping inside, the door closed and both ascended.

"now then, about your questions..." he said, remembering the events from last night.

(Flashback)

"Y-You... wha.. a-a-a G-god Tier, WHA!?"

"SHHH! Calm down, it's not that big of a deal-"

"WHAT!? Not that big of a deal!? I'm standing in the presence of a GOD tier, and it's NO BIG DEAL!?" Rachel screamed, then gasped as if she slapped her mother. "O-Oh god... I'm so sorry-" Yukai's hand covered her mouth, cutting her off.

"Don't. Even. Start." He growled, his tone and voice deep and low with hostility.

"b-but why?" Rachel asked, pulling his hand away. "Why are you a god tier? why are you hiding your tier? WHY-"

"BECAUSE I FUCKING HATE IT!" Yukai roared, silencing her. "I'm the Legendary Tier 10, Big whoop, it's not going to change anything. the low tiers are still suffering and the high tiers are making it worse. I'm NOT like those pricks, and I'm not gonna let my Tier change that!"

"What?" Rachel yelped, surprised by the boy's reason. "low tiers are suffering? Making it worse? What are you on about?"

"You still don't understand? then how about this; see those two?" Yukai started, pointing to the two unconscious bodies in the corner. "Those two are both high tiers. they target low and zero tiers, kidnap them, leaves them in harsh cold or hot environments until they're either hospitalized or dead from hypothermia or heat stroke. and those who survive are tortured into servitude!" Gasping at the horrid description Rachel swallowed back rising bile from her throat.

"If what you're saying is true, then we need to send them to-"

"To what? Prison. the police are just as corrupt and useless. if the victim's lower than a mid tier, they won't even bat an eye, and the higher tiers bribe them to look the other way."

"...how do you know all of this?"

"Do you know of Officer Benedict Biggs?"

"the Head chief of the Lower Quarter's Police Department? he resigned and arrested himself on supposed charges of Rape and Sex trafficking, what's your..." Slowly coming to a realization, she looked back towards Yukai.

"Yup, that was me, and those charges were true." Yukai hissed, confirming her suspicions.

"No... it can't be..."

"and you know what's worse?" Yukai continued. "That not only are the victims our age and LOWER, but the other police officers were IN on the whole thing." at that point, Rachel didn't even bother to resist as the bile within her erupted from her mouth, Yukai stepped away for a bit as the girl vomited all over the ground.

"and don't even get me started on his deck! he used a horrid amalgamation of ALL of his victims best monsters, and each of them looked like he actively tore them apart! some of them are still crying from the trauma!"

"...this is... messed up..."

"yeah, that's an understatement." Yukai mumbled. looking at the state Rachel was in, Yukai's expression changed from anger to guilt. "look... sorry for blowing up on you like that. it's just... I get SO mad at how people could just live like this!"

"A-are all higher tiers like this?" he shook his head.

"Thankfully, no. there are some exceptions, but they barely help at all due to peer pressure from other high tiers."

"...I-I've never known... "

*grooaaan* looking at the source of the noise, both Yukai and Rachel rose an eyebrow at the two other people, who seems to be waking up.

"... How about we continue this at my place? I think they're about to wake u-" Yukai said, only to keep silent as Rachel walked up to them...

and Kicked both of them in the face.

Hard.

a hearty crunch filled the room as their noses were horribly disfigured and a few teeth flew out of their mouths, blood seeping through the damaged faces.

"that should keep them out cold for now." Rachel sighed, turning back to Yukai. "so, what's this about your place?"

not even fazed by the brutality before him, Yukai shrugged. "we should continue this at my place for privacy reasons. i don't want people making a fuss."

"what do you-"

"I think the explosion came from this place!" a distant voice echoed outside, making Rachel jump in surprise.

"well they took their sweet time." Yukai addressed, dropping a black card on the ground near the two crippled bodies. "time to go."

"...yeah." Rachel said, running to catch up to the male. "Hey wait!"

(flashback end.)

"oh right." Rachel said, now picking up were they left off. "okay, so you said something about Rose cards?"

"we're here." he interrupted, the lift slowing to a stop. when the door opened, the two were greeted by nine individuals. three of which Yukai was familiar with.

"I take it these guys are the "chosen ones" that you were referring to?" Yukai spoke.

"yep! thankfully, some of them came without a fuss." DMG cheered.

"you stole my bike and threatened to scrap it!" Yusei growled.

"without a fuss!"

"I would suggest you let that go, Mana won't stop otherwise" DM sighed. "anyways, it appeares that we weren't the only ones who brought guests."

"ah, right. everyone this is Rachel." Yukai announced.

"the name's Jaden Yuki!" Jaden announced. "this here's Yugi, Yuma, Yuya, Yusei and Yusaku." he continued, gesturing to each respectively.

"don't forget about me!" a dark figure added, rising up from Yusaku's watch.

"oh, and AI too."

"ANYWAYS..." Utopia said, gaining their attention. "now that everyone's here, we can talk about WHY they're here."

"Correct, Yukai, have you ever heard of Rose cards?" Mana questioned.

"Actually, I was just about to explain it to Rachel before we got here."

a few minutes later, everyone was situated in a circle of chairs near a sofa. getting comfortable, Yukai rose slightly from his post.

"Alright, now where do I start..." He began. "well long story short, the goddess, Horahkty created a set of gifts as a way of uniting the souls of the Nexus and the human world. these gifts are the 16 rose cards; eight red, and eight white. with these relics, people of ancient times used this power for peace and prosperity... until the more power hungry idiots decided to abuse the power."

"indeed." DM nodded.

"so after two whole wars over them, Horahkty decided to seal them away within people of pure souls, or so I've heard."

"Yep! and it seems like you two have one." Mana replied.

"though i'm rather curious." Utopia chimed in, gaining everyone's attention. "how do you know so much about them?"

"that's simple; I carry six of them." silence echoed through the room...

"BULLSHIT!" Utopia roared, startling everyone at the sudden exclamation. "How can you possess more than one!? only one card can be naturally sealed per person!"

"Again, simple; i won them." Yukai answered nonchalantly, leaving the knight at a loss for words.

"wait... you can win Rose cards?" Yugi asked, joining the conversation.

"to my knowledge, only Rose card bearers can challenge each other for their rose cards."

"meaning if I win a duel whilst betting for one..." Rachel suggested.

"in theory, yes. you can get one of mine."

"in theory?" Yusaku chimed in.

"I've never tested it with a non-Rose card bearer, so i don't know it it works for them."

"..." Jaden stayed silent, but his look seemed to give away is obvious intention.

"No i don't want to find out." Yukai deadpanned, ignoring the indignant groan from the fusion chosen.

"and where do we come in exactly?" Yusaku asked. standing up, Utopia revealed a small device from her armor. the little gadget opened up revealing a glowing image.

"it has come to our attention that there is an alliance between some antagonistic forces at work here." DM answered. "previous foes from each of your timelines have teamed up in the hopes of stealing the rose cards for themselves... as well as Yukai."

"turns out, i'm more valuable than usual."

"But why you specifically?" Rachel asked. "why are they trying to catch you if they also seek the rose cards?"

"that's the other reason why we need Yukai..." Mana replied, eyes turning to her. "you see... he has this "special" ability..."

"OH, you mean my Reincarnate?" this obviously got everyone curious.

"Reincarnate?" Yuya said. at the mention of this so called "ability", the other people in the group turned to Yukai, confusion and curiosity etched on their faces.

"hmm... it might be better to show you..." Yukai said. snapping his fingers, a Winged Kuriboh, floated into the room, holding a heavily damaged Red-Eyes Black Dragon card. thanking the flying puffball and taking the card, he closed his eyes.

everyone was in awe as the card started to glow, wisps of red light flowing from Yukai's body to the card. opening his eyes, which also started to glow, the wisps covered the card completely. suddenly, as if it were glass, the card shattered, red shards falling off, revealing a brand new mint-conditioned card. but unlike before, it was COMPLETELY different from the initial state it was in.

instead of a damaged copy of the Red-Eyes Black Dragon normal monster, was a Link-4 demon/dragon looking link monster named Red-Eyes Chaos END dragon.

"WHOA!" Yuma, Yuya, and Jaden exclaimed in surprise.

"...Is that a Link monster?" Yusaku spoke up, breaking the silence of the bewildered group.

"a what monster?" Yugi asked, but was most likely ignored.

"How'd you do that!?"

"to be honest... I'm not sure." Yukai answered. "I figured this out when I was 4 year old."

"you mean to tell us that not even YOU, the one who can do it, doesn't know how?" Yusei sneered.

"don't blame me, at first I didn't know what to do with it..." Yukai said. "but then, after some time, I just accepted it."

"Accepted?"

"Yeah, If i can do it, then I can, simple as that."

"..."

"no, I don't make cards during my duels. that's cheating, and i'd be nothing more than the people i'm hunting if i did."

"and how do we know you aren't lying?" Yusaku hissed.

"Ask around." was his answer, as if a sudden cue was struck, lots of monsters, old and new alike began filling up the room they were in, all of them voicing their opinion, which all were in favor of the rose duelist. some of which were actually a bit hostile towards the guests, which concerns the group of protags. "besides, it takes lots of energy and focus to make one of them, if i did something as stupid as that in a duel, then i'd either pass out or lose my focus in the duel."

"I believe that should suffice." Dark Magician said, noticing the exhausted look Yukai was starting to show. "we should continue this tomorrow."

"b-but I still have questions!" Jaden said, standing up from his chair, only to jump as a Black Luster Soldier aimed his sword at the dueling academy student.

"i suggest that you don't anger them." Yukai warned. "unlike outside, this place is made so the souls are as real as us; wouldn't want you dead, now do we?"

"WHAT!?"

"well, I do believe that we should call it an evening shall we?" DM interrupted. "it took a while to gather everyone here, and i'm sure you all must be exhausted."

"Yeah. let's continue this tomorrow." Utopia agreed.

"well, I guess." Yukai mumbled, yawning a bit. "guest rooms are over there. feel free to stay the night." he said, gesturing to a nearby corridor.

"I'll talk to you later at school tomorrow." Rachel said. "i still have more questions, but i'll wait until then. Good night."

"night. was his last reply as she left the room, a million thoughts flooding her mind as she left.

I'm cutting it off here because i might brick myself at this rate.
