Hello all. I am so sorry to see that this story was not continued and I really would like this story to finish. With that being said… I am starting the story back up. I finally think I have some new ideas for the story. My plan is to post a new chapter every other month. I hope that I can see this story all the way to the end. Wish me luck and I hope you all enjoy. And without further ado… the long awaited next chapter is here. Leave me a comment and let me know how I am doing.

Outside the fortress night had fallen, yet it was anything but quiet. The village was a buzz with the information that group of mysterious travelers (our very own feather hunters) had stormed the fortress and made it inside. The majority of men had gathered on the streets armed with torches, staffs, and other things that could be used as a weapon; they were preparing to storm the fortress themselves, Syaoran and the others had given them courage. A few feet from this group stood Chu'nyan was watching them with determination and looked over her shoulder at Sakura. She didn't understand why Sakura wanted to go some place with her alone in the middle of the night. "I don't understand Sakura, where are you taking me?" she asked.

"You'll know when we get there." came Sakura's soft reply.

"But I don't have time for this. I wanna be a part of the attack like Syaoran and Kyoya and everyone else in town."

"Have many times do I have to tell you." Chu'nyan was startled by the stern, harsh tone that came into Sakura's voice. "There's something else you have to do Chu'nyan. Now can you except your calling or not."

"Yeah, I'm sorry." apologized Chu'nyan softly as she watched Sakura walk away. "This is weird." she whispered to herself. "What's going on? She's acting just like mom did when she was angry." She gave one more look back at the angry mob of villagers as they ran toward the fortress before turning and following Sakura.

- Fight between Bugal and Kyoya -

Bugal swung his fists this way and that but was never able to actually hit Kyoya. Kyoya had been right; since he had gotten Bugal furious his technique was severely lacking and it was easy to dodge the punches. As Kyoya jumped in the air again he could see Bugal's fist slam into the ground leaving behind another crater yet another crater. Kyoya used his jump to brace his feet against the wall and push off toward Bugal hoping to land a punch of his own. But as he pushed off, the pain in his hurt foot flared up causing him to be momentarily distracted which in turn made his punch way off. Bugal gave a smirk as he kneed Kyoya in the stomach sending him flying backwards. Luckily Kyoya was able to keep his footing but he grabbed his stomach and winched. He gritted his teeth only letting a small groan leave his lips. There was no way that he was going to let the daddy's boy see his pain. Bugal stared smugly over at Kyoya as he pointed at him and spoke while laughing, " Come on kid, is that really all the fight you got?! I guess father's hijutsu truly is invincible." Kyoya glanced up at him. His forehead had a light layer of sweat and his facial features were pained but in his eyes there was a fire.

"Invincible…" he groaned. "Nothing is… truly invincible…there's always… a weak spot… and make no mistake… I Will Find It." Bugal took a step back at the look in Kyoya's eyes; the fire that was burning in them. But he gave another smirk and advanced swinging his fists.

- The 'Illusion' Room -

Fai and Kurogane were doing well at dodging the many spheres that Kishiimu sent their way, but it was getting harder and harder. "The spheres are quick and can change shape too. It's taking all my concentration not to get burned." said Fai.

"Good. You won't have enough time to think of any more dumb nicknames." said Kurogane from his position in front of Fai.

"You continue to impress me children." came Kishiimu's silky voice from below. "Surviving this is no easy task. In fact the only other person who lasted this long was the woman magician from the town of Ryeon Huei."

"You wouldn't happen to be talking about little Chu'nyan's mother would you?" said Fai.

"As a matter of fact, yes she did mention a daughter by that name during our battle. I liked her; this country needs more children like you and her to protect the weak from tyrants. The only reason I'm serving the fool Tambal is because he keeps me hear against my will. But that is my fate. I have no choice but to follow his commands. To guard the one I loath and punish the children I respect." As Kishiimu spoke the purple jewel resting in the middle of her headdress glowed brilliantly. "So as much as it tortures me to do it, I have to wrap this up." She raised her hand and flung her arm out to the side; the long finger nails giving the movement a very graceful look. All the spheres shuddered and sped together forming one giant hand that began to slowly creep toward Fai and Kurogane.

"Well, I suppose this would qualify as picking your poison, 'ey kurly-cue." said Fai.

"We could get crushed by that hand or we can fall in the lake. Either way I doubt we'd be getting out of here alive." gruffly said Kurogane.

"My that does present a problem, see I wasn't planning on dying today."

"Yeah that is a dilemma. So you still aren't gonna use your magic even when your life is on the line."

"That's right. I'm sorry." softly said Fai giving Kurogane a look of sorrow.

"It doesn't make an difference to me." said Kurogane not meeting Fai's eyes.

"Oh and why is that?"

"Cause I'm getting out whether you help me or not." said Kurogane with a determined look. "Fact is, I can't die either… not until I get back home. Mokona won't let us jump until we get this feather and I can't do it on my own. So if I have to chop someone down to leave this world that's what I'll do."

"Now that you mention it, moving to another world does sound good." said Fai, imagining all of the worlds out there just waiting for them to see.

"Getting' nervous… you know, you never told me what your running from."

"I trapped a powerful Mage in an underwater prison. If he escapes he'll come after me. That's why I keep jumping worlds with you, so I'll be hard to find."

"Have you finished your last words?" smoothly said Kishiimu.

"Well if neither of us intends to die, then we'd better think of something soon." said Fai.

"Time's up. Say farewell." Kishiimu gave another wave of her hand and the acid hand moved towards its prey.

"Ready?" said Kurogane giving a side glance to Fai. Fai gave a smile in return and then the two of them leapt into action. Kishiimu watched with a smug smile on her face as Fai fell toward her. "Charging to your death. As you wish." she said but her smile faded a little when Fai gave her his smile and Kurogane suddenly appeared from behind Fai. Kurogane placed his hand on Fai's shoulder and used it to push off. Fai fell to the ground landing on the lowest step of the gazebo. Kurogane landed in front of Kishiimu but before he could do anything she drove her long fingernails into his chest.

- Bugal and Kyoya -

Kyoya hit the wall hard causing it to crack. All the breath from his lungs left his body and he slumped over forcing himself not to lose consciousness. Kyoya gritted his teeth; there was no way in hell he was going to show Bugal how much pain he was really in. He had to think of something fast. If things went on like this for much longer he would be in some serious pain and trouble. What he heard next caused his body to tense. Bugal gave a laugh as he began to mock him, "Not so tough now are you, you little brat. Starting to see just how strong and undefeatable my father's hijutsu is. Just so you know, you never stood a chance and neither do your friends. I'll take them down one by one and then… I'll go for Chu'nyan and your girl travel companion. Oh, but I won't hurt them, no, I'll lock them away in this fortress and make them work as my personal servants. Or better yet, Chu'nyan can be my wife and your friend… well, I have to have some fun so that I don't get bored with marriage. But would it be better to marry your friend and then have Chu'nyan as my…"

"Stop it!" yelled Kyoya sending a kick to Bugal's hands, but Bugal grabbed the leg and squeezed it tight.

"What do we have here, an acid burn. Must be Kishiimu's work. Heh, looks like your fighting style depends on kicks and your lead foot's injured. With this wound you don't stand a chance." laughed Bugal.

"You're missing a few things." said Kyoya softly, but his body was trembling with pent up rage.

"What did you say?" said Bugal, shocked to hear defiance in his enemy's voice rather than hopeless defeat. Kyoya looked straight into Bugal's eyes and gave a smirk.

"Never judge a book by its cover… and in a fight it's always good to keep a few fighting styles secret… and DON'T EVER HURT MY FRIENDS!" Kyoya sent a punch to Bugal's stomach right above his groin. Bugal gave a pain filled grunt and let go of Kyoya's foot immediately as he doubled over. With his foot free Kyoya spun around and used his other foot to kick Bugal right in the mouth. As Bugal listed to one side Kyoya brought his left fist up and nailed him on the other side of his face. Bugal landed on his hands and knees after that punch. With an outraged yell Bugal punched the ground with all his might and stood quickly aiming a punch at Kyoya… but Kyoya was faster. He used a pillar and catapulted himself up and over Bugal, then, as soon as he landed, sent a kick as hard as he could to the back of Bugal's knees. Letting out another pain filled cry Bugal was back on his knees. He tried to stand but his legs wouldn't respond. He lifted his head and saw Kyoya standing in front of him. "I also made a promise, just like my brother, and I'm gonna keep it. I'm not going to let anything get in the way of that… not even you." said Kyoya looking straight into Bugal eyes with an icy stare. Bugal's own eyes widened as he saw Kyoya link his hands together. Kyoya raised his hands high and swung with all his might down on to the top of Bugal's head. Kyoya watched with gratification as the big lummox collapsed to the floor unconscious. "So back off." said Kyoya quietly. At the same moment that Bugal collapsed the sphere surrounding Sakura's feather began to crack; it's power fading.

- "Illusion" Room -

All was still for a moment, then Kishiimu gave a smirk; she had eliminated one of the pesky children. Kurogane had shut his eyes when he saw the nails pierce him; he was not afraid of death. But his eyes snapped open when he felt no pain. He looked down in surprise, as did Kishiimu. Her nails had not entered his body… they had stabbed a mallet. Kishiimu gave a gasp of surprise and Kurogane silently gave thanks for putting the mallet Fai had given him into his shirt pocket. "Quite the tactician child." said Kishiimu in a silky voice covering up her surprise.

"Not really. I just hate this rain." said Kurogane dully hiding his own surprise. "And so… I'm stopping it!" He quickly raised the poll he was holding and brought it down on Kishiimu's forehead before the princess could react. But the poll did not hit her head instead Kurogane had brought it down on the purple gem in the center of her headpiece; shattering it into a million pieces. Kishiimu fell backwards from shock of the suddenly blow more than anything else. The illusionary room immediately faded away and the three of them were standing back in the empty room they had first entered. And so another crack in the sphere joined the first one much to Tambal's dismay.

- In the Corridor -

Kyoya turned to run off in the direction Syaoran went but stopped, the pain in his foot was back and his body ached from taking Bugal's punches. He was about to move forward again when the sound of fast approaching feet made him take cover. From behind a pillar he watched as Sorata and a group of villagers appeared in the corridor. "Sorata!" he said stepping around the pillar.

"Oh Kyoya, it's you. Where are the others."

"Syaoran went to find Tambal and Fai and Kurogane are or were, I'm not sure which, fighting a witch with extremely long finger nails in an illusion room."

"What?" questioned Sorata.

"It's a long story, I'll tell you when we get out of here. What are you guys doing here?" asked Kyoya.

"We came to help you. This is our town and we're taking it back for all those who live here." Sorata said in triumph.

"Patriotic much there, are ya Sorata." thought Kyoya as he stared deadpanned at Sorata who had his fist raised in the air. "Let's go. Kyoya, are you with us?"

"What? Oh yeah." The others began running with but Kyoya called out to them. "Wait. Syaoran went the other way."

"This is a short cut. He's just on the other side of the door at the end of this hall." "Damn it. Syao took the long way. I hope he can get there in time. I don't think I can fight off the Lord by myself." thought Kyoya as his body ached. On the other side of the door at the end of the hall, Tambal watched the group running in his water mirror and gave a smirk, especially after seeing Kyoya with them. "Perfect, just the tools I needed." he said.

- "Illusion' Room -

Kishiimu stared up at Kurogane as he spoke, "Alright witch, don't try anything funny." But this time it was Kurogane's turn to be taken aback at Kishiimu rose and planted a kiss on his cheek. Kurogane couldn't speak; his brain was having trouble processing what was happening. Fai watched all of this from the background, wisely choosing to stay silent. When Kishiimu broke the kiss Kurogane bore his gaze into hers and asked suspiously, "Alright, what kind of spell are you trying to cast now?"

"It's no spell child, I'm only showing you my gratitude. Tambal controlled me using the stone he placed on my forehead." she said.

"Yes, that makes sense." said Fai as he walked up, now that the kiss was over. "And when it shattered the spell was broken."

"Breaking the stone has given me my freedom back. And now that I can choose for myself, I have no intention of stopping you noble children. Tambal and his son deserve whatever punishment you give them." continued Kishiimu. She suddenly stopped and looked up.

"What? Is something wrong?" asked Fai.

"That tyrant is up to his same cowardly methods. No surprise." she said. At that same moment Sorata, Kyoya, and the others had rounded a corner and were surprised to see Tambal standing right in front of them. They all paused in surprise but it didn't last very long and soon everyone was prepared to fight. Tambal looked at them sideways, like he was more superior then anyone else on this world. "Weak minded fools." he chuckled as he extended a hand toward the group. "Let me demonstrate the full power of my hijutsu." A strange power left his hand and hit the group causing everyone to be paralyzed. They all tried to hold onto their tools but their hands wouldn't respond. All the weapons clattered to the floor as if they had been voluntarily thrown there. Everyone's eyes dulled and then stood at command in front of Tambal. Kyoya could feel his mind slipping away and knew exactly what was going on… mind control. He tried his best to fight it but he was tired from his fight with Bugal. Kyoya heard Tambal chuckle and the two of them locked eyes. "You… coward…" grunted Kyoya, but that was all he could get out before his mind went blank and he was trapped within his own body.

- Outside the Fortress -

Sakura and Chu'nyan were standing on the bridge they had sat on not a few days before. Sakura was looking out in the distance and Chu'nyan could only stare at her. There was something about Sakura at the moment that felt very familiar to her. "This town has changed a great deal since Tambal became its lord. But his grip of corruption can only reach so far. Here on the outskirts the old land remains the same." said Sakura.

"What are you talking about Sakura? You guys only came to this town a few days ago." said Chu'nyan in confusion.

"Chu'nyan, look with your heart, not your eyes." Chu'nyan closed her eyes and when she opened them saw and felt something different. It was really in the eyes and the softness of the voice. Tears filled Chu'nyan's eyes and they fell one by one as she quietly and hopefully uttered four words. "Mom, it that you?" Sakura gave a slight nod of her head as Chu'nyan fell into her arms tears streaming down her face. "Mom!" she cried as she held Sakura close. "I've missed you so much."

"I'm here now Chu'nyan." softly said Sakura as she held Chu'nyan to her.

- Inside the Fortress -

Tambal stared into his pool and watched as Syaoran and Mokona got closer and closer to where he was. "I have no intention of risking everything I've gained in a fight. I need a hostage. Understood?" said Tambal turning from the pool to look at two kneeling figures behind him. They both lifted their heads and the vacant eyes of Sorata and Kyoya met Tambal's.

"Of course my lord." said Sorata.

"It shall be done." said Kyoya.

"Excellent. Now go." smirked Tambal as Sorata and Kyoya stood up and gave another bow. Just before they got to the door Tambal yelled to Kyoya. "You, boy! You stay here. I have something else in store for you."

"Yes, my lord. Whatever you want of me it shall be granted." said 'clone' Kyoya out loud but on the inside Kyoya was screaming, 'What am I saying, 'it shall be granted' that's so henchmen cliché. Please make it stop.'. He was fighting to get his body back but he had used up a lot of stamina to defeat Bugal.

"Tell me all about your traveling companions and I will make you my personal body guard, which is one of the highest honors you can receive."

"Yes my lord." said Kyoya in a monotone voice. He began to tell Tambal many, many things about Sakura. Inside his mind Kyoya was screaming for himself to stop. He tried in vain to clamp his mouth shut, but he was too weakened from his previous fight. By the time he was able to silence himself he had revealed almost everything, which included the very important information that Syaoran loved Sakura and she had loved him in return. "Excellent." said Tambal with glee, but gave a slight frown when Kyoya's hands struggled to clench at his sides.

"Stop… it. You're… going… to… lose." grunted Kyoya, fighting with all his might against the power of the purple gem.

"I think not little boy. It is you who will fail and die here in this fortress as will all of your friends." confidently said Tambal as he sent another hijutsu wave at Kyoya causing his mind to once again go blank.

-Outside the fortress-

Sakura and Chu'nyan walked hand in hand. "But mom," said Chu'nyan. "I don't understand what happened. How'd you start inhabiting Sakura's body like this."

"That night, when I battled Tambal and he took my life." said Sakura's voice. "He trapped my soul in the fortress." Chu'nyan remembered that awful moment. She had been dreaming about almost every night since. She wanted to cry at the memory but her mother continued to speak. "With my soul trapped I could only wait, hoping that one day god's beloved daughter would enter the fortress and give me a vessel to escape in. Finally this girl appeared with a heart strong enough to carry me." Cyu'nyan flashed back to what Kyoya said had happened when he and Sakura were in the fortress. She remembered he said that a drop of what looked like water had floated down and entered Sakura right before there were taken from that awful place. Chu'nyan found it to come to terms with that her mother had spent so much time in a place like that. She was so happy that Sakura had come along and was able to release her mother. It was during all this pondering that they finally reached their destination. Chu'nyan stared at the gnarled old tree in front of her. It was dead and had been dead for some time, but even so the sight brought a smile to her face.

"It's the tree." she said.

"So you remember it." said Sakura's voice as she looked down loving at Chu'nyan.

"How could I forget." replied Chu'nyan as memories from a happier time filled her. "This place… it's where you used your folding fan to show me the power of hijutsu." Sakura turned her smiling face toward the tree and raised one of her hands. A second later, new green leaves began to appear on a branch of the old dead tree. "You did that without your fan." said Chu'nyan in astonishment.

"Artifacts aren't the source of hijutsu they merely amplify it."" softly said Sakura as she turned back to face Chu'nyan. "Now you try Chu'nyan. Let me see the power I've always known you possessed."

"Ok." came Chu'nyan's soft reply. She raised both her hands toward the tree hoping to see new leaves sprout along the branches, but nothing happened. She gave a frustrated grunt before extending her hands again towards the tree. Still nothing happened. "What's wrong mom? I'm trying but nothing's happening. You say I can but it never works."

"Chu'nyan." came Sakura's voice with an edge of scolding. "What did I tell you the first time we came to this place." At Chu'nyan's confused express Sakura elaborated. "About the power; what it was for. Have you forgotten?"

"Of course not." said Chu'nyan. "You told me that hijutsu is the power to bring happiness to the people whom you love and that it should be used to help others never for yourself." Sakura gave a confirming nod. Chu'nyan looked down at her hands. "That's it. All this time I've been using hijutsu as a way to get my own revenge against Tambal, but that's not how the power works. My reasons are wrong; I have to use because I want to help the town."

"That's right. Now try it." said Sakura. Chu'nyan closed her eyes and gave a big sigh as she thought about all the people in town. She lifted her hands back toward the tree where, a second later, new green leaves appeared on the branches. Chu'nyan opened her eyes and almost felt like crying she was so happy. "It worked." she said softly.

"That's good." said Sakura's voice coming closer to Chu'nyan. "Now hold out you hands." Chu'nyan did as instructed and a ball of bright yellow light appeared in her hands. She looked up at her mother whose eyes were closed in a peaceful manner as she came Chu'nyan this gift. A second later the light was replaced with a round mirror with a tassel and bell on both sides. "What's this?" asked Chu'nyan.

"An artifact of your own; the hijutsu mirror." said Sakura.

"What do I do with it?" pondered Chu'nyan.

"It will amply your power. You can use it to set the town free. You understand." explained Sakura.

"I do." confirmed Chu'nyan. She looked up at her mother's face and even though she was looking at Sakura she could see her mother in the other's eyes. It had been a long time since this loving gazed was on her.

"And now, I'm afraid we have to say our goodbyes." said Sakura.

"What?" asked Chu'nyan her heart beginning to break at the idea of saying goodbye to her mother all over again. A warm glow appeared around Sakura and a beautiful spirit of a woman floated up from her. The woman had thick black hair, wore long earrings, and had on a white flowing dress. Chu'nyan's eyes filled with tears she had been keeping at bay. This was the way her mother looked where she had last seen her. "No mom." Chu'nyan's voice cracked as she took in the sight of her mom.

"Chu'nyan, I am very proud of you." said her mother.

"But I've hardly gotten to talk to you. Don't go yet. Can't I spend more time with you." cried Chu'nyan her voice getting shakier as tears started to flow down her face.

"I'm sorry but no." her mother replied.

"Then I'm going to keep practicing hijutsu until some day I'm strong enough to bring you back to life." sobbed Chu'nyan.

"That too is impossible to try." her mother said as she began to drift up into the sky. "A life lost can never be brought back no matter how hard you try or how strong you become. It's part of what makes every life so precious my dear. But always remember this, though you might not see me I'll be near you, watching over you through it all. Farewell." With those last words Chu'nyan's mother disappeared in a flash of soft yellow light. Chu'nyan stood staring at the spot in the sky where her mother had vanished. Tears still coursed down her face, her mother was gone again, but this time at least she had gotten to say goodbye. Chu'nyan wiped the tears off her face and turned toward Sakura who had fallen to the ground the second Chu'nyan's mother had left her body. Chu'ynan took a few deep breaths to calm herself before she set about the task of waking up Sakura. Within 5 minutes both girls were racing back toward town.

"We're going to the fortress." panted Sakura.

"As fast as we can." panted Chu'nyan. They began to pick up speed but they immediately skidded to a stop as someone stepped out in front of them. Chu'nyan tensed but quickly relaxed when she saw who was now standing before them. "Oh, it's you Sorata. You scared me." she said in relief. Sorata didn't respond, he just stared blackly ahead of him. To Chu'ynan it seemed as if he wasn't looking at them but through them; like he didn't register there were people in front of him. "Are you ok?" she asked. What he said next sent a chill through Chu'nyan and Sakura.

"I have orders from my lord Tambal. You will come with me." he said. Chu'nyan immediately placed herself between Sorata and Sakura, ready to protect god's beloved daughter. Sorata began to move forward and as he did a few more men from the village came out from behind trees and surrounded the two girls.

"What are you doing?" said Chu'nyan her voice now worried.

"I have orders from my lord Tambal. You will come with me." repeated Sorata. The circle around the girls grew tighter as the men drew closer.

"What's wrong with you!" shouted Chu'nyan.

"Look at their foreheads. Is that a purple gem?" said Sakura worry filling her voice as the circle grew even tighter. The men were almost in reaching distance.

"Sorata, Stop!" yelled Chu'nyan as he placed a hand on her wrist.

- Inside the fortress -

Syaoran stood in front of huge doors. He looked up and down the tall double doors as he prepared himself for what could be inside. "It's here. You're sure." he asked Mokona.

"Yep. The power Mokona feels is strongest right here." the little creature replied.

"Alright. Let's go in." stated Syaoran he voice full of determination. Everyone had fought so hard to get him to this point; he was not about to let their effort go waste. He placed both hands on the door and gave a giant heave. The doors cricked open and he and Mokona stepped into a large room with a small pool in the middle.

"It's there." stated Mokona pointing to the other side of the pool where a glass ball was resting. Syaoran didn't have to see inside it to know that Sakura's feather was there. He began to scan the room looking for any signs of trouble, but he saw nothing until he looked toward the ceiling. There is a giant, floating glass ball was Sakura and Chu'nyan. "Sakura and Chu'nyan. How'd they get here." he said worry beginning to enter his voice. The sound of footsteps drew Mokona and Syaoran's gaze to the other end of the pool. There in front of them was Tambal and he was now holding the glass orb with the feather.

"It's the feather!" shouted Mokona his eyes going wide. Syaoran said nothing but stared at the man across from him and began to formulate his strategy. He could see that the glass orb surrounding the feather had many cracks in it. 'One kick from me will easily shatter the glass. I just have to get close enough and the feather will be mine. Then I'll work on getting Sakura and Chu'nyan out of here.' "I see." he said out loud. "So Fye was right. You are using the feather."

"You got past my shield, sorceress, and son. With that level of power you must be miteshu spies after all. I take it you've seen my hostages." said Tambal.

"Let them go." demanded Syaoran.

"I'm flattered the government is taking notice of me." said Tambal ignoring Syaoran's demand. "It makes me feel so very accomplished, but not even their prized enforcers can stop me when I have this."

Syraoran had heard enough he leapt straight over the little pool and aimed a kick right for Tambal's face. Hoping that when he connected with Tambal the glass sphere would fall to the floor and shatter. His foot, however, never made contact. At the last minute a hand shot out and halted Syaoran's foot inches from Tambal's face. Syaoran stared in disbelief at Tambal's bodyguard. It was Kyoya. 'Kyo, what are you doing? Why are you protecting this evil man.' Syaoran thought. Syaoran scanned his brother's body for some signs of foul play. 'Maybe he was injected with something. Maybe they tortured him into helping protect Tambal.' That's when Syaoran saw the purple gem on Kyoya's forehead. He stared into his brother's eyes for the first time and saw that they were completely blank. There was no sign of Kyoya's energetic, smilely, stubborn self; he was a blank slate. Syaoran felt hopeless in that moment. He had lost Sakura and now he felt as if Tambal had taken his brother from him as well. The next words he spoke were soft but fierce. "What have you done to my brother?"

"Well… he was causing trouble so I tamed him. It was simple with my power of hijutsu. A lift of the hand and he was mine. He makes for a wonderful bodyguard don't you think." Tambal placed a hand on Kyoya's shoulder that signified to Syaoran that he owned his younger brother.

Anger began to fill Syaoran. 'No one owns my brother. There is no way Kyo is going to take this laying down.' Out loud Syaoran began to speak directly to Kyoya. "Kyoya, if you can hear me, you have to break free of this tyrants hold. I know you and you'd never just lie down and take this. I know you are tired after your fight, but the fight is not over. Now wake up. Sakura needs you. I need you."

Tambal let out a chuckle. "He can't hear you. After two hits from my hijutsu he is so far gone I doubt he will ever come back. He is mine forever." His laugh grew until it was ringing through out the room. Syaoran ignored him and kept his eyes on Kyoya; almost willing his brother through his eye to wake up. Then it happened, Kyoya's eyes gave the slightest blink and his hand holding back Syaoran's legs began to slowly go limp. Tambal's laughter abruptly stopped when he saw Kyoya slowly lower his hand to his side and stammer out a few words. "Syao… s… sorry… end… it… pl… pl… please." Syaoran gave a smirk; he knew his brother was still in there. He locked eyes with Tambal and the look he gave was enough to make Tambal tremble.

"Let them all go now." demanded Syaoran. Tambal's eyes widened and he quickly unleased the power for Sakura's feather. The glass orb glowed brightly and Syaoran was flung back to the other side of the pool. Syaoran hit the ground hard but was able to scramble back to his feet quickly. Kyoya on the other hand was flung to the other side and hit the wall where he crumpled to the floor unconscious. "Syaoran! Kyoya!" yelled Mokona. The little white creature looked back and forth between his two friends unsure of whom to go to.

"I'm alright Mokona." said Syaoran, his eyes never leaving Tambal. "Go to Kyoya."

"Ok." said Mokona and he toddled off to Kyoya's side.

"Even though I no longer have that useless brat as my bodyguard I still hold all the cards. Remember boy, lay a finger on me and I'll kill your companies. All of them. It would be an easy task with this feathers power." threatened Tambal his eyes shifting from Kyoya to Chu'nyan and ending at Sakura.

"You need more than empty threats. I won't let you touch them." said Syaoran his eyes burning with determination. Tambal gave the slightest of shivers. The look in Syaoran's eyes caused him to worry; he could very well loose this fight.

"Kill him." he growled out and many footsteps could be heard rushing toward the room. Within a minute Syaoran was completely surrounded by men from the village. Syaoran took in their farm equipment that they were using for their weapons. 'They must be under the same spell as Kyoya. I can't hurt them; they don't know what they're doing. So, how do I get to Tambal.' thought Syaoran.

"Look out." Mokona worriedly called out.

"All of these men's minds belong to me and they will do whatever I command. You were able to get past my sorceress and my son with the help of your friends, but they aren't able to help you now. So, let's see how you fair with an army now that you are all alone." said Tambal an evil grin spreading across his face.
