He blinks at her vaguely. He'd only made a joke- it was overdue, he hadn't made one for five minutes. "I'm sorry?" Strongclaw says, uncertainly, not really sure why he's apologizing at all. "I mean, it's not the end of the world, Sablefrost, we'll figure it out." He tries a more serious tact, although he's not sure why she objected so vehemently to the idea of disguising herself as Tallstorm to sneak onto the raiding party. It's easily far from the most outrageous thing he's ever uttered.
"I just need you to be serious," she hisses, storming past him, swollen stomach brushing roughly against his shoulder. She can't know he can only be serious in a world where she's dead.
