Harry woke up in the morning going down to breakfast. It was Arianna's day off so he wouldn't be seeing her today but didn't mind that one bit. He sat at the table with Christian who smiled at him. "Harry son today you will go out with Sirius as he is taking you to Alton Towers for the day but before that I wish to give you a lesson in social behaviours. I will tell you some things now which will help you for later on when you need to go to the Wizengamot as you get older and so on ok?" he asked as Harry nodded.
"Yes! Go Sirius! I'd like very much to know anything you must teach me Dad you know that!" he said as though the question he'd asked had been silly.
"In the Wizengamot you will find lots of people say lots of things and a common misconception in my humble opinion is that you should focus solely on what they are saying. I think personally it's not about what you say but how you choose to say it. An example being that if I told you not to do something you would not do it. However, if I said to you not to do something as I really didn't think you'd be capable of doing it you would of course feel like doing it right away as I would have only said you weren't allowed to do it because I thought you were not capable of it. We all have a built in mechanism which tells us we need to prove someone wrong should they say this and it's not always correct. There are instances where this will be correct, however, as well as focusing on how someone is choosing to say something you should also try and focus on why they would like you to do something that might not be advisable if that is their aim. Do you understand?" he asked as Harry looked at him in surprise and then as though he'd done something wrong confusing Christian greatly.
"Umm ok Dad look I know I shouldn't have but I did something and I'm not sure if it was ok or not. Essentially I was in your office the other day getting something and the pensive came out by accident. I couldn't help myself and I had to look at the memory inside. I saw what Albus Dumbledore did to me as a baby and I must say it made me very sad. I have no trust in the man at all and I don't like that as he really does look like a kind old man at first glance. It scared me as initially I had thought he looked so lovely and then he wasn't. I was disappointed in myself that I couldn't see how awful he truly was. It really scared me as had I met him without seeing this I may well have trusted him and he may well have lead me down a path to doing some things which were evil. I am so sorry!" he said crying as Christian looked shocked.
"Harry as it was a memory about you I really don't mind you seeing it. I always keep that memory in that pensive as a strict reminder to never trust the man. I also keep it there so that should I ever need to use it later on I can access it at the drop of a hat. To be honest I am both shocked and proud that you came to that conclusion on your own. He is as you observed on your own a very bad man who hides it well. I would never allow you to trust him or for him to do the wrong thing with you. I would not send you to school without you knowing this first I would have shown you that memory before you attended school anyway. Do not linger on it. Please pay close attention to anything he may tell you or any special treatment he may try and give you. When he figures out that the people he abandoned you with legally and magically signed you over to me he may try and get you to return to them however legally and indeed magically he is forbidden from doing so. I am telling you this as he may think you do not know this and may think you would willingly agree to return to those people which will never happen. Besides which he would look very foolish to try as those people essentially no longer exist as far anyone else is concerned. Essentially if he tried to give out to me about that and or say anything about it he'd then have to explain it to everyone which he won't want to do. It is for this reason I don't think he'll do anything" he said hugging Harry who smiled at him wiping away his tears.
"Thanks dad. That means a lot to me. By the way I've been practising what you taught me and after seeing that memory I am happy I did. Will you test me out and tell me if you like it or if I should change it in some way?" he said referring to his occlumency shields.
Christian nodded entering his head quickly in the most non invasive way he knew. This way it would not be so obvious he was even in there as this would be the method Dumbledore would surely use. As he began looking around deeper searching for memories and recent experiences it was as if the brain itself had become infected with a virus and so to even stay in their would infect his own brain in essence giving him no choice but to leave. He was if he was honest very impressed.
"Well done Harry. That was impeccable. I knew I could continue but my brain told me that to do so would infect me so I left at once which is what most if not all people will do. I am so proud of you. It is for this reason that I taught you occlumency so young. Continue to practice your meditation for ten minutes each day in the morning and evening. Here is Sirius. Hello Sirius!" he said as Sirius emerged from the fireplace dusting himself free of the soot.
"Hello Chris. Hey pup are you ready for a day of unbridled fun?" he asked as Harry leapt out of his seat hugging him.
"Yes I am ready. Thank you so much Sirius. You're the best. I'll just get my coat and then we can leave!" he said kissing Sirius' cheek and running out of the room.
"Sirius he saw Dumbledore's memory I've been waiting to show him at the right time. Suffice it to say he now knows all about Dumbledore and the manipulations he may try and use and is indeed well prepared for anything which may come up. As you know I've been teaching him how to use occlumency and wandless magic and thus far he has succeeded very well. Should you know anything you think he will benefit from please feel free to teach him just tell me what it is once he knows it" he said as Sirius smiled at him.
"Yes I will indeed. I know a few pranking spells and indeed one which would be very useful as it can make the person have control over what someone says for ten minutes at a time. The point of that spell is not that it's short it's what you can change in a short space of time. Myself and James created it in our last year at school and had it trade marked as being made by James Black to signify us both without being too obvious should we need to hide it. Only the two of us and soon yourself and Harry will know how to use it. I trust you very much as you know and I am delighted with how things have been going with Harry. He's really blossomed. I am so happy we could all get to him when we could" he said hugging a grateful Christian who was only too delighted to learn a new spell.
In his room Harry sent off a package with vintage hairpins in it to Luna and he smiled as he knew she'd like it. Luna was in her room chilling out when the package arrived. She opened it and squealed her dad running into her room. The vintage flower hair pieces would look amazing in her long blonde hair and she felt so special. Harry left for Alton Towers feeling wonderful. It was shaping up to be a good day so far.
