Her eyes brighten at the bright lights of Tux Tavern, announcing their weekly karaoke nights. This was not his idea of a first date. He had asked her to reconsider; they had reservations at Millennium – they couldn't possibly change now.
"Let's live in the moment," she had grinned, pulling him inside the venue before he could protest.
It's going to be a long night, Thomas groans taking a seat at the bar.
MC takes the stage, smiling as an eruption of drunken encouragement fills the bar. Leaning into the microphone she speaks, a dedication to him.
