"I've always loved you, MC. From the moment you walked into my classroom – granted you were late – but I always knew you were special. But it wasn't until I noticed the ring that my feelings for you shifted. They changed. Keeping these emotions inside was difficult but I had to get close to you somehow. Maybe by accepting to give you away that I could get over it; that maybe I could get over you."

Thomas takes a few steps towards MC until his hand cups the side of her face.
