[29] Mistake

"I never wanted this to happen."

Her eyes meet his – the twinkle in her eye is gone as she shuts the door and takes a few slow steps towards his desk. "I wanted to tell you sooner but this was a mistake."

Thomas glares in her direction, pushing himself to a standing position before walking to where she was. "Don't, MC. You can't just stand there and pretend that you don't feel the same way. That our kiss meant nothing to you."

The tears start to form in her eyes. She looks away.

"Have you even told him yet?"

"No."
