"All I wanted was for you to talk to me but you avoiding me aren't helping things, you know."
They're both now a few blocks away now, walking aimlessly down the streets of LA before he had opened his mouth. If in a moment of clarity, MC abruptly stops walking.
"Do you understand the position you've put me in, Thomas?"
Thomas turns around to face her, his brow furrows as if she had asked a stupid question.
"Of course I do."
Before MC could even retort, Thomas steps forward and reaches down and allows his fingertips graze against her jaw.
