Thomas stands in the doorway, cradling a cup of coffee in his hands as he watches her intently.

MC goes to open her mouth but as if it was like he could read her mind, Thomas exclaims, "don't worry; I slept downstairs on the couch."

A mixture of relief and regret fills her stomach as MC goes to stand up from the bed.

"I'm sorry for last night," MC mumbles sheepishly as she heads towards the door. "But I didn't need saving."

"... Even from yourself?"

MC goes to brush past him, quietly avoiding his gaze.

"I can't do this."
